Sending email on outlook the window does not close window firefox 5

HI.
I just upgraded to firefox 5 from 3.6.18. When compose an email on the web it sends it, but the window wont close after that. I have to press X to do so. The email does send.
How can I fix that?

When I send an email I get the message does not allow relaying

Since the recent upgrade I can not send e mails, the message states the server does not allow relaying

Try going into Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > select the account > account name , tap on SMTP (under the 'Outgoing Mail Server' heading) and then tap on your Primary Server and try entering your email account and password and see if it then works

Photosmart 7520 e-ALL-IN-ONE appears to send email from scan successfully but does not

The scanner scans and appears to send the email successfully, actually confirms the email has been sent but does not arrive

Please Try the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows. The Print and Scan Doctor diagnoses and helps resolve common printing, scanning, and connectivity problems. It should resolve the problem, or at least point you in the right direction to solve the issue of the missing text. Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, see this forum for support.

If I close Firefox, the application does not close.

If I close the firefox window (Windows 7), the program stays running as a process in Task Manager. It will not allow me to re open the program.

Sounds like it is hanging when you exit and later try to restart Firefox.

Clinking on the X does not close the Tab

Recently I had to run the Loaris Trojan remover to get rid of something that hijacked my home page and search engine. I also had to reset the Firefox defaults. Somewhere in there I lost the ability to close a Tab by clicking on the X. The X is there but it does no close the Tab when I click on it. The only way I can close Tabs is to completely Exit Firefox and relaunch.
How do I restore closing Tabs?

When sending email to pc users, recipient does not receive text in email?

when sending email using MAIL to pc users from 27" IMAC, recipient receives the email and attachments, but does not receive my note/text in email?
any ideas?

If they are using Outlook, that is likely the problem.
There are two settings in the Edit>Attachments, Always send windows-friendly and attachments at end of message.
Also, set the message as Plain Text (Format menu).
Outlook has always been crappy with anything but Exchange email. They haven't fixed it in about ten years, so I wouldn't expect any changes in the future.

I'm trying to recover my security questions, but my alternate email address on the link does not match the one I have put in my Apple ID, on the link it is has an old one that no longer exists. Has anyone else been through this or knows how to help m

I've been trying to remember my security questions for ages, and I can't seem to remember them. On my Apple ID I have changed my alternate email address because the previous one was deleted, but when I go on the "Password and Security" page on my Apple ID and there is a link saying "Forgot your answers? Send reset security info email to ************@*******.com" but it is giving me my old email that does not match my current one on my Apple ID and no longer exists. I have been trying for very long to recover my security questions' answers, but Apple is not coping with me.
Has anyone been through this or knows how to help me?

When I click a link in email client (apple mail), it does not open in firefox. I have checked both Firefox and Safari and Firefox is the default browser.

When clicking a link in either apple mail or even from a word document, nothing happens.

Try to redo the default browser and make another browser like Safari the default and then let Firefox do it again.

I have upgraded to 5.01...now sites that I used to stay logged into will now longer stay logged in. After a certain time they timeout...the site does not close but I have to sign back in again. Is there a setting I need to change?

This issued started after I upgraded to 5.01. I 'm not sure if I inadvertently changed a setting that is causing the problem.

One email account sends and receives emails, the other does not

I have two different email accounts set up on my phone. They both worked, until I had my phone was serviced and wiped clean. Now one account sends and receives and the other does not. I have tried everything from deleting the account on the phone and rebooting, to changing my password. When I reactivate the account I get a message saying "activation server" and that messages will be forwarded within 20 minutes and they never come. I'm not sure what else to try.

I'm having problems receiving/sending emails thru Outlook.

I switched internet connection from AT&T to Comcast and I'm still utilized several AT&T email address's for free. I'm having problems receiving/sending emails thru Outlook. Could the problem be due to using their free emails with no support.
Do I have to go thru yahoo to read/send emails?

Change the ISP would not effect the email connection generally. (Only when ISP disable your mailbox which they could control directly.)
I suppose that your Outlook still store/cache the AT&T messages, try to export them as PST data file for backup.
Setup the new Yahoo in your current Outlook first and then import that backup.pst to continue to use.
