Sending Apple Feedback- (A Guide)

Hello everyone,
I haven't posted here before but considered it necessary based on the recently released iWeb '08.
It seems that there are serious issues with this piece of software, most of which have been documented throughout this forum.

I have already sent feedback and I am asking that you do the same (Positive & Negative). Please be pithy and succinct in your feedback (3 to 4 Sentences) and spread the word to anyone else you know.
Three of the main issues I have with iWeb '08 are (Yours may differ):
It's inability to include HTML code without using the HTML widget, which creates an iFrame.(Give us the option of “Code View”.)
It's not possible to publish to a personal domain without purchasing a .mac membership.
It does not support true Multi-site use. (It still publishes everything in the sites pane.)
I am welcoming critiques if any of my points are off base, and I know that this list is not all-encompassing.
Please, please send feedback to Apple, as they are a great company and they do have a history of listening to their faithful user base.

Apple changes their Support area from time to time, and it seems that they are departmentalizing their products' feedback. You essentially already had the correct feedback page for iWeb!
I am a .Mac Member and have been a year or two since Apple first created .Mac.
So using "Web Widgets" won't work for you at all?

Apple does listen to its members' input for any info they need to change.

Drives get dirty, HD2600. Apple regard dirty drives as "defective" drives, and replace them if they are warranty or Applecare.
If you reckon Apple have problems with SuperDrives take a look at the number of hits if you Google up "Thinkpad DVD drive problems" !
There is nothing new or unusual about DVD drives failing to function properly for a variety of reasons. It is simply not a particularly reliable medium.
Slot loading drives are a bit more prone to issues than tray loaders, largely because they are harder to clean, but it is an issue right across the computer industry.

Feedback to Apple can be made via the Safari Menu>Report Bugs to Apple selection, or here. Apple doesn't respond to either; rather, uses the information for internal purposes.
Your alternative, if in the US and machine is under warranty including telephone support, would be to call Apple Care. 800-275-2273

Send your feedback to Apple if you want Cover Flow sorted by Album

I know this is a hot topic, but I really would prefer to have Cover Flow sorted per Album rather than per Artist. I don't buy the same album for each artist so I think Cover Flow should be per Album, it just makes sense.
As there's no real way around it and if you agree send your feedback to Apple so at least they know it's something people want and maybe they'll work on a way to fix it for us.

I would support an option to sort by album or artist but if it were only 1 way, i'd like it to be by artist. Assuming the fix the compilation problem, I want the coverflow to work like going to a 'record' store so that i can easily go artist by artist and each artists albums are sorted together. compilations would either be grouped together at the end or under various artists ( but each album would appear once). I know my collection way better by artist than i do by album name.

I Phone Multi Messaging; $100 Credit and Apple Feedback

Gentlemen:
I cannot believe that I cannot receive multimedia messages on the I phone. How can you imply that it is "state of the art" but incapable of receiving pictures? When is the Software going to be Added???
Also - For all of us that feel duped because we shelled out $599 for a product that was reduced to $399 in 3 months - when do we receive an e-mail or letter or something telling us that we have this supposed refund/credit of $100 with an explanation on how to use it or how to receive it - sounds like Poor Business Practice on Apple's part!
Finally - why is it impossible to leave "feedback for Apple" and get a reply - I have scoured the website for an hour and decided you do not want to hear from your users or provide a response to their questions except for this forum.

MMS is a feature that has been lacking from day one and that has been discussed throughout the forums and professional tech reviews. Pictures can be sent and receive via email. Nobody knows if this feature is going to be included. All you can do is send a feedback to Apple via: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
There is no email or letter that Apple sent out in regards to the store credit. Steve Jobs has posted an open letter on Apple's front page, a couple of days since the company decided to lower the price. A week after, it was replaced with a link to show you instructions on how to receive your credit. If you go to apple.com, the link is clearly visible on the left bottom corner of the page. It's impossible to leave a feedback and get a reply because the company gets tons of emails. It's like asking for a famous person to respond to all the fanmail that he or she receives. If there is a pressing issue that you need resolved, then call: 800-SOS-APPL and speak to a Apple Tech Support representative.

You can create an alias @icloud.com email address within your current account that will receive email in your current iCloud inbox (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm6b1a490a). (@me.com addresses are no longer available as new addresses.) Just be aware that you cannot use an alias address later to create a new iCloud account or move it to a different account.
Also, even if you created a new iCloud account with a new ID, your existing purchases would not be lost. They are permanently tied to the original ID you used to purchase them. You can also continue to use the existing ID for the iTunes store; it does not need to be the same as the ID you use for iCloud.

Apple feedback not working in safari

I cannot submit Apple Feedback in Safari but I can in Firefox. The problem is that there is no Comments box.
Does anyone else have this problem? And/or know how to solve it?
I'm using safari 5.1 on OS X 10.6.8

If not, empty the Safari cache, restart your Mac. Try again.

Giving Apple Feedback on poor quality printing of iPhoto Books

I just filled out the feedback form to let Apple know I am not happy with quality of new printing on iPhoto Books. As I know I am not alone, and many people on this board have posted their frustration and disappointment, please post and give Apple feedback so we can hopefully get better books.

Apple's Style Guides

I want to consult Apple's Style Guide for the definition of things like Pane; Panel; Dropdown List; Menu Bar; choose or select a menu item; etc., so that in writing I can use the correct term.
where can I find that please (I have searched).

I've never seen such a style guide, but if there is one, it would probably be part of the developer libraries, perhaps in the Human Interface Guidelines documentation:

Been using aperture for a little while now and I'm loving it but I've got a few ideas I'd like to pass on:
- a "contact sheet" exporter would be really great. Specify resolution, number of rows and columns and format and you get 1 or more images as a contact sheet. I'm doing this with screen grabs at the moment.
- it would be nice to have variable zoom in the viewer. I want to zoom in a bit, not all the way, sometimes.
- it would be nice to have a two-click version of the patch tool like in PS and others. alt-click is source, next click is destination. Right now I have to keep moving things manually after Aperture's placed the source circle for me.
- an SDK for writing my own adjustment plugins would be awesome
- being able to specify the straight line by clicking/dragging in the viewer would make the rotate tool much better. eg. drag out a line that you want to be straight and Aperture figures out the rest
- it would be great to be able to specify multiple external applications. I use different ones depending on the situation.
- it would be great to be able to have multiple aperture libraries open at the same time
- in addition to hilighting the hot areas, highlighting excessively dark areas would be good too.
- being able to change the adjustments HUD to a horizontal congfiguration
- the ability to restrict a particular adjustment to a region of the image (eg a spline shape/painted mask). LightZone is a good example of this.

What do you mean, why do you have to move the source
circle?
The Patch tool takes a little bit of the image from one place(the source) and copies it to another place (the destination). By default when you use the patch tool it puts the source an destination quite far apart from each other (looks like a barbell). I always have to move the source circle around (that's the nature of the tool) so it would be nice to be able to position it in (more or less) the right place right from the start.
