Sending contact from Palm Centro

Hello,
I'm using Palm Centro (unlocked). I was trying to send a contact, and I found no option to send it with SMS. It automatically sent through MMS. I'm living in Indonesia, and MMS is not really a fashion. Very few of us activated this feature, and some others are still using non-MMS supported phones.
Is it possible to send contact from my Centro to others with SMS, without having to copy and paste the number manually?
Oh, and while I'm at it, is there a keyboard shortcut to highlight text on the screen without using the stylus or without touching the screen? (like pressing shift+arrow in windows).

Hi.. Welcome to the Palm forums. If you are trying to send a contact I am not seeing a way to send it via sms. But if you go into the contact and then using the menu key, bottom right hand corner of the keyboard next to ALT, you will find a send option. I show you can send by bluetooth or email. I would think email is the way you will want to send it.

Unfortunately since it's two different operating systems you will not be able to transfer your contacts to your Lg device. However, it might be possible to do an address book transfer in the store from your Palm to your Lg.

Copy the contacts to am ipod touch compatible program (i.e. address book, outlook) then sync the ipod touch to that program via itunes ( the info tab).
I did this. I think I found directions on the Palm site. You could also Google it.

Sending contact from 6100 to Outlook2003

Maybe it's a simple issue but I didn't find any solution.
I'm setting PC Sync - advance - Directions tab - Only update mobile phone data to Microsoft Outlook.
Everything is fine, I mean when I set both directions, but now, I just want to send my contact from phone to outlook.
When I syncronize the program read my 300 contacts but at the end of process none of them is added.
What's wrong.
Im using WindowsXP, Olk2003. Tks.

How to sync contacts from Palm profile to online account.

I got my palm pre last week and the store transfered my contacts from my old phone to my palm pre. When I go to edit a contact, it shows their default account is to my palm pre and therefore their info's not syncing with my gmail account. When I enter new contacts, they default to google and sync with my gmail account.
Does anybody know how to change my existing contacts default account so they'll sync with google?

What i know is that palm profile info cant be extracted to a computer. Your best option is to get your old phone and sync it to your computer.

My JVC KW-NT30HD is capable of importing my contacts, and in fact has a set procedure. When I get to the step that involves the phone it says see phone instructions. Other than marking share contacts under blue tooth, is there a way to push it to the stereo?

This is under the control of the car system, it must request the contacts from the phone. Normally car systems (and good BT headsets) have a function for doing this. You will need to pair the car with the iPhone first, if you haven't already.

what you are being asked to do would be a complex task for an experienced DBA, which, judging by the way you have asked the questions, you are not, no offence intended.
As far as I can see you have three options.
1. Hire a consultant/contractor with the necessary skills to perform the tasks.
2. Gain several years experience as an Oracle DBA, including Apex, backup and recovery and disaster recovery skills.
3. Look for a new job.
Sorry to sound facetious, but it is a ridiculous task you have been given assuming the skill and knowledge level you are coming from. Assuming you have not misrepresented yourself to your employer, this is not your fault and I think you need to seriously push back on your boss if possible.

Removing Yahoo contacts from Palm Pre

How do I remove the duplicate Yahoo contacts from the Pre? I keep getting "Yahoo profiles cannot be deleted." Surely there is some way to delete them??

I'm having a similar problem and this solution didn't work for me. It removed the duplicate entries but there are still yahoo IM contacts in my phone. I've tried adding and deleting the account, deleted all the names from all yahoo IM email and still have the contacts. Still get message cannot delete yahoo IM contacts. Help?

Send Mail from Palm Treo 650

I've had a Palm Treo 650 for about 6 months. I've been receiving mail from my .mac account, but when I try to send, I receive various errors, including authentication.
Has anyone out there experienced the same problem? I suspect it has something to do with IMAP setup. I've tried both ports 25 and 587. Also, I've included my user ID in my SMTP server setup and have taken it out.

I sync two computers through .Mac but don't use a .Mac email account. I've had a 650/Cingular for about 6 months. I use Apple Mail on two computers to poll two POP accounts with my ISP (Charter) and one IMAP account through my web host. I can receive mail on the 650 from all accounts with no problems. Sending or responding to messages on the IMAP account works fine through the 650, but I've never been able to do so with the POP accounts. I get the same error every time ("550 relaying mail to <email address> is not allowed"). It will let me send test emails to those POP accounts though! Unfortunately I don't have time to resolve the issue. Luckily my business account is the IMAP so It's not too critical for me to figure it out. I would try changing all accounts to IMAP to see if that would solve it, but I don't think Charter email works in IMAP.

Cannot show contacts from Palm on Computer

Since hotmail got hi jacked by outlook I can't now see my contact list on my computer (I like to amend from the computer as it's easier now my sight isn't so good)
I've re synced but the desk top icon when I've double clicked it only comes up with photos, absolutely nothing to do with contacts/addresses etc.
Please can anyone help as it's getting to me now.
As a by the way, I've had to re-register with HP because not they're saying they've got no record of my email address - strange as I've had my Palm from them for many many years and haven't had a problem before.

Try doing a right-click on the shortcut for Palm Desktop, then choose "Run as Administrator". See if the data returns.

How to send contacts from 6230 to N70?

I can send my contacts list from my 6230 to PC Suite but can seem to transfer them onto my new phone (N70).
I'm not technically-minded so please help me. Am I really going to have to type each one into my new phone individually?

You should be able to send via bluetooth - pair the two phones and set as authorised so you don't have to accept each time.
I can't remember the exact terminology (as my gf broke my 6230 ) but go into the contact - Options - Send Business Card - Via Bluetooth.
That's how I did it from the 6230 when I upgraded from it.

Importing Contacts from Palm w/o using Outlook or Outlook Express... How???

Is there some way to import contact data from my PC & Palm into the Touch w/o using Outlook or Outlook Express. I have the contacts in Excel format but don't know how to get them into the iPod w/o using the syncing with iTunes. Any ideas?
If that's not possible, does anyone have any links to a better description as to how I go about getting the palm data into Outlook or OE? I know this is a Microsoft question and I'll try their forums as well. Thanks for your help.

i'm not sure this is possible. as far as i know you can only get contacts onto the ipod from either outlook OR windows contacts (which i think is only available with vista.)
there is an app called funambol, which will allow you to sync your contacts to an internet server, your ipod, and your mobile phone, using wifi.

Backup contacts from Palm IIIc to laptop

My husband has had this Palm IIIc for years and now wants to backup his contacts to his laptop.
He has left it with me to handle! Please help!! I do not seem to have anything that is compatible
for connecting it to his laptop.

iphone contacts were deleted. how can i download from the contact list saved in icloud?

On your iPhone go to Settings > iCloud.
Is your iCloud account set up there?
If so, is Contacts turned on for over the air syncing?
If not, you need to set up your iCloud account and turn Contacts on for over the air syncing.
