Sending a gift using my existing Store Credit.

I just wanted to know why I can't send a gift using my store credit.
At the Billing Info page, the option to redeem an iTunes card is presented, so I did, as I have decided to purchase everything with my credit rather than by using a credit card.
And it still won't let me send a gift!
Any answer explaining this will be greatly appreciated.

What happens when you try to send a gift ? If you are getting an error message then what does it say ?
If you are getting a message to contact iTunes Support when trying to send it then to do so (these are user-to-user forums) :
- go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww
- click on your country's flag
- click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column
- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
- then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

This is not permitted. You cannot buy a gift wth credit/gift balance.
You must use a credit card.

I am having a problem sending a gift through the app store to my fiancee' in Thailand.

Everytime I try to send a gift to my fiancee' in Thailand, she is unable to redeem the code. The code given by I-Tunes to her is for the US store only! Is it possible for them to send a code out that would work in her store? Is there something I can click when I purchase a gift for her that would make the code from her country's store? The app is available in her country's store.

I know now why I got rid of my apple ipad, if apple would be less anal and make things easy to use and allow you to use whats rightfully yours it might be a product for the future. Right, frustration over.
I used to have an Ipad, but I couldn't live with the restrictions and the apple big brother approach, so I very quickly sold it. In the time that I did have it, someone bought me a £50 iTunes card. A couple of years later and I still have half the value in credits on the Itune store. My youngest daughter, despite my warnings had acquired an iphone of her sister and I want to move MMMMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYY credits (money) from my account to hers, but apple appear to be withholding MY money and wont let me do it. If this was a bank we would have them in court for it.
I have tried using the credits to purchase an item to gift her, but even this doesn't work. Does any one know how to do this ??

You can't use your account's balance to gift items, nor an amount, to another account - it can only be used to buy content for your account. You can either use the money to buy content on your account and let her use your account, or try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will refund your balance : iTunes Gift balances - Apple Support

Only thing is,I don't appear to be able to sign out.So if I slide off the pod.Re start and press mail I don't need to sign in....is this correct or have I missed something?
