Sending mail takes a while.

Mail works fine, apart from it takes a while to send, or more to the point, there is a noticeable delay before the message is finally sent. I didn't have this quirk in 10.4 so why if Mail has been completely rebuilt from scratch in Leopard, this happens?
any ideas anyone?

I have something similar to this issue too.
When I send an email the entire mail.app locks up until the email is sent... which could take up to a minute.
Weird. It doesn't happen all the time, but most of the time when I'm emailing people outside of our organization

Sending mail takes forever

why does the iphone take an hour to send mail using the mobile me service?
My freind's emails go out instantly on his gmail account.
Is apple just charging top dollar for bush league service again? I thought they upgraded things a while ago so it would offer close to service that you get for FREE elsewhere. Is that not correct?

To get the right scoop for setting up your outgoing server, google your ISP and the words email settings, and you will likely find a page that will give you the settings. While you are there, see if there is a restriction on where they will send from. Some US ISPs simply will not send e mail, if you are put of your home territory. The. Only way around that is a different mail provider, such as gmail, yahoo or whatever.

Send Mail to Customer while saving the Sales Order

Dear Friends,
My Requirment is to send the mail to Customer automaticaly when create any Sales Order.
While sending the mail given three points reqired.
1.     Send the attachment of Order Conformation along with the mail.
2.     There must be The title text as "Order Confirmation refrence of your PO <Customer PO No> <PO Date>"
3.     There must be some body text like some terms and conditions with variables of Order data.
Can any body help me one this step by step.
Kindly suggest me how to do this.

Sending mail takes 2 seconds

When I use this code, it takes 2 seconds to execute.
It is a static method and code is run on my tomcat server.
It all works fine, just the length of time to execute.
Questions:
Why is this taking 2 seconds, any way to speed it up ?
Should I just stick it in a separate thread and let it work on it's own so users don't have the delay ?

Obviously you should do some debugging to determine which statement is using most of the time.
Most likely it's the call to Transport.send, but you should prove that.
Since Transport.send is talking to your server, the delay could be entirely waiting for your server.
Also, Transport.send will need to look up the host name that you're connecting to. If your name
service is slow, that could explain it too.

HT1338 sending of mail takes more than than other mail accounts

Got a new mac pro, and made an yahoo.account on the mail.
When im sending mails with pictures, it takes a lot of time than usual .
It was set ut as the apple mail usual sets up. Very easy-

I know nothing about networks and all the techs involved. I only have a modem, airport extreme and I use at&t as a DSL provider.
When I send an email, while sending, if I click on connection doctor it shows "connecting..." during that 30 seconds period. If I send another e-mail immediately after, it goes fast.
What makes me believe the problem it's about Mail is that it works fine with another software (Eudora) in my Macbook, and also with a PC. I tried another Macbook with Mail and the problem persists. This is not a big issue, but it is not normal. I will try the new Snow Leopard and hope that will fix the problem.

SquirrelMail Takes a long time to send mail

Am running SquirrelMail 1.4.10a in Tiger Server.
Users can login, receive mail, compose new mail, and read mail fine. My problem is when a user sends mail, it takes up to 45 secs to complete the send. The sent email will show up in the "Sent" folder okay and it is sent, however, it never closes out of the "Compose" window and seems to time out.
Any ideas?
Do I need to add a hosts file or edit an entry into my current hosts file?

I'm having the same problem with 2 server that I'm running, web mail runs perfect but the compose window won't refresh after clicking on send!! didi you have any luck fixing this issue? i found out that for some people restarting apache would help but not for me!! maybe you should try!!

Acrobat 9 Pro " An error occurred while sending mail"

Dear Gurus:
Free ice cream to the person with the answer that works.      I use Vista OS, 32 bit;    IE (Primary) and Mozilla;   Outlook E-mail (primary) and Windows Mail. The preceding has been the case for the last two years so "nothing has changed".    I used Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro for two years and designed a number of interactive forms and used the functionality as much as possible.   Overall a good experience with Pro 9
Case in point, I designed an interactive employment application that was regularly used, updated and re-released over a period of about two years without incident. It was set up to be completed online by employment applicants. Once completed, they would click to "e-mail the office" the completed application then close the document.    It was set up with the button to send a form, and more precisely to send the form as .FDF to the mailto: address#1; address #2.   Again it worked fine using either Mozilla or IE until last week.      As usual, I made some minor edits to the existing body fields and left the buttons alone sine there was no need to bother them.
I emailed the revised .PDF document to   "the web guy" who added it to the website- like all the times before.     I went online to "test it" as usual so I filled it out.   When I click the button to send form to office, the option comes up to select the email client.   I use Outlook so I selected "Desktop E-mail Application", click OK and then I immediately get the message "An error has occurred while sending mail".      In the past without fail, the Outlook would open after 1-3 seconds and attach the   .FDF file with the normal .FDF and data jargon. no problem...      Also, I am aware of extending features to Reader and the licensing issue, but I doubt that is an issue.....
So, before I posted here I tried a few things:
A- I tried opening the source .PDF application locally on my PC and filled it out. I clicked the button to "sent the file" to myself.    To be clear this was not posted on the website, but it did open Outlook, create the email, add the .FDF and sent it to me.       HHHMMMM so it works locally....
B- Next, I started fresh with a blank adobe document page and added two items: 1- a text field and a new email submit button I created to send the data via FDF.    I set it up, it worked fine when I tested it locally on the PC and created the .FDF file and the Outlook email and I sent it to myself.     Then I took this same little test file and added it to a different website I have access to, I re-published the site, ccessed the form and no dice......    I got the same message, " an error occurred while sending mail" when I clicked OK to use the Desktop Email Application.
C- I read other posts and Googled for about 6 hours yesterday and now I am missing clumps of hair.
So, it seems something "happened" that will not let the email be created from an existing form; or a NEW form that are available for use on a website; but BOTH work just fine if accessed on a local PC.

Thank you for your follow up.       I'm not sure what you mean by, "did I do a comparison to the original".    If you're asking whether I'm sure the .PDF and the .FDF are the "same" documents, they are... however the problem is even if they were entirely different forms, my issue is once the submit form button is clicked, Outlook fails to initialize and attach the   .FDF file .
I mentioned how I tried to recreate the "error" by building a new form from scratch in order to eliminate all the possible variables of having a bug in the form that had been updated so many times before without incident.   Even with the new form having just one text field and one submit form button, it worked as needed when I used the .PDF file locally right from my PC by filling out the field and submitting the form's .FDF data to myself.      It opened the Outlookprogram, created the mail and attached the .FDF file.     I clicked "send" and away it goes from "me" to "me" and I was able to open the email, click the .FDF then browse to the .PDF source form so the files could extract into the   .PDF.    All normal and all Okay , like 100 times before using the WEB, but not now... .
Today, even that simple form with one field and one submit button encounters the same "An error has occurred while sending mail" message upon clicking on the web based submit button.     The option comes up to let me select the email server and when I click "OK" , the error notice comes up...    grrrrrrrrrrrrr
In short, when the form is used in a website environment, it doesn't want to create the outgoing email with the .FDF file attachment.      Normally, it worked like a peach.

I have been using Thunderbird for a couple of years. On Friday 10 Apr my home email account stopped sending either new messages or replying to incoming emails. In addition I have Thunderbird get my work email and I can send and receive email just fine. I can also send email from my android phone and via the web.
The message that has started coming up is the following:
An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: 5.7.1 [P4] Message blocked due to spam content in the message.. Please check the message and try again.
I have tried reinstalling Thunderbird but nothing changed, I tried changing the port from 25 to 587 to 465 but nothing changed. I do not understand what is going on as on Wednesday Apr 8 everything was working just fine.

I have just tried ringing RCN and they tell me that because I am not using an RCN email as such they can not help but he suggested that it was a filter in Thunderbird but I have not set any filters and can not see if there are any or how to change them. The only way sending my website url right now is to make it not look like a url. Where do I need to look to solve this as I first wrote last week everything was fine.

I have created a task which will send Mail to user when password is changed.
so in Notification Tab i Have clicked user check box and attached a appropiate Email Defination,
when task is triggered password is changed in OID but while sending mail i am getting below error.

Create a task "Send Email" which will be called on SUCCESS of Change Password Task
Attach tcComplete in INTEGRATION tab And send Email from "Send Email" using Notification Tab
It seems that issue is with Change Password Task

Error while sending mail tru campaign

I have serious problem while sending mail thru a campaign in WebLogic 8.1.4 Portal. While running the application and visiting a portlet which contains the PlaceHolder which in turn is supposed to execute the campaign, the console
shows an unending exception stack trace. The Exception is : "Exception:SQL Exception creating bucket entry ... transaction rolledback".

Turn on session debugging and examine the protocol trace. If you still can't figure it out,
post the debug output here.
Most likely you have a firewall or antivirus product that's closing the connection unexpectedly.
Possibly your server is disconnecting for some reason. The protocol trace might provide clues.

Error while sending mail from SAP system

I configured SAP connect in ecc6.0 ehp7 while sending mail using tx sost i am error
Message cannot be transferred to node SMTP due to connection error (final) , below is the icm log.

Actually, I performed the following two steps in order to solve the issue:
- In transaction SICF, the node for SAPConnect must be active. In our system, this node was in inactive state. Hence I activated it.
- Then In transaction SCOT-> Settings menu--> default domain should be 'xyz.com' if the email addresses in your company are maintained with a suffix xyz.com.
But for me the problem didnt get solved here..
The problem that i am facing now is that if in my user profile, I have the email address maintained, then i get an error saying 'Sender address rejected'. However, if i goto transaction SU01 and clear the email id, the mail is successfully sent to outer world.
You can try the above mentioned two steps using SICF and SCOT. If the problem does not get solved then try clearing the mail id in ur user profile.

Recently we are facing an error while sending mail from SAP. When we try to compose a message ,it is moving to a dump error RAISE_EXCEPTION.
The details from ST22,
Short text
    Exception condition "FOLDER_NOT_EXIST" raised.
Error analysis
    A RAISE statement in the program "SA
    condition "FOLDER_NOT_EXIST".
    Since the exception was not intercep
    program, processing was terminated.
