Thunderbird does not set quotas. Email providers do. Ask them.

For some reason I cannot send email - all was working fine, but now I get the following error message when I try to send email:

I can receive incoming mail ok and I can send email from other Apple devices. The problem seems confined to my Mac Book Pro.

Have entered his Outgoing address mail.btinternet.com.
Can't send emails. Error message says server does not recognize my address

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, things have gotten progressively worse now in another direction. After I posted this, I shut down my computer to go to work. It had to "rebuild" the filevault sparseimage to recover space.
Now when I restarted it, I am missing things from my dock, ? marks are in their place, all of my preferences have been set to some default AND this is the biggie - I have no mail accounts whatsoever. When I click on Mail, it asks me if I want to establish a new account. It looks like the FileVault action has totally screwed up my system.
I tried rebuilding the permissions as recommended above using safe boot. Didn't help. I am now trying to repair the FileVault sparseimage as recommended elsewhere. I think I now see what the problem might be. I have two different sparseimages for the same account with the only difference is that a 1 is appended to the second one. Unfortunately I can't tell which it is. I have a feeling I should repair the 1st one (without the suffix 1). It must not be able to open that and hence that is why it made a second one.
Any other help anyone?

I just upgraded Thunderbird and now I can't send emails: error message reads "file size too large" which is not the case

error message reads "size of message exceeds temporary size limit of server"; The message is 1 word long so that's obviously not the problem;
I upgraded automatically to the latest version on 7-16-14 and that's when the problem started

I get this message when attempting to send a message to my distribution list. Problem started today. Single recepients work okay.

Sending job error message to admin by email

Hi everyone...
Anyone knows how to send job error message to admin by email? For example, if crawler failed, an email is sent to admin with the error message. I'm thinking of building windows service which run at the background and knows when a job fail and send the error message through email to admin.
Is there a better way?

Sending email Error - I had updated my iPad2 with IOS5, after updating I am able to recieve emails, but not able to send emails from gmail, hotmail and yahoo, support pls help me ASAP

The error mentioned is caused by the sending computer clock being off.. I see you are getting the error from a Yahoo server, which matches the discussion in the thread. The thread is in relation to using thunderbird as the email client, but I suspect that does not matter. So maybe check the date/time set in your computer and see if it is off?
Other than that, I have no idea...sorry.

Correct and re-send the error messages in PI

Hi everyone,
Today when iam monitoring my PI i found error like some objects missing in the que, I toublshooted it by using inbount xml payload and found the error and cunsulted the user he asked me to correct and re-send the error messages. as iam really new to PI monitoring i really dont know how to correct and re-send the error messages in PI, can any one please help me with it.

When you send the messages from RWB-->Component Monitoring ->Integration Engine>test message, runtime parameters like Sender System, Receiver system, Adapter specific message attributes won't carry any values. If you are using any of these paramters in the mapping step,, the mapping will fail.
I think in your case, RFC look up would have been configured based on Sender Business system/Service. but when you send message from RWB, the value for this field is empty. So that is why it is failing as the message cannot find the business system and communication channel.
If you use the sender file name, server name or any other parameters in the message mapping, then message will fail in the message mapping step. That is the major set back in RWB-->Test message.
Reasons:
1)We post messages directly into pipeline step message mapping.
2)The previous pipeline steps are ignored when post messages from RWB such as Receiver determination, routing etc
3)Receiver determination step is responsible to send Sender/Receiver values into the mapping step.

I am using an Idoc conversion rule in BD79 to load cost centers. In my conversion rule I use a conversion exit function module to concatenate 2 specific characters and sending cost center value together and then this output value placed in the receiving cost center field. This works fine, but now I want to send a custom error message to the idoc and fail the idoc if the sending cost center value is greater than 8 digits.
Does anyone know how to send an error message or update an idoc with an error message using a conversion rule (bd79)?

Check the thumbnails for exclamation marks, an indication of missing files. If you have moved images or folders using your computer operating system LR won’t know what you did and the original links will have been broken. You need to point LR to where you now keep the image(s) on your hard drive.

Adjusting the date or time didn't do anything for me either. I'm guessing my two options are to either do the full restore from scratch and not apply any backup ... Or possibly wait for an iOS update that might resolve this issue.
I'm not that much of an avid twitter user that I need it implemented natively in all my devices - so for now I'll probably value all my game save data, internal settings in apps e.t.c. over that functionality (or over the amount of work it would be to get me back to where I am now after a full wipe). I'll see what happens after the next iOS delta update. I'll reevaluate the full wipe after that if the issue hasn't been resolved

Yes, I believe you when you say you can only send messages to other Apple products. The iPad is not a telephone, and therefore, it cannot text message. It can only iMessage, which means it can send and receive messages to/from other Apple products if they are on WiFi or an iMessage capable cellular network.
Email, however, is a whole different category. I don't really think you can only exchange email with other Apple products only. Make sure you have correctly identified the symptoms.

HELP! Why am I getting this error message? It's driving me crazy! When I try to send an email, the message stalls in the outbox and the following message pops up - "A copy has been placed in your Outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed." I have deleted and reinstalled the account, restarted the phone, etc - what the heck? OR they are the right settings but you are trying to send through a different internet provider or 3G provider, that does not allow that SMTP server to send email.
if I send email from 3g or someone elses wifi on a different ISP, it will not work, because it does not allow that server to be contacted. this is normal.
What you want to do is setup a gmail account and use their SMTP server settings for the defauly outgoing server. that way you dont have to worry about this.

When I send an email -error message says can't save in folder

my sent emails don't save in the sent folder. When I click send for a new email ... I get an error message that says it can't save to the sent folder. Just started using TB yesterday.

I have a similar problem, except my progress bar never ends. The last thing I should read is message to saved in sent folder. If I close the window, the message does not appear in the sent folder. I have to tell you I have been using Thunderbird for several years now. As of yesterday, it was working fine. Now it isn't and this has left me scratching my head.

Everytime I try to open an attatchment within an email it won't open, asks me to send an error message.

Every time I try to open an attachment within an email it won't let me open it, it gives me the window with the choice of sending and error messg or do not send an error messg.
Also, when I click on the Firefox icon to get online it takes like a minute or so for the internet to come up. Both of these isssues have been going on for about a month.
