Sending Mail to Multiple Addresses

I am thinking of moving from Outlook to Mail as it works better with the iCloud but cannot figure out how to do one thing...
In Outlook I can bring up the contact list and click on various email addresses to send a mutliple email out.
How do I do the same thing in Mail. I dont want to create a Group as sometimes this operation is for one off emails?
Can anyone shed some light on this for me please? What am I missing?

You have provided incorrect information. If in the AB you create a Group, and then in Mail Preferences/Compose you do not check the box beside "When sending to a group, show all member addresses" then in the To header it will only say Undisclosed Recipients. This works with every SMTP I have ever tested with. If this does not work for you, then you have a very peculiar SMTP!

Can No Longer Send Mail From Multiple Addresses.

Any help appreciated. I have been using multiple email addresses to send and receive mail through my POP account with Macmail without any problem but all of a sudden this has stopped working on all but my initial account. If I try to send a mail I just get a drop down error message stating:
"This message could not be delivered and will remain in your Outbox until it can be delivered.
Verify that you have addressed this message correctly. Check your SMTP server settings in Mail Preferences and verify any advanced settings with your system administrator."
Anybody got any ideas??

Have you changed ISPs lately?
Has your ISP changed it's rules for passing Mail through? Many do change the Port & Authentication to do so... and rarely notify their paying customers... go figure that one!?

Yes you can..You can add any no. of email ids to the table parameter 'RECEIVERS' of the function module. You can create a distribution list and then add the ids to that dist. list.. use so23 to create the dist. list..

Take a look at the documentation of FM 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1' for parameter PACKING_LIST. I think you should set t_packing_list-head_num to a different value than 0 for the second attachment.

Sending email to multiple address using Utl_Smtp

Hi,
I want to send email to multiple address using the Utl_Smtp feature.
When I am sending email to one email address in the To:Field it works fine.However, when I send
to multiple address I am getting the below error.I am using a table(Email_test) to store all email id.
Error report:
ORA-29279: SMTP permanent error: 501 5.1.3 Invalid address

Simple Mail Transfer Protocol RFC 5321 specifications.
      RCPT TO:<forward-path> [ SP <rcpt-parameters> ] <CRLF>
   The first or only argument to this command includes a forward-path
   (normally a mailbox and domain, always surrounded by ">" and "<"
   brackets) identifying one recipient.In other words, you can only define a SINGLE mailbox address at a time. Multiple addresses requires multiple repeats of this command verb, once per maibox.
Do not confuse this and the To: tag line in the Mime header that contains a comma delimited list of recipients. That tag line can contain anything - it is not parsed, not checked, and not verified as matching the actual recipient mailboxes as specified via the RCPT TO verb.

Sending mail with multiple dest., one is rejected - mail is rejected, why?

I have a problem with my messaging server, while sending mails to multiple users, and one of them does not exist or is overquota.
If one of the recipients gets rejected (email address does not exists or is overquota), the email is rejected (type J register) and no one receive it.
any idea why messaging is doing this?
The queue i'm using is configured like this:

The noexquota option does nothing on Sun Messaging Server:
"Note that these options have no effect on delivery to Messaging Server mailboxes on any platform. "

How to send mails to multiple recipents using SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API

I am using the FM "SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API".
I am able to send an Excel sheet as attachement, but my requirement is to send multiple mails to the corresponding persons. I tried using coma, colan, semi colan as the separator in the import parameter SENDER_ADDRESS for two different mail id's but it was not useful.
I need to send mails to multiple recipens using the same FM. (keeping one person in to list and two of the persons in CC.)
can any on throw some light on this.

Problem in sending mails to multiple persons

I have a problem in sending mails to multiple people....
My mail is using the local smtp server...The mail is to be send to multiple addresses in to and cc.
for e.g the to address will have --> [email protected];[email protected]
cc address will have --> [email protected];[email protected]
How do this i.e set multiple to and cc address...
My function that sends mail from my ejb looks like this...

It would be easier if you did not use dbms_output, or, if you really wanted to, do not call it directly. Write your own procedure (let's call it add_to_message) that concatenates a string to the end of a message that will ultimately be sent as an email. If you want to display the string using dbms_ouptut.put line as well as append it to the message, then call dbms_ouptut.put line inside add_to_message.
If you really must get the text from dbms_output, use dbms_output.get_line (or get_lines)

Sending mail to multiple people

Hi,
I need to send mail to multiple people at one shot. I am using Transport.send(msg, addressTo[]); method. It is working fine. I have a requirement where in the person who receives this mail should only see his email id in the To field and not others.
if i do not set msg.setRecipient(), then the mails displays blank in To file. Where as if i set msg.setRecipient(Message.RecipientType.TO, addressTo[]), then it displays all the emails ids to which the mail is sent in the TO filed.
Please let me know if there is a way where the person will see only his email id in the To filed even when is mail to sent to multiple people.

I also wanted to do that (sending email to a lot of people and not seeing all those address of others)
Here is what I did to solve it:
1. I have created an String array of recipients
2. I have created a method named sendEMAIL(String[] address)
3. Inside the method, there is a loop in which every iteration, the function
sendMail() is called, thus sending the same email but the address is being changed every iteration
The method I described is slow since it mails to every address thus calling the function sendMail() every iteration which will be a lot slower for a lot of email address or recipients.
With this, I have been able to send same email to different people and those people wouldn't see the email addresses of other people in the "TO" field.
