Sending emails from my cell phone

Is anyone experiencing issues sending emails through their cell?  Since I check my emails quite often on my cell phone, LG G2, I recently (about a month or two) have run into an issue that when I reply it sits in the Outbox and then eventually fails.  I keep resending and I can eventually get it to send.  I am having this problem from home and work, but I know I was always able to send from both locations in the past.  Has Verizon changed something?  It's very frustrating because as I said I do use my phone frequently for my email correspondence.  Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you perhaps a Yahoo email users?  For such the userid now requires @verizon.net be added to it.  This is not true for those not using the Yahoo email interface.
Othewise just check your email settings

delete email from server:  (your choice) i have mine set to when deleted from phone.

  • Send email to a cell phone

I need help with my application. I am sending a regular mail using an SMTP server to a cell phone using a destination email like [email protected] for example.
My message gets to the cell phone successfully, but not formatted properly:
In my cell phone Inbox category I see some number:
    502
and the message looks like this:
    [email protected]/Subject line/Message body
What I want to see is:
[email protected] in the inbox folder
and the message should not contain the sender:
    Subject line/Message body
I now this is possible to do because it works when I send the message from yahoo or gmail for example, but my code doesn't do it right.
    Any help is apreciated.

You probably need to know more about how your phone software is
interpreting the messages for display. If you just want to send a message
without a Subject, that's easy to do. But if your phone software expects
the message to be formatted in a particular way, or the Subject to appear
in a particular way, you're going to have to ask the phone software vendor,
or figure it out by trial and error.

  • How do I send photos from my cell phone to my macbook air?

I have an LG Optimus F3 cell phone with bluetooth.  I thought I could wirelessly transfer photos from the phone to my Macbook Air.
I successfully paired these two devices, but when I go into the Bluetooth menu and select the Bluetooth for my Macbook Air, the phone shows "No nearby Bluetooth devices found"  and in System Preferences in the Air, it shows my phone as "Not Connected".  I can't figure out what I have missed!   Help please!

Thanks for the info!  Yes, my phone supports Bluetooth transfers and I had previously successfully paired both the phone with the Air and vice versa.  I also checked out the Air manual and the phone manual and everything was correct.... but, I gave up after several attempts and ended up emailing the photos from my phone.  It took a while but, it worked.  Next time I see my son, I will go over it with him becuase he is much more Mac savvy than I am!  I appreciate the input.  Thanks again!

  • I am not able to send emails from my i phone

    - I can receive them  My servers are correct  any suggestions?

I have the same configuration in my N73 and it works on Vodafone. I think this is a network problem.
you might also want to check out Profmail- IMAP is much better. The built in application only alows you to see the header whereas Profmail allows you to get the first few lines at the same sync. This is very useful if you often get mail with attachements (like me) The built in applicaiton is rather limited- pity!

I can receive emails, but I cannot send emails. This just started happening. I have an iPhone and I can send emails from my phone fine. It's just not working on my Macbook. Every time I try to send an email it goes straight to my outbox. Can anyone help?

Thank you for heading me in the right direction.  I reset my Mail account for Outgoing Mail Server to outbound.att.net:(customer ID)@att.net (instead of smtp.att.yahoo.com, per Apple's online troubleshooting information).   I'm not sure what "(Offline)" means when it appears at the end of my Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)??  In the Advanced box I clicked on "Use custom port:  465" and checked "Use Secure Sockets Layer."  Authentication:  Password; I have correct User Name and Password put in.  After doing all this, when I try to send emails again today, they go directly to the Outbox and sit there.
What's curious is that my first sent email this morning did go out using the Outgoing Mail Server, smtp.att.yahoo.com: (customer ID)@att.net(Offline) but subsequent emails I tried to send with this server were rejected with the message:  "Cannot send message using the server smtp.att.yahoo.com (etc.).  The SMTP server doesn't support TLS(SSL) on port 587.  Verify your account settings and try again."  That's when I tried resetting my Outgoing Mail Server to outbound.att.net (etc.), as mentioned above, and was unsuccessful in sending out any further emails.  I guess my next step is to contact my email service provider, AT&T, and see if they can help me.  Thanks, again, for taking the time to respond and for giving me your input!  Much appreciated!

  • Sending Email From Mobile Phone

So I have Postfix working great and I've always used webmail if I needed to send email from PC's outside of $mynetworks. So fast forward to today where I got my 1st Android powered mobile phone and I can configure the Android mail client to send/receive IMAP email but my question is do I need to become an open relay to allow my random wireless providers dynamic range of IP's to send mail via Postfix? Seems extremely vulnerable and scary to think I would have to allow my providers IP range to relay mail via my MTA. I started reading a bit and I think I need SASL authentication (correct me please if I'm wrong) and since both Postfix 2.8.1 & Dovecot 2.0.11 are configured / using TLS, is there anything else I would need beyond SASL or that you recommend for sending email from my Android powered mobile?

I'm in the same boat, except that I don't have a smartphone yet - but I'm already outlining the changes to my soho-network.
I guess you have to secure the mailserver (using SSL + TLS looks ok to me) and also secure the server as a whole: configure iptables to lock it down completely, except for as little ports as necessary: IMAPS and SMTPS, maybe even on an other-than-default port...
Maybe you are also interested in syncing your calendar: I will be doing that with davical on my server (running for 2 years now) and acal on my Android smartphone: no syncing, but native caldav between server and smartphone...
The other option would be to install openvpn on your server and always work via your VPN.

  • When I try to send email from phone I get message net sign in failed and the messages won't send

Why do I get the message net sign in failed when I try to send email from my phone? This just started about a week ago and I am unable to send email.

        Hello yinz!
Let's get those emails sending! When you get the message, does the device prompt you to sign in to your email? If so, does it give you a different error message? The same? What type of email is it? Are you able to send/receive if using the PC? One option is to uninstall, then reinstall the email account from your device. Please give that a try and keep me posted on the results.
    Thanks so much,

try to log into your email from another mobile or device and see if you can, or log out of your email on your phone and log back in see if it works

  • Sending photos to other cell phones?

On previous cell phones, I was able to sent photos to other friends' cell phones simply by sending it to their cell phone number. Can I do this with the Iphone? Some of my friends do not have E-mail addresses, which is why I want the ability to send photos to their phone numbers. Thanks

Simply send your picture from your iPhone via email to the destination phone's MMS address (ten digit phone number followed by the carrier's MMS internet address (suffix). If you don't know it, just do a search and you'll find it's been posted a number of times before (ex., AT&T/Cingular's is '[email protected]').

  • Cannot send email from yahoo account on iPhone 5

I just got an iPhone5 and I couldn't set up my Yahoo email as "yahoo"--it would not allow me to complete the process despot multiple attempts. I had to set it up as an "other" account. I can receive and read emails on my phone, but when I reply those messages will not send. They go to the outbox and an error message pops up that says" the email account has been rejected by the server" Does anyone have advice on either issue: setting up yahoo properly and/or sending email from phone?

    SMTP - Yahoo! SMTP Server
    primary server
    Yahoo! SMTP server - ON
    server port 465
That's what I have for my yahoo account.
