Sending email copy to myself on E52

I'm pretty sure that in my previous phone (6120) there was an email setting "Send copy to myself" or something.. Now I'm wondering how to config that on E52.. I have gone through all (?) the email settings and user manual without luck. I'm using IMAP server and the sent mails are not copied to there either, only shown locally in "Sent items" folder. The preferred solution would be to have automatic Bcc: field having my own email everytime when I send mail from my mobile. Is there any solutions for this on these latest E-series devices?

Just to confirm have gone through here Menu > Messaging > "gmail or yahoo wwhatever it is" > options > E-mail settings > User settings > Send copy to self

First the update to 8.0.2 is not as I far as I have read not buggy. I can do a Google search and see.
Each device iPhone, ipad, iPod must have a separate Apple ID and password so as to stop receiving imessages to every device sharing the apple ID. That fixes your initial question.
The phone ringing to every device is fixed via Face Time
Settings-Facetime-iphone cellular calls
Must be turned off (Grey) if you don't want all the devices ringing.

When sending an email it sends a copy to myself.

I'm using Gmail and turned off the 'Always CC to myself' option in the mail settings, but I'm still receiving a copy of the email that I sent. It's pretty annoying and I've looked throughout the phone and also throughout the Gmail settings but haven't found anything to change it. I also tried searching these forums and didn't come across anything, sorry if this has been posted before.

Trouble sending email copy has been place in your out box

When I send an email, I receive a note that says "a copy has been place in your out box. Sending the message content to the server failed". why is this happening and how do I correct it. Thank you.

Maybe your mail settings wrong.
Delete affected e-mail account. Then on device go to: Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Add e-mail account back in.

We are experiencing this exact same behavior. Our environment is Exchange 2007 on Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012 domain controllers, and iOS 7. WiFi works fine but messages get stuck in outbox when sent over cellular broadband (3G/4G). Was able to reproudce problem over both Verizon and AT&T. I called Apple and engineering said that "the problem has been reported by others" and that "the problem will be fixed in a future update". Such joy. Also the problem appears to be related to message size...for sure anything over 100KB will fail over cellular broadband. Not sure of the largest message that will go through...from what I've read somewhere in the 40KB to 100KB range is where it starts to get crabby. Hard to say exactly what the problem is. Only happens with Exchange. But wasn't a problem on iOS6. Weird that an email and/or attachment size matters between WiFi and mobile broadband when going from iOS 7 to Exchange 2007 (in our case).

Can't send email to myself

I can't send an email to myself, as a reminder thru ical or thru different accounts. When I choose "get mail", I get the mail received sound but the email doesn't not show up anywhere. Not even in the trash or junk box. It just disappears. Do I have a setting wrong? Thanks for any help.

I have pop imap and .mac accounts. I figured out a shortcut. I made a rule in preferences that if the email is from myself, to make a copy of the email and put it in my inbox. Basically, I snag a copy before it disappears from my accounts. Only took me all day to figure this one out. duh. Thanks for the help Ernie!

Cannot send email via AOL on iPad2 - "A copy has been placed in your Outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed."

My CEO has an ipad2 and I set it up w/ AOL. She cannot send any email via her AOL account from her iPad. She gets a message that says "A copy has been placed in your Outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed." We've tried it on wifi and on 3G (Verizon version). I've removed the account and added it, I've tried setting it up as an IMAP account vs. using Apples standard AOL mail setting and nothing seems to work. The SMTP settings are smtp.aol.com, port 587. I've tried adding an alternate server/smtp, but I haven't been able to find anything that works. Any advice or other people having this issue? It works fine sending an email from her aol web mail. And unfortunately, having her sign up for a gmail account is not an option. Thanks

Interesting. Firstly I have been on AOL since the early 90s with no current intention to switch as my primary personal email account.
I have two email accounts on my iphone - AOL and my email from my business website. I deleted both and then recreated first the business account and then the AOL account. Same error. Then I wasn't sure what you suggested but I turned off the AOL SMTP server and selected the business email SMTP server by turning it on with the same result. I still get the error "A Copy has been placed in your Outbox. Sending the mssage content to the server failed."
Perhaps this problem will get fixed by IOS 6. AOL will not talk to me unless I pay and Apple says its not their problem. So for the time being I use the AOL web interface in the iPhone's Safari to send emails from the phone.

Sharing an Apple ID is never recommended for these reasons.
They can create their own: http://appleid.apple.com and you can add them at the addresses they use for their ID.
Sharing an Apple ID is not recommended because all of your data gets merged and when it gets deleted from one device, it deletes from them all, such as Contacts.

HELP! Why am I getting this error message? It's driving me crazy! When I try to send an email, the message stalls in the outbox and the following message pops up - "A copy has been placed in your Outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed." I have deleted and reinstalled the account, restarted the phone, etc - what the heck? The emails work just fine at Yahoo online, so the account it fine...I don't want to hard reset the phone, as I had to do that recently and it's a pain - any suggestions?

OR they are the right settings but you are trying to send through a different internet provider or 3G provider, that does not allow that SMTP server to send email.
if I send email from 3g or someone elses wifi on a different ISP, it will not work, because it does not allow that server to be contacted. this is normal.
What you want to do is setup a gmail account and use their SMTP server settings for the defauly outgoing server. that way you dont have to worry about this.

How can I remove the wrong "sender" from emails sent to myself?

I recently contributed to a Kickstarter program and since that time whenever I send myself an email from my iPhone, the sender is listed as Kickstarter. When I expand the sender, my email is also listed. This only happens when I send emails from my iPhone and only when I send emails to myself. Desk top and tablets work fine. I restarted my phone to see if the problem clears but the issue is still there. Any thoughts?

Thanks for your suggestion. Tried but didn't work, but I did find a fix. Open the email with the incorrect sender. Expand "from" by tapping ">". Then tap edit in the upper right of the screen. The company (in my case Kickstarter) appears, select delete, then save your changes. Gone!

You have not stated who your email account is with. Go to their website, see if they have FAQ's or a forum and check if there is an existing post featuring the same problem. Keep us informed.

When sending emails with cc copy recipients, header does not show the cc copy email adds it was sent, but, messages are received by all. whats wrong?

Our office email add experiencing this problem just the other day. Our email hosting provider havent found the solution yet despite my frequent follow ups.
Our business partners in Malaysia are already complaining because, suddenly email heading formats changed. Emails they receive from us (we are using the orange outlook express and mozilla thunderbird) when received by them, doesnt show the Cc addresses to whom we sent the email to. But, it is confirmed being received by all, their email adds appearing only in "To:". They are now confused, thinking that we are not cc copying all concerned parties in our emails but in fact we are. We have done test messages and still same problem exists. Hope anyone could help. Confirm your headers are correct:
when you view a 'Sent' email in Sent folder
It shows headers TO and CC with email addresses
When you click on 'Other Actions' and select 'View source'

Cant send iCal Invite to myself or alternate email address

I've been having a challenge creating an iCal event and sending an invitation to myself. What Im trying to do is add an appointment to my calendar on my personal Mac and have an invitation sent to my work email address so I can add the appointment to my work calendar also.
Apparently iCal will not let you send a invite to any of the email addresses in the "Me" address book entry.
I tried adding a new address book entry for just my work email address but that did not work either.
I had to REMOVE my work email address from the ME address book entry before the work address book entry would show up.

You can turn on text messaging notification in OWA to receive message notification, but the premise is that you can logon OWA. If you don't have access to OWA, you can create a transport rule to forward the messages you received to another user's mailbox,
and then set up his/her OWA to send text messages to your mobile device.
