Sending "on demand-files" from SAP
Hi gurus,
this is a scenario on which im workin on: SAP - PI 7.0 - Fileserver (RFCtoFTP)
my customer wants to indicate in the RFC some parameters and depending on them, access to some files located in some folders of the fileserver or others files in other directories...Them, to populate the content of these files to SAP via RFC.
In order to do this, the RFC should be a SYNCHRONOUS RFC (sRFC) but FILE adapter does not support synchronous exchange.
Do you guys know how to meet these requirements and which adapters to use??
I would prefer not using BPM as there are lots of interfaces running on it.
Thanks a lot in advance and best regards,
david

Can we send .csv file from sap srm system to sap pi?
Hi Experts,
we have 3 options send the data from sap systems to sap pi.i. e.proxy, idoc and rfc only
How can we send .csv file from sap srm to sap pi?
Regards,
AnjanAnjan
As you know SAP SRM and SAP PI are different boxes.
*_Option 1:_*
we need a shared AL11 directory in between SAP SRM and SAP PI (Ask basis to setup shared folder). Place / Populate the file in the folder from SAP SRM and then it can be picked through sender file communication channel.
In this case you (Basis team) will share one folder which is visible from the AL11 transaction of both the systems (SRM and PI). You will drop .csv file using some report or program from SRM at this location and from PI you can read that file using File communication channel (NFS mode).
Option 2:
Setup a FTP at SRM environment and expose some folder which can be accessible from PI. Use sender file communication channel at PI end to pick the file.
You can use this option incase sharing of folder is not possible (due to network / other constrains). Here FTP server is required to expose any folder as FTP so as it can be accessible from internet (remote location). You need to expose some folder at SRM machine. You will drop .csv file using some report or program from SRM at this location. Now PI can fetch the file from that location using sender file communication channel (FTP Mode) providing user credentials.
Hope it clears now.

Send binary files from SAP System to SAP XI/PI
Dear experts,
in our SAP ERP-System we have a link to JPG files which are stored in an archive. We want to send these files with some other information to our SAP XI and then store them on a file server. Is there a way to send a MIME attachment via RFC? Or is there another way to send binary files from SAP ERP to SAP XI? We want to avoid polling the files on OS level.
Thanks and regards,
DavidMost recommended way is to go for ABAP proxies. They support attachments.

Send files from SAP ECC5.0 to websphere MQ
Hi
What I need or use (ABAP) for sending files from SAP ECC5.0 to Websphere MQ. I've been reading post but mention PI/XI .
Thanks in advanceThe Question is not so clear on how you are intergrating between SAP and Websphere.
But just incase if you are using WebSphere MQ Integrator(WMQI) SAP IDOC solutions are preferred. You can probably send idocs from SAP. -

In addition to all above, following configs to be present at ABAP application server: -
1. The hostname used to URL should be present in SAP ABAP application server's 'hosts' file.
2. Security certificate (if available) for URL to be called must be installed in SAP ABAP application server.

Uploading an XML file from SAP into third party URL
Hi,
I need to Upload an XML file from sap into Third party URL. Can any body tell me the possible ways in SAP to achieve this task. Also explain me the proceedure.
Thanks in advance.
-NamdevSorry. If they only said HTTP/HTTPS and didn't say explicitly web service, it means they don't want it.
One thing I'm not sure is, do you have an URL at the third-party system that you need to contact, or should you provide one at your SAP system that they will contact?
If it is the first one, to send an HTTP request to a given URL using ABAP, you'll find an example here: [SAP Library: Example Program: Executing an HTTP Request|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/1f/93163f9959a808e10000000a114084/frameset.htm]

How to store multiple files from SAp in to Application server?
Hi Guys,
Can anybody tell me how to store multiple files from SAP into Application server.in my application i have to get the data from SAP tables BSEG , BKPF , BSAK and BSIK that to daily i have to do.
Any Logic or Code for how to do is welcomed.
plz help me urgently.
Thanks,
GopiHi,
directories creates basis. If you have task to store data in application server you already should have information into which folder you have to do it. If you don't have this information because it is just for example training for next task then you can use your personal folder into which you have access. To get list of all available folders please look at attached code and form get_directories (you get the list of folders you see in transaction AL11). But don't forget: If you are using open dataset you have to have rights to access application folder!
Here you are code which I use to upload text files from local disc into application folder

Karol

How to transfer file from sap server to PDM server using open FT??
Hello Sap Guru's
I want to Trasfer a file with all supplier information from SAP server to PDM server(Thirdparty) system Using Open FT ..How can I transfer ???
Please let me know the answer??
Thanks In Advance
PreethiHi Preethi,
I think it is not possible to transfer a file from SAP to PDM using open FT.
Using RFCs, we can do the transfer.
Other option is the file can be downloaded into UNIX. And from there using a shellscript we can transfer the file from UNIX to PDM or if your PDM has the option to grab the file from UNIX that will also work.
Hope this helps.
Please reward if helpful.
Thanks,

Hi,
We have JPEG files (pictures) stored in Custom Z table (Cluster table). We would like to know how to print these files from SAP on to a certain printer.
We know that it is not possible to convert JPEG to BMP within SAP and print using SAPScript OR SmartForms.
We want to find out if there is any print command to print these files to SAP printer ?
Any help is appreciated.
NiranjanHi Gregory,
I had checked this tcode earlier. However, I don't see any 'Print' jpeg or any other file functionality here. What SAP might be doing here is, allow upload of any document like excel, word or pic files (jpeg, gihf, bmp) and so on and just display.
I am interested in printing functionality without usng SAP Script OR Smartforms, because, when we get into it, we have to talk only TIF or BMP as JPGs are not supported.

Error when opening PDF files from SAP.
Hi Gurus
I have posted this question in ABAP Development section also. Please read the below text.
We are having a strange intermittent problem with Adobe Reader. When we try to open PDF files from SAP Frontend we get an error pop-up. The pop-up does not have any text. The title of the pop-up has "Adobe Reader". There is a blue question mark and an OK button.
This issue occurs few times a day in Windows Vista.
This issue does not occur in Windows XP.
Since past few weeks, we have been trying to find some error/warning/atleast some text in log files of SAP, OS, Adobe Reader, Registry entries, Event Viewer. So far, we have not found anything.
SAP is not able to help as this issue occurs intermittently and said when they tried, the issue did not occur. They made two attempts and in each attempt they tried 10 times to reproduce the issue. This issue occurs intermittently.
Environment
SAP R/3 4.7 EE SAP_Basis 620 Support Package 61
Windows Vista Enterprise
Adobe Reader 9.0 and Adobe Reader 9.1 (tried with both versions)
SAPGUI 710 Patch 12 (latest patch). It also occured in Patch 11.
Please suggest
Thank you
PavanNow I got to capture the screenshot, however not able to attach/upload here but it says:
'Reading Untagged Documents'
lets say i tried to open 6 page document then it said:
'This 6-page document is untagged and must be prepared for reading. While the document is being
analyzed, your assistive technology will not be able to interact with this application. '
then it asked for Reading options
then a checkbox for to confirm 'Always use the settings from the Reading Preferences (Do not show this dialog again)
then 'OK/START' and 'cancel' buttons
It seems, this is the problem with Adobe w.r.t Vista.
thanks
