  • When sending a pdf as an attachment I cannot scroll through the pdf.  Nor can I look at Outlook 2010

    Frequently I create a pdf and then I want to send it.  After clicking send and the email pops up I compose the message.  However, as I compose it, I have a question requiring me to look at the pdf.  However, I can't page through the document because it's locked by Outlook.  Also, I can't look at other emails while this message is open.
    A workaroud is to save the document in Outlook.  Then I can scroll through the pdf or view other emails but I have to go to the drafts folder and reopen the email to edit it.
    What I'd really like to see is a way to set the default when sending a pdf in Outlook to have it always send a copy.  That way the pdf isn't locked and I don't have to go throught this workaround.  I encounter this every day.  Isn't there some solution to this?

  • Sending Filled PDF Form ONLINE without promting outlook/windowsmail etc

    This question has been placed serveral times. But no one seemed to have THE anwers/script for it.
    now we all know that a filled pdf form, can be send as an attachment when you click on the submit button. It prompts, your computer mail software and place the e-mail adress and subject on the right place with the filed pdf file attached. That's cool.
    And also we know you can save the pdf form on your local disk. Login in your gmail, hotmail or yahoo and attach the saved pdf form file and send it there.
    But what I want is something more simpler. The above mention is tricky when someone dont have mail client. I just want the complete filled pdf form, send online (through mailserver?). just the send button. without prompting outlook/windowsmail. Just the submit and send the whole damn thing to the right address.
    So what's the script to do so?

    I have the same question, did you have any luck  finding an answer/script ? It seems like this process its much more complicated than it should be.

  • Send a pdf... not through outlook etc

    Hello... I was wondering if some here would know this... All I want to do is send the PDF form to email... I figure that I'd have to use a php script to relay the PDF as mailto: would try to open a program which they may not have. It needs to be the PDF not the XML or anything else as the receiver can't understand that... I thought this would be simple but I can't find anything really in Google searches... to much there to sift through lol.. anyways... I think It's go like this...
    -Person opens pdf form and fills it out
    -They click HTTP Submit button
    -PDF file received by php
    -Php then emails PDF file to email receiver...
    or
    - the person fills out a PDF form
    - PDF form is sent to PHP script as post
    - PHP sends out an email with the PDF attached which is the form filled out form the base pdf?...
    (meaning that the pdf form acts as a template?)
    Sounds simple... I don't want anything else.. just the PDF relayed to the php script in stead of emailed through a mail client like outlook...
    thanks for the help

    To bypass client-side email software the submit button should point to a server-side script such as PHP or ASP.net.

  • When I send a pdf from my pc to ipad the pdf is already open when I scroll down the message so I am unable to save to the ibooks, any suggestions

    When I send a pdf as an attachment from my windows pc to the ipad via outlook mail there are occasions when the pdf is open on the email and not as an attachment which means I cannot store this on ibooks, any suggestions.

    If the document is already open then, if you touch and hold in the body of the document, you will be given a set of options. One of these is to "Open in iBooks".

  • Why did Acrobat Pro X slow down attaching pdfs in Outlook 2003?

    I've unfortunately joined the club of slooooow attaching pdfs to Outlook 2003 after installing Acrobat Pro X.
    I can send any attachment other than a pdf to Outlook 2003 and it sends instantly/normally. Since installing Acrobat Pro X 10.1.0 there's an instant lag as soon as I click the pdf to attach it. Outlook appears to freeze for several minutes and during this time I can work in other programs. Then all of a sudden, everything is normal and I can send the email, with pdf attached like normal.
    I'm running Windows XP, Service pack 3 and everything else in the 5.5 suite is working fine.
    There was some discussion in the Reader forum regarding the subject but I wasn't sure if the fixes described would apply to the full Acrobat program.

    Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
    Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
    When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.

  • Will someone please help me set-up Acrobat to send a PDF via webmail?  Acrobat returns a message "Server Connection Error .... Port 143 unavailable"

    Will someone please help me set-up Acrobat to send a PDF via webmail?  Acrobat returns a message "Server Connection Error .... Port 143 unavailable"

    Are you using a Microsoft or Apache web server? If so, you can submit to a server-side script, which will bypass web mail and client-side email software such as OUTLOOK.

  • Email Submission receipt of Send Now PDF file

    I am using Adobe Send. When I send a PDF to a customer how can I get a email back that shows me that they have opened the file. I would get that when using Adobe SendNow.

    Hello Bob
       Yes it Works!! Thank You so much for your help! Now if I could ask you to address getting me a receipt when my customers open the files when sent from Outlook 2013. It might not seem that important but it really is. See I communicate a lot with my customers back and forth using emails and I have to make many revisions at times, it is so necessary to send and track files that I send my customers and be able to see and respond to emails my customers send to me. It eliminates the possibility of not knowing if they have received what I have sent to them. I also need to be able to send them to their phone! It works on the IPad but you can only view the PDF’s on the phone it does not give you access to the tab to download the PDFs to your phone like we use to be able to do.
    Sorry I’m so much trouble,
    Thank You,
    Gerald Landis

  • How can I send a .pdf attachement using maildemo_sql.txt

    Hi
    I have created a PL/SQL package using the following link.
    Could you plese tell me how can I send a .pdf as an attachement using the follwing package?
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tech/pl_sql/htdocs/maildemo_sql.txt
    regards

    When using the "MailDemo" package, in order to send email attachements, the document you attach MUST reside on the Database Server or UTL_SMTP or UTL_MAIL Oracle packages won't be able to find the file. I recommend you define a location (directory) on the database server file system where all email attachements must be stored and reference this location using an Oracle Directory object. You will need to modify the BEGIN_ATTACHMENT procedure to add the file location referenced by the Oracle Directory object to the filename parameter. For example:
    /* Create the Oracle DIRECTORY */
    CREATE OR REPLACE DIRECTORY FILE_ATTACHMENTS as '/temp/attachments/';
    /* Modification to MAILDEMO */
      PROCEDURE begin_attachment(conn         IN OUT NOCOPY utl_smtp.connection,
                        mime_type    IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT 'text/plain',
                        inline       IN BOOLEAN  DEFAULT TRUE,
                        filename     IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL,
                        transfer_enc IN VARCHAR2 DEFAULT NULL) IS
      BEGIN
        write_boundary(conn);
        write_mime_header(conn, 'Content-Type', mime_type);
        IF (filename IS NOT NULL) THEN
           IF (inline) THEN
           write_mime_header(conn, 'Content-Disposition',
             /* 'inline; filename="'||BFILENAME('filename||'"'); */ /* Line BEFORE */
               'inline; filename="'||BFILENAME('FILE_ATTACHMENTS',filename)||'"'); /* Line AFTER */
           ELSE
           write_mime_header(conn, 'Content-Disposition',
             /* 'attachment; filename="'||filename||'"'); */  /* Line BEFORE */
               'attachment; filename="'||BFILENAME('FILE_ATTACHMENTS',filename)||'"');  /* Line AFTER */
           END IF;
        END IF;
        IF (transfer_enc IS NOT NULL) THEN
          write_mime_header(conn, 'Content-Transfer-Encoding', transfer_enc);
        END IF;
        utl_smtp.write_data(conn, utl_tcp.CRLF);
      END;If you have to send the file attachment from the User's workstation, then I suggest you either add the ability to FTP a file from a users workstation to the Database Server; use a javabean to send email directly from the client workstation or use WebUtil to open an Outlook message and attach the file using Outlook. I personally prefer using the database package to send email because you have a central point that all processes use and that makes the process easier to maintain. If you opt to try the Java Bean or WebUtil options, here are some great links that work really well also.
    Java Option:
    Send email with html body and local file attachments
    WebUtil Option:
    Sending Email via Outlook via forms
    Re: Sending email from Oracle Forms with attachments
    I cannot confirm the WebUtil options work as I have not tested these myself, however, I have tested the Java option and it works fine.
    Hope this helps,
    Craig B-)

  • How can I send a PDF via PHP?

    I'm trying to get a PDF form that has a name an email address field and submit to send the page, or all pages to the email address but can't get it to email without using Outlook etc. Is PHP the way?

    Hi All!
    I need to know how I am able to send a PDF file via mail, without it becoming an attached file. This means when the receiver opens the mail, he automatically sees the PDF without first having to read the normal mail text and scroll down to open the attached PDF file. Just like a spam newsletter
    Not possible with Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat.

  • Unable to send out emails via outlook express since 06/29/2010

    Task '[email protected]" - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'        This is a copy/paste of error message from Office Outlook  2003
    Our household has been unable to "send" outgoing emails since 06/29/2010.  This includes a wireless laptop and a PC. We both lost the ability to send emails same day.  We changed NOTHING and did not share emails with each other that would have corrupted our system. During this time I have had 2 Verizon techs dance around in the PC doing all the same things I did as well as what  the automated assistant did.  The last tech said the Outlook Express 6.0 was corrupted, and to unistall it and then reinstall;  this time 2 hours later, I think he just gave up).  That did not work either.  I tried using the Outlook Office and still got an error message for outging. Everything is set up as it was when it was working until 06/29/2010.  I was told that there was a new server being installed and that things wold be working by 07/02/2010... I have tried taking down the firewall, turning off virus protection (McAfee), changing from outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net to just outgoing.verizon.net, checking boxes, unchecked boxes. SMPT is set to 587.  We get incoming fine.  I hate using the "Verizon email site" as too much monkey motion to get to mail, but that's what we have been doing.  I even tried setting up a GMail account, again got mail still could not send.  Any ideas?

    Thank you for your response!  I even tried sending an email via dos prompt  with Telnet, got past "HELO", but when trying to get a  "RCPT TO"  (using outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net)  I got an "authorization required" response and then was dropped.  I have been passed around without a solution. I am about ready to change ISP, but really hate to as most of the time (years now) this has been a decent ISP. If Verizon is having a problem just say so, I can handle it, honesty would be nice, refreshing and not wasting so much of my time as well as the techs!

    OUtlook was already set as the mail client for FF, and is my operating system (XP)'s default mail programme. therefore problem not solved at all. what I get whenever I follow a link in a webpage to send an e-mail is a little pop up window asking me to sign in to gmail or open an account. any other suggestions?
