  • How to get the path of the image stored in sap??

    Hi All
    The problem is
While making an entry in standard there is a field called documents through which we attach our images in sap.
How to get the path of the image stored with the corresponding order so that the image can be displayed while we are creating a report.
I know how to upload the image while creating a report using docking control.
I am not able to get the path of the image stored...
    Please Help
    Thanks in advance..
    Pooja

I am not aware of exactly which tables are used for storing the attached doc. details, but we have worked in the similar requiremnent.
What you can do is .... before uploading the image to any order, try swich on the SQL trace ST05 and after upload switch off.
The log will display what are the tables involved while storing the image. And you can easily find out the image location.

  • How do I send images in-line in text eMails?

Using TB 24.6.0 and sending eMails in text format (not HTML) I am unable to add images (J-pegs) in-line. How do I overcome this problem or it is not actually possible in TB?
    Many thanks

Turnpike was a world leader developed in the 1990s and taken over by Demon. Unfortunately Demon managed to loose their programming expertise with the result that they were unable to develop it to keep up with more recent developments. They pulled the plug in the spring of 2013.
    See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turnpike_(software) .
Most Turnpike users have been unable to find anything that approaches it for either efficiency or intuitive use.
Demon recommended TB and Microsoft. Guess I will have to try sending as HTML but many of my customers are strictly plain text only with HTML filtered out - It's a security thing.
    We shall see.

  • Issue with sending an image in the body of email using SAP ABAP

    Hello All,
We have a requirement to send an email to our external clients that contains an image in the body of the email. We are using cl_bcs class in ABAP to send the email and the mail is sending in html format.
We have uploaded the image in the SAP system using the transaction u2018SMW0u2019 and we are using the Function Module 'WWW_GET_MIME_OBJECT' to retrieve the image while sending the mail. But image is not displayed in the mail by using this approach.
When we tried to use the image URL from the company website with <img> tag of the html code in the ABAP Program, the image is displayed in the mail. But, to display the image we need to use the download option and also it is taking time to download.
Our aim is to download the image automatically in the mail. I have searched sdn but couldn't find complete info.
If anyone worked on the similar functionality, kindly reply.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Best Regards,
    Ravi.

Are you trying to send the e-mail with the image embedded? I did it with PHP and Phython... Never done it in ABAP, sadly to say... but I guess it should be possible. You'll need to play with the way the HTML code of the e-mail is being created, using MIME and the right headers. I'm guessing the result of WWW_GET_MIME_OBJECT will be your 'Content-ID'.
Do some google with "Send an HTML email with embedded image". Even if it's related to another programming language it might give you some clues about how to compose the e-mail and you'll be able to replicate the logic by using CL_BCS.
An alternative would be to just attach the image to the e-mail.
    Cheers,
    Andres.

  • IN which SAP tables Email id is stored

In which sap tables Email Id is stored

You really shouldn't worry about that. Use the access functions instead.
If you are thinking about the e-mail address for a user, use the function module BAPI_USER_GET_DETAIL.
If you are thinking about the e-mail address for an employee (which is not stored in the same table), one solution is to use BAPI_EMPLCOMM_GETLIST and look for an entry with subtype 10 (this one is SAP standard I believe) or any custom subtype which should hold e-mail address.

Apple Mail isn't going to change the format of any of your attachments. it isn't going to corrupt them either.
Exchange is a transport protocol and server. The issue you describe is not related to Exchange.
There are many different versions of Microsoft Outlook in use and they all have e-mail bugs. Different versions have different bugs. Some Apple Mail hack to get around a bug in Outlook 2003 may cause the same message to be problematic in Outlook 2000. Fix them both and another issue will cause trouble in Outlook 2007. You can't fix this. Apple can't fix this. Microsoft can and has but that is irrelevant if your recipients are using older versions.
One specific problem is that Apple Mail always sends image attachments inline, as images, not as iconized files. You can change this with Attachment Tamer. Just be aware that use of this software will break other things such as Stationery. E-mail is just a disaster. To date, no one outside of Apple has ever implemented the e-mail standards from 1993. Apple has continually changed its e-mail software to be more compatible with the de-facto standards that Netscape and Microsoft have unilaterally defined and people documented as "standards" after the fact. The e-mail messages that Apple Mail sends are 100% correct and do not violate any of the original standards from 1993 or the Microsoft/Netscape modifications. The problem is entirely bugs and limitations in various versions of Outlook.

When you attach things, make sure to check the box that says [√] Send Windows-Friendly attachments

I know that a DMS number is created in Filenet for each image you upload and that is how you link it. But I am here to ask you how you connected from SAP to filenet? Can you please update me if you have done any rfc calls, any Function module or BAPI?

I had to strip the HTML tags so you can see it below. <br>
I place the below code inside HTML tags, inside the Source Code for the PL/SQL anonymous block of the Send Email notification and it all works great. <br>

  • Can i send images by email as attachments rather than embedded in email

can i send images by email as attachments rather than embedded in email

How the email message looks in Mail is fairly irrelevant to how it will look to the recipient.  An image attached to an email message is an attachment regardless of how the client displays it.  Some will display it inline, others as an icon in a list of attached files.  Regardless, it is an attachment and should be capable of being opened, saved to another location, etc.
Unfortunately, some Windows email clients (*cough* Outlook *cough*) are absolutely crippled when it comes to email standards, and make it difficult for recipients to view or save some attached images.  You can better ensure success with Outlook by using Windows-friendly attachments and only sending plain text email, rather than HTML email.  However, Outlook is still Outlook, and it does not play well with others.
If you must communicate with people who use Outlook  try uploading your photos to an album on Picasa, Flikr, Shutterfly, etc, and then send people a link instead.  Or convince them to use a real email client, like Thunderbird.

  • Problem in sending images in Email

    Hi,
I am unable to send images in Email.
My template jsp is as :-
    <img src='<%=getServletContext().getRealPath("/images/logo.jpg")'%>
In Email its not displaying .
    Please help..
    Thanks

    <img src='<%=getServletContext().getRealPath("/images/logo.jpg")'%>
Above code is not displaying image coz when browser is rendering email content, It's expecting logo.jps to be present in image directory relative to browser temporary folder, Which is not..
If u wan to display image in mail, U have two options:
Either attach image in mail as suggested by Prateek.
Make Image url a absolute url.
Usually Sites send email with absolute ur, When u read email, ur browser gets the image and render the content along with image.
    Thanks,
    Nitin.

  • E63 send image to email address

Hi chaps, it looks like I cannot send an email, I'm on Virgin, I'm too stupid to understand why - anyway I need to be able to send a picture to my wife's email address once in a while, from the middle of a field ie no wifi, is this possible in any way ?
    Regards Roger

Thank you so much papaerns, I have a gmail account and downloaded mail for mobile and have the icon in my apps folder but when I click on it it sits saying 'connecting' for an hour or two if I click on connect it tells me to be patient whilst it initialises ! Don't get me wrong, this may well be something to do with the way I'm doing it but I've tried lots of options.
Nokia email ... I got as far as inputting all my details and the website said I would receive a text message and should follow the instructions, well the text didn't arrive so (following the advice on the site) I tried again, and agin, and the text didn't arrive so I browsed to the site (as per the suggestion) and tried to download from there but still the message didn't arrive.
Virgin have basically told me that I cannot use my email account to send ... no not ever, never, that's from 2 different tech reps. I can got to my email through a web browser (I've got Opera mini) but it really seems a pain, difficult to navigate the pages and then having, seemingly, to enter mail addresses and passwords every time.
All I want to do is take a photograph when I'm at a carboot sale and send it to my wife's email so she can tell me if we can afford to buy the piece of junk ! - normally she just says no !
Maybe I'll try the OVI idea ... as I said I, seem to be able to receive my emails (so that's good) and all I need to do is send the odd pic'
Thanks again for taking the time .... good of you.
    Roger

  • How to send image file through mail without   any attachment

Plz tell  me how to send image file through mail without any attachment  ( i mean not converting  that image into pdf or any format )  i want to send that text or image  through mail .

    Hi Sandeep,
I think you can setup the type of email in Shared office Settings in transaction S016.
There is an option called <Preset document classes>
You choose this pushbutton to branch to the maintenance screen for the document classes that are directly displayed to users in the Business Workplace for selection when they use the Create function. The name under which the documents are displayed can also be maintained.
