Unable to Convert Sender Service to an ALE Logical system
Hi,
I am doing a simple SOAP -> PI 7.11 -> IDOC scenario. All objects are created and activated. In testing I get an error
Unable to convert the sender service TemporaryDisconnection_Sender to an ALE logical system
Sender is a Business Service.
I search SDN and found this blog /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/29/xi-error--unable-to-convert-the-sender-service-to-an-ale-logical-system
I did the Compare with SLD for the Business System. But still the error comes.
In mapping I Disable EDI_DC40 segment.
Also find one suggestion which tells to change the Header Mapping in Receiver Agreement, what exactly should I put in Sender Communication Component of the Header mapping?
Thank you,
Pankaj.Hi,
In this thread I could find a solution by Michal: Unable to convert the sender service to an ALE logical system
3. click on sender service (header mapping section) and select your business system that represents XI business system
Will try if it works for me also.
If there are any suggestions, then please do post.
Thank you,

Unable to convert the sender service to an ALE logical system
Hello,
file adapter > XI 3.0 > Idoc adapter > r/3 system
In sxmb_moni I receive "Unable to convert the sender service to an ALE logical system".
In we05 in r/3 system no Idocs are arrving. I have no problem with idoc > XI > idoc scenario to this same r/3 system (using same sld business system)
I read other topics on this error but it seems they all talk about an IDOC outbound interface.
What should I check?
Thanks
BoazI do have the same problem as Boaz Paz
When I try :
file adapter > XI 3.0 > Idoc adapter > r/3 system
> This is a B2B scenario where "AVTItalia" is the external party trying to send via its "AwayOrders" business service (a file pickup) an idoc to business system "UPG" (non party service)
I get an error while XI tries to call its IDoc Adapter:

I ve tried to (cf. /people/saravanakumar.kuppusamy2/blog/2005/01/20/configuration-tips-for-a-business-serviceintegration-process-to-send-back-ale-audit-idoc ):
1. add a logical system name "ACYAVTFBC1" in "Adapter specifier Id" of "AwayOrders"
In the runtime cache > services an entry appears for " ... Logical System | AVTItalia | ACYAVTFBC1...".
2. declare "AVTItalia" as a business partner in SLD with the logical system name

Once again: Unable to convert sender service to an ALE logical system
Hi,
I know there's a lot of threads regarding that error but I didn't find one that fits to our current scenario:
IDoc -> XI -> File
We have checked if the logical system name in SALE (of sending system) fits to the one in the business system and it does now.
It didn't fit at first but we've changed it in the SLD and reimported the business system.
We still get the same message:
<SAP:Code area="IDOC_ADAPTER">ATTRIBUTE_INV_SND_SERV</SAP:Code>
<SAP:Stack>Unable to convert sender service to an ALE logical system</SAP:Stack>
There is no logical system entered in the receiver business system. Do we need that? But of which logical system?
Thanks for any advice
KarstenHi,
Acknowledgments
Receiver adapters that run on the Adapter Engine support system acknowledgments if they are requested by the sender.( Ex : Idoc----File). Here by default Idoc has the inbuilt feature of requesting the Ack.
Acknowledgments are triggered when a message is successfully processed by the adapter or if an error occurs while it is being processed. Receiver adapters do not support application acknowledgments.
Sender adapters of the Adapter Engine do not request any acknowledgments

Still i am getting this error can anyone please let me know what to do now..??
Please treat this as urgentHi,
This error is caused when Sender System name does not match the logical system name of partner. As you mentioned you have done all the steps to ensure that, here's a checklist that could be helpful:
1. Check adapter specific parameters for sender system.
2. Maintain header mapping in receiver agreement and ensure that sender service name provided is same as business partner name required in R3 and business partner type is LS.
3. This may sound very basic, but ensure that checkbox for 'Apply control record from payload' is not checked and if it is then the values passed through payload are appropriate.
Hope this would be helpful.

Error "Unable to convert the sender service to an ALE logical system"
Hi,
I send I message from XI to R3 and I get the error "Unable to convert the sender service to an ALE logical system" in transaction "sxmb_moni". I've configured the idoc-adapter, as following:
-I have created a business system "r3sys_bs" with a logical system "r3system". This business system is the idoc-adapter. This logical system is also created in transaction "bd54". In the ID I have assigned the business system the logical system (adapterspecific identification).
So, this error still appears.
Can anybody help me please?
Regards
StefanHi,
our scenario is JMS --> XI --> IDoc
so, I have created a business system "jms_bs" without a logical system in sld, that I use for the jms-connection to another software. so, the business system is a "third party".
Then I have created a business system with assigned logical system for the IDoc-Receiver as I in my first posting mentioned.
Which of both business systems need a logical system?
Thanks

Unable to convert the sender service XID_900 an ALE logical system Error~
Dear Expert:
I received a IDOC Ack but there is an error ocour~
Unable to convert the sender service XID_900 an ALE logical system
XID_900 is our business system that config in SLD.
it's very weird ....sender server should be like point to our BPM isn't?

Jack Leehi,
>>>it's very weird ....sender server should be like point to our BPM isn't?
this means that your XID_900 business system in Integration directory
does not have adapdater specific identifiers filled in
it has nothing to do with a BPM

Hi,
Im DOing File to Idoc scenario.
Firstly i check LS name exist or not in BS.. then i found its not maintained.
I edited the BS and provided the required LS name.
and the same has been tested in ID
Business System -> Service -> Adapter Specific Identifiers .
Now i got logical system name in "Adapter Specific Identifiers".
Pressed Apply, save and activate the changes.
But still it is showing the same error.
1. Any idea what might have gone wrong??
2. I need to maintain the
LS name of R/3 in XI system? and
LS name of XI in R/3 system?
Is it necessary?
Waiting for your answers.
Regards
Seema.
Edited by: reddy seema on Dec 27, 2007 1:37 AMHi Reddy,
just mention the logical system name in the Sender Business system or Service ( click on sender business service> Service(menu)> Adapter Specific Identifiers--> specify the logical system name which you configured in R/3 WE20 ..) in R/3 side WE20 you need to configure the Inbound parameters of your Idoc ..
Here sender business system and Reciver Business system logical system names are different.. for checking just go to Services and check the adapater specific identifiers..--> then you can find the name of logical system.. like that you need to check for both systems.. and both should be different..
try with this option..

File-idoc Unable to convert the sender service to an ALE logical syste
Hi experts
iam working on file-idoc scenario ,iam getting the below error in sxmb_moni and RWB

i checked the partnetr profile, RFC(sm59) and IDX1 t codes.
the connection is ok. but still i could figureout the problem.

Thanks
vasaviHi,
Have u checked the logical system is added in the Sender Business service in the Integration Directory?
Open the Buiness Service/System --> EDIT-ADAPTER SPECIFIC IDENTIFIERS
then specify the logical system name.
Go throgh the following link

Unable to convert the service as an ALE logical system
nHi to All..
I'm facing a problem in one scenario IDOC to RNIF. I got this problem "Unable to convert the sender service to an ALE logical system. In that Interface is working properly but the thing is Acknowledgement is showing error and when I was triggring the IDOC from ECC at the time message Data Receiving successfully but coming to Acknowledgement Am getting ERROR. Any one can please do the needful for this.
Note:- Sender is Business system and Receiver is Business Service
Thanks and Regards
SrinivasHi srini
Receiver System is SEND the acknowledge to ECC here only we are facing the problem
help me uderstand correctly ...
your asyn interface is ECC(sender)-to- Bservice receiver .(works fine)
now Bservice (sends an ACK)- to -ECC (receiver) - do u have other asyn interface for this .. must be.
if not this means you are trying out sync scenario in which you are expecting the ack to go back to ECC syn (which i think not possible or u need to use BPM as the idoc interface will be always asyn).
try giving the LS name in the Bservice , not in the Bsystem as you mentioned.or
open your receiver agreement and select header mapping - Sender service
choose your PI's business system

Getting error message ' Unable to convert sender service to an ALE logical
Hi,
I am using idoc to file.
and my xi system is working fine. at sudden when i process one idoc . I got this message.
Unable to convert sender service to an ALE logical system
Here in monitoring, i am able to see the success falg but in acknowledgement column, i see system error..
I did no change in configuration.
Your inputs will be appreciable.Hi,
Also, is it possible that the XI system was recently upgraded?
As you indicated that no config changes were done, therefore, such error should not just pop up with no reason.
In an earlier release of XI (sorry I cannot recall the SP level), IDOC ack was not provided. However, in a later release, it is the default.

Hello All,
In SOAP to IDOC scenario I tested the webservice with the client tool. Its hitting the integration engine but its throwing up an error" unable to convert the service as an ALE logical system". Unable to convert the sender service to an ALE logical syst
Hi,
My scenario is IDOC to File.
SLD:Configured Correctly ,ABAP Business System.
Imported the same in ID,under Adapter specific Identifiers gava the Logical system as in WE20.
In the Receiver Agreement,Header mapping tried giving the sender service,Receiver service.
Still the Error "Unable to convert the sender service to an ALE logical syst" is seen in SMQ2.
The file is getting generated at receiver directory mentioned in the receive CC.
There is no error seen in SXMB_MONI.
Did any one had a problem as this.
Thanks,
SrinivasaHi,
You need to specify the Logical Name of Business System under Adapter specific identifiers for your Receiver Business System.
The specified item was not found.
Secondly you can use Header Mapping in Receiver Agreement. Or
If you are taking your control records from payload then tick the check box "Apply Control Records from Payload".
