Sending E-mail to Business Partner from Web IC

Hi Folks,
I am having some questions regarding sending an e-mail to a Business Partner (BP) from the Web IC 5.0.
When identifying a BP and then go to the work area of E-mail and selecting an email form/template we get different information populated into the e-mail depending on if the BP has a contact person or not.
If the BP has a contact person, information from the contact person will be populated into our placeholders for attributes (such as Title, First Name, Last Name etc).
If the BP doesnu2019t have a contact person, information from the BP will be populated into our placeholders for attributes (such as Title, First Name, Last Name etc).
Is this standard functionality in SAP?
Is there any way to turn it off, i.e. always take the BP information regardless if a contact person exists? Where can I find documentation regarding this ??

Hi Alexander,
everything depends on how you have set-up your email templates. These email templates can take data from the contact person or account.

Transfer deltas on Business Partner from CRM to MDM

I have to send the deltas on Business Partner from CRM to MDM. I know this is done with Change Pointers and the extractors.
I have the FM CRM_BUPA_EXTRACT to extract the data but I don´t know how do it.
Can someone guide me on this, please??? Is urgent.

Downloading business Partner from R/3 to CRM

Hi All,
Can any one pls help me how to transfer business partner from R/3 to CRM system? If it can be done through ALE pls explain me the detailed step how to do it like wht message type should be used etc. If there are some other way pls let me know.

download of BP will be done from CRM to R/3 will be done and from R/3 to CRM it will be upload
and this process is done through middleware with adaptors and plug ins which build relation b/w R/3 and CRM servers
and before downloading we have to do fielsmaping i.e. which fields are mandatory, optional, that too b/w account group og R/3 and BP role of
CRM this is the process
it requires basic settings and there r two types of downloads they are initial and delta downloads initial is one time activity and delta is ongoing activity where ever u create customer in R/3 it should replicate in CRM and the same case with CRM to R/3

I want to send a mail with a picture from mime repository.
The mail is sended OK, but the receiver hasn't the picture on the mail (don't find the picture).
Here is my syntax :
st_objtxt-line = '<IMG SRC="SAPR3://005056B2002D1EE3BF8F5B5ECDCA55E1" ALIGN=RIGHT WIDTH="100" HEIGHT="80">'.
append st_objtxt to t_objtxt.
"SAPR3://005056B2002D1EE3BF8F5B5ECDCA55E1" is url of my object mime .
Have you a idea to resolve this problem ? It's the syntax OK ?

Have you tried storing your picture as a business document? Have a look at the class cl_bds_document_set to read your picture from the BDS.

Creation of Business partner from customer

Dear Friends,
I am trying to create business partner from customer thorugh T-code FLBPD1 but unable to do so. Also. whenever i create a customer, a corresponding business partner is automatically created which is not desirable. Rather system should allow me to create business partners from customer separately when required. Kindly suggest any solution for the same.

Possible to change the business Partner from a created Contract in ICWEB??

I would like to know if it is posible to change the BP from a created contract in ICWEB.
I check the option "CONTRACT MANAGMENT" and there is an option to change the premise with the button "Move To Other Premise" but I don't find an option to change the Business Partner from a created contract.
Can you help me, please??

Creating a Business Partner from XML

I have a problem creating a Business Partner from an XML
First I did get the XML from an existing one. Deleted the DocEntry element but I always get this error :
-5002 : Employee is not a Technician [OCRD.DfTcnician] , '0'
Even if I go to this element and put NOTHING, I get the error anyway
What that means ?

Yeah, I succeeded. I had to get rid of dtfncien element completly and DocEntry element too and the bp was created
Would have been so much useful to get an EMPTY xml representation of an object so we juste have to fill the needed properties to an empty one and create the object afterward.
According to various threads, we have to GetAsXML() then, change whatever needs to be changed and then we create the object from this xml but there are a lot to get rid of sometimes in these objects

Error while searching for Business Partner in Web UI

While searching for the Business Partner in Web UI either by First Name, last name or Account ID, we are getting following error:
Cannot display view BSPWD_BASICS/ErrorView2 of Component CRM_UI_Frame

When the business partner blind search is given (i.e. by entering *), all the business partners get displayed without any problem.
Also, this problem occurs only for some business partners and NOT ALL.
This problem, has also been observed sometimes when an IBase entry is created in the background.
We are not quite sure whether notes, 135814 & 1515327 will help us in this regard, as the root cause is still unknown.
Could anyone suggest possible causes and solution for the same. We are on CRM 7, using the standard business role.

Hi Shiromani,
We have observed that this problem is peculiar with the data records attached to IBase ONLY. It means, if we process them further e.g. create a contract for the Business Partner after attaching the IBase, this problem doesnt occur. Then we are able to search the BP without any error.
In short, when an IBase is created for a BP, and if a search is given for such BP, the error given in the first thread occurs, But when an IBase is created and immediately after that a contract is attached to the BP, and if a search is given for such BP, then there is no error.
We are still further investigating the root cause. But any suggestion/inputs are welcome.

Deletion of Business Partner from tcode "BP"

Hi!
I set up ChaRM functionality and have the problem that for one existing Business Partner
from tcode "BP" the error message comes up:
The current business partner does not have a vald assignment to change Request Manager or Organization.
Therefore I would like to delete this value from tcode BP and recreate them.
Question
Does anyone know how to delete business partner from tcode "BP"?
Are there some report, functional module, etc. for this approach?

Hi!
When I try tp delete a business partner by usage of tcode "BUPA_DEL" I get the warning that this business partner will be used in some transactions.
Therefore I closed all the messages with theis assignment.
Unfortunately when I start CRM_DNO_MONITOR I see that some service desk messages with this business partner still exist, bu are closed.
Question:
What is the report or tcode to delete all the closed Service Desk messages?

Have you tried to set "Output Format" for "RAW Text" to HTM in SCOT.
If HTM is missing in your dropdown-list, you could check out table SXCONVERT2. Copy the line with category T/format TXT, and change the format from TXT to HTM. The existing function
SX_OBJECT_CONVERT__T.TXT does not need to be changed. Now you should be able to choose HTM in SCOT. You will probably need som HTML-tags in your text to make it look good.

I know about GetBusinessPartnerFromXml(string FileName, int index)
but I dont want to save the string in a file before creating a BP from it

First create an entry via NACE with medium = 5 ( External send ) with all other details same as normal print option. Now ensure that vendor master of the po has got the external e-mail id of the vendor. Now go to ME22n in mesages create a message with medium = 5 ( External Send ). Go to communication method, key in Communication strategy.Go to Further date & against Despatch time pick up option 4 viz. Send immeidately while saving an application. Now once you press the save button it will be sent to the address maintained in the vendor master of the vendor of the PO. Please note you require some basic settings from BASIS side as well.

Query regarding finding Business Partner from the External Number

Depending on where it is stored, your first option would be use the function module BUPA_NUMBERS_GET.
The other option is to read table BUT0ID if it is stored in the identification details of the business partner.
