Sending of FAX

Hi Experts,
We are trying to send a FAX using RFC using third party vendor RIGHT FAX to 10 different FAX numbers.
We need to send a letter with some fix texts & few variable values .
How will the letter be formated and how will it go to different end users ?
Any relevant documentation would be helpful.

Sending FAX means it s nothing but sending some Output to the external partner
So similar to scripts/smartforms design the Output form with the relative data and use an Output type with proper output device (fax) similar to sending a PO to a vendor using the Medium 2 (FAX).
Configure the settings in SPAD and take the help of a Basis person and if needed try to use the same logic as that of a Std driver program of a script or smartform.

we have a fax server that is working almost fine for everyone but one specific user, whenever she tries to send a fax from her client computer, after dialing and when it says Transmitting...a Fatal Error comes up,, Event

I did all the suggested actions by Microsoft and other people in the forum, no luck
today i tried something else, send a fax with same user on another client computer...same error
so this is a user problem..i checked all the permissions and FAX USERS group, it is the same like others
please help!!

For Event ID 32028, please refer to following article and check if can help you to troubleshoot this issue.

Meanwhile, please open Registry Editor and follow the path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Fax folder when the problematic user account logon, then compare with other user accounts which can be used to send fax as normal. Any difference?

In your printers folder on your computer, is the default printer set to your printer, or your printer- fax?

How do I use my networked HP Officejet to send a fax from my Macbook Pro?

I have a Macbook Pro which I use in my office running OS X 10.7. We have a networked HP Officejet 6500 E710n-z. Ideally, I would like to be able to fax directly from Microsoft Word using this printer using the Fax PDF option. However, I cannot seem to figure out how to do this. In order to send and receive a fax you need a fax machine connected to a phone line. What you are likely seeing is an efax. There are many efax services, some free. Efax allows you to send and receive faxes to your computer without using a fax machine or phone line. Using efax you can send a fax to a fax machine connected to a phone line.
Do a search for efax.

Can I send a fax direct from scanning

I recently bought a HP Photosmart 7510 and have now used up the "Setup" cartridges. I have purchased 4 cartridges and am awaiting the Photo black cartridge.
It would seem that until I replace the cartridge, I cannot get to the home screen. Which means I can't send a fax. I was wondering if there is a way round this?

Unfortunately, that ink cartridge would have to be replaced in order to get that message to disappear and get the home screen to return.

how do I send a fax ? Each time I try I receive a 'Print' 'error while printing' message.

Just to make sure, this is how the process of faxing from Word is supposed to work, in general terms:

Create and save a Word document. You'll need a saved file on your computer before you're able to fax it.

In Microsoft Word, you can use the Fax Wizard to fax your Word document if you have Word and an Internet connection capable of doing so.

Click "File," then "Send To," then "Fax Recipient." This should open up a Fax Wizard window separate from the window of the document.

Follow the onscreen instructions of the Fax Wizard. If your computer is not capable of sending faxes, the Wizard will indicate this.

Enter the file, recipients' names and numbers and information from your coversheet. Click "Finish" at the bottom of the window.

If your computer is for some reason not capable of using the Microsoft Fax Wizard, you'll need to download a different Internet fax program from the Web.

Output: Send a fax to a predefined fax number, not coming from customer ma

Hi colleagues,
I have the following requirement.
In the delivery a special output should be sent to a FIX FAX numer of a special vendor. This means not to the fax number from the current customer.
Is this possible somehow?
Everything is set up: Output type, determination, printing program and the fax is working already.
But how can I set up the condition record to use a special fax number?
One idea was to use a special partner function with the a partner inside that has the special fax number. Due to different reasons this is not possible...
Any idea?

Dear Jens,
THe issue is you want to send output (Fax) to Vendor (partner) other than your Customer.
For this go to VV21 & enter Customer Code, Partner function & Vendor number is Partner Column. This would ensure that for above Customer the output would go to the Vendor code mentioned in Partner column.
Now Select the line item & Click on Communication button & enter the Output details here...
This would solve your problem.

How do I send a fax using Word for Mac Lion?

I have an iMac with Lion 10.7.4 and use Microsoft Word for Mac 2011. My internet connection is Broadband ADSL.
I wish to periodically send a fax - in days gone by I have used PageSender.
Any suggestions?

Can you send a fax over that line? I don't think so. I think you'll have to purchase a fax modem, maybe like this one:

I assume it installs a "printer" that is actually a fax driver. You would then print to that "printer". Whether that's how it works or not, I'm sure the fax modem comes with some utility for sending faxes through it.

Hello everybody. I'm new to Macs and I would like to know how to send a fax from my iMac without using a fax machine. Many thanks.

You will need something like an external Apple USB modem for your new iMac. They are relatively inexpensive, I believe around US$50 in price and physically small (you could let it just dangle off the back of your computer or use a small velcro strip to secure it to the backside). That will need to attach to a plain ol' telephone service (POTS) analog copper twisted pair line. I'm also making the assumption that Apple offers an equivalent product that is compatible with your country's telephone fax protocols, line voltages, and so forth. I recall one thread in this forum where an individual reported being able to fax over a VoIP adapter, but generally speaking, I do not believe that that is the norm. Once you have your Apple USB modem plugged into one of your iMac's USB ports and the other end plugged into the RJ-11 telephone jack that your analog phone service arrives on (at least the RJ-11 is the standard telephone connector type here in the US), then all you need to do is go through the motions of printing a document. In the print dialog box, there is a button in the lower left that says PDF. You click on it and you are presented with several other options, one being fax PDF. Click on that, fill in the phone number, and other miscellaneous information that would be associated with a very "plain Jane" cover sheet (that you yourself normally won't see, unless you see the fax at the receiving end at a later time), you hit the Fax button and away it goes.

GO to the control panel and check which printer is listed as the default printer. Most likely this is the J5780 (fax) instead of the J5780. Right click the correct printer icon and choose "use a default" to correct it.

Faxing with Tiger. sending same fax to multiple recipients

I have a G4 titanium notebook and just upgraded to Tiger. Under Panther, when I sent faxes, I would be able to just type the first few letters and the discription and fax number would come up and it would fax without problems. Now when I do this under Tiger, the fax number and the description will come up, but it will not fax unless I remove all of the letters from the fax number. Also, I often have to send the same fax to multiple numbers at the same time. Under Panther, it was a snap, just put all the number in the same line separated by a comma and the fax would be sent to as many numbers as possible. Under Tiger, it will only send to the first number listed. Why did they make the fax program less functional on the upgraded OS?

Are you using a Fax program within Tiger? I have been using FaxStfPro made by
Smith Micro, and now with Tiger, OS10.4.8 operating with DSL, I find i cannot send a fax unless I get a separate phone line with filter to connect to my Power Book G4. That is not an easy solution here because of wiring distance.
If a Fax program existed within Tiger that could be used even with DSL, that would solve my problem. What is Mac Fax? I have not heard of it before,
Any guidance you might provide would be greatly appreciated.
