Sending PM objects (work orders, notifications) to external address

Hello,
I have a question about sending PM object to external address type of recepient.
When I select 'send object with note' and pick external address, I only get attached .txt file to be sent (with order number), not the actual order..Whereas the client is going to have virtually all services done by external vendors, who wouldn't have access to the system.. They aren't planning using Enterprise Portal
Could anybody suggest how to accomplish that?
Also, second portion of the question..
Help says that the attachment of the object are not sent with it, ie. the recepient can only access them in attachment list in the object display.
I was just wondering is there any enhancement that we can bypass it and enable it in email along with attached order
Thanks in advance

Thanks Peter,
Actually, I couldnu2019t find that note..
But I guess maybe I wasnu2019t clear enough, let me rephrase my question.
So, they have a PM order PDF smart form and it doesnu2019t look a problem to mail that. Whereas, mailing the question is whether thereu2019s a way to send also attachments within that order which doesnu2019t look like being available by standard SAP. Again, I am not talking about attachments from whatever hard drive, which you can attach when sending via u2018send object with noteu2019), but enclosing whatever supportive docs with order.
So, any ideas how to enable it?
Thanks in advance

  • Work Order / Notification Transfer - SAP Work Manager 6.2

    Hey Guys,
How do we transfer notification based on Work Center, Standard work manager does not updates main work center.
Requirement is to Transfer notification which are associated with work order when we transfer work order.
Please let us know how to transfer notification based on work center.
    Thanks,
    Madhur Kanungo

In Agentry you can trigger a Notification Change Transaction (Z_NotifTransfer) without a screen and update "WorkCenter" field on Notification Object. Please make sure you IsEdited = True and NeedsXmit = True along with the change to the Notification. This will update the notification object along with Work Order.
The other option is to extend the WO MDO Class and invoke BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_DATA_MODIFY  in the Transfer method.
    thanks,

  • Authorisation Object in Order & Notification for Partner

    Dear All,
Does Maintenance Order or Notification has an Authorisation Object which has Partner as an Authorisation field?
My requirement is to restrict the view & Change Authorisation based on the Partner assigned in the Notification & Order.
    Regards,
    MLN Prasad

    Hi Prasad
One suggetion, Why you are not using the field user responsible for that? Are you give SAP login ID to each service provider to access the SAP from SAP netware? Then Provide him access to IW38 & IW28 & make the partner function USer responsible & make the field requirred field.
While access the report , system will ask the user responsible field to service provid er & service provider will give his user ID & he will get the data for his id only.
I hope this may help you.

    Hi ,
With reference to your second point , if your looking for some alret then whenever you have goods receipt or goods issue of stock material you can have a mail triggerred through workflow .. in our project what we did was , we had a user status ALMR - All Material received and this is SET by a  Z programme which checks whether all stock materials or non stock materials against the order have been received and sets the user status and this programme is run as a batch job with 30min frequency ....

  • Value from info record in work order

    Hi,
We have created some info record. While creating some work orders we enter info record number in peration-external tab-price field. If in some earlier order info update is tick while creating purchase order having this info record then in new work order -operations tab-external tab-price field rate is picked up from purchase order history and not from value maintained in info record (ME11/12) manually.
Is their any setting / SAP note so that all the times rate will be picked up from info record (ME11/ME12) and not from purchase order history or info update.

  • Sending mail to external address

    Hi all,
I did a configuration for set up the gateway
1- Set up RFC in SM59. I tested this connection was working fine.
2- Created a node in SCOT under INT (Internet). Allowed all formats for processing.
3- I have set up conversion rules in SCOT.
4- After above When I send an email from Workplace to an external address like [email protected] I get an error that “Cannot process message in node, parameters cannot be converted”.
    Message class XS message 821
Now I am not sure what parameters it has not been able to convert. Has anyone encountered this problem earlier?
    Thanks in advance.
    ViKaS.

    Hai Vikas
    Check the following Document
    Here are the steps.
SM59 Transaction is used for Connection Establishment with Destination.
When you establish a connection to a client through a destination, the HTTP connection must first be entered in transaction SM59.
There are two types of HTTP connection in transaction SM59: Call transaction SM59 to display the different RFC destinations.
The HTTP connection to the external server (connection type G) and the HTTP connection to the R/3 system (connection type H) are different only in their logon procedures. Their technical settings are the same. To display the technical settings, double-click a connection.
You can choose from three tabs. Under Technical Settings, you can specify the following:
・ Target Host: The host to which you want to connect.
Note that if you are using HTTPS as a protocol, you have to specify the full host name (with domain).
・ Service No.: Here, you specify the port. The destination host must of course be configured in such a way that the specified port “understands” the corresponding protocol (HTTP or HTTPS). See Parameterizing the ICM and the ICM Server Cache.
・ Path Prefix: At the time when the connection to this destination is initiated, the system inserts this sub-path before ~request_uri.
・ HTTP Proxy Options: Here, you can configure a proxy for HTTP connections: You can determine the proxy host and service, as well as users and passwords for the HTTP connection.
The tab page Logon/Security will be different depending on whether you have selected a HTTP connection to an external server (connection type G) or a HTTP connection to an R/3 system (connection type H).
HTTP Connection to an External Server (Connection Type G)
Choose the connection you want to use. You can choose from the following logon procedures:
・ No Logon: The server program does not request a user or password.
・ Basic Authentication: The server program requests a user and password. Basic Authentication is a standard HTTP method for authenticating users. When a user logs on to the target system, he or she provides a user ID and password as authentication. This information is then sent in a header variable as a Base 64-encoded string to the server, through the HTTP connection.
・ SSL Client Certificate: If you use client certificates for authentication, the client authentication is performed through the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. In this case, you must also select the SSL Client PSE of the SAP Web AS that contains the relevant certificate for the authentication. The target system must handle the issuer of the SAP Web AS client certificate as a trusted system.
Under Logon/Security, you can also activate SSL to ensure that HTTPS is the protocol used (if you select SSL, make sure that the correct port is entered under Technical Settings). In the security transaction STRUST you can determine which type of SSL client is used. (Getting Started with the Trust Manager, Trust Manager).
The field Authorization for Destination has been implemented as an additional level of protection. We recommend that you specify a user and password for the RFC destination.
HTTP Connection to an R/3 System (Connection Type H)
Here, you can specify more settings for authentication in the target system.
The settings under Technical Settings and Special Options are the same as for connection type G. Under Logon/Security, the connection type H has additional logon procedures. As with external servers, you can activate and deactivate SSL and specify an authorization.
Because the target system is an SAP system, you can set the client and language for the logon as well as the user name and password. If you check Current User, you have to specify the password.
The following authentication procedures are available: Basic Authentication, SAP Standard, and SAP Trusted System, and SSL Client Certificate.
・ HTTP Basic Authentication: Logon with user and password
・ SAP Standard: This procedure uses an RFC logon procedure. The RFC Single Sign-On (SSO) procedure is valid within the one system. The same SAP user (client, language, and user name) is used for logon.
・ SAP Trusted System: Trusted RFC logon to a different SAP system (see Trusted System: Maintaining Trust Relationships Between SAP Systems)).
・ SSL Client Certificate: The SSL protocol enables you to use client certificates for the logon.
    Type G/H (SM59)
    Timeout:
When sending a HTTP request, you can use this parameter to specify the maximum response time for the connection.
    HTTP Setting:
You can use the HTTP version to specify the protocol version of the HTTP request (HTTP 1.0 or 1.1).

  • PM Work Order IDOC?

I have a requirement to pass data related to a PM work order to an external Database. Transfer needs to be near real-time. Is there a standard IDOC for a PM work order? I am new to IDOCs. Your help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Gary

If you are putting Current date (coming as default), PR is getting the same date. Are you creating this PR through MRP??
Even if you put any actual requirement date, based on MRP period, system will create the PR with appropriate date which has been mentioned in PM order.
There is no impact of changing this date.

    Hi Murthy,
II have no idea what patch level you are on. A while back we had similar issues with some clients. There are several patches around that area available. Perhaps you should have a look into patch 959732.
    Hope that helps.

  • BAPI/FM Help Needed for PM Work Order Update and Notification create

    Hi,
I am using BAPI - BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN to update the work order details and create notifications for the object list but i am getting errors in doing that.
IWO_BAPI 203 -Changing the execution factor in the BAPI is not supported
And i have to create notifications to each object in the object list. This BAPI is not supporting that.
So i used another BAPI BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_CREATE to create notification and passed the order number , counter etc to it but in the order it is creating a new row for that equipment and linking the notification to it.
    Need some help on these.

    Dear
    1. If you want a Notification mandatory to be created for Order using IW31 you can once make this happen by User Status in Order ,   i would suggest if you are doing implementation better Use Order Types  which has got Notification integrated in it .
Check Order type PM05 in Ideas server you have PM05 Order with notification fields integrated , which created notification in Background when order is Created or released.
2.For Work Order B --> Notification A , Not Allowing I donot have any idea check whether is there any User exit from experts or ask ur Abaper

  • Work Manager 6.0 - Order & Notification assignment type Z

    Hi Agentry experts,
for WM 6.0 we have the idea to get a more flexible assignment for notifications and work orders, as our business process requires more flexibility than the standard available assignment types e.g. Work Center
User A should only see certain equipment
User B should see certain activity types
User C should only see unscheduled
    etc.
Our idea is to add custom assignment types (similar to described by Mark here) which will call the standard reports behind IW29 / IW39 with a user specific selection variant.
Does any of you have experience which you could share, or a better suggestion how this can be achieved?
    Thanks in advance for suggesting!
    Regards
    Merten

    Hi,
we are now working on this and have implemented some ABAP code for Notification and Work Order Assignment Type = Z which is available in the standard WM 6.0 config panel. This is also configured in the mobile application config and data object filters (as described in the Assignment Type documents.
However, on the client we get error: Invalid Wo.AssignmentType from the ini file or SAP Mobile Configuration. Please check the ini file or the mobile configuration for assignmenttype (Z) in section APPLICATION_CONFIG
So our Assignment config is OK, but not working. I see in Java that this error is thrown by class WorkOrderAssignmentTypeDelegateFactory, this class only tests on types 1-8 and A.
Any guidance on how to resolve this easy would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Merten

  • Multiple notifications linked to work order

    Hi sap gurus,
How can we link multiple notifications in PM Work order
    Regards,
    Krishna

    Greetings Krishna,
You can use the "Objects" tab in the Order view (IW32 t-code) to assign multiple Notifications to an Order.
Please note a Notification can only be assigned to 1 Order at a time (therefore it is a N:1 relationship between Notifications and Orders).

  • Work Order and Notification

    Hello,
am a bit new with PM process, can anyone tell me how to do a work order with notification on it and confirmation will be made to the work order? please guide me step by step which is first to do and the transaction for each?
    thanks

    hi
there is no separate confirmation for notifications, you can close the notification from IW22, or when you close order system willclose notifiaction also
Choose Logistics ® Customer service ® Service processing or Logistics ® Plant maintenance ® Maintenance processing.
You reach service processing or maintenance processing.
    Choose Orders ® Change.
Enter the order number and call up the header data screen or the operation overview.
For information on how to enter technical findings when completing the order, see Entering Technical Findings.
Choose Order ® Functions ® Complete ® Complete (techn.).
The dialog box Complete is displayed.
Check the information in the dialog box and change it where necessary. If you want to complete the notifications contained in the object list at the same time, choose Complete notifications.
    Choose Complete.
The system completes the order technically, assigns the relevant status to it, and saves it.
It completes all notifications with the appropriate status. If assigned notifications cannot be completed, a message is displayed by the system informing you of this.
Process these notifications accordingly and then complete them.
You can do this either directly with the change function for notifications, or from the order.
As before, call up the order using the change function, and choose
Order ® Functions ® Complete ® Complete notifications
Once you save the order, the outstanding notifications are also completed.
