Sending card to another country

My Apple ID is registered in the UK store and I would like to send a card to my friend in Germany.
Unfortunately, once I prepared the card and proceeded to check out – I can't change the destination country. When I try to edit the address it allows me to edit street and other info, but the country is fixed.
I can always order it to be shiped to me and then send it to Germany myself, but I would imagine that it should be doable straight from iPhoto... Any ideas?

I want to send a gift to the son of a friend in Denmark (I live in Italy). Is there anyway that this can be done?
I can only purchase vouchers usable on the Italian store and this is totally useless to a Danish teenager!
Is it really possible that I cannot purchase a gift voucher redeemable in another country?

I live in Greece and except from a greek billing account I also have a french billing account with a credit card because I lived in France for some years. Now, I want to buy, for different purposes, OS X Mountain Lion with my french credit card. Can I do sush a thing if I leave in Greece? Will I have to change to the French Mac App Store to buy it and if yes, if one day I want to reinstall it or install it on another Mac will I have to to do it from the French Mac App Store? The issue is that your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. For Christmas I was given an app/itunes gift card by a friend, the card was purchased in italy. Now I have just tried to enter the code and guess what? it tells me i cannot redeem it cos my store is Uk not Italy. If i try to change it to Italy it tells me I have to register with an italian bank account and address. How is this possible that i cant use an apple card on the apple store??? is there anyway to change this??? i have to say this is truly ridiculous...

OK you have 2 options lets say for example you live in the UK and the iTunes card is from the USA.
option 1) go to eBay and sell the card to someone in the USA.
option 2) use the itunes card.
if option 2 you will need to use the following steps
1) Move to the USA <------- This is just so you are following Apples rules ;-)
2) you will need a USA iTunes account, now that you live there so make a new Apple ID. To do this go to https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/wa/createAppleId?loca lang=en_US and the 1st thing you are going to want to do is go to the bottom of the page and make sure that next to "Choose Your Country or Regin" you have the US flag (or what ever flag matches the place you just moved to to use the card) if it doesnt then click on it and change it. Put in all info to setup the account, (if for some reason you cant remember the address of the place you just moved into then use google maps). if you dont get an option to make an iCloud email address then you can make a Gmail account and use that as your new Apple ID.
3) you have now moved and made a new iTunes account you can now use your gift card. You will have access to the content in your new country and it will be at their prices.
4) if you want content from both accounts, I assume you already have content purchased from your old account then login to your iTunes/iPhone/iPad with 1 account and download what you own then logout and login with your second account.

If you're trying to purchase from the US store, you need to be physically located in the US, & if using a credit card, the credit card must have a verified billing address located in the US. You could use an iTunes gift card, but the card must have originated in the US, & you must still be located in the US.
There is no workaround.

My daughter has been given an Apple gift cert bought in Ireland but her ID is UK store based, it states that she needs a new ID to use the Ireland store front. Which she moved to but it asked her to set up a new ID. If she has two ID's surely she will have two sets of music in two different locations?

- You can only use the iTunes/App store in the country you are located. An iTunes gift card can only be redeemed in the same country's store in which the card was purchased.
- If she is in Ireland then shed can redeem the card into her existing account.existing . However, if she still has a balance for the UK store she has to remove that balance before she can change country store and redeem the Ireland card.
