Sending a non-blank form

What I need this product to do is allow me to paste a script into a multi-line text field, and instructions in another multi-line text field, then share it with a dozen or so people. They will then read the script into an mp3, attach that mp3 and upload it to me.
What I'm encountering now is a complete inability to fill out my end of the form. I've designed a form, but there seems to be no way for me to paste in my end of the information. All I can find is a space to design a new form.
Do all forms have to go out fully blank?

Are you concerned about the content not being formatted correctly in the body of the form?

Note that if you were to deliver the text in a pre-filled field you would receive the script in each submission in the response table, in addition to the attachment. If you could provide the text as a Formatted Text item, the text wouldn't be included in each submission.

This is a non-secure form.

I get that message every time I use a website for my Real Estate business. It is a very secure site and is only accessible to Realtors. It logs me out every 3 hours so I have to click Ok to this prompt many times a day. I don't have to do this but once with Chrome, but for various functional reasons, I want to stay with Safari. Is there a way to disable that prompt?
FYI, I have already done the following;
Warn when visiting a fraudulent website is unchecked
I have removed all extensions or disabled them

Safari > Preferences > Security > Ask before sending a non-secure form...
You can suppress the warning by unchecking that box. But it's not a good idea. If you get that warning, don't submit private information in the web form.

All the fill-in PDF forms I've used are read/only. Meaning that whatever you fill in does not get stored and saved back with the file.
As Linc suggests, you will be creating a new PDF, that will not have fillable fields but that will contain whatever you filled in.

Security pane in preferences is missing cookies, databases and non-secure forms options? Also Privacy Pane is totally blank?

I wanted to delete some cookies. But when I went to the Security Pane in Safari Preferences, it does not show any of the following categories/settings option: nothing for cookes (nothing for accept or show or anything else about cookies), nothing for databases, and nothing for non-secure forms. No controls for these are showing in the Security pane. Also, the Privacy Pane in Safari preferenes is totally blank--I can't set anything on that. Where are these controls/settings options, why can't I see them? I am using OSX 10.6.8 and Safari Version 5.1.9, I have a Mac Book Pro 3.06 Intel. Thanks.

Uninstall SIMBL as follows. Back up all data before making any changes.
Triple-click the line below to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard (command-C):

I have the same problem. Sought to insert a pdf into Apple Mail after editing a form pdf and only the blank form shows. I didn't use Preview to generate the form, just Acrobat. And, the filled in form inserts perfectly into an email when I use Outlook for Mac. Problem only with Apple Mail.

Problems with saving and sending info in PDF form

Hi,
I'm trying to make a PDF form in Indesign CS5, exporting it to PDF, opening in Acrobat 9 Pro, and get the form to be able to send the info I type in the fields.
So far I've had no problems making the form, exporting it, opening it in Acrobat 9 Pro, getting Acrobat 9 Pro to recognize the fields and save the form.
However, I'd opened the form and filled it out and attached it to an email, and when I got the email, the form was blank.
How do I get the form to save the data so it can be emailed?

(Acrobat Pro and Pro Extended) Choose Advanced > Extend Features In Adobe Reader.
I have somehow solved the problem. I tried using the above direction and it seems to have fixed the problem. I don't seem to get the message about not being able to save anymore and can send a completed PDF form that retains the information typed into the form.

Why does the Safari message "This is a non-secure form" pop everytime I go into yahoo mail? If I don't press the send option my whole computer freezes.

From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

Blank form fields with data?

I've created a form in Acrobat and sent it to a few people to test. When they send it back to me, some people say even though they saved their data, when it's previewed in their browser (email) it looks blank. When I receive forms sent back to me, the form appears blank, but when I click in the field, the answer appears.
How can I fix the form so that no one is confused by a blank form after they fill it out? I'm not concerned about receiving the blank forms since there is data, I'm more concerned that a customer will see a blank form after they've filled it out and get frustrated.
BTW, we've tried opening the forms returned to us in MAC and PC, same problem.

The problem occurs when the Preview application on a Mac is used to fill-in the forms. It is well known the Preview corrupts PDFs in a number of ways and it should be absolutely avoided when using PDF forms. The damage it does to a document cannot be repaired, but you can open the corrupted form in Acrobat, export the form data (to an FDF or XFDF file), and import it back into a blank form. Then inform your users to use Adobe Reader and not Preview.
Also, some PDF viewers (e.g., iOS's built-in viewer) have no support for PDF forms at all, so forms will appear blank when opened. The fix for this is to have them open the form in Adobe Reader. This is assuming the form was not corrupted with Preview.

Using Adobe to fill in. I think it may be my browser for e-mail will not support the forms. If I convert to Word or Exel, they send just fine.

You are correct, the On-Error trigger is a Forms trigger. However, if your Form is going to display the error generated by the database stored procedure or trigger - you might not see the database error in your Form unless you check the DBMS_ERROR_CODE in the On-Error trigger and manually display the Error Code and associated Text. I've see this happen with a co-worker. The Form she was working on was based on a table with an Before-Insert trigger. Because she was not explicitely handling the error from the Before-Insert trigger in the Forms On-Error trigger, her Form appeared to halt for no reason at all. Once she added code to the On-Error trigger in the Form to handle the DBMS_ERROR_CODE, she discovered the trigger was producing an error and was able to show the error to the user in the On-Error trigger.
I understand the desire to keep as much as possbile in the database, but with that comes some extra coding in your Forms to handle this. This extra coding could easily be placed in a Forms Library, attached to a Form and called in the On-Error trigger. Your code could look like this:

The answer is you don't because Forms already gets the database error code and database message through the Forms DBMS_ERROR_CODE and DBMS_ERROR_TEXT functions. Stop Blank Form Spam

I need to make sure I understand something.
Bots take forms and fill all the fields with nonsense and submit them. In addition, they can work to use your domain to send emails in a spoof format. Bots do not pay attention to java nor css.
Honey pots catch those types of attacks (random information in forms).
If the above is true, then do bots send blank forms, also?

Problem with blank forms being returned by users:

I used Acrobat 9 Pro for Mac to create fillable form for a nonprofit. The form is downloaded from the nonprofit's website and is to be returned by email. The forms are coming back blank. Any clues as to why this is happening? Have tested on Safari as well as Internet Explorer and have been unable to duplicate the error.

This is typically caused by people using the Preview application on a Mac to fill-in and save the form. Preview corrupts PDF forms (and regular PDF) in a number of ways and should be avoided.
What you can do with the returned form is export the form data using Acrobat, and then import it back into a blank, non-corrupted form. In Acrobat 9 you do this by selecting: Forms > Manage Form Data > Export Data
I'd suggest using FDF as the format.
