Sending email from good

We currently use Good for Enterprise for our email on Apple/Android devices. I have a user (President of the company) who would like to email articles from another application and cannot due so due to Good's security. Is there another possible way that we can send these emails from Good instead of the default email client. When he goes to send the email it is just getting hung up in his drafts folder of his default mail client and we need it to send through Good for Enterprise, any suggestions?
Thanks,

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • Cannot send email from my IPad Air

    I suddenly cannot send email from my IPad Air. Keep getting message that my email recipient
    was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying.  Don't understand what this means as I have been able to send email before.

    Paula, in most cases this message appears when you are sending email from a ISP server not in the pop settings and SMTP settings in your email program.
    In example if I send out email from my iPad I must be on my own isp's server to send. I have roadrunner but if I send email out using say Verizon's email server I will get a reject notice.
    You did not say what email program you are using but if it is hotmail or yahoo or your isp's email in two of these email accounts there are stand alone apps which work much better than the stock email program on the phone.
    If you are using road runner or another ISP email you must get the proper Pop3 (incoming) server settings and SMTP (send) settings from your ISP
    You can then just go into the Settings-Mail, Contacts and Calendar section and click on the email account and change to the proper settings from your ISP.
    You could delete as you were told but why bother when only the sending and receiving settings need to be entered.
    If the settings are correct, on an iPhone it tests the settings. If correct send an email. If incorrect you will need the proper settings from your ISP.
    It is actually very easy to do.

    Hi. You need to double check the outoing server used here. You can verify that with Bell and good luck.

  • Can not send email from Mac, iPhone, or iPad using mail using iCloud.

    I can send email from the icloud web page but I get error messages that the icloud outgoing server is not recongized when I send email from my iphone, ipad and Mac mail.  I can receive icloud email okay on all devices.  I have manully setup a icloud server per instructions on icloud support page for mail's outgoing server name.  It still is not recongized.

    I found a work around that works.   Got to Settings...Icloud....account......advanced....outgoing mail server.....
    Add an "other" server.
    Host Name p01-smtp.mail.me.com
    Put in your me.com email address as username and your Apple ID password
    SSL is on
    Authentication is password
    Server port 587
    This worked for me.....I will use this until the bug is fixed.     Don't make this server your primary.   Leave it in "on" status in the other category.
    Good luck

  • Can't send email from my 4s

    Since my last update (4s) just a few weeks ago, i can no longer send emails from iCloud and aol account.  I received the following message: Cannot Send Mail, The user name or password for "SMTP: ****@[email protected]" is incorrect.  The same goes for my aol account.  They were working just fine prior to update.  Help?! Thanks!

    I have had issues of "password incorrect" and mail not being sent, after doing the latest IOS 8 update to both my iPhone and iPad.  I tired all the different suggestions I found (deleting and re-adding my AOL account, changing my password, etc) and nothing fixed it until now!  While searching around for a solution, I happened upon a post from someone.  I tried doing this to all three of my AOL email accounts (on both my iPhone and iPad) and now it works great!  Here what that post said to do:
    "1. Set up your AOL account(s) using the AOL option
    2. Go into each AOL account(s) and under the "Outgoing Mail Server" section, press the SMTP entry
    3. Set the "Primary Server" to "Off"
    4. Press "Add Server" and provide the following information in the "Outgoing Mail Server" section
        a. Host Name - type in:  smtp.aol.com
        b. User name - type in your user name WITHOUT the "@aol.com" - that was the problem/change!
        c. Password - type in your password
        d. Use SSL - On
        e. Authentication - Password
        f. Server Port - 587 (mine automatically set it to port 587)
    After you enter in the above info, the Primary Server will still be set to OFF, but the new server you set will be set to ON, just doesn't show up in the Primary Server section.  Be sure to do the above steps for each one of your AOL accounts (if you have multiples ones).
    Apparently, in the main AOL Account Information section you need to use your user name and the "@aol.com", but you need to leave the "@aol.com" out of the SMTP.  However, the Primary Server has that whole section grayed out so you need to ignore that one and create another one."
    Good luck!  Worked for me and now I am as happy as a Lamb!!

    It is a good idea to power a GSM smart phone off/on on a daily basis - I do so first thing each morning, and I usually do a Reset once a week or so, which seems to help get rid of any cobwebs so to speak.
    Alan:
    A little bit OT, but can you enlighten me what the difference between a cold start (powering off once a day) and a reset is? On a desktop computer, there is no difference, at least in terms of clearing the "cobwebs."

  • Kern-Exec Error when sending emails from 9500

    Hi There
    My first post so hopefully someone may be able to help and I'll try to help others if I can.
    Just recently I have been unbale to send emails from my Nokia 9500. I don't think I've been doing anything differently but I keep getting KERN-EXEC error reason No 3, when I try to send email messages. Strange that I'm able to receive messages ok though.
    I looked at some of the other posts and followed mobile manic's advice for other KERN-EXEC errors. I backed up the phone contents to the PC, restored the phone to default settings and then re-loaded all the backed up stuff.
    Sadly, I still get the KERN-EXEC error message when I try to send emails. It seems to conect to GPRS ok but then the message just sits in the Outbox waiting to go but never does. So when I close the program (after leaving it for a few mins) that's when I get the KERN-EXEC error message.
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Cheers
    Sparky007

    Hi there Sparky!
    I don't suppose you tried to send an email before you restored the backup did you? Sometimes backups can back up the problem as well which is a bit annoying.
    If you can send an email ok before restoring the backup then the problem must be embedded in the backup... otherwise the only thing I could suggest is contacting a Nokia engineer to get them to have a look at it.
    Not sure what else to suggest... good luck though and let us know how you get on.

  • I cant send emails from my droid 3

    Does anyone have an answer as to why I can't send email from my Droid 3? I have removed the account, put it back in, and same thing happens, Authentication error. I have checked all setting and are exactly like my computer settings. I have checked and unchecked authentication boxes on both and still get the same error. Could someone please help, what good is it to get emails on your phone if you can't respond?

    Make sure you check all your email settings in General that the Proxy etc is correct. It sounds like that's the problem since u say it has been fine up till now. If that doesn't work I would highly recommend contacting your carrier.

    Sending email using SMTP and Java
    I was on a project a while ago where we needed to be able to send email notifications from the application to the administrator of the database whenever certain errors were trapped. This example shows you how. There are a few libraries that we will need to add in order to get started.
    Include the following in your project:
    import java.io.*;
    import java.net.*;
    import java.util.*;
    import java.text.*;     // Used for date formatting.
    After you have added the above libraries you are ready to start to get into the good stuff!
    The first step to be able to send email it to create a connection to the SMTP port that is listening. Most of the time the SMTP port for a server is usually 25 but check with your email administrator first to get the right port.
    Here is the code to make that initial connection:
    private Socket smtpSocket = null;
    private DataOutputStream os = null;
    private DataInputStream is = null;
    Date dDate = new Date();
    DateFormat dFormat = _
        DateFormat.getDateInstance(DateFormat.FULL,Locale.US);
    try
    { // Open port to server
      smtpSocket = new Socket(m_sHostName, m_iPort);
      os = new DataOutputStream(smtpSocket.getOutputStream());
      is = new DataInputStream(smtpSocket.getInputStream());
      if(smtpSocket != null && os != null && is != null)
      { // Connection was made.  Socket is ready for use.
        [ Code to send email will be placed in here. ]
    catch(Exception e)
    { System.out.println("Host " + m_sHostName + "unknown"); }
    Now that you have made the connection it is time to add the code to send off the email. This is pretty straight forward so I will add comments into the code sample itself.
    try
    {   os.writeBytes("HELO\r\n");
        // You will add the email address that the server
        // you are using know you as.
        os.writeBytes("MAIL From: <[email protected]>\r\n");
        // Who the email is going to.
        os.writeBytes("RCPT To: <[email protected]>\r\n");
        //IF you want to send a CC then you will have to add this
        os.writeBytes("RCPT Cc: <[email protected]>\r\n");
        // Now we are ready to add the message and the
        // header of the email to be sent out.
        os.writeBytes("DATA\r\n");
        os.writeBytes("X-Mailer: Via Java\r\n");
        os.writeBytes("DATE: " + dFormat.format(dDate) + "\r\n");
        os.writeBytes("From: Me <[email protected]>\r\n");
        os.writeBytes("To:  YOU <[email protected]>\r\n");
        //Again if you want to send a CC then add this.
        os.writeBytes("Cc: CCDUDE <[email protected]>\r\n");
        //Here you can now add a BCC to the message as well
        os.writeBytes("RCPT Bcc: BCCDude<[email protected]>\r\n");
        sMessage = "Your subjectline.";
        os.writeBytes("Subject: Your subjectline here\r\n");
        os.writeBytes(sMessage + "\r\n");
        os.writeBytes("\r\n.\r\n");
        os.writeBytes("QUIT\r\n");
        // Now send the email off and check the server reply.
        // Was an OK is reached you are complete.
        String responseline;
        while((responseline = is.readLine())!=null)
        {  // System.out.println(responseline);
            if(responseline.indexOf("Ok") != -1)
                break;
    catch(Exception e)
    {  System.out.println("Cannot send email as an error occurred.");  }I hope this has helped you out!

  • Sending emails from outlook - suddenly not getting...

    Hi everyone, I am new here but a btinternet customer for a good while. I have been quite happily sending emails from outlook to both other btinternet email addresses and a variety of non bt emails. all of a sudden on Thursday, they stopped being received by the recipient. The send/receive process seems to work (visually) and the logs and outbox show they have been sent - but nothing is received at the other end.
    I have not touched any settings etc, so what could be the problem?
    Looking to find out if there is anything I can do at my end or whether BT needs informing (though I cannot see who to contact).
