Sending Spare part for repairing via subcontracting

Hi All,
Our business practice includes to send any spare part(i.e Motor) for
repairing purpose outside the plant premises on the subcontracting
challan.
But this particular spare part (of ERSA material type) has ALREADY got
issued and NO stock exists under this material code for sending it
outside.
So currently we are creating the new material code (which is non valuated
in nature)and generating the stock(via movement type 501) of the same for
sending it outside by using the custom movement type 941 (copy of 541
movement type).
For the above excercise to happen, everytime it is very tedious excercise
to create the non valuated material code. it implies every repairable
material code is having 2 material codes one is valuated and 2nd one is
non valuated, which gives lot of confusion to users.
Please suggest some way out for this issue.
Thanks & Regards
Nitin

Hi
I hope you can use Split caluation here.  Create two valuation type Valuated and Non - Valuated. Carry out the necessary config for split valuation.  while Creating material master for valuation type valuated maintain MAP in accounting view and for valuation type Non-valuated maintain standard price 0.  This may be useful for you

  • Spare parts for repair

    Hi,
Are there anywhere in the material master where i can indicate if the product is repairable or not repairable.
It shouldn't indicate where or more information, but only a click off or a sign that it says that the part is repairable.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I don't think that such an indicator exists, but you have a few ways to achieve it:
    1) The easiest and most straightforward way of adding info to a material master (and not only!), is the classification mechanism, where you can classify a material as being "reparable".
    2) Use material group to have a group like "reparables"
    3) if you need some more hard core differentiation one could even customize a new material type. Not recommended especially in cases when a reparable can become non-reparable, and vice versa.
    4) In the BOM there's a native indicator for spare parts, so if you use BOMs maybe that will work better for you.

  • Spare parts for SNS-3415

    Hi guys,
I saw the HW specs of the 3415.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/vpndevc/ps5712/ps11640/data_sheet_c78-726524.pdf
There is a spare part for the disk and for the power supply. Does anyone has the experience if the ISE software will check for the HW. The SNS server has a hardware raid controller. I want to know if I can use the raid controller just for mirroring for HW redundancy.
The SNS 3415 has two power slots. So i suspose this can be easily done without breaking the 'service' requiremtents for TAC.
    regards,
    Sander

    Hi Ravi,
For the OS disk, I'm pretty sure we will run into problems. Like you said the UNIX distri will check for the HW bases on the system ID (3415 will have only 1 disk like the specs of Cisco). So sure I don't want to run into problems with my service agreement.
But for the PSU it would be a nice to know if I can install this without any issues. Maybe you got the HW in the LABs?
    regards,
    Sander

  • Just received my iPod, now I have to send it back for repair. What?!?!?!?!?

I just received my iPod today. It isn't working correctly. I called tech support and they said send it in for repair and it'll be back in about 2 weeks. What? I just got it today. Shouldn't they just send me another one? Am I being unreasonable?

I don't think that you're being unreasonable but I also don't think you'll get anywhere. I don't object to such an inconvenience if a problem occurs after purchase. However, I have a serious issue with having been sold a defective product.
    Good luck!

  • Spare part for HP HDX X18

    Hi guys,
I'd like to know where and how i can get this plastic spare parts for HP HDX X18 ? don't have to be only this part can be all this side plastic cover too...

You will need to completely identify your HDX noteboook with its product name.
Lets start with you helping us by identifying your notebook completely.
HP has produced and brought to market more than a thousand different models of notebooks and desktop PCs over the years. It is difficult to help you if we don't know which specific model you own..
Method #1: If the notebook will boot into Windows, you can retrieve your Product Number by pressing Fn + Esc key.
    Method #2:
Remove the battery and look in the compartment where the battery was installed. You should see a Service tag with printed part number and a product name. Please post the p/n (with all alphanumeric characters) here. If you live outside of North America, it helps us if you post the country of purchase. Also post the installed CPU type. (AMD or Intel)
Don't forget to post the name of the installed operating system if you haven't already done that.
Use the Maintenence & Service Guide to see exactly which parts you need. Once you identify the notebook I will be able to edit this post and provide a link to the pdf file for you.
You can use the HP Part Surfer to order the parts you need, if available, from HP.
You can also order the parts from an online vendor if they are available.

  • Where can I get a spare part for my fantastic apple sound dock A1121

    All,
I am a proud owner of a approx 7 year old apple sound dock (the white bar with contacts on top)
unfortunately my kids ripped the ipod out of the top contact bar, and somehow the contacts broke.
I could manage to open the box and dismount to find out whats wrong, but its simply broken.
the spare part would be a plastich frame with the contact bar.
Is it possible to obtain from Aplle or the origin manufacturer this plastick frame and the plug?
I can run the device using the AV cable on the rear, but this is unsufficient and not too elegant.
any help is appreciated. If anyone has a vendor or support link, just post it here or send it  to me  directly .
    Thanks in advance
    Claus

I presume you're referring to the Apple Hi-Fi:
    http://www.apple.com/support/ipodhifi/
Apple never sold parts for that device, and I've never seen any third-party source for parts or repairs. I think you're probably, therefore, out of luck.
    Regards.

  • Spare parts for powerbook G3

The screen of my powerbook G3 is severely damaged by accident. So I contacted my nearest Apple reseller to find out that there are no spare parts any more for this "old" machine. I just would like to know if this a local problem or are the new G3 parts sold out worldwide ?

New parts are no longer available.
But there are folks who have discovered the "large chunks" you can quickly separate a computer into are worth more as parts than as complete systems. Complete screen unit for powerBook G3 is a commonly-available part. There are three different ones for the WallStreet PowerBook alone.
eBay is one place where some of those parts are available. Tested parts with a modest warranty are available from online sellers and repairers of iBooks and Powerbooks with their own web sites. Full repair service with warranty is also available.

  • What happens when Apple send a box for repair?

    Hi,
After calling AppleCare about my white MacBook's discolouration issue again today, they have agreed to take it in and replace the inner top casing - which makes me very happy. They have said that as soon as they receive it, they will repair it and send it back the next day, so hopefully no more than a week in all - even better. They said they would "send a box" via TNT. Not having had to send in any of my Macs for repair before, I wondered if any of you who have been through this experience could tell me what the procedure is. When they say they are "sending a box", does this mean when TNT come around they will pop my MacBook in a box and take it away with them there and then? Will they want to take away the original packaging (and software, remote, power adapter etc) along with it, or just the MacBook itself? I'll be at work when they come with the box and my other half will have to deal with it, so I just want to make sure I have it all ready for her and know what to expect...
    Thanks!
MacBook white 2Ghz, iBook 1Ghz, MacMini PPC   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Same procedure, different machine!
It so happens I had to send back a 15" G4 PB today for service. Apple generously flew an empty cardboard box from Cologne to the Milands for me to pop it into!
UPS is very used to the procedure (the guy told me they have to pick up so many faulty iPods!) so they're happy to hang around for the 1 minute or so it takes to pop your Macbook in a bag like the one it originally came in, then lay it in the box (you have to break off pieces of polystyrene which cunningly create the perfect sized aperture to snugly fit your model).
If Apple didn't mention it then they don't want anything except the Macbook.
Once it's in the box the UPS guy then sticks on a sealed security label, and you wave it goodbye for a week!
I must say I'm impressed at how quickly Apple has acknowledged the discolouration issue - it was an official announcement today that they would replace the top case of affected machines and they attribute it to manufacturing defect.
