Sending calls to a second queue?

It seems like i could do this a couple different ways, just trying to find a best practice...
2 support desks (support desk Chicago and support desk Denver)
Support desk Denver is already up and running on it's own script and CSQ
Support desk Chicago is new, it will have it's own CSQ and script (same UCCX server).  However, we want to make sure that in the event of issues at Chicago, calls would be redirected to Denver (no agents logged in, wait times in excess of 10min, etc).
My Chicago script currently has all those contigencies pointing to a "goto:denver_redirect"
The question is what to do from that label (denver_redirect) onward...
Do i just create a second queue in Chicago's script that mirrors the same queue environment as Denver's?  Is there anything to be concerned about having two scripts(Chicago and Denver) pump calls into a single CSQ (Denver)?
Or do i just do a call redirect to Denver's Unified CM Trigger from the Chicago script?
Thanks!

Given that we usually serve more than one master when designing call-flows (Call Routing, Reporting, Workforce Management), I would at least consider the impact it would have on call-type and SLA reporting. To name a couple of things off the top of my best practice list:
1. Consider primary and secondary skills (this will allow for load-balancing as well)
2. Having a seperate script will allow more flexibility in sovling for business requirements around call-routing
3. The more CSQ's, the more reporting

  • Send calls from overflow queue to Normal queue and prioritize call

I have 2 queues in my script: queue1(normal queue) queue2(overflow queue)
I am sending calls to the queue2 if the call threshold reaches 3 calls or 3 minutes in the queue1.
While the call is in the queue2, queue 2 checks queue 1 to see if there are any Ready agents in the queue1.
If it sees Ready agents in the queue1 send the call back to the queue1, when this call is in the queue1,
I want this call to be 1st position in the first queue even though if there are 10-15 people waiting in the queue1.
What is the best way to script this scenario?
I am testing this in the lab but still not successful.
    Any help would appreciated.

    Hi,

  • CVP 9 - Post Call Survey on Internal Queue Transfers

    Hi guys,
I'm trying to get Post Call Survey in CVP 9 working for internally transferred calls. PCS works fine for external calls but it isn't working for internal calls and external calls which have come in via one queue and then need to get transferred to a second queue which needs to enable post call survey for all calls that are transferred internally to the second queue.
The CVP error logs show "B2BUA is not configured with a Post Call Survey dialed number for [9999999125] .  Please add the Post Call Survey dialed number for this in-bound DN: [9999999125] . [id:5010]"
This dialed number it seems to be pulling is actually one of the translation route DNs and not the actual DN of the CTI Route Point which is being used internally. How are we meant to get PCS to work on the route point DN? I have configured the internal DN in OAMP to link to the survey DN but I obviously don't want to put all the translation route DNs into the PCS DN mapping as I don't want all internal calls to hit that same PCS DN only the ones I want.
As mentioned this is only affecting internal calls, external calls we have working fine with PCS as the DN which gets presented to CVP is the correct actual original DN of the call which maps to the DN table in OAMP and triggers the PCS without any issues.
Anyone experienced this or gotten PCS working on an internal CUCM Route Point?
    Cheers,
    Nathan

    Hi Nathan,
Were you able to resolve this issue? I am faced with the same problem. I was able to get this working by forwarding the call out to my testing toll free number via an ICM label that then comes back into CVP with a new DN. This is working but isn't an ideal solution. Any help would be appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Jason K

  • Unified Mobility, no audio on Send call to Mobile Phone

I'm using UCM 9.1 with Unified Mobility (xfer to alternate number) with good success if I follow a typical call flow:
Inbound call -> Ext -> Rings deskphone x seconds -> Rings mobile phone -> Answer mobile phone -> hangup -> Resume call on desk phone.
But if I pick up a call on my desk phone, and use the Mobility button to xfer a call to my mobile phone I get no audio:
Inbound call -> Ext -> Pickup desk phone -> Mobility soft button, 'Send call to Mobile Phone' -> Answer mobile phone, no audio -> Hang up mobile phone -> Resume call on desk phone (two-way audio).
Device wise the call flow is:
ITSP SIP trunk -> CUBE -> CUCM -> 7965 IP Phone.
Recently I reconfigured CUCM to use the CUBE for any MTP resources instead of the software option and I think I may have missed something.
    CUBE config:

Not sure where to start troubleshooting this problem, any help is appreciated.
    Steve

Thanks for the help gents. I couldn't get to this until we're out of office hours on the weekend.
Interestingly, I have no mid-call option in my dial-peers. This is a 2951 running 15.2(4)M2.
I double checked the MRGL, my phone is associated with it.
Codec is G711 on ITSP side, and on phones - I'm not sure I fully understand the use cases for MTP, this is something I need to research more.
I've included two ccsip message debugs, the first one is the existing issue of no audio (in either direction).
The second I've changed the midcall-signaling passthru option, dropping the media-change bit and we get audio in both directions for mobility except we use Unity call handlers for IVR functionality, and now when an inbound caller is forwarded to an extension we get no audio - obviously this is a game stopper.
In Unity I have the port group configured as SCCP - Maybe I should be using SIP instead?
    No Audio:
    voice service voip
    sip
      midcall-signaling passthru media-change
      early-offer forced
      no call service stop
      registration passthrough

  • Unable to send message in Service bus queue through Webrole which are connected to Azure VPN

I have created two Azure VPN and two cloud services(deployed webrole) and one service bus queue
First Azure VPN and cloud service(deployed webrole) is created in same affinity group.
Second Azure VPN and cloud service is created in West US
Service bus queue is also created in West US.
When I send message in service bus queue from first cloud service (same affinity group) then message sends successfuly
but when I send message in same service bus queue from second service(West US- Webrole) then unable to send message and not throwing any exception.
    I don't know, whats happening?
Its very urgent..... client is waiting.
    Please help me... Thanks.

Thanks for reply. Got the cause but still looking for solution.
Actually we have created Azure VPN using Express route and
all are configured for Private Peering.
Try to access service bus queue from Web role which is attached to Express route network.
I am unable to access service bus queue and send message...because cloud services deployed in virtual networks are supported over the private peering path.
There are 3 types: public, private and default route (forced tunneling).
How  can be configured for all 3 which will force all traffic through the tunnel except for Azure public service?
Do you have any idea on this scenario?
    Thanks.

  • Timing of NetStream.send() calls

    Hello,
we use NetStream.send() calls to remote control clients
subscribed to a live stream. We observed that the live video &
audio stream can get out of sync with the remote calls sent via
NetStream.send(). In bad cases the remote calls where executed 4
seconds before the audio/video signal was shown.
My idea is that NetStream.send() events are created when the
stream "arrives" at the Flash Player, while the Audio/Video Data
might be buffered. Can anybody confirm this implementation detail
    of FMS 3.0?
Any help on this is greatly appreaciated,
    Juergen

Thanks for reporting. I can reproduce the bug in house. We will investigate.

  • I have two email accounts that are set up on the same iPad.  I cannot seem to see, read or send email from the second account

I just set up a second email account on the same iPad but cannot seem to see, read or send email from the second account.

I'm using Windows 8 (not 8.1) and whatever the latest Thunderbird version is. They're both IMAP accounts. I was using Windows Live, but I couldn't get that to work, so I switched to TB. It works JUST fine for the one account, but not the other! They're identical except for the "handle". Both off my local ISP, set them up at the same time.

  • How do I restrict my daughters iPhone 4S to only receive/send calls or send text to specific people in her contacts.

How can I restrict my iPhone 4S to only receive or send calls or send receive texts from specific contacts and not all contacts in the phone.

Contact the carrier and see if they offer such a service.
This is not a feature of the iPhone and no App could restrict calls/sms.

  • SAP adapter giving the merged result set (First RFC call data + Second RFC call data) for second RFC call

I have a WCF Adapter service to call a SAP RFC. When I call the RFC first time, it gives me correct no of result set but when I call this RFC second time immediately after first call, it gives me merged result set (First Result set + Second Result Set).
e.g. We have a RFC which receives vendor number and blank object of result set as parameter and gives back the list of purchase orders as Response in object of result set for that vendor.
Suppose, we have a vendor "a" and vendor "b". For vendor "a" there are 5 purchase orders and for vendor "b", we have 4 purchase orders in SAP. When I call the WCF adapter service for this RFC for vendor "a",
it gives me 5 purchase orders. Immediately after first call, when I call WCF service for vendor "b", it gives me 9 (5+4) purchase order records which is wrong.
In brief, one RFC call is affected by its previous call.
For each new WCF request, a new object of result set is created, connection is opened, rfc is executed and connection is closed.
Can anybody have any idea on this?
    Thanks.
    Thanks, Nishant Gupta

  • Too few values in the second queue in function useOneAsMany

Hi - I am having problems with useOneAsMany while doing sales transactions.
    The simplified Source Mapping is
    POSLog   0..1
    ......Transaction unbounded
    ...........SequenceNumber  1..1
    ...........RetailTransaction   unbounded
    ................LineItem               unbounded
    .....................Sale                       0..1
    ........................Field                         1
    The Target Mapping is...
    SalesOrderLine_JDBC     unbounded         Sale(Context:POSLog)
    ........Insert                        1
    ...........access                  1
    ...............OLGUI                0..1    (SequenceNumber goes here)
...............OLOVP              0..1     (sale specific price goes here)
Only Sales are written to the Line file and the POSLogs that are being sent are often multi-transactional.
I have tried to resolve this problem using graphical variables (SAP PI 7.1 Mapping Enhancements Series: Using Graphical Variable) that helped save the ItemID but incorrectly in the case of multi-transactional POSLogs.
The UseOneAsMany function seemed to be the answer (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ef/df564b6aa24fc9ab0d685460747de5/content.htm) but when I try and use it I get an exception - I get this exception no matter how I set the context for the Sale node for the 2nd parameter...
+ Exception:com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf7.FunctionException: Too few values in the second queue in function useOneAsMany. The number of values for all contexts must be the same as the number of values for the third queue in class com.sap.aii.mappingtool.flib7 +.
Is it possible to do this in Graphical mapping or will I have to fall back on XSLT???

  • Incoming Phone Call DND (Do Not Disturb) or ability to send call to voicema

Does anyone know a good way to put a DND (do not disturb) on incoming phone calls? The idea is to send calls directly to voice mail while still leaving the phone on to receive email & text messages. While at work or in meetings, it would be nice to not be bothered by calls especially from specific people. Ideally it would be really nice to one or all of the following:
-Function to send all calls to voice mail without ringing
-An option when an incoming call is coming in to send the person to voicemail with the choice of a prerecorded message such as "In a meeting" or "At work" etc.
-Send specific people to voice mail without ringing, possibly with a prechosen message.

The only option for the iPhone not ringing when a call is received and the same when a text message is received while in a meeting is by turning the silent switch on located above the volume buttons.

  • Username and password for SOAP sender call

    Hello,
does anyone know how to provide the username and password to a SOAP sender call, e.g. XI receives the ws via soap and needs to know which userid and password to check. When you use a SOAP client they use basic authentication which sends the request first to XI and XI send a request back for password. This would work for an online app but not for ws from machine to machine. I read some docu about query strings but no where it has an example what to put either on the request URL, the adapter or the SOAP envelope. SOAP 1.1 seems to have left that open and IBM has an example using SOAP Header which did not work with XI.
    Thanks
    Stefan

    Hi,
do you use the javax.xml.rpc.Call class? Because then
you can supply username and password to the call via
the addParameter method. I think I did that with XI 3.0
and it worked. If you need more information please consult
    the javax.xml.rpc.Call javadoc.
    Best regards,

  • How to calculate how many calls are there in Queue

    Hi All,
I have a requirement of calculating how many calls are there in queue at a particular moment, as the client wants to drop all the calls if there are 5 calls waiting in the queue.
    I am using ICM 8.0
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks

    Hi David,
I am trying to crete a IF condition with CallType.callsqnow property, however callsqnow is not coming up in the list for calltype properties.
But under Skillgroup's property list, there is a pooperty "callsqueuednow".  I am trying with this property, let's see if it works.
However could you please advice why i am not seeing callsqnow property under call type?
    What i am doing is
under if formula, select "call type" -> select name of the call type -> list of properties
I am using ICM version 8.0.3.0
