Is it possible send sms or e-mail from my mobile phone writing from personal computer while connecting via usb cable? If yes, via which program?

Is it possible to send a message to a group (from address book contacts) and choose whether it goes via SMS (to a cellphone) for some recipients or email to other recipients?

In the USA, you can do so by addressing the email to {10digitPhoneNumber}@{cellCarrierDomainName}.
Examples for this, for USA carriers, are given at http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/939/smsemail_cingular_nextel_sprint_tmobile_verizonvirgin. I would imagine that the same sort of technique would work in AUS. The trick is finding out the carriers' domain names.
You might try a google search using search terms "email domain cellphone text message {list of names of cellular providers in AUS}" or have somebody text message your email address then it will show up in the "From:" in the email that you receive.
So to send to a group consisting of some cellular SMS addresses and regular email addresses, the group would just be defined accordingly, with the SMS-style email addresses. Just remember that there may be a restriction on the number of characters that can be received per message by the cell phone SMS recipients.

Send sms e-mail

Hello folks, with all my nokia phones (nokia 6230, nokia 6300 and many other models with s40) ive had an option to send sms e-mail that is very usefull to me cause i have a 4000 sms monthly plan.
Now i bought a nokia e51 and i cant find this option... all of the mail options are done via the email app and i cant use that because it uses gprs, edge, 3g or wifi data and that is very expensive for me.

Had a chance to play with the 6700 and stumbled on the answer. You can send an image or similar to an e-mail address without connecting to the internet or having e-mail set up in your phone as follows:
Open contacts. Select names. Scroll to the contact you want to send the image to and press 'details'.
Select options, then add detail, and move right using menu key. You should then have a sub-page that says 'number' and 'internet' and 'multimedia' and 'personal information'. Scroll to 'internet' and move right again.
Then another page appears saying 'Web address' and E-mail address'.
Scroll to e-mail address.and then 'select'.
You should be back in the contacts page and have the option to add an e-mail address to the contact details. Do this and press 'save'.
Close the contacts list and select 'Messaging'.
Start to create a text message to the same person. Enter their name and leave the next text entry box blank unless needed.
Under the text entry box should be a left and right scroll box. Scroll down to this using the menu key and highlight 'image'. The option above the menu key should have changed from 'send' to 'insert'.
Select 'insert' and that should show the Gallery menu. Find the image wherever it is, the memory card in my case, so Open that, then select images until you find the picture required. Select 'insert'.
It will then say ' message changed to multimedia.'
The 'send' option should have returned above the menu key.Press it.
Match the entry if needed to make sure you have the correct recipient.
Once that's done, you should have the option at the bottom of the screen to either scroll to the phone number or the e-mail address.
Scroll to the e-mail address and then press select. Add any text if needed and press send.
Job done!
Disclaimers- this was done on a factory unlocked Nokia 6700 with no Operator programmes installed. O2 include an MMS message as 4 texts from the allowance but your Network may charge you.
I use Windows Mail. When you receive the message, there is no attachment shown for the image. To find it, right click on the message title and select open. You'll find the link there.

How can i stop icloud from sending me a e-mail everytime I write or update a note on my iphone???

Every time I make a new note, or even when I simply update an existing note (this can be a minor change such as one letter) an email is sent to my Gmail. It never shows as an unread new email in my inbox, but it's there, in my "All mail" folder. I now have thousands of e-mails sent from "me" with a copy of each note I've written and updated, even if it's a minor change. This is ridiculous. Who the **** thought of this absurd system? Why on earth would I want to keep track of every minor change I make?
It is preposterous to see that Apple (and other companies with "cloud" servers) are keeping track of ALL the information we type in our phones. Nothing is private anymore, nothing is truly ours. Thank you "cloud" for stripping us from our privacy and freedom and for making Orwell's vision become reality. I've always wanted a big brother... Everything might be going up in the cloud, but hopefully it will rain a lot, soon. We have to find a way to bring the personal computer back.
Anyway, please let me know how I can disconnect myself from iCloud, I just like using Google drive from time to time to store certain notes and documents.

Hey there,
Unfortunately this issue is going to have to be addressed on the iphone senders end. They will need to turn on "send as SMS" in their settings of their iPhones because when an iMessage fails, it should send SMS and get to your android.
Also, rumor has it updating to iOS 7.1.1 on the other iPhones will clear the system as well but as long as you've already called AppleCare and they degregistered your number from iMessage, you should be good.

IMS 5.2 supports one way SMS, however, you must have access to the SMSC's SMPP server. The server must support SMPP V3.4 over TCP/IP and there must be TCP/IP connectivity between the host running iMS and the SMPP server.
You also have to configure a SMS channel in iMS, then it is merely a matter of sending a mail message to the address associated with that channel.
The documentation for how to do that can be found at http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/messaging/technotes/5.2sms.html which is reached from the "related links" at the bottom of the messaging documentation web site http://docs.iplanet.com/docs/manuals/messaging.html#related, and then select "Technical Notes and Examples". Desktop SMS and Windows Mail don't work properly together

thought I would post there here as been having some issues with my Windows Mail but my desktop computer doesn't suffer same issues and on a Vista forum where I posted my problem a couple of very helpful told me who to try solving the issues.
One of them suddenly realised I'd said my laptop was a Toshiba and apparently the Desktop SMS and Windows Mail just don't work properly together so the person suggested unless I use it to uninstall it apparently amongst the technically trained its known that these two programs don't like each other and would explain why my desktop doesn't have the issue but laptop does.
After resetting the Windows Mail (tutorial on a vista site http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/) Touch wood don't be put off by vistax64 as site does both 32 and 64 and followed Brink's excellent resetting Windows Mail (didn't restore any mail) and then uninstalled Desktop SMS and touch wood no more mail issues as has been giving me problems virtually daily with marking draft emails as read/sent.
So had to click on forward then delete those bits and finish email to send it and touch wood since doing these two things as soon as send an email to draft or outbox get the number of emails in the brackets whereas before this wouldn't happen unless I closed the program then reopened it.
Hoping these solutions have fixed my problem and wanted to share it with anybody else who wants to read this thread and would recommend the Vista 64 site as they're all really helpful over there and speak in non technical terms for those of us not technically trained.

I have marked this as answered as it was more a post to help others who may have experienced the same problem I did and didn't get a reply or just didn't know that this program could be the reason their Windows Mail has issues that can't seem to be resolved any other way apart from ignore them and hope they don't get worse.

Can't send SMS from iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1

Hello! I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1 simfree. I can recieve sms but I can't send one. It seems like there are issues with imessage, 'cause it says "waiting for activation" and doesn't offer me use my phone number to send sms via, but only my e-mail. I suppose it's a bug of ios version, right? If not, then what can I do? How can I make sms sending fuction working? All the options like "send sms", "send mms" are on. I have tried to reboot the iOS and restore it - doesn't help.

To start, you could post some useful info such as your carrier and location. Do you have SMS/MMS enabled on your plan with your carrier? Did you contact them to check?

How to send SMS by using ABAP program

You can use the FM: 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1' &

If you want to text people for free, i highly recommened AIM application. Its an IM app built in with an feature that allows you to text anyone on your contacts for free. Just let them know that its you texting them the first time.

Do you have the hardware in place to interface and talk directly with the communication systems of the telecom companies?
I seriously doubt it. So, all you can do is send email messages to their email address assigned to their mobile phone, provided the carrier offers that. Most ofen the form is <phonenumber>@<mobile.carrier.isp>

Can not call receive or send sms

hi,
today i cant dial and receive calls, voice mail service, send sms, 3G services in my Iphone. I have optus service with 500 MB data plan. when i try to use any applications regarding internet i got error "could not active cellular data service"
Internet related all applications are working in Wifi networks not on 3G.
Problem is in my Iphone because i tested my Sim card in other nokia phone it works but other sim is not working in my Iphone.
I also reset Iphone but still its there.
so can you guide me how to solve this problem

Cannot SEND SMS messages on 8130

Here's my story:
1. I upgraded to a Blackberry Pearl 8130 in pink earlier this year. My carrier is Verizon.
2. Recently (say a month ago), a friend sent a text message to me from her new phone. I attempted to text her back, but received a big fat red X indicating that my message did not go through. Specifically, when I open my message, the error says, "Mobile equipment status failed."
3. I went to Verizon. They did something where I think they took me off the network and then put me back on. This did nothing. She wanted to do a hard set on the phone, but I had not backed up my data yet.
4. I went home and backed up my data and went back to Verizone about a week later. I spend over an hour in the store. The gentleman that was helping me was on the phone with someone (presumably technical support) to no avail. He was ready to order me a replacement phone, but after further discussion with tech support, they thought there was an issue with the network, not my phone. I went home with a case number.
5. The very next day Verizon called me. They indicated that it wasn't a network issue and that it was my phone. They were going to send me a replacement.
6. I received my replacement phone a couple of days later. I was anxious to get it set up, but the results have been the same. I have not yet returned to Verizon. I thought I'd try here first to see if anyone had any ideas.
The bottom line:
I CAN send/receive e-mails.
I CAN send a MMS message.
I CAN receive SMS messages.
I CANNOT send SMS messages.

Two months later and I finally ..yes FINALLY figured out the SMS issue I previously mentioned on my own out of sheer frustration. I have a Pearl 8130. First ..thanks to everyone for the previous suggestions for resolution here on this board, Google and other areas I've searched many times over however ..none of the suggetions or options worked ..ie, battery pull, *228, calling Alltel tech support many times, going to the Alltel store etc.. you name it I tried it. Guess what? And this is for anyone else who may have had the same problem.. sad to say it was a very simple change in the settings that resolved the "X SMS error 0, Message ID 99" response on every single text (sms) I tried to send.
1.) Click the Call Log icon
2.) Select the menu button (immediate right of the track ball)
3.) Select Options - this will give you a list that begins with "General Options" ..etc
From this list..
4.) Select Smart Dialing
From here you will see an option for "Use "1" for National Dialing"
If it on the default setting of "no" change it to "yes"
Save your selection as normal and you should be good to go.
The funny thing in all of this ..I was recently in Southern California (I live in Arizona) and while there I had absolutely no trouble whatsoever sending or receiving. Upon my return to AZ the problem resurfaced and I have to admit that after 7yrs with Alltel (soon to be Verizon) I am truly disappointed with tech support for the very first time. A simple default setting needed to be changed ~sigh~
Hope this works for anyone else who is having issues ..specifically Alltel/Verizon.
