Sending photos in mail

I have my own company I very often send some photos when I reply to an e-mail about my product. I usually use photo browser rather than an attachment .
lately when i drag the photo to where i wish to place it the photo will go to the very end of the quoted text i am replying to . i want the photo to be placed in my conversation not at the end of quoted text . This never happened before  anyone know how to change this  or why its happening
thanks Fran

You are so smart thank you so much .i have tried everything or at least I thought I did . I don't know how that got checked
I unchecked it and the photo went where I wanted.

  • How can I send photos in mail as attachments instead of in the body of the message?

I want to send photos as attachments to email instead of in the body of the message.  I have searched through preferenced in both mail and iPhoto but can find nothing that lets me do this.

    1. As Rysz says, Mail does send them as attachments. If seeing the preview is problematic for you, then right click on it in the Mail Message window and select 'Show as Icon'.
    2. If you're worried about how they are received... Mail defaults to sending RTF email. A few older applications on other OSes have problems with these. A lot of users on other OSes can't figure out how to set their Mail applications to work with them. If that's the problem, use Plain Text as Larry says.

  • IPhoto 9.6 bug while trying to send photos by mail

When I try to send photos via email directly from iphoto I have the following error message :
Votre message électronique n’a pas été transmis car le serveur n’a pas répondu. (Your email hasn't been sent because server didn't ansewer, check you internet connexion, etc...). Of course my internet connexion is working, so, has anyone ever had this bug ?

This solution is for those of you using 2-step verification for your Apple ID and are using iCloud as the mail server that you are trying to mail photos with.
I too had this issue. The problem in my case occurred because I had setup 2-step authentication for my Apple ID. If you have done this then you will get the error message "the mail server did not recognize your email/password...". To solve the problem go to:
    https://appleid.apple.com
    Click "Manage Your Apple ID"
Verify your identity with the device you selected (if this step does not show up then you have not likely set up 2-step authentication and this is not your solution)
Click Password and Security in the left column
    Click Generate an app-specific password
Enter iPhoto as the name of the app
Copy the password and paste this into the password box in iPhoto where you would normally enter your apple ID (in the mail account section in iPhoto preferences).
    And...voila' (I hope)

  • Send photos by mail

I don't seem able to send annoys my photos via mail, after installing the iPhoto replacement, PHOTOS.
When I select my photo from PHOTOS, then select the SHARE button at the top, it opens my options (Facebook etc), but my MAIL option is not available to select as an option to use (I can see it, just not able to select it).
I never had issues with iPhoto, is there something Im not doing?

Is the (Apple) Mail app icon visible, but not Outlook?  If it's there what happens if you click it - it might just open the default email client and could be a GUI error not showing the Outlook icon.
    I see:
Also I assume you see the same via File>Share menu:

  • Quick way to send photos from Mail

Is there a quick way to send photos from my iphoto library from the Mail application? I heard that 10.5 will have a photo browser as part of email but I was wondering if there is a way in Tiger? Maybe a third party plugin or something like that.

Try this hint from Mac OS X Hints.

  • Iphone6/ios8 not sending photos via mail or messages

I can't send photos from my iPhone 6. I have tried both Mail and messages. Nothing happens. The Mail window comes up and allows me to fill in the To address, subject etc. I can click on Send but nothing happens. The Photo doesn;t go into the outbox or the sent folder.
The only thing I may be doing differently is I am not using iCloud to store my photos.  Any suggestions? (I already tried resetting my iPhone)

Thanks for the mail forum tip
Yeah, I use the Media Browser in Mail. It's just quicker, more convenient when in iphoto to use that function.
Will post on the Mail Forum now, hope that helps . . .

  • Sending photos as mail attachments to PC will not open

Photo attchments sent to a PC via Mail will not open.
As per suggestions I have added the .Doc extension to JPEG s and atached to the bottom of the message.
Does any one have any further ideas I can try?
    Thanks.
    Sandy

Do not change the extension to .doc - and stop listening to advice from whatever source you got that idea from.  Changing the extension to .doc will make the recieving machine think the file is a Microsoft Word document...  and it isn't, so Word won't be able to open it.  The extension needs to be .jpeg or .jpg if the file is a JPEG.
As to opening attachments, make sure you have Edit -> Attachments -> Always Send Windows-Friendly Attachments checked.  You may still have problems with recipients who are using Outlook, though.  Outlook is broken when it comes to understanding HTML e-mail messages, and Mail likes to send HTML messages.  (In fact, recent changes to Mail will make your message HTML, regardless of whether you have specified it to be plain text, in certain situations.)
If you find that you are unable to send to people using Outlook, and you aren't willing to ask them to switch to a non-broken mail client just for you, then you could try something like setting up a Picasa or Dropbox account and uploading your photos there.

  • PROBLEMS SENDING PHOTOS VIA MAIL BUTTON & SHARE-EMAIL

When I try to send pictures using the SHARE - EMAIL or with the EMAIL button, I get the SIZE OPTION message, and following that nothing, the photos are not loading to an email.
    MAIL is selected in PREFERENCES.
This is a sudden problem, previously it has worked without difficulties, and as far as I am aware I have not made any changes.
Am also experiencing MAIL problems with SAFARI. When I try to send a webpage link via the *mail this web page* button on the toolbar, or from the *File Dropdown* I've suddenly started getting this message:
'' *An email message can’t be created to send the link because Safari can’t find an email application. You can use the Mail application included with Mac OS X to send mail. To do so, you might need to install Mail using the Mac OS X Install discs.* ''
    Anyone else experiencing similar problems?
    Can anyone help? Please!

  • Sender verification e-mail code

How do I get my sender verification e-mail to be sent to me so I can send photo e-mail's?

    Hi,
First off, make sure you have specified the correct email address in the preferences (Edit -> Preferences -> Sharing).
Next, when you go to email a photo and get that message, there should be a button marked Resend E-mail - click on that button and you should get an email with the verification code.
If you don't recieve the email, it could be that your service provider is blocking it as spam.
