Sending Acknowledgement In seeburger adapters

hello all,
In seeburger adapter coniguration, we are using classifier, BIC and splitter modules in Module processor.
How do we send the acknowledgement back to the party who is sending the EDI.
In my Case, my partner 'A' is sending me EDI and i want to send them the Acknowledgement.
I am using VAN and the partner is sending me EDI 810 and i want to send them acknowledgement messages.
what are the configurations that needs to be done to send the acknowlegement back to the partner.
i think the acknowledgements are created in BIC module.

Hi,
In order to back the ack to the sender....you need to configure the scenario...like same as for other scenarios...
use the adapter same as the one used in receiving the EDI data...
i.e if you use AS2 sender adapter for receiving the edi data then use AS2 receiver adapter for sending the same to the sender..

Mapping and Error handling in Seeburger Adapters ?

1. In B2B integration part of PI.Whats the way of doing mapping in XI mapping editor and error handling in the mapping ?
2. Do you think SEEBURGER BIC mapping designer is must for developing maps ? cant we develop same maps in XI mapping editor?

Whats the way of doing mapping using seeburger adapters
The standard mappings are part of Seeburger Suite and if any additional mapping has to be accommodated, then custom mapping could be developed in Seeburger BIC Mapper tool. This has to deployed on adapter engine then. The other mapping is the normal XI mapping (message, java, xsl) which could be performed based on business logic.
error handling in the mapping ?
The easiest way is to raise Alert based on the errors in mapping.

Handling EDIFACT Files in File adapter without going for Seeburger adapters

Hi Guys,
Is it possible to convert the EDIFACT files into XML using File content conversion?
We got some requirement where we need to exchange EDIFACT files like DESADV and ORDERS with our partner. I know we can handle these EDI formats using Seeburger adapters like BIC,AS2.
I'm just wondering is it possible to handle these files using FCC in File adapter or Is it recommended to go for Seeburger?

How to send acknowledgement in HTTP_AAE single stack 7.31

Hi
My scenario is HTTPs to ECC and we are also sending alert mails to support system using RequestResponseBean in sender HTTP_AAE channel.
Can anyone provide provide some info on how to send acknowledgement back to 3party(using https) ?
If normally it is not possible, can we do this using customized adapter modules?

The sender needs to request the acknowledgement. Except the receiver interface is an IDoc, then you just need to setup a corresponding configuration to send back an ALEAUD IDoc.

Sending Acknowledgements in File to IDoc scenario

Hi,
I have configured File to IDoc scenario successfully. I would like to send acknowledgements whenever any error occurs. But, unfortunately I could not able to find IDX_NOALE report which is required for acknowledgement configuration. To my knowledge, this report is necessary.
Can anybody suggest workaround for this?

Mapping and Monitoring in B2B(Seeburger adapters) scenarios

Hi All,
   I would like to go for B2B integration using SEEBURGER adapters in place.In that case where should i do the EDI mapping ? Can it be done using Message mapping in XI or SEEBUERGER BIC is mandatory for mapping ? Right now i have only SEEBURGER adapters in place but no SEEBURGER BIC.How should i procced ?
How monitoring of messages will be done in XI with SEEBUERGER ADAPTERS ?

Seeburger Adapters and EHP1 Installtion

We are running PI 7.10 with Seeburger Adapter 2.1.3 and we are planning to install EHP1.
I cannot find any information how to deal with Seeburger adapter components during EHP1 installation.
I am wondering if anybody went through this process already.

We have done an EhP1 upgrade with SeeBurger adapters. First you need to check if the existing SeeBurger adapter version fits well with the PI 7.11. This you can check with SeeBurger. If not, you can ask them to provide for a solution for the same. So basically, you will have to coordinate with the SeeBurger team for getting the right versions. After your upgrade to PI 7.11, you just have to follow the steps as mentioned in the SeeBurger Installtion guide that your SeeBurger consultant refers.

How can I send acknowledgement from B2B

I want send acknowledgement from B2B. I don't want to sue As2 protocol. Can I send acknowledgement from B2B through file or JMS protocol? Is is possible in B2B?

AS2 is an exchange protocol which mandates the acknowledgement as part of it's specification, whereas File or JMS are transport protocols and hence no exchange level acks can be exchanged for these. Though both File and JMS have transport level acks and on the basis of transport level ack only, B2B considers whether a message has been sent successfully or not. If you need extra layer of ack then you may always use a functional ack.

not really clear to me as general answers.
From where can I generate /get an acknowledgement to send it back to a IDOC sender?
Ok, I understand: IDOC -> XI -> File is able to send back a system acknowledgement from file adapter
Same for IDOC -> XI -> IDOC (as usual)
Is any system or applic. acknowledgement from any adapter suitable? (Or where are restrictions?)
Do I have to add then in NOALE prg. entry for the acknowledgement-sender ?

But this guide explains Acknowledgements with R/3 -> XI -> R/3!
My question is:
I have a scenario
R/3 -> IDOC -> XI -> whatever -> anysystem
I want to send an acknowledgement back to the R/3!
Which are the restrictions? Where do I generate the ackn. if the receiver syst is not able to generate it?
If the receiver can send something back, how move that to
Reason for the question:
I have here a nice Tutor where an IDOC to file scenario provides the IDOC sender with an ack.. But all what is to do is adding the Ackn.entry in SXMB_ADM and adding a IDOC receiver for the ALEAUD in Int.Directory!
How does that work? And is this working for all receiver adapters?

Testing the sender AS2 and Split997 adapters in sap xi

We configured a sender Split997 adapter communication channel in sap xi. Now we want to test if the communication is working fine in converting the EDIfact message to XML. How can we test this.

Wih out the AS2 server access.Is there a way i trigger the sender split9997 adapter for testing.
You may simply use the file adapter with Split997 and BIC module. It will paste the required output at your required file system.
For EDIFACT/X12 to EDIFACT-xml/X12-xml or vice versa, BIC Mapper Designer is the tool available with Seeburger Business Suite. This is used to create the sda file which could be deployed on adapter engine of XI. Now when you use bic as module, then the conversion will take place according to the mapping defined in the tool.

i would like to know the difference between Seeburger's VAN and AS2 adapter.

Now a days companys are facing difficulties in exchanging datas with their vendors/customers/partners, due to the high volume and security issue.
To solve all these EDI came into picture, data transfer using EDI is very fast.EDI uses two methods to transfer datas
1)VAN
2)point to point
VAN is very fast, at high level it acts as a mail server.
it splits the messages and send the datas to different rcvrs.
But the problem with VAN is its very costly.
In point to Point u have to configure a diret dial-in connection to each receiver.So it is time cosuming although cost effective.And also issue is there with availibily and reliablility.
To solve the problem associated with the above two method of EDI, a new method is invented called AS1(Apllicability Statement 1) and AS2(Apllicability Statement 2) developed by EDIINT group(EDI over internet).
It uses SMIME protocol to transfer data
compare to VAN and Point to point of EDI, AS2 hav following advantages
1)No charges for VAN
2)No charges for connecting log distance
3)always available

Sending Acknowledgements for IDOCs

I have reviewed the document "How To... Handle Acknowledgements for IDOC" and "Configuration Tips for a Business Service/Integration Process to Send Back ALE Audit IDOC". These don't seem to work for the situation I have.
We have two R3 systems sending IDOCs to XI, one located in the US and one in Germany. The above documentation (from what I can tell) expects you to only have one R3 system. For example, when setting up the Adapter-Specific Identifiers, there is only one spot to enter in the Logical System or R3 System ID.
Is there a way to set up IDOC Acknowledgements if you have more than one R3 system that can be sending IDOCs?

for each R/3 create one business system service. Depending of the control data in your idoc (you can examine the sender R/3 system in the IDOc header data) create different receiving systems.
