Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server m...

I am sick to death of having to reset my password on a daily basis, sometimes twice a day. I have wasted hours of my time talking to tech support, All they want to do is guide me through resetting my password, I know how to do that, after all I have only done it thirty times. The last person I spoke to blamed Firefox, Which is odd as I am using Outlook.
The tech support is nothing short of abysmal, When I call I get an endless `We are very busy at the moment`, So I am not busy, and can waste hours of my time trying to get my service fixed. Come on BT, Get it fixed, And remember I am paying you for something that does not work.

Tom
couldn't agree more! Although my email has worked fine for the last few weeks before then it was, as you know, a pain to say the least having to constantly reset the password. Migration is supposed to cure all these ills but I have not yet been migrated - 4 months after having had an email to say that I was about to be migrated!!
Like many people I check this forum only occasionally but when I have a problem I tend to check it more often - the reason I saw your post. Just this morning I got the dreaded message that my password was not recognised. What I have learned from bitter experience is that if you go to Yahoo mail and log on there and then come back to your normal bt mail then this often resolves the incorrect password problem and you will not have to reset it. I hope that this might be of some help to you.
Mistakes and embarrasing goofs in e-mails are only discovered when you've sent them!

  • Cannot access my email, Sending of password did not succeed. Authentication failed.

Was able to use my Thunderbird Mozilla email on both computers and then suddenly on both I rc'd msg that, "Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server incoming Verizon.net responded Authentication Failed".
On the computer that I use all the time, I played around with it and all of a sudden it was "fixed". No idea what I did.
Today I turned on the other computer that is only used by the Grandkids for games, etc., and received the same msg and decided it was time to fix but am not able to figure out how.

Best starting point is to remove all stored passwords for the affected accounts.

Use the filter at the top to locate all entries relating to the affected account.

  • Error msg: Sending of password for user did not succeed. Mail server responded: Not enough disk space - what's the deal?

I've been checking my email via webmail for a week and am back in the office today. Fired up Thunderbird, expecting it to pick up all my email, but it gets nothing and tells me…
Sending of password for user [email protected] did not succeed. Mail server pop.ipower.com responded: Not enough disk space
Haven't seen this particular error message come up in searches via google and at mozilla. There's definitely disk space on my machine. I'm running TB on a Mac (OSX 10.6.8). Disk Space options under Preferences > Advanced let me assign up to 1024 mb for the cache, which I've done, and cleared.
Has anyone encountered this before? Got a solve/troubleshooting process? Thanks!

Thanks. I do compact regularly (TB prompts me to) and did it (several times) via Preferences today to try and get TB past this error message.
Also went thru and Trashed + Empty Trashed as many messages as possible from the inbox, just in case. Still no-go.

  • Crystal Report 2008 results "Password did not match error" in SQL Server Log

    Hi,
I am trying to develop some crystal reports using Crystal Report 2008 SP4 to connect to SQL server 2008 through RDO (ODBC). My problem is that anytime Crystal Report is trying to establish a connection with SQL Server, first it tries to connect with the wrong password and results the following error message in SQL Server log:
Login failed for user 'peyman'. Reason: Password did not match that for the login provided. [CLIENT: 192.168.2.198]
The login name 'peyman' is the right one as I have quoted the same in setting up ODBC System DSN using "SQL Server Native Client 10". But somehow Crystal Report is taking its chance and trying to connect before prompting me for the password. After this error logged to SQL server side, I can see Crystal Report pops up the prompt to enter DSN password. After supplying password to this prompt, Crystal Report works fine and pulls the data and renders the report without having any more incorrect password error logged to SQL Server.
The attached file shows the step I am taking to regenerate the issue. I need this to be fixed as anytime uses any of these reports and tries to render it with crystal runtime engine the same error message raises in SQL Server side and logged in the log file.
    Thanks,

    Hi Peyman,
This is the way it should work, In CR designer when you open the report it does nothing. As soon as you hit the Refresh button then CR tries to use the connection saved with the report. It assumes what is saved with the report is a valid server and connection info. CR simply tries to verify the server is still active.
If you don't want it to fail in CRD then before opening any report Click the File, Log on Database option and connect. Now when refreshing reports it won't log the failed.
In the SDK it does the same thing, it assumes the Server info is the same and does try to connect to verify the Server does exist. It only takes a few milli-seconds to do this
To stop this from happening set the log on info first then it won't log the attempt to connect, it's checking to see if Trusted is allowed.

Notice it doesn't try to connect first if I set the log on info first using code.
So nothing we can do to stop SQL server from logging this info. Check with the DBA, possibly they can "filter" out the application attempts to connect or change your work flow in the app.
If you have a Preview Button to view the report then simply add your Database log on info prompt there if Connectioninfo.Trusted is not true:
    mainSecureDB = rpt.Database.Tables[tableIndex].LogOnInfo.ConnectionInfo.IntegratedSecurity;
if mainSecureDB = false then prompt the user for log on info and set accordingly, if it is true the it should not fail when it connects.
This is simply a matter of changing your App work flow...
    Thanks

    Hi nikp11,
According to your description, you recently updated SQL Server 2008 R2 to SP3, Report Builder doesn’t work since then the error occurs: "Application validation did not succeed. Unable to continue".
This is an known issue in SSRS 2008 R2 SP3 that Microsoft has published an article addressing this issue. It is not planning to release a fix for this issue. But we could implement one of the following workarounds:
Install and run Report Builder 3.0 of SQL Server 2008 R2 RTM.
Install and run Report Builder of SQL Server 2014.
Uninstall Service Pack 3 then uninstall Service Pack 2 and then reinstall Service Pack 3.
    Reference:
Report Builder of SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 3 does not launch
    Thank you for your understanding.
    Best Regards,

  • The restor pocess did not succeed because your computer cannot connect to the server - Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials Experience

    Hi all
I've been running Windows Server 2012 R2 with the Essentials Experience in test for a Windows 8.1 client environment, on an HP ProLiant MicroServer N54L. Overall I've found the Essential Experience set-up over WHS2011 and WHSv1 okay; still looking to extract
any real value over the former versions.
This box has been up and running for a few months now, with client backups of a Win 8.1 box scheduled and running successfully every day. However when trying to conduct any file restores from the backups, to the client, I receive an error dialog once I go
    through motions from the Dashboard:
On the 'Devices' tab, right-click the appropriate client and select 'Restore files or folders for the computer'
'Restore Files of Folders' dialog pops up, asking me to 'Choose a backup' from the list of all the backups that have run
Select any one in the list - have tried numerous backups; automatic, manual, etc. same result every time
Brings up the dialog to 'Choose a volume', choose either C: or D: partitions of the same fixed drive - again, no difference which one I choose, the outcome is the same
'Opening the volume' dialog starts, with progress bar, runs to about 4% complete the pops up the dialog 'The restore process did not succeed'. Full error in the dialog, "The restore process did not succeed because your computer cannot connect to the
server. Make sure that the computer is connected to the networkm and then try again
If my computer cannot connect to the server - how can I get that far? How can I open the dashboard, select a client, select from a list of backups, select a volume to restore, etc. What is going on here?

    Hi,
Please check if a "host" entry for the server is added to the client. For more detailed information, please refer to the threads below:

  • 2012 R2 Essentials - Client Restore Service installation did not succeed.

I have setup the computer backups successfully and I have verified that the workstations are creating the client backups. The issue I have now is trying to setup the Client Restore Service. Initially, it said I was missing the ADK which was expected since
it was a fresh install so I used the link and it downloaded the ADK for Windows 8.1.
Now when I try to setup the Client Restore Service in the wizard, after I click on Start it updates the status to "Customizing WinPE images..." and after 5 minutes, I get the following error:
Client Restore Service installation did not succeed.
Cannot customize the client restore image.
The specified image file did not contain a resource section.
If I click on Start to begin the process again, and I browse to the C:\Windows\Temp folder, I can see the two mounted folders for the customizing process:
    C:\Windows\Temp:
GenBmrWinPETempPath: 8096c353-79cb-4d74-ae8d-3c287fdb735c : which remains empty and removes after failure.
GenBmrWinPEMountPath: c32700c9-7391-4caf-9a7e-af420e96d327 : mounted WIM with directory structure but removes after failure when it unmounts.
During the process, I also see the boot.wim in the following folder, "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Server\Data\ClientRestore\8.100.25984_8.100.25984_6.3.9600.16384\0409\sources", with a filesize of 172,644KB.
the GenBmrState.xml file contains the following information:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><GenBmrJobExecutionInfo xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"><Status>Idle</Status><LastStage>CustomizeWinPE</LastStage><OemImagesExist>false</OemImagesExist><AdkReady>true</AdkReady><ImageReady>false</ImageReady><MediaReady>false</MediaReady><WdsImageDeployed>false</WdsImageDeployed><Results><GenBmrJobResultPair><Key>Wds</Key><Value><Failed>true</Failed><Reason>CustomizeImageFailed</Reason><AdditionalErrorCode>0</AdditionalErrorCode><AdditionalErrorMessage>The
specified image file did not contain a resource section.
    </AdditionalErrorMessage></Value></GenBmrJobResultPair></Results></GenBmrJobExecutionInfo>
Does anyone know how to fix the "The specified image file did not contain a resource section" error?

Thank you for your reply! Hopefully answering your questions will provide further input! I did look over the article you linked but that is the same procedure I followed except I receive the error after the ADK is installed and I click on the Start button
which says it is "Customizing WinPE Images..."

    2. Yes, I have rebooted many times and the problem still persists.
    3. Yes, the WinPE-Setup.cab file does exist!

    Any ideas?

Re-keying issue? I dunno. The manual mentions Phase 1, and your log points to Phase 2, but maybe it's worth a shot.
"Re-keying of Phase 1: Not currently supported. Recommend that re-keying times on
the server be set to approximately one hour."
Incidentally, how do you get logs off of the iPad?

  • Oops! The email or password did not match our records. Please try again.

On Sunday March 30, 2014 I was trying to purchase a new computer from the Best Buy website. I added the computer to my cart and clicked checkout. I was asked to log into my best buy account and after clicking sign it I was informed that I need to update my password. I created a new password and it took me back to MyBestBuy page. I clicked on the shopping cart again and clicked checkout. It again asked me to log in to my account. This time I was given an error: Oops! The email or password did not match our records. Please try again.  I changed my password two more times after that and still had the same problem.
I finally called Best Buy and the lady I talked with sent me a reset password request which did not work. She informed her supervisor and was told there are issues with the website and ordering online.  She tried to order the items in my cart and could not proceed as well.
I was then transfer to the Sales department where Jacqueline assisted me in getting my order purchased. She also sent me a request to reset my password but it is still having the same problem. I change the password and the next time I log it I get the following error: Oops! The email or password did not match our records. Please try again.
The worst part about this whole experience was on Wednesday 04-02 I received an email from Best Buy that stated Please call us, there is a problem with you order. I called the 1800 number listed on the email and spoke with an associate who informed me the reason for the email was I did not have sufficient fund for the purchase that I made today. The problem: I did not make any purchase on 04-02. The associate asked if I would like to be transfer to the fraud department and I said yes. The woman that I spoke with was very polite and we cancelled my account and I have a new card on the way.  (I forgot to mention that I used by Best Buy Credit Card)
I think that there is a serious issue with your website and because of the problem my credit card information was stolen.
I have been a loyal best buy shopper buying all of my electronic from TV's, cellphones, computers, movies, etc. After this experience I have lost my confidence in your website and it ability to keep my information safe.
    P.S. I have already tried:
Logging out of the Best Buy website
    Cleared Catche
    Tried a differnet browser

    Hello KC-2537,
    Welcome to the forum!
I can’t begin to imagine how terrifying it’d be to discover an unrecognized purchase on your account, and I’m sorry for any frustration this caused. We take your privacy very seriously which is why you were asked to create a new password when you attempted to log into your account to purchase the computer you wanted. Recently, we’ve implemented a new and stronger security measure that asks our customers to choose more intricate passwords for their www.BestBuy.com accounts. It sounds like your previous password didn’t meet these new requirements and as we wanted to make sure your information is as safe as possible, we asked you to reset it. However, it certainly wasn’t our intention to lock you out of your own account.
After looking through your account using the email address attached the forum, I’m glad to see that the computer Jacqueline assisted you with ordering was delivered to your local store earlier this week. However, I’m worried about your account if it is still locked. As I want to make sure you are able to access this, I’ve sent you an email to reset your password that you should receive shortly. • Move operation did not succeed

    Hi!
Trying to get Qmaster working but having some issues. The closest I have is ending up with "move operation did not succeed" and a file that contains the last 10 frames..
Well, my setup. Tried different things but right now I have 2 machines, 1 is running Shake and the other one is running a QuickCluster. Only thing I have done with the Quickcluster setup is that I have changed the cluster storage to a different local drive.
On the Shake machine I have the script with all the files in a folder on a mediadrive that is read/write for everyone that wants it - this drive is mounted on the Quickcluster. The only naming convention for the mediafile paths that work in the script is /Volume/mediadrive/path to files. The file out node is also pointing to the same folder on the shared drive.
So, well, when I submitt the batch to the QuickCluster it starts working but complains about "move operation did not succeed". The test script is 30 frames and it splits that up on to 3x10 threads. I end up with a file that includes the last 10 frames..
    Any1 got any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Lars Petter

You need shake on every node in the cluster. That move operation did not succeed is actually harmelss from what I can tell. If you are using Shake and doing QT FileOut nodes, and you don't have Shake installed on all the machines I can see how you ended up with a 10 frame file.
Check /Library/Logs/Qmaster/service/com.apple.qmaster.executor*.log and see what the error is.

Restore it on the same computer it was last synced to. This will remove the passcode.
