Sending and setting up photo shop 3.0 for another computer?

I dont know if anyone could help me with this? My father has NO KNOWLEDGE OF COMPUTERS! He has several photos that he needs organized and I also have several of his photos on my computer that I already have organized in photoshop starter edition 3.0.
Is there a way to set up a link where all he has to do is press one button to download the photoshop 3.0 program and the to where I could send him what I already have organized for him?
any help with this or ideas would be most wonderfully appreciated!!! Thank you so much

No these computers are not networked together at all. He lives in another state then me. Yes both of these computers are usually on. I know there is some way with windows to actually be able to get on his computer; however I also know it would involve him having to change some things and part of the problem is that he is sooo computer illiterate, that he cant even go to the adobe site to download the program! (I love him but AHHHH! ha ha)
I was thinking that I might be able to log on to Adobe, with his email account, and register Photo shop then just send him a one button link to download? But I am not sure if #1 that would work and #2 If there was anyway to send the pictures I already have of his to him organized in photoshop
(( I have yet to find any way to view photoshop photos in the organized and tagged way it shows with in the program - Like the calender view ???))
So I don't know if this clears anything up and if you - Or anyone else reading this - could help me with this deli-ma any further?? I HOPE SO!!?? Thank you so much??!

Nothing. It's nothing to do with PSE; this is a limitation of Photos, as is the loss of being able to use an external editor without exporting copies of your images.

You cannot "update" from what you have to any of the applications you mention. It will have to be a straight purchase or subscription at full price.
Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.
Lightroom is all about volume, and very light editing.

You don't need a specific app. As soon you have saved your document (-top left arrow) you can find the share options - see my attached screenshot

You can get the Classroom in a Book from http://www.adobepress.com (a susidy of Pearson). This will take you through pretty much everything, from start to finish.
If you are looking to edit movies though, you will need Premiere Elements (the sister program to Photoshop Elements, which is used for editing images).

To answer some basic questions posted to aid people in helping me. These are
I believe it is version 11 of iphoto as i tried to update but it says it has the latest update and Mac is 2 weeks old from new.
OS is Lion.
I have just tried to look everywhere on the Mac to see where the photos might be.

No you will not lose any data. However a pop up will come up telling you if you want to sync with this computer, and that if you do, that it will erase the data. Just click "No" and you can still update your phone. I've done this a few times.

If you registered with Adobe, your authorization number will be in your account on Adobe's website. Then you can use their downloads page and download CS5 and install it. A search on their main page will get you to the download page.

Photo Shop Elements 9 for Mac

I have PSE 8 (and 4 & 6) on my iMac. I have downloaded the trial version of PSE 9 for Mac to see if there is enough improvement to warrant the purchase. I am using an external HD exclusively dedicated to photos. There are over 6000 photos that were tagged and dated using various Windows versions of PSE, and I am adding more daily. I use both Mac and Windows versions of PSE 8, since my Dell laptop uses Vista. I have attempted to use the existing catalog from the external HD in the trial version of PSE 9 for Mac, but without success. I used the "custom" button in Organizer Catalog Manager, browsed to the photo files, (the location shows on the left), but the "open" button remains grayed out. What should I do to have PSE 9 for Mac recognize the existing catalog?
I will also upgrade the Windows version to PSE 9. Will I have a similar problem getting it to recognize the existing catalog?

I want to share it between the Mac and my Dell laptop, which I take with me
when traveling. That way I can load photos from the camera and tag them
while my memory is fresh, and then edit and print them from the Mac, which
has a very nice large screen. I use an external USB HD for file storage so
it plugs easily into both machines. In the past I kept an older Windows
version of PSE on the Mac using VM Ware since there was no Organizer in the
Mac versions of PSE. I would use the Windows version of Organizer to
identify the files I wanted and then open them in PSE 8 for Mac to edit.
Hopefully, with Organizer included in PSE 9 for Mac I can save those extra
steps, as well as free up space on my internal HD.

I recently signed up for the free 30 day trail of PS. After about a week or so my computer crashed and I lost everything on it. Can I cancel that trial and start it over now that I have another computer?

My computer crashed after about a week or so into the free 30 day trail of Photo Shop CC. (Also I had downloaded the free 30 day trial of Adobe Audition on same computer.) Can I cancel both of those and start over now that I have another computer?

Transfering photos incl. keywords&ratings to another computer?

I'm sitting here at my PowerMac keywording and rating hundreds of photos of our two new and unbelievably sweet cats.
When I will be finished with that tedious task my girlfriend wants to make a nice little movie in iMovie at her PowerBook.
She wants to select the best or some special photos and obviously needs the ratings and keywords I gave to the images on my computer.
So: how can I transfer those (not the whole iPhoto 6 Library) photos from my PowerMac's built-in hard disk to the PowerBook's built-in hard disk not loosing the ratings and keywords?
I do have several external hard disks but my iPhoto collection should stay on my PowerMac's hard disk. I don't want to work on an external drive (I just want to use them as a backup medium).
Any advice?

The only way to transfer photos between libraries and retain the keywords, ratings, etc. would be to use the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager. You'd have to first connect the two computers together so her iPhoto and iPLM applications could access both libraries. Then she can launch her iPhoto with the Option key depressed and, when asked, navigate to your library and open it. She can then assemble the photos she wants to use in a suitably named album.
Next have her launch iPLM and get both libraries in it's library pane on the left. After that, she can copy the one album from your library to her library like this (displayed is copying a roll but it works the same for albums).

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Deactivating and reactivating? Adobe photoshop elements 12 for new computer

I am considering buying a new computer, therefore upgrading from windows 7 to window 8.1 and thense to windows 10 when it is released.
I have read that I need to deactivate and reactivate? my Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 once I get my new computer because I can only have one on a computer at one time.
I am however, unsure how to do this.I am also unsure how I would go about getting my Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 onto my new computer, daft as that might sound, especially as I will be using windows 8, which I don't have as much knowledge of using as 7.

it doesn't matter when you deactivate and then uninstall because it's only on one computer now.
to install on your new computer, download the installation files (if you don't have them) and activate using your serial number.
