I have videos on my iPod that my friend wants to use for her wedding video, but they're too big to send via email. How can I transfer these videos to my computer?

I sent a video I made on my comp0uter to my blackberry via windows media player. When I go to show it on my phone it tells me that "this video portion of the media being played uses an unsupported format". I have a media card in the phone. Is there any fix to this?

So what's the format of the video?

  • With newer MacBook Air, sending both video and audio to an LG TV works fine, but I want to send the audio to a sound bar attached to the TV.  Any way to do this?

I am trying to get audio to play through the soundbar attached to the TV for great sound.  Works fine with Apple TV, but on the MacBook Air, system preferences will only find the TV speakers.  If I change the settings on the TV to external speakers (the soundbar), then I get no sound at all.  The HDMI connection does what it is supposed to do, providing video and audio, but the audio can only go to the TV.  I don't know if you can go backward and send only video through HDMI and then connect to the soundbar through the mini jack ports on the computer and the soundbar.  Any solutions will be appreciated.

its important to do this in the correct order so the camera will be senced by the Mac and to prevent the Firewire connection from electrical damage:
    power down your Mac
connect firewire from camera to Mac
power on camera and insert tape in camera and play back
    power up Mac
    start QuickTime
File > Preferences > record tab
video source - select the camera you have
sound source - select the camera you have
    quality - select device native
the video should show in the QuicTime window
a  green line below video will show presence of sound-it will play through the speakers if they are selected in system prefernces
    rewind tape and playback
click on red button to start recording

  • I need to send a video in quick time, by videoing on my iphone is it automatically in quicktime

i need to send a video in quick time, by videoing on my iphone is it automatically in quicktime

This means it was transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process. No other way for the video to be where it is located unless it was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store direct with your iPhone.
If no longer available on your computer and not purchased from the iTunes store, there are 3rd party paid apps/utilities that provide for transferring this in the opposite direction.

  • How to send a video to apple support

Before I contact apple support or while I am communicating with apple support, I would like to send a video of my (problem) screen because it is easier to see what is going on than it is to explain.

Unfortunately, they do not have an e-mail address except for specific online services.     What you may want to do is find an authorized service center nearby and bring the computer to them.   Apple's website http://www.apple.com/contact/ lists which services have online e-mail forms, and here are their support phone numbers.   Depending on your country, http://www.apple.com/xx/buy will be the link to your country's search engine to find an authorized service center.    xx is the two letter code for all non-USA countries used when you switch to your country's website for Apple using the country link on the bottom of http://www.apple.com/
So http://www.apple.com/ca/buy would be Canada's link.

  • HT4237 i want to send a video from iPhone but resolution is poor

please help me everytime i send a video message via my iphone the reciever gets a low quality pixelated video please help/

    Hello Mark,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when sending a video from your iPhone.
When sending a video using email, iMessage, or MMS on your iPhone, the quality of the video will be reduced so that the message can be transmitted.  If you need to share the video with a higher resolution, you can upload your video to YouTube, which will support the HD resolution:
When sharing your finished iMovie video via email, iMessage, or MMS (iPhone 4 or later), the Camera Roll scales down and compresses the video in order to improve upload performance. If you exported your movie from iMovie in HD resolution when sharing to YouTube, you can select whether to share a standard definition or HD version of the video.
Regardless of how you share your finished movie, the original full-resolution version remains in the Camera Roll, and you can transfer this version back to your computer when you connect your device. To do this, follow the guidelines in Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer.

  • Send screen video & audio directly to HandyCam?

Trying to record a slideshow to my Handycam & the best I've been able to come up with is to burn it to a dvd & then play it back into the Handycam. Is there a way to do it directly?

Several. Some of your options depend on which HandyCam you are using.
In the most general case, you can purchase the appropriate converters to connect to the external monitor connection and headphone out to connect to the analog input on your camcorder. What you chose would depend on the model and it's inputs of course (you'd want to use the best option). Which still analog, the video will come out superior to the Mac -> DVD -> DV option as it removes a data compression and an analog conversion step from the process.
The models that use mini-DV tapes will permit you to "print-to-video". This can be done with Final Cut Express, MacCaption, Adobe Premiere, and maybe others. In that scenario, you'd capture the audio and video on the computer to a file (say and MP4), and then use one of the tools to send a scaled down version to the DV tape over FireWire. You'll lose resolution in the scaling of the video, of course, but you can't help that (DV is only 720x480 pixels).
If you HandyCam is a memory-card model, you simply need to save the video in the appropriate format and resolution to the card. Generally, this would be either MPEG2 or MPEG4.

  • I have a new Mac Mini, and I want to send raw video...

I have a new Mac Mini (Lion), and I want to send raw video to the Internet, using Ustream, Skype or other services. I don't need cameras, microphones, or other periphrals. My video consists of 1 volt composite (from a video switcher), and the audio is full stereo at 600 ohm line level on each channel. What do I need?
I have a video capture card on my Windows machine; but the results have been crappy at best. And the so-called "Geek Squad" at Best Buy (where I bought the Mac Mini) have been less than helpfull. Further, the on-line Apple Store shows nothing. Maybe someone here has an idea.

You are going to need a video capture device of some sort and I believe the following will be suitable.

It is available in the US as well http://www.elgato.com/elgato/na/mainmenu/products/Video-Capture/product1.en.html

Buy another hard drive.  They're cheap these days.
In fact, buy a couple of 'em.  I recommend a minimum of five internal hard drives.

  • When I take a picture with my IPhone and send it to my home computer, why do the pictures turn sideways or upside down (it's an HP windows computer)

When I take a picture with my IPhone and send it to my home computer (HP Windows) why does the picture turn out sideways or upside down?

OK, here's the explanation.  When you take a picture, the iPhone knows what orientation it is in (portrait, landscape, etc.) and adds that information to the picture's EXIF data so it knows which side is up.  Apple devices can decode this information and show the picture right side up when it is viewed.  However, Windows computers cannot do this.  They are not capable of decoding the orientation information added by the iPhone, so they are displayed in a default orientation (which may not be right side up).
This only happens on Windows machines, and unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it, except use the rotation buttons in Windows picture view to orient the photo correctly.

  • How do I move my personal videos to my computer?

I'm at a loss right now. I'm not good with Apple products. I had a Motorola Atrix 2 that my toddler smashed. Thankfully, I was able to back up my personal videos (kids' birthdays, holidays, day-to-day activities) onto my Windows 7 pc. Recently, my computer was acting up so I backed up said videos to my iPhone 4s in order to wipe the computer clean. My pc is now running properly and I'm ready to move my videos back onto my computer. This is where the issue comes in. The iPhone 4s shows the personal videos of my family under the "Videos" section on the actual phone. However, when I pull it up in iTunes, it lists them under "Movies." When I connect the iPhone 4s to the Windows 7 computer, only 1 video (a random video I shot to test the iPhone 4s' features) shows as available to "import." The other 97 videos don't show up on my computer. I tried viewing the iPhone 4s files on my computer (computer>iPhone>internal storage) but, still, only the 1 video is listed. I tried using various email clients and the actual email providers' webpages to add the videos as attachments but the videos aren't listed as available files to attach. How do I get my personal videos back?

    Thanks for your reply.
Just to make sure I understand, you can transfer photos/videos from a computer to an iPhone but you can't transfer photos/videos from an iPhone to a computer?
*perhaps "backup" was poor word choice on my part. I did a simple transfer from my computer to the iPhone and the videos show and play on the iPhone, I just can't move them anywhere.

  • I want to play video on my computer to make some analysis to frames, the problem that I face ,I can't change video frame rate using labview, but I can change frame rate to the video out of labview using some program

    HI All
I want to play video on my computer to make some analysis to it's frames, the problem that I face ,I can't change video frame rate using labview, but I can change frame rate to the video out of labview using some program .
I used IMAQ AVI Read Frame VI
for example I have avi video It's frame rate is 25 fbs ,my image processing code is very fast that can process more 25 fbs,so I want to accelerate video acquisition

    Hi abdelhady,
I looked into this further, and reading an AVI file into LabVIEW faster than its frames per second won't be possible. LabVIEW could read in frames faster than 25fps, but because it will be pulling the available frame at that point in time this would just give you duplicate frames. If you want to be able to read in frames at faster than 25fps, you would need to speed up your AVI file before reading into LabVIEW.
There's a good shipping example to show how to read in from an AVI file, "Read AVI File.vi". You'll notice that they add timing to make sure that the while loop runs at the right speed to match up with the frames per second of the file being read. This is to make sure you're not reading duplicate frames.

  • When using Firefox Sync on multiple devices, I used to be able to 'send' a tab from one computer to another. Is this still possible? If so, how?

When using Firefox Sync on multiple devices, I used to be able to 'send' a tab from one computer to another. Is this still possible? If so, how?
I don't mean the ability to see what tabs are open on another device (I know how to do this). But if I am at work and find something that I want to read at home, it would be helpful to 'send' the tab to my home PC so that when I return home, it will automatically open that tab for me.

    Can anyone help?

  • Blank message when I send a video via a text message

I got a replacement iPhone 4s last week.  Whenever I try and send a video (shot using the phone) via text message, the recipient (who uses an iPhone) gets a blank message, but are able to get pictures?  Do I need to check certain settings?

I would say the carrier is compressing the file to send. Since the two of you are on Verizon, they might not do it on their system, but when they cross systems, (AT&T) they compress for reducing bandwidth. Why don't you send via iMessage?
