Sending Reports Through Microsoft Exchange Server

Hi,
We are working in oracle applications 11i on solaris. In Oracle HRMS we have a customized report that generates pay slips for employees in PDF format.
Please note that currently we are not implementing the Oracle Self Service feature as our organization hierarchy is not built in the system.
So, We are studying the possibility of sending these reports by email to the staff through Microsoft Exchange Server.
Can someone guide me where to start and what do I need to accomplish this please....

Can LabVIEW send an email through Microsoft Exchange server without an account set up in Outlook?

I've found sample code that shows how to send email through Outlook using LabVIEW. On any computer I log into on our network, my profile loads and I have access to the exchange server through Outlook so the code works.
However, I am developing a program that will run on a lab computer with a generic PC login that is shared among everyone in the lab. Exchange server/outlook is not set up for the generic user.
Is it possible to have labVIEW send an email through the exchange server with a server name, username, and password coded into the executable?

You would need to send a standard SMTP message via Exchange. The Exchange server will likely require authentication, so you won't be able to use the built-in SMTP VIs, as they do not support authentication. If you're on Windows you can use .NET (see this example), or use the OpenG SMTP VIs.

Can't send emails through microsoft exchange

I can receive emails through microsoft exchange, but will not allow me to send. I get a pop up that says Cannot Send Mail, An error occured while delivering this message.
I know other people in my company can send emails. I also have tried restoring the phone and reloading the email still nothing.

There are a few other guys in the office that have Iphone 4S as well and dont have this issue. Everything works great except sending emails thats where the block is happening.

Problem e-mailing reports after migrating to new Microsoft Exchange server

Hi,
I am now unable to e-mail (SMTP) reports to anyone in my company because we just migrated to a new Microsoft Exchange server. Anyone know how to get rid of this message?
Status: Failed

External Destination: Mail the instance to "____________" with a subject of " %SI_NAME% %SI_STARTTIME% ".
Data Refresh Settings: Use the server defaults.

We tried changing the gmmc-crs.reportjobserver with no luck.

Hi,
You need to start with your exchange logs and possibly enable tracing on your BO webi/crystal/destination job servers (depending on the type of report and whether or not it is scheduled) to get an idea of how far down the line the SMTP connection is getting.
You could also confirm a few key things:
Have the SMTP destinations on your BO servers been updated with the new SMTP server info
Can you telnet to the mail server on port 25 from the BO server - if not, then check the firewall between the two servers and change the existing ruleset to allow connectivity to the new server
Possibly the old mail server didn't require authentication and the new server does, you could test this through telnet?

Connection to the server failed appears when synching email through Microsoft Exchange.

The message, 'Connection to the server failed', appears when synching Groupwise email through Microsoft Exchange on my IPhone 4S. A long string of numbers and letters appears where INBOX should be. The downloading 'wheel' keeps spinning, and the battery is drained quickly as a result. I also get numerous no sender emails with the date 12/31/69 that cannot be deleted. Calendars also are not synching.The exact same settings work for my IPad2. The server works for other IPhone users. It is very strange and frustrating.

What device does your husband have? What email server does he use?
All I can tell you is what Microsoft is saying right now.
If any other email systems (like gmail, yahoo) work on your device, odds are that your device is fine.

I wanted to know that for sending Email from SAP System (that is via Information broadcasting feature of BW )to Email IDS of individuals do we need to make any configurations on Exchange Server as well or some RFC between Microsoft Exchange Server and BW .I have made all settings for SMTP through SCOT transaction but still not able to send mails.From our Exchange Server,the connector is removed ,do we need to reconnect it for this purpose.kindly please tell me wt all configurations do i need to make on Mail server for sending Emails as iam not able to do the same now.If somebody can send a PDF/Word document in support for the same on my email Id [email protected] ,i shall be highly obliged.Your help shall be appreciated ,kindly revert at earliest.

Mail through an Microsoft Exchange Server

The mail at the business is run through an Exchange server. A pop3 account collects the mail and sends it to the server (no one wanted to change their old email accounts). Everything works fine directly connected or wirelessly connected at the office.
When I go wireless on my laptop at Tmobile or wherever, I can receive mail no problem. When I send mail I get a "Can't use the pop3 account server". It directs me to the Exchange server...which does not work. But I have to try it because when I do it directs me back to the pop3 server...which then works! What's up with all that? Is this a simple setup issue or just a workaroud I have to live with?
I am using Apple Mail.

   I need to configure sender mail adapter which needs to forward the mails comes to the Microsoft Exchange server to XI and then to other application..
MAIL->XI->SAP System..
We are using Microsoft Exchange server to send/receive mails..But we need POP3 url to receive mails ..is it possible to receive mails from the Microsoft Exchange server..
    Can anybody help me to find out the solution..

I am trying to scan to an email and it's telling me i have enter my microsoft exchange server name and i don't know where to retrieve it from, need help Thank You

If you are a non IT person, ask your IT guy to configure it on the scanner so that it doesnt prompt all the time.
If you are an IT guy, you should know your Exchange server name, although you need to make a few changes for the scanner to send emails through.

Can I get more than one account on iphone microsoft exchange server

Hi all,
I was trying to get more than one account on iphone microsoft exchange server for mail, but it seems to only accept one. Is this true with everyone else out there. I guess I am one of the few people with more than one email account that uses microsoft exchange. I would love to have the convience of accessing them through iphone mail but it seems that I will be forced to use safari for the other two by typing owa... in the url.

Yu can only have one Exchange Server account per device. This is true to iPhone and any Windows mobile device in the market. The work around is to set your other accounts that reside on an Exchange server using IMAP or POP settings as you used to do before the Version 2 update allowed you to sync directly to the Exchange Server. This methode will allow you to add as many accounts as you want or have.

Cannot connect to an Exchange account in Outlook 2013 using "Microsoft Exchange Server or Compatible Service"

Dear All,
I cannot connect to my Exchange account in Outlook 2013 using "Microsoft Exchange Server or Compatible Service".
First I would like to present my network environment, I have 4 physical servers;
The first one is holding the Domain Controller 1, IP@: 192.168.1.10
The second server is holding the additional Domain Controller which it is DC2, IP@: 192.168.1.11
The third server is holding the Exchange 2013 Mailbox, IP@: 192.168.1.15
And the last server is holding the Exchange 2013 CAS-HT, IP@: 192.168.1.16
I am doing the steps below:
1-Creating a new profile in outlook and start configuring the exchange account by entering the IP address of the Exchange-CAS Server, 192.168.1.16
2-entering the account name: [email protected]
3-Go to "More Settings" > "Connection" > "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP" > and entering the "Exchange Proxy Settings"
4-type the exchange CAS Server URL, https://192.168.1.16
5-Check the "Connect using SSL Only"
6-Authentication Settings: "NTLM Authentication", and pressing Apply
7-When I press the "Check Name" button, a message occurred> "The action cannot be completed. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action".
8-I go back to the "Exchange Proxy Settings" and I Uncheck the "Connect using SSL Only" and pressing Apply
9-i press the "Check Name" Button, a small window occurred to enter a Username and Password, so I enter the Administrator username and the administrator password and pressing "OK", but nothing is changed, I tried to enter my
username and password in the small window and I still got the same result.
I cannot verify the account name and I cannot complete the process.
I appreciate you kind assistance.

1. Try to login the test account through OWA.
2. Check the Autodiscover settings: get-clientaccessserver |fl autodiscoverserviceinternaluri
3. Check the result of directly accessing the following URL:
https://autodiscover.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and Windows 8 Compatibility

Is there a fix or workaround for accessing email via Outlook 2013 (Windows 8) when your company uses Microsoft exchange server 2003 and has not plans on upgrading it any time soon. I am a remote employee so I am the only one that has this problem in the
company. I can access email through an owa account but it's a pain. I tried to set up a rule to have all incoming mail forwarded to my gmail account in Outlook 2013, but that did not work. Any other ideas?

If server has enabled ActiveSync you can use Windows 8 Mail Client - works almost like Outlook.
AFAIR Outlook 2013 can't work with Exchange 2003.

SAP PI Connection Microsoft Exchange Server (Scenario Mail -- SAP PI -- File)

Hi experts,
we want to connect Microsoft Exchange Server to SAP PI. POP3 and IMAP4 is not allowed on mail server side.
But the standard mail adapter in SAP PI (configured as sender communication channel) only works with POP3 and IMAP4.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem

Hi Priyadshini,
The way that you have developed your java program can be different that the way that SAP did it. With pop3 in PI, as far as i know, it is no possible to change the read/delete properties that the mail server has by default, as Amit and Ilya mentioned you should try with the imap solution or to talk to the mail server administrators.
Are you sure that the messages is being deleted?, have you checked other mail folders in the user account?, may be the message is being moved.
