Sending BLOB as mail attachment
Hello,
I'm using the demo_mail package to send PDF documents stored in the database as BLOB. The problem is that the procedure attach_base64(...) uses a RAW parameter instead of BLOB to encode the attachment and the maximum size for a RAW parameter in PL/SQL is 32767 bytes. My PDF document is bigger than 32767 bytes and i get an error...
I've read the samples in : http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/tech/pl_sql/htdocs/Utl_Smtp_Sample.html. but they don't show how to attach a BLOB stored in the database.
Could you tell me if it's possible to modify the attach_base64(...) procedure in order to use a BLOB ?? Could you give me some adivce about that ??

Toad replyed try zip file (compress) I did and still got the same messageMany mail servers cap their message sending or receiving at 4MB. If you are sending your own work that you want distributed by someone else, check with your internet provider if they can temporarily raise that restriction and the recipient's mail server can temporarily raise those restrictions. Better would be for both of you to be able to access a webhosting site to share the material and use some FTP programs to send the file to each other. If it is an MPEG-3 of a commercial CD's music, we can't help you as such distribution is illegal.

Sending PO in mail attachment with pdf format

We are sending PO to vendor in a pdf attachment. The configuration is in place and as soon as the PO(ME22N) is saved the pdf mail is sent to vendor external mail address.
The requirement however is to add some text to this mail body ( in addition to the existing PDF attachment ).
The NACE config is using SAPFM06P program with entry_neu form and a custom sap script.
can somebody help as where is this mail functionality added in this standard program so that I may try to customize the same for the above requirement.
All I can see is 2 FM used in this ENTRY_NEU Form. Of which I guess ME_PRINT_PO is sending the mail ( I may be wrong here ) but where ?
I will be thankful for any kind of hint to help solve this issue.In general you will have to do the following:
1) Set NAST-NACHA = 8 (Special function)
2) Before OPEN_FORM (maybe in In enhancement spot) if NAST-NACHA = 8, then set itcpo-tdgetotf = 'X' (to get OTF back from CLOSE_FORM!)
3) During CLOSE_FORM, if NAST-NACHA = '8', get OTF output from TABLES parameter OTFDATA
4) Convert this OTF output to PDF using following sample code:

I suggest you make yourself very familiar with the SAP code that does this automatically. Once you understand the processing sequence SAP uses, it is much easier to add your customization and insert your enhancements. To debug it and step through the code, but a breakpoint in ENTRY_NEU, and process a PO. If you're sending your messages using a scheduled job, you'll hit the breakpoint when you process the message using RSNAST00. That's how I did it. I can tell you what I did to meet my requirements. You can change to meet your needs. It required a custom program, to use instead if ENTRY_NEU, and 3 enhancements to SAP code using the Enhancement Framework. You need to know how to use the framework. 1. configure your output type ZNE2 to to run a new program ZMRP_OUTCTRL, to run form routine ENTRY_ZNE2, to create form Z_PURCHASE_ORDER. 2. In ZMRP_OUTCTRL, call standard function modules, ME_READ_PO_FOR_PRINT and ME_PRINT_PO. 3. Drill down into ME_PRINT_PO to PREPARE_FORMULAR function module. Create new enhancement, and if NAST-KSCHL = ZNE2, then lookup the recipient's email address. Pass it as parameter to ADDR_GET_NEXT_COMM_TYPE. 4. Still in ME_PRINT_PO, PREPARE_FORMULAR, add another enhancement to set the value of itcpo-getotf to u2018Xu2019, to enable CLOSE_FORM to capture OTF data for PDF. Only set this OTF flag when the output is being run by RSNAST00, not when a user is simply previewing the printout. Sy-ucomm will be blank when RSNAST00 is running. 5. In ME_PRINT_PO, drill down to ENDE, and add an enhancement to check for NAST-KSCHL = ZNE2, and if so, call standard SAP function modules to END_FORM, START_FORM, WRITE_FORM, and END_FORM. Send the auto mail Attachment using client machine outlook application

we are using the following EBS & Database
Database Server
RDBMS : 11.2.0.3.0
Oracle Applications : 12.1.2
i would like to send the file as a attachment using client machine outlook application.
the(.TXT) file has generated by the concurrent program and stored in the oracle server in specific oracle DB directory path. now my requirement is after generating the file then same file has to send mail to specific mail id using client machine outlook application.can anybody suggest me how to do this
(i tried to send mail using UTL_SMTP.DATA but this standard procedure is allowing the file attachment size up to KB only.)

A user fills out a form, on the action page the values are
inserted into a database. Now I want to send a pdf of the values
that was just submitted as a mail attachment to someone everytime
someone fills out the form, automated of course. I just do not know
how to proceed with creating the mail attachment.

Problem in Sending PDF as mail attachment

I am calling ADOBE form and the PDF data coming from Fucntion module converting using CONVERT_XSTRING_TO_BINARY
and the binary data I am putting in Contents_hex table parameters of SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1
But while openign the mail attachemnet, its saying error in opening the file, it is damaged and all.
So whats actually the problem will be?can you enable a verbose trace for ADS and reproduce the issue

Server -> services -> Log Configurator.
Then select 'To Advanced mode' and 'Locations' tab.
Root Location -> com -> sap -> engine -> services -> webservices -> server -> runtime -> com -> adobe_adobeDocumentServices -> AdobeDocumentServices
Please change this node to 'ALL', and save the configuration.
Modify the log severity for the following location also.
Root Location -> com -> adobe
Change severity to 'All', press 'Copy severity to subtree' and save configuration.
All ADS trace will be written in DefaultTrace of server node.
/usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance>/j2ee/cluster/serverX/log/defaultTrace*.trc
After finishing the test, don't forget to change the log level back to 'default'. -
Sending XI-Content as Mail Attachement with specific Filename

I want to send the Message-Content as a mail attachment with a specific Filename (e.g. 2005-08-31.csv). The content is a CSV File, not a XML
In the scenario an IDOC is sent to the XI mapped in a CSV-File (via Java-Mapping) and should be send as a Mail Attachment.
Is this possible and how?

You can influence the filename with the ModuleTransformBean. You need at least SP9 for this feature.
In the Mail Receiver Channel got to tab "Module"
As first module (before the mail module) enter:
localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean as Local Enterprise Bean with any key
For this module key you can use in the module configuration following entries:
Transform.ContentDisposition inline|attachment;filename=<filename>
Transform.ContentDescription <Filename>
Transform.ContentType <MimeType>/<SubType>;name="<filename>"
If you want to send an attachment, use:
Transform.ContentDisposition attachment;filename="MyFile.csv"
Transform.ContentDescription MyFile
Transform.ContentType text/plain;name="MyFile.csv"
If you use the Mail Package, you can set the file name that way:

What extension are you using? Try 'BIN' Extension and remove the size parameter.

I would like to send an E-Mail with a small photo (not as an attachment) to someone who is reluctant to open attachments. Can I do this and how??

tchIf you insert an image into the body, it will still be 'attached', even though it won't be listed as an attachment in the usual way. Another option is to upload the photo to your personal storage space such as OneDrive or Google Drive, and then email the link to the image. The image can then be displayed in a web browser. If you don't have a storage space, there are plenty of free image-hosting services.

Everytime I send a message from my yahoo account (which is also my appleID account) a small icon picture (which is a pic of my ex-boyfriend) is attached to the e-mail heading. I'm able to notice I want to remove this from happening. The picture is displayed on my iphone when I open up the mail.
Steps I take:
1. I write an e-mail message from my yahoo account to my other .edu account on a desktop computer.
2. I send the e-mail message from my yahoo account to my other .edu account on a desktop computer.
3. When I open up my .edu account on my iPHONE, there is a new message from my yahoo account.
4. Upon opening the e-mail message on my iPHONE, in the title heading it has the title of the email along with a small (upper right) picture on the iPHONE.
Another thing that I tested was the same thing on my iPAD for text messages:
1. I set up my text messages to my yahoo account (which is also my apple ID account)
2. I send a text message to a person and the same small icon picture is shown on the ipad with each message that is sent
3. The person receiving the text message does not get the small icon picture; however, on the ipad it shows this picture (WHICH NEEDS TO BE REMOVED)
I need to determine how this icon picture is associated with both my yahoo and apple ID account. The funny thing is that I don't have this picture on any of my devices (mac, iphone, ipad). It has been completely removed from all of my technology sources. I'm thinking it has to be something to do with the origniation of my apple ID.
PLEASE HELP ME....this picture is hurting my professionalism when I send outgoing messages.

How to run 2 reports to send 1 PDF e-mail attachment instead of 2 e-mails.
I used 9i Reports to create 2 reports in a PDF format. I run these reports from a 9i form using the web.show_document command. XML is used to send the 2 e-mails with the reports.
Is there a way I can combine the running of the reports to make one PDF to created 1 e-mail attachment or run the reports at the same time and attach 2 PDF files to 1 e-mail.
I have no problems running 1 report and sending 1 e-mail attacment!
