Sending  MIDI  tones to Nokia!!

Hello,
Now four days and still having this problem, I am facing a big problem in sending a MIDI (Polyphonic) file to a Nokia handset, my testing handset is 6610, I am using SMSJ API (http://sourceforge.net) for my projects, I have sent lot of different tones but not the MIDI til now, have you any experience on this? What about the NBS Port x1581? Shall I change it when I sending a MMS? What about the UDH format? Does it have some special format for MIDI? Plz help.
Greetings.

the best way to send midi tones is through MMS... attach the midi file just like an image...

  • Cant get macbook pro to send midi signals

I have a new Macbook pro running 10.8.2 and I am trying to send midi singals to an Elation Magic 260 light controller. I have an M-Audio Midisport USB Uno connected from the macbook to the magic 260. I have installed the drivers for the uno, I can see it show up in my AMS screen and have created an external device for my Magic 260. When I go to test the setup...I get no sgnal coming from the macbook. Just wondering if anyone out there can offer some insight or advice?
    Thanks in advance!

  • ActionScript 3.0 -- Sending MIDI messages

I'm looking for ActionScript 3.0 methods that allow me to
send NoteOn MIDI messages and MIDI continuous controller streams
    such as pitch bend.
Last time I checked Flash had very limited MIDI control -- it
could only play whole MIDI files! Does ActionScript 3.0 have offer
    more specific control?
    Anybody in the know?
MIDI is the most efficient and flexible music delivery tool.
It’s VERY powerful asset that Flash would be wise to support.
When Flash/ActionScript supports MIDI, you’ll see what I
mean. To date Flash has grossly underutilized the MIDI protocol.

I believe this is an important point, so I'll try saying it a
    different way.
MIDI is to digital audio as vectors are to digital artwork.
It's great that Adobe leverages the efficiency of vector
graphic into Flash. Imagine if animators could only use pixel base
artwork in Flash... files would be huge, and flexibility and
    editability dramatically reduced.
The lack of MIDI support in Flash’s "audio toolbox" is
    tantamount to Flash without vectors.
I strongly encourage Adobe to expand ActionScripter by adding
extended MIDI support. PLEASE give ActionScripters methods for
sending MIDI messages, such as NoteOn MIDI and continuous
controller streams such as pitch bend. And give us tools for
accessing an array of available MIDI synthesizers. Ideally Flash
Player and Flash Player plug-ins will host a flexible synthesizer,
but in the meantime, allow us to access the synths in QuickTime
player, QuickTime plug-in, WMP or Java.

  • Sending MIDI

How do i see what channels i am sending MIDI out from?. Basically I'm trying to update my Waldorf Blofeld and it looks like I'm sending data into Logic but it's not sending the update firmware back to the Blofeld? So i need to know if I'm sending on the correct channels?.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks

Set up the Waldorf in omni mode so you will be sure that the MIDI data will be received.

  • Sending MIDI from prg Ive written to Virtual Instr. on my computer

Anyone who can give me the few lines it takes to send the three bytes 144, 60 and 127 (chan1, midC, full volume) from my homemade prg to a Virtual Studio Technique Instr. on my computer? It seems that there is a lot more free code about how to receive and play MIDI than how to send MIDI to a commercial VSTI on ones computer.

  • Sending midi via Motif USB to Logic.

Can someone explain how to set up my Mac,Logic pro 9 & Motif es6 to send midi note messages to Logic? I just need to use my Motif as a midi controller.I downloaded the drivers on my Mac & hopefully it is there!
    Thanks.

If it is installed correctly then...
Open Logic, create a new project... add a software instrument track... (You can add a software instrument to that track to hear notes at this point too) select that track.. and just play notes on your Motif6  and look at the transport bar to see if those notes are being received by Logic... They will appear under Note In...
If midi notes are not received then the Motif is not being recognised correctly by your Mac.. (It's actually nothing to do with Logic itself.. it's OS Xand the drivers you installed that control everything) and so you need to check you installed the drivers correctly but normally, it's pretty much plug and play....

  • Sending MIDI from Logic to Motion

Motion (Apple's animation software) allows MIDI instructions to change animation parameters. I was wondering if anyone here has been successful in sending MIDI instructions from Logic to Motion and can take me through the steps to do so. (I have a related question over in the Motion forum.)
    Thanks in advance.

Take a look at "midipipe" and "midi patchbay" too.(free downloadables)
They're probably just front-ends for the IAC bus, but sometimes GUI is good.
Be wary when enabling virtual midi patches cause logic sums all inputs which can create a feedback loop. It seems to not hang my computer indefinately when it happens nowadays, just freeze it for a few seconds then give me a few seconds to fix it before freezing again for a while.
If your getting into realtime midi to graphics also check out "quartz composer" in the osx developer tools too.
..or "pure data" with GEM if your real brave.

  • Sending Midi Timecode to ETC Ion Lighting Console

    Hello,
I am not very experienced with MIDI at all, but I am helping to explore options for a project I am involved with.   Does anyone know if Audition 3.0 supports MIDI Show Control (MSC) or if there are any 3rd party plugins that add this functionality?
Basically, we are putting on a light show production in our city.  We want Audition to run the audio and lighting console.  The ETC Ion console can accept midi cues to trigger stop/go cues on the console but I believe it has to be a MSC setup, not just straight MIDI.
Another way to do this is if Audition sends the time code via MIDI we can run it that way. Does MIDI send a timecode?
Does any of this sound possible?
    Thanks,

In Mutlitrack mode Audition can send MIDI Timecode.

  • Midi support on Nokia 5000

    Hi all!
I have a collection of midi files from which I like to pick my ringtones. However many of these files will not play (apparently mostly the ones larger than 20KB in filesize). Can anybody tell me what restrictions apply when playing Midi on the Nokia 5000? Or is there a way to make these files playable?
    Cheers,
     Edmund

    Hi,
I think that there is no Messaging support for Nokia 6155. (Maybe you should get contact to Nokia and ask them to add it..)

  • N85 can't send files to Non-Nokia Devices

pls help, i had to reformat my N85 due to a virus which cause my phone to auto browse.  After which i can not anymore send files to non-nokia phones thru bluetooth but i am able to receive.  I can even pair with non-nokia devices but i just CANT SEND OUT FILES (my phone says....NO BLUETOOTH DEVICES AVAILABLE) what could be the problem?

    Hi Reuben
The Firewall does and doesn't need fine tuning.
In 10.5 it was not implemented properly and the 10.5.1 update was supposed to care of that.
It allowed everything in no matter what setting you chose.
It is best then that if you set Allow Specifics before the update that you clear the list and set it back to Allow All before going back and Resetting the Allow Specifics and adding apps back.
It may pay to check ports in a modem or router.
GoogleTalk logs in on port 5223 and uses an SSL login to do so.
Jabber also uses port 5220 for most other things.
    These are both TCP

  • Can the adjustment brush be set to mask for highlights, mid tones, or shadows individually?

I am a recent convert from Apple Aperture, where one can brush adjustment masks onto an images highlights, mid tones, or shadows individually.  Can this be done in Lightroom?  It makes adjustments around trees, for instance, so easy to do precisely...
    Thanks!
    g2

The answer to your question is:
No. (masking based on specified tonal range(s) is not supported).
And, yes - auto-masking brush is tone-sensitive and will mask, to some extent, based on tone (also color, I think, and who knows what else.. - it doesn't work very well in my opinion).
If this does not sufficiently answer your question, then perhaps you need to elaborate and clarify the question.

  • Unable to send midi from Mainstage out to Rewire applications

I can't seem to find out how to send midi out from Mainstage to other applications, such as Reason.
I created an external instrument channel strip, but in the midi out -box out the channel strip I can only see the physical midi output from my audio interface. The Rewire application should be visible here as an option, shouldn't it - or is there another way to send midi out from Mainstage to be able to play for example Reason instruments with Mainstage? Any ideas what might be wrong? I have Reason open and it seems to be working as a Rewire slave as it should, but somehow it isn't visible as a midi port in Mainstage.

Hey Malmberg, I was able to get this to work by doing the following steps:
Opened Mainstage and my Mainstage concert file first
Then opened Reason (I only have the demo)
Selected a patch I wanted to use in Mainstage to Reason
Clicked + to create a new Ext channel strip
In the MIDI Out box, I used the dropdown list and choose Reason (see image)
It could be that the sequence you used so open MS first, then Reason
