Sending contacts to Nokia 6103 via bluetooth

Good morning, everyone!
I'm having some trouble with the bluetooth connection between my MBP (C2D) and my Nokia 6103 telephone. Specifically, I am trying to send the contents of my addressbook from the MBP to the Nokia. However, I'm only able to send one contact at a time and the connection turns off and back on between each contact. I'm presuming (hoping?) that I'm missing something quite obvious.
Can anyone offer some help? (I've posted this same question in the bluetooth area.)

Good Evening!
The obvious thing I think you may be missing is iSync.
http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/isync/
Open the Bluetooth preferences pane, click the Devices tab, then click the 'Setup new device..." button, then follow the instructions.
iSync will handle the synchronisation of Contacts and Calendars between your phone and Mac. Its not necessary to do it manually from Address Book.

What upgrades are you talking about? If you already own an iPhone you clearly have enough money to afford one of the most expensive phones on the market - and you clearly have an internet connection, so there is no further cost involved to sync via WiFi or the internet connection you already have, using any of the free services to do just that.
If you insist on syncing via Bluetooth you'll have to pay for an alternative phone anyway - which would cost you more than just using the features your existing iPhone already has.

File Sharing over Bluetooth is not a feature of iOS devices. iOS does not include the required Bluetooth profiles to allow this. You cannot add this feature, so you may as well stop trying.

For the most part, you can't do that. There are some apps that will transfer photos from one iPhone to another iPhone. Check the App Store for those.

Playbook not accepting FILES from my nokia c7 via bluetooth

I got the playbook recently.
I have nokia C7 phone having JPG files and mp3 files. I wanted to transfer files from nokia phone to playbook.
I have done the following -
1. Bluetooth of the both the devices are ON and they are paired successfully.
2. FILE sharing option on playbook is also ON
3. however, when i send any file via bluetooth to playbook, my C7 says unable to connect.
I dont understand this. All the pairing and file sharing options are set correctly.
Please provide a solution ASAP.
I can also do the internet teethering from my c7 successfully, then why it doesnt transfer files via simple bluetooth. What am i missing?

At the present time there is no bluetooth file sharing on the playbook. Use a pc or Mac to put the files on an then transfer them to the playbook. At least you will have a backup of the files.

You can't share photos from the iPad to the phone via Bluetooth. That is not supported on the iPad. Bluetooth on the iPad is primarily for using external keyboards, speakers, earphones and some peer to peer gaming.

I can't send file from my macbook via bluetooth

I have this problem, I can't send files from my Macbook with bluetooth. When I click on send a file nothing happens, as if I didn't clck at all. I can still receive files though. It was working last week and I haven't changed my settings since. I checked and everything was still enable. I installed Mackeeper not long ago, I scanned the computer and made a cleanup shortly before it stopped working, I dont know if it could have been the cleanup, but it's troublesome since that was how I transfered my music on my mp3 player. I made a software update too and it didn't change a thing. Please help!! I don't know what to do!

I guess I'm stumpted. If the iMessage server is telling you that the recipient's email address/phone number is not registered with iMessage when in fact they are, somehow it's not looking it up correctly (as it is when you try from your phone). Signing out of the account in preferences, then signing back in is about the only thing I can think of to "restart" iMessage. I suppose you could try signing out again, then restart your Mac and sign back in. If you didn't restart your Mac after you signed out of iCloud, you could try that too. If none of that works, you'll probably have to contact Apple support for assistance.

You must have all your contacts on the simcard. Try copying all the contacts on to the simcard and then see what happens.

hi, m trying to help my dad transfer his contacts from sony ericsson W890i to the BB 8900, but for some reason the Ericsson gives me the 'items not accepted by other device'. where as no notification what so ever is shown on the BB that there even was an attempt to recieve contacts. please if anyone knows how to resolve this, it would be appreciated greatly.

You can't send the contacts using bluetooth, but you can copy all the contacts to the sim card, and after this copy the contacts in the sim card to the BlackBerry phone
Go to menu, contacts, press menu, sim phone book, press menu again and Copy All to Contacts.

Using Nokia headphones via bluetooth

After looking elsewhere in the forum, I created the .asoundrc in /home and asound.conf in /etc file as below:
pcm.btheadset {

Below is the line in /etc/rc.conf
DAEMONS=(syslog-ng network netfs crond hal cups alsa samba bluetooth fam sshd virtualbox)
The bluetooth applet (sorry I could not cut n paste the screen)
shows the Nokia BH-501 headset and three bars orange, green and blue and says connected.
From the command line:
mplayer -ao alsa:device=btheadset /data/Music/somesong.mp3
plays fine.
edit:I use alsa. Pulse is not installed.
Question is how do I get the sound when I play a song / movie in smplayer or vlc ?

Well, assuming your pulseaudio is working fine, the 'pointers' are just:-
1. Pair with device using bluez.
2. Move your stream to the bluetooth headset in pavucontrol (you may need to select A2DP in the Configuration if your headset supports it, not all do).

Then try setting btheadset as default in your .asoundrc. Not all programs support non-commandline (or even CLI) selection of alsa plugins.

Connecting Nokia 6120c via Bluetooth

I have just purchased a New Toyota Hilux SR5 and I am unable to get my Nokia 6120C to connect to the cars Bluetooth, It will connect but it will immediately disconnect any suggestions

I have a new toyota hilux SR5 and a Nokia E51 and this same problem of bluetooth disconnection is occuring.
Dont have the solution but this could be the cause:
In the E51 users manual under "Pair devices", it says "The passcode for remote SIM access must have 16 digits." HOWEVER, in the hilux the maximum passcode length they allow you to use is 8 digits.
Browsing the net for solutions this seems to be a common problem but no-one has mentioned this point. Guess the next step is to talk to Toyota about somehow increasing the passcode length possible to insert.
Let me know how you go.... or if you have already solved the problem.

Unable to recieve contacts from pearl to bold via bluetooth please help

hello everyone. I have a BB pearl 8100 and a bold and my pearl has the option for sening all the contacts to another device via bluetooth, i have paired both phones but i do not get the option for sending contact list to device like i do with the other phones i have paired with the pearl. why do some decives recieve this option and others dont, i need to send my info via bluetooth because my usb connection is failing on thes pearl and i have almost 1000 contacts.
please help, any ideas?

This is exactly my issue, even when the 'entire music library' is selected on the music tab, the gauge at the bottom (the blue showing audio) only shows 2GB.
On the top right of this tab however, it still states 8,000 songs. My iPhone 4S is in (almost) complete denial of my library. The other iPhone 4S linked to this library has no issue syncing the entire collection.
I have also tried selecting the other option where you manually check playlists, albums etc, and selected EVERYTHING manually, and still only 2 GB of my entire colletion is picked up.
My next options are backing up my entire library, deleting iTunes and all components and reinstalling, but what if this doesn't fix it? I have wasted so much time on Match so far :-( I could also make an appointment with a genius and bring laptop and iPhone 4S to the shop as a next step.
At this stage I would be happy if they refunded my Match subscription so long as I had my entire collection back on my iPhone.

I have Nokia x3-02 and my friend Samsung phone. When I try to send contact to his phone over bluetooth the message appear on his phone screen "Nokia.vcf number does not exist" and contact does not get saved. We did pair our phones successfully how do we make this work?

Are you selecting 'send Business Card' ? If so and still not getting it right then the Samsung phone may not be compatible with reading the .vcf
