Sending call to 3rd party VRU from ICM Script

Integrating ICM Script with 3rd party VRU using GED-125 interface. I am having trouble to send the call from Cisco CM to 3rd party VRU. Trying Send to VRU node but it is not clear how to pass the destination for 3rd party VRU.
Any feedback would be helpful.

Move this to contact center forum to get better response.

  • Sending call to 3rd party VRU using Send-to-VRU node

Integrating ICM Script with 3rd party VRU using GED-125 interface and having trouble to send the call (transfer) from Cisco CallManager to 3rd party VRU. Send-to-VRU node  - it is not clear how to pass the destination for 3rd party VRU.

The main part I am confused about is on PG there are currently two PIMs - CUCM PIM and VRU PIM. When creating Translation Route, should it be done on CUCM PIM or on VRU PIM? Also, it looks like for Translation Route, I need to create a Service, then a Trunk Group, then the label.
It sounds to me that Translation Route must be created on CUCM PIM that is where I want to transfer the call to.
And VRU PIM seems to be related exclusively to Service Control Interface (GED-125) that is already working for me with no problems.
Update: this is the printout from rtr log - what could be the reason the transfer times out? Also, my concern is VRUID=5007, this is actually the configuration of another instance of VRU PG. So my main question is should I have one PG with two PIMs - CUCM and VRU or should I have two PGs where one PG has CUCM PIM and another PG has VRU PIM?

  • Calling 3rd party softwar from ABAP

    hi all,
I would like to know is it possible, if yes, how to perform a call to launch external 3rd party software from ABAP (example, half way in process of a BDC session) and pass back the information from 3rd party software back to ABAP.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Sending query to third party portal from TREX Search Engine

    HI Experts,
we need to implement normal search option in SAP portal.
when we search any thing from portal ,
It has to search in EP & KM and also it has to search
windows sharepoint portal and bring the data back to SAP Portal.
For this purpose one solution is
    1) implementing  enterpise search,
but my client dont want to go for enterprise search(federated search).
    2) The other way
Sending query to third party portal from TREX Search Engine
In this way what i want is ,
how TREX can send query to third party portal SEARCH ENGINE
(in my case share point portal search ENGINE).
There is no problem to search in EP & KM becuse it is default.
To search in Micro soft Share point portal,
TREX should pass the query to share point portal search ENGINE.
Is there any API TO send a query to third party portal like sharepoint?
I searched in SDN and Other sites also but i am not getting exactly what I require.
If any one has ideas or implemented already please guide me.
My client require searching option like this,
we need to provide drop down box in SAP Portal with 3 options like
    1) search in Share point portal
    2) search in SAP EP & KM
    3) Search in both the portals
please provide any code samples in case if you have.
please help me , its urgent
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Bala

    Hi Bala,
please check the information on the KM IMS (Index Management Service) in KMC's developer guide. A connection to a 3rd party search is done from KM, then calling TREX and XY in parallel, not serially from TREX.
Here's a paper describing this for an older KM release:

  • UCCE: Forceful Release an Agent Call from ICM Script, Can I?

Hi, let me explain the requirement first. Customer wants to make their IVR free of cost but they want to start billing only when the call is landed to skill group/agent. So far I can think to make it possible by triggering their billing server by ODBC gateway through Application Gateway process. But also the customer wants to release that particular call when that pre-paid caller is out of charge. They might trigger one of my application or can modify any particular database field and put the calling# into there and my task would be release that call.
I have thought an idea to develop a TCL script run into the voice gateways and release the call from there by searching the particular call with calling#, but I do not know TCL scripting or any idea how to develope TCL , can't I release that call from ICM script? Do I have any control on calls from ICM when the call is landed and connected to agent?
Any help would be hightly appreciated.

That's a nasty piece of work. Just imagine how jacked off you would be if you are the customer, you have enough in your bank account to get to an agent who is then starting to help you, and in the middle of your conversation you are simply cut off!
I don't think it's possible - although CVP would be your best shot because of the switch leg.
But not only that, I don't think it is desirable. If you check the customer's balance before going to an agent, that should be sufficient. Anything else is just terrible customer service.

    Geoff

  • Query: Selective Transferring of old data (3rd party app) from old iPhone

    Hello all.
I am collecting my new iPhone 3GS tomorrow
(and) I want only to add some, and not all the 3rd party apps (from App Store) that was with my old iPhone, in particular, Notes+
I know if before I perform a software restore or upgrade, iTunes will perform a back up of the phone, and if I insert a new iPhone, and choose the same name, e.g. "howwow iPhone", it will restore all the apps and data into the new phone.
But if I treat this new 3GS phone as a new phone, e.g. I name it "My 3GS iPhone" and add the Notes+ app, will all the data inside be copied into the new phone?
My main 2 aims are to only add some apps I need (like Notes+) to the new phone and still able to keep the data/notes in it, without re-adding manually.
    Thanks and cheers

There is no way to selectively restore certain data from the backup to the new iPhone - it's all or none. If you set it up as a new phone, none of the old data will be transferred. Alternatively, you could set it up from the backup, then delete all of the unwanted stuff.

  • Droid X receives and sends calls but neither party can hear

My Droid X would receive and send calls but nether party can hear each other, however I can send dial tones on the line.  The receiving side can not send tones.  Resetting to factory is dramatic.  What can I do to fix this.  Thanks!

Sounds like the software could be corrupt, how is hard reset dramatic?
It is either hardware or software, you won't know until you eliminate one.

  • Migrating from ICM scripts to CVP-VXML Apps

    Good day all.
    Currently we are running on:
    ICM 7.2
    CVP 4.1
    CUCM 6.
    Call flow: using ICM-Script Editor
Applications: Using apps deployed on CVP-VXML server. they are called in ICM scripts.
Well my dilemma is this. We have planned to move all call flows from ICM-Scripts to Call Studio based apps/Scripts.
Now I have studied Call studio and VXML flows, and know that CallStudio/VXML scripts can be run directly from Gateway->ICM->CVP/VXML or in the traditional way called in ICM script.
If we deploy a full Standalone model with ICM lookup (no ICM scripts involved) then how is call queing for SkillGroups/agent transfers handled? do call studio based scripts have the capability, or will we have to include ICM scripts for this?
Secondly, when migrating from ICM scripts to Standalone+ICm lookup model, the current gateway configurations (ie apps, Dial plan and Dial plan to script matching for EACH dialed number) will have to be reconfigured? So as the Dialled number will directly translate to the IVR menu on VXML script?
    Need expert inputs on this.
    Regards,
    AAK.

    Hi Asif,
When you use the CVP as Standalone model, its purely for SelfService, Queuing is not possible even if you use Standalone with ICM Lookup. There is no concept of SkillGroups using CVP as Standalone
After the self service treatment is done, you can either transfer the call to CUCM or TDMACD
If you need queuing, you have to go for Comprehensive model.
If you want to go for a StandAlone Model, You will need to configure the Application Name, VxmlServer everything in the Gateway. Have a look at the config guide for CVP Standalone section

  • 3rd party apps from someone other then Apple

Does anyone now if you can get 3rd party apps without jail braking and without using Apples application store. I found a website that offers apps that I really want and was very disappointed to see none of the in the Apps store and dont know why nobody made them or offered them there. For $24.99 I can get all these apps that I was really looking forward to seeing in the apps store but werent:
NES System : Nintendo with all the games
Customization : Were I can custom every aspect of the I-Phone from I-cons to backgrounds
Screen shot : A app where I can take a picture of anything that my I-Phone is viewing at that time like from a game or a website ETC.
Video Recorder : I cant believe there was no video recorder in the apples web app release it is just something every phone should have
MMS : Picture messaging, I mean I dont know how many times I recieve a picture message and have to wait till I get home to go on my computer to go to a website just to see them. How long it takes also with normal broadband just to see a simple picture.........This is a must have app
Ringtone: Now all you have to do is select a song from your music library and put it to you contacts that easy no cutting or editing it down to size, no extra programs to make them with and no money to spend to make them
Also much more that I dont feel like describing like:
    Instant Messenger
    YouTube Downloader
    Books
    VNC
    <post edited by host>

Wow don't try to send a MMS to someones cell phone from the e-mail option this was a nightmare. I tried it to see if it would work and I received a message that the attempt didn't succeed so it kept trying and trying automatically. Then I get a phone call from the person I sent it to telling me it work but for me to quit sending it. I said I only sent it once then he said I have like 15 already so I check out my phone and it is really warm I looked at it and the battery went from fully full to a little less then half empty. So I am like what the heck so I go into my e-mail account and I see there is an e-mail demon meaning there was an attempt to send a e-mail but it didn't succeed. Normally when this happens it will make another try just to make sure it wasn't a service error well apparently my cell phone is continuing to retry to send the message so I have the phone trying my e-mail account trying while the person who the message is being sent to is receiving everyone........So I had to delete every message being sent on my e-mail account, I had to delete my E-mail account on my phone, and I had to shut it off for 30 minutes to see if this works it not I don't know what to do and my nightmare continues as well for the person who's phone keeps blowing up with the MMS message and I am wasting all of his text on his plan.......
    Thanks for the bad advice

  • Calling a third-party library from JNI-enabled C++ code

    Hi everyone,
I have some existing C++ application code that extracts data from a file in a special format (HDF5). This code uses a static library (third party) to decode the file format. I would like to wrap this application code in a JNI wrapper so that I can call the code from Java. So I have a situation like this:
Java front end -> application code (C++) -> static library (C++)
I have compiled JNI headers and modified the application code accordingly. I created a shared library by bundling the application code together with the static library (using gcc 3.2.2 on Red Hat Linux 9):
    g++ -shared hdf5_jni.cc -o libhdf5_jni.so -I<include path> -L<static library path> -lhdf5
(the <static library path> contains the static library libhdf5.a). This creates a shared library which contains the application code and the relevant bits of the static library.
When I call the Java front end, the shared library (libhdf5_jni.so) is correctly found and accessed. However, I get an UnsatisfiedLinkError which I don't understand:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: <blah>/lib/libhdf5_jni.so: <blah>/lib/libhdf5_jni.so: undefined symbol: _Z4formPKcz
    at java.lang.ClassLoader$NativeLibrary.load(Native Method)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary0(ClassLoader.java:1560)
    at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary(ClassLoader.java:1485)
    ... etc
I have no idea what the undefined symbol "_Z4formPKcz" represents. It's not part of the application code or the static library.
Here's some more info that might help diagnosis:
    1) The problem seems to be due to the approach of having a three-step process (Java code calling bespoke shared library which includes unmodified 3rd-party code). I get an identical error (including the mysterious "_Z4formPKcz" symbol) when trying to do something similar with a different 3rd-party static library.
    2) When I simply have Java code calling C++ code which I have written myself (no calls to static library methods), I have no problems, i.e. there doesn't seem to be a problem with the way I set up the JNI wrappers or the application code, or in the way I create the shared library.
    3) When I simply have C++ code calling the static libraries (i.e. no Java wrapper) I have no problems, i.e. there doesn't seem to be a problem with the application code or the static libraries.
    4) The static libraries were compiled from source using the same compiler that I used to compile the application code.
    5) I'm using J2SDK 1.4.2 on Red Hat Linux 9, although I've tried other versions of the SDK and had the same problem.
I've done a lot of web searches on the "_Z4formPKcz" symbol and have turned up absolutely nothing (zero Google hits!).
Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks, Jon

    Thanks chrisswhite,
I should have mentioned that I tried this too and it didn't solve the problem. You're right though, I should be compiling with -fPIC anyway.

  • Distribute different versions of data to 3rd party systems from SAP ERP2004

    Dear fellow SDN users
I am working in a large retail company where we are about to implement a new store system. The new system should be implemented in phases, where each phase covers one or multiple countries. Until the implementation is complete, our old store system should still be supported.
My problem is that we also need to support multiple versions of the systems, which is something we have never done before. Do any of you guys have any experience in how to differentiate versions of the data being sent from SAP to 3rd party systems? The scenario today is:
    SAP ECC 6.0 -> SAP PI 7.0 -> STORE SYSTEM1
And the scenario we would like in the future:
    SAP ECC 6.0 -> SAP PI 7.0 -> STORE SYSTEM1/STORE SYSTEM2
(Where it is possible to send several versions of data: e.g. ARTMAS ver. 1 to SYSTEM1 and ARTMAS ver. 2 to SYSTEM1 and ARTMAS ver. 1 to SYSTEM2)
The first thing that came to my mind was to differentiate on IDOC extension and then program different routines per extension when sending the idocs, but I guess there should be an easier way.
    Any idea is greatly appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Chris

    Hi Chris
I guess it depends on how the information you want to send to various partner systems differs, but have you considered using reduction?
I am at a client currently where we need to send similar information to a number of systems - for example Customer information using the DEBMAS message type, is going to three seperate systems.
To do this we defined 3 reduced messages - Tcode BD53.  This not only reduces the load placed on PI/whatever middleware system is used by eliminating unnecessary data from each message variant, but allows the message to be treated differently by PI, using different data mappings, distribution models etc.
    Hope this helps

  • Problems connecting 3rd party webservices from workerrole

    Hello,
I have the problem that since 2015.01.28 ~22:00, my service deployed as a workerrole in an Azure instance cannot reach 3rd party webservices. This was a sudden issue as it worked for half a year without any changes.
The 3rd party webservices work fine, I can reach them from my development environment without any trouble, the provider of these webservices also could assure me that it works fine for others.
The call that fails is a simple WebClient call (with credentials) to a URL in order to read a (tiny) file and take followup actions.
The call fails with the following error:
System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond
after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond <ip:port>
The question: have there been any changes recently, either in the Azure services environment or networking that could explain this?
If i connect remotely to the instance and attempt to make the calls manually via IE, they succeed, but very slowly.
I have deployed the service to another datacenter as a test, so right now I have one running in East US and Western Europe, but both face the same issues. The service is running on Azure SDK 2.1, the instance is running on windows server 2012R2.
The service works fine when I run it on my development environment via compute emulator. No connection issues.
Any help is welcome, thanks ahead.

Looks like a timeout issue. Try to increase timeout of your call to see if you get any success. If OK, then for sure it is timeout problem. Then check if it is DNS problem. Use IP address to call instead of hostname. You mention it is slow in IE. Where
is IE located? You can also try to call using IP address instead of hostname to see if it speeds up. Is it slow only the first call?

  • Possible to send files to 3rd party program?

    I'm trying to add a "Send to Flickr Uploadr" context menu to bridge, but I've hit a snag in getting the files to the Flickr Uploader program. <br /><br />I've tried using openWith(), but i don't think that it does what I want it to do. But the documentation on openWith() is a bit sparse. If openWith() is indeed the wrong method to use, what is correct way, or is this even possible? <br /><br />Thanks.<br /><br />here's what i've got so far...<br /><br />// path to flickr uploader<br />flickrPath = "/C/Program Files/Flickr Uploadr/Flickr Uploadr.exe";<br /><br />// only have 1 instance of each<br />function checkEl(w){<br />>     var menuEl = MenuElement.find(w);<br />>     if (menuEl != null){<br />>          MenuElement.remove(w);<br />>     }<br />}<br /><br />// send selected files to flickr uploader<br />function send2Flickr(f){<br />>     fName = app.document;<br />>     for (i=0; i<fName.selections.length; i++){<br />>          files = new Thumbnail(File(fName.selections[i].path));<br />>          files.openWith(flickrPath);<br />>     }<br />}<br /><br />// check to see if the menu items exist, and remove and recreate if they do<br />checkEl('send2Flickr');<br /><br />// right click context menu<br />var cntCommand = new MenuElement("command", "Send to Flickr Uploadr", "at the end of Thumbnail", "send2Flickr");<br />cntCommand.onSelect = function (f){<br />>     send2Flickr();<br />}

Not all 3rd party software will respond to the commands Bridge sends it when you do openWith. Off the top of my head I'm not sure if openWith ends up sending a BridgeTalk message or some flavor or operating system or message or event (or both), but if you can get the 3rd Party application to open the file using the Bridge UI's File > Open With menu item, then I'd expect scripting's openWith to work as well.
One workaround you can try is the command line. If the third-party software has a command line interface, then you can try using app.system() to issue the commands. It's possible (on both Mac and Windows), for example, to run the DNG Converter from Bridge this way, and this is how the ExportToJPEG's "Send To Flickr Uploadr-Mac.jsx" sample script runs some AppleScript that tells the Mac Flickr Uploadr to open files. I believe that the Windows Flickr Uploadr has a command line interface, so you might try something like this...
// Make a file Object using the known path to the uploadr
    var command = "\"" + uploadr.fsName + "\" \"" + fileToUpload.fsName + "\"";
    app.system( command );
Note that you usually have to quote paths to files for this to work all the time. Also note that app.system() will block your script until the command returns. Finally, when I've used app.system() on windows in the past, sometimes a command that seems to work just fine from the windows Console doesn't seem to do anything via app.system(). In those cases I've found that witting out the command to a temporary .bat file and then sending the path to the .bat file to app.system() does work.
I know that I've tried before to run Flickr Uploadr windows this way from Bridge, but it was months ago, and I don't recall all the details. My recollection is that it basically worked, but the user experience was a bit clunky because of the modal behavior and because a Console window appears on the screen as the commands run, and I had to quit the Uploadr manually after upload to move on. If you are a clever windows batch file scripter (I'm not) maybe you can workaround those issues.

  • Interfacing to 3rd Party tools from BW

I realize Open Hub is the SAP solution to interfacing BW data to 3rd Party tools.
However does anyone see a problem in general with the approach of developing custom web services on the BW box that would be called by a third party tool and in turn return Master Data and ODS objects?
    Wardell

    Hi
You can also use direct SQL reads to the BA DB (for ODS only), Also ABAP code.
If you want to manipulate the data (transactional and Master data) you can use BAPI functionality.
In our company we used BAPI to manipulate SD data from a third party tool (Web based) but not on BW.
