Sender from Report-Mail

Hello,
I have to change the sender-Adress from Report-Mail. Can somebody tell me how I have to configure the sender-Adress. At the moment I get the sender-Adress oracle@<servername> when destype=mail.
Thanks
Heike

You can specify the e-mail address in the parameter FROM.
destype=mail FROM=[email protected]

  • How can I disable sending from one Mail account?

Hello. I have a gmail account that I use to subscribe to various newsletters and accounts. So it's essentially a read-only account for me. But I too frequently accidently send mail from that account. Is there a way to prevent mail from being sent from that account?

I want to do the same thing as the OP.  I have tried making outgoing server none. And checking "always use this server so it prompts me to edit the message so that I manually select a different address to send from inthe drop down list. And selecting a different account for composing.  Actually, all my outgoing emails keep coming from the one account I am attempting to disable.  Got any other ideas?

  • Hotmail users don't see pictures send from program "mail" on Mac

I'm using "mail" (i.e. Mac's standard mail program) under Mac OS 10.6.8 and whenever I want to put image files (like JPEG or PNG  documents [*]) in attachment it includes it right in the text body of the mail itself… resulting in red crosses if the recipient uses hotmail.
[*] even PDF documents are plainly SHOWN instead of having it as an attachment! Grrrr…
    • Anyone who can tell me how to avoid including documents in the text body of the mail (and thus to keep it as a separate attachment)?
    • Anyone who can tell me how to help hotmail users on PC to view images coming from a Mac sender?
    THANKS

I was having the same problem; but I've found a workaround that might help. Here's what to do:
Set up your iCloud account on your iPhone/iPad with whichever email address you want as your main one; either .me or .mac.
Set up a Gmail account if you don't already have one. It doesn't matter if you don't ever intend you use it for sending email.
Go to your 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' settings on your iPhone/iPad, and add the Gmail account if you don't already have one set up.
Go into your Gmail settings and under 'Account' list all the email addresses you want  want to send from as your secondary option. In my case, I had already set up iCloud with .mac so I've listed the .me one in my Gmail settings. Put a comma and space between each email address. I've got three email addresses listed here. (See screen grab). Oddly, I didn't seem to have the comma key available on my iPad, so I listed my email addresses in 'Notes' and cut/pasted them in.
Now when you send an email, you should have all those addresses available to send from.
    Hope this helps.
    Tom.

  • Is there a way to default send from one mail account across multiple mail accounts?

I have a user who has her own Exchange mailbox account. I have added two separate Exchange mail accounts. I want to be able to force her (even if she is in one of the other two mail accounts) to send from her own Exchange account. I know you can manually change it every time, but is there a way to force it automatically? Thanks.

Nope. There is no universal mailbox on the iPhone.

  • Can't Send From IMAP Mail Accounts

I set up 4 different email accounts within Mail. The send button is grey'd out on the 3 IMAP style account setups. Send is only active when I choose to send from the Gmail outgoing server. How can I fix this while still using the IMAP style which enables my Push with my new iPhone to work?
    Thanks!

Okay, so I have yet to solve this. Here's what's happening now.
All of my 4 email account are set up as IMAP but now I'm only receiving gmail on my iPhone and I'm not seeing any new mail from the other IMAP accounts on iPhone. What the heck?
    Anybody?

  • Mail sending from wrong Mail.app gmail account

I've got about 5 different gmail accounts in Mail.app -- two are actual gmail accounts and three are @mywebsite.net that I host through Gmail.
Up until recently everything was fine but now it seems all my mail is being sent from one gmail account, regardless of which account I choose to send from.
To the right of the "From:" dropdown menu is another dropdown, but mine is filled with indistinguishable "Gmail" names, maybe there's a way to edit those to make it more clear?
I've just spotted there's a way to set a default "From" email address in the prefs but I'd prefer not to always send from the same address... as in, that's the point of having so many emails in the first place. I've already sent out a bunch of business emails from my personal accout and confused a whole lot of people so it would be great to have this sorted soon.
    Thanks,
    Connor

I just went through this with 4 email addresses, and the solution seems to be in how your SMTP servers are setup. Here's how to fix it:
Go into preferences and under the account tab, click on your first account.
In the "Outgoing Mail Server" dropdown near the bottom, click "Edit SMTP server list"
Go through each server in this list and 1) make sure it has a meaningful name and 2) that the correct login info is entered under the advanced tab. Mine were jumbled up, with some being identified as one account but having login info for another.
Once this is straightened out, select each email account (we're done with the SMTP list at this point) and select the server from the dropdown list that you just verified and check "use only this account".
Once all addresses are associated only with their servers, you should be all set. Now you won't have any account accidentally loging in with the wrong credentials just to send. Why this isn't the default functionality is beyond me.
    Hope this helps.

  • IMac Mail strips sender from sent mail

I'm helping a friend who has an unusual problem with Mail on their iMac (10.9.5).
This first part may be a red herring. There are four email accounts on the machine iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, and one other linked to a domain name. For no apparent reason all four accounts suddenly stop working. If you take all accounts off-line and then back online again, sometimes three or four times, they will start working again. Similarly, if you restart the machine two or three times they will often start working again but stop after a couple of days. Both of these methods make no changes to any of the settings.
However, that is not the problem I'm looking for an answer to. The iCloud, Gmail and Yahoo accounts all work exactly as expected. The fourth account sends email OK but when it arrives it says "no sender". A machine running Windows, an iPad and an iPhone all have that account on them and are all using the same outgoing server settings but they can all send email without stripping the sender's details. The sender details do appear on the email in the Sent box of the iMac but not on the receiving machine. However, if the receiver looks at the full headers of the email, the Reply To Address is there.
I can only think of applying the 10.9.5 Combo Update or updating to 10.10. Any other suggestions?

Update released by Apple today can help you remove attachments from sent mails.
Open the sent mail: click on "MESSAGE", then go to REMOVE ATTACHMENTS.
    And that's all.

  • Why are my sent items not stored when sending from Apple Mail?

    Hello Apple Support Communities,
I am Using an iMac at my place of employment. It is running OSX Yosemite v10.10.2 . I am also using Apple Mail to connect to our Exchange 2010 Server. I do the same with my iPhone, iPad, and Windows Laptop using Outlook 2013. For a while now, several months in fact, It turns out that any emails sent from my iMac using Apple mail will not store a copy of it in my sent items on the server. They are not stored in the iMac account, the iPhone, the iPad, or Outlook on my Windows Laptop. However, any email sent from the other devices will have a copy stored in the sent items folder and it will propagate to all of my devices.
Upon investigating, I found myself looking through the tracking logs of my Exchange Server and found that Apple Mail and the iPhone send messages completely differently. I think this might be the source of my problem, but I have no clue whether I can fix it, or even where to start. Here is an image depicting the logs. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you for your time!

Sometimes this issue is caused by a misconfiguration or incompatibility of the Exchange server, or perhaps by a bug in Mail. If so, you won't be able to resolve it yourself. The fact that your iOS devices may be working well with the same account isn't relevant, because iOS uses a completely different protocol (ActiveSync) to communicate with Exchange servers. By default, OS X Mail uses the EWS protocol.
Each of the following steps has been reported to help with Exchange issues, at least temporarily, in some cases:
    1. Back up all data. Open the Internet Accounts pane in System Preferences and check to make sure you don't have duplicate Exchange accounts. If you do, delete all but one of the duplicates. If there are no duplicates, delete the account and recreate it with the same settings. The messages will still be on the server.
    2. Rebuild the affected mailbox.
    3. Reindex messages.
    4. In the Keychain Access application, delete the password item for the account. The next time Mail tries to access the account, you'll be prompted for the password. Check the box to save it in the Keychain.
    5. If you've created subfolders of any Exchange mailbox, log in to the server through its web interface, move the messages out, and remove the subfolders. For best results, a mailbox should have no subfolders.
    6. Synchronize with the server using IMAP rather than EWS. This is only possible if IMAP is enabled on the server.
    7. Consider using Outlook instead of Mail to access your Exchange mail.

  • Font problem sending from Mac Mail to PC users.

I'm using Mac Mail - as I wanted to do away with Entourage to bring everything under the Mac umbrella. Problem is now that I have switched app. whenever I send a mail to a PC user the font changes to Times. I've tried changing my default font from Arial, to Tahoma and Verdana (all commonly used fonts in Outlook & Entourage etc) but it always comes through as Times. I can however trick it by changing the font just before I send the mail and it then comes through as the specified font.

It's my one HUGE complaint about Mail and it is a
simple problem. Pre-Tiger when Mail used HTML
formatting, there was not problem. But the RTF
    formatting is bollocks.
Pre-Tiger, Mail did not use html, it used .rtf. Tiger Mail now uses HTML. (Both are called "rich text" in Mail). But the "default" settings are for incomings, not outgoings. For outgoings you need to do it for each message with the Font Panel. And of course at the other end, the recipient has to be viewing html: If his mail client is set to read plain text, it will use his font preferences and not what you intended.
Best to send Apple some feedback on how you would prefer that it work:

  • Receiving, But Not Sending from Apple Mail

I recently created my own domain (from GoDaddy), and added the email address that goes with it to Apple Mail. As far as I can tell, I followed all the instructions given on the GoDaddy site for using this program, and my incoming and outgoing servers seem to have been entered correctly. However, I cannot send mail using the new email address. It receives it, but doesn't send it. Can anyone help?

I am having exact same problem with domain from google.
What is most odd is that I have Mail set up on 3 devices - an iMac, an iPhone and a MacBook. I have the exact same information filled in setting up the email accounts on all 3 devices, and it works just fine from two of them, but not from my MacBook. It receives fine, but when I send it just keeps trying to send for several hours until it finally tells me it could not connect to Server. yet when I do a Connection doctor & it tells me it is connecting to thre Server, and the Message Drop down menu tells me it is Online, but the "Outgoing Mail Server" in the account setup says it is offline.
BUT ALL 3 DEVICES ARE SET UP EXACTLY THE SAME!!! How can that possibly be!?!

  • Intermittently can't send from Apple Mail on my Gmail account

Since buying my new MacBook Pro and migrating from Entourage, Apple Mail is proving very temperamental. I can receive mail OK, but sometimes, at random, outgoing emails just sit in the Outbox. On opening the Activity window, all I can see is Sending Message; 'connecting to server 'smtp.gmail.com' just endlessly scrubbing away. And yet sometimes, mail goes out fine. Never had this problem with Entourage. Any ideas how to rectify this problem?

It is more likely to be due to something related to the ISP at your home venue. Do you have an email account set up that they would provide and sending with the SMTP they provide?
Another thing to check is whether you are always connected to your own router, and not that of a neighbor sometimes? Can you connect your MacBook via cable to see if it works reliably in that mode? The randomness of the behavior is important, I think.

  • My apple mail 4.5 is not displaying my gmail but it will send from Apple mail. What can I do to get it to receive and display

I can't get my gmail to display on my Macbook Pro Mail 4.5. It appears to be synching and it shows on the top that there are messages but they do not display. It will allow me to send emails but it does not display received emails. Any suggestions?

Have you tried resetting the iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Email very slow to send from Mac Mail

    Hello,
Wondering if anyone else has this problem. Whenever I open up Mac Mail, the first emails I try to send via the btinternet server take more than 5 minutes to go, sometimes closer to 10. It doesn't seem to be a problem with Mac Mail itself as messages sent via other servers go immediately. Once the first email eventually goes, subsequent messages send fine. I'm using POP (as I always have) with ssl, port 995. Mac is 10.6.8.
The problem started a few weeks ago when I went abroad for work and used Mail via my hotel wireless system. Not sure if that's just a coincidence.
    Any advice most welcome!
    Michael
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Ok. It may be that the Mail index files are clogged.
You can check your current 'envelope archive' size by entering this in the Terminal (simply Copy and then Paste the lines into the Terminal window to avoid any typing errors):
    ls -lah ~/Library/Mail/Envelope\ Index
Then to optimise it (cleans out stuff that has been marked for deletion but not actually deleted, defragments the structure, etc):
    sqlite3 ~/Library/Mail/Envelope\ Index vacuum;
Then check your envelope archive size again to see the results:
    ls -lah ~/Library/Mail/Envelope\ Index
In terms of size the decrease will not be huge, but you may well notice an increase in speed.
