Sending e-mails does not work

After switching on the mail server, adding an MX record on the DNS of the server and on the web site of the domain supplier the mail server is working. That is sending and receiving locally works. Receiving external mail works as well but sending mail back does not work. The mail is sent but never arrives. The SMTP log gives the following message.

Jan 19 23:19:10 domain.nl postfix/smtp[80282]: connect to alt1.gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com[2a00:1450:4010:c04::1b]:25: No route to host
(domain.nl is not the real used domain name)
Can anybody help.
It is the last part of the server that does not work. Wiki's, webserver, network users, calendars, contracts are all working fine.

are you on a static IP with a provider that doesn't block port 25?

Filter in mail does not work

All of a sudden, filtering in Mail does not work.
If I type a word that I KNOW appears in several emals, in the Search Mailbox field in the top right corner, it comes up empty.
That happens even if I type the word "and".
I have the All button selecterd.
Is anyone else having this trouble?

Also, many of these emails use your friend's email address as the source email, so it will circumvent your attempts to filter by in address book.
Take a look at the Raw source of the email and see if any of your conditions are being triggered as valid.

Maverick's Mail does not work with Gmail ! it works better with iOS 7

I do know how it's complex to program and more for an OS System.
Maverick's Mail DOES NOT work proprely with Gmail boxes ? Gmail incoming or outcoming messages are correctly notified on my iPhone 5s with iOS 7. But not on my Macbook Pro retina (end 2012) with Mavericks. One update was suppose to solve the trouble.
Hope you'll solve the problem as soon as possible. Bur not during the nights. But during your daytimes' work !

Have you checked your incoming and outgoing mail server settings?
If you are using IMAP, it should look something like the following:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - Requires SSL
imap.gmail.com
Port: 993
Requires SSL:Yes
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - Requires TLS
smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465 or 587
Requires SSL: Yes
Requires authentication: Yes
Use same settings as incoming mail server
If you are using POP3, it should look something like the following:
Incoming mail server type: POP3
Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: pop.gmail.com. Google Apps users, enter the server name provided, don't add your domain name in these steps.
Port: 995
Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) name: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 465
Outgoing server requires authentication: enabled

Since upgrading from Leopard to Mt Lion, the photo browser in Mail does not work anymore and I also cannot drag and drop photos from iPhoto into Mail. Any idea how to solve ?

Visual Voicemail is all carrier side, funny enough. Apple can't really do anything to troubleshoot it because it's outside of their realm. Be sure to contact your cellular carrier for further assistance

Mail does not work

I have had this problem for few days now, the mail does not work.
It starts to run, but the colorful circle starts to spin and nothing else happens... I can not go to the preferences or anywhere else and it does not open my account. Only thing that I can do is force quit. I have tried everything I know; repaired permissions, run the cd to check the disk...
Does anyone know what I should do? This is the first time I have this kind of problem...

How many email accounts do you have setup, or are you still trying to get it to open so you can setup accounts? And you are still using 10.4.11 as it says in your profile, right?
If you've already repaired permissions and the disk, quit Mail and go to Users/username/Library/Mail and delete the Envelope Index file, but +*don't delete the Trash*+. Then launch Mail and if it gets that far, let it import your mail messages, which shouldn't take too long. If that solves your problem, then you can empty the Trash.

You have tried all three of these basic fixes?
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit/close all apps. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus (-) sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If you try all three and still have no success you may have a corrupt email that you can try deleting from the server in your webmail using a browser.

Why would you expect it to work in 8.3, if it didn't work in a previous version? What troubleshooting have you done? Have you tried putting the car system into Pairing mode?
