Sending texts problem

I got the blackberry curve a few days a go and some of my texts are not being received when sent to only certain numbers. Most of my texts get the black check mark and a D when they are sent but only certain phone numbers my phone shows the black check mark but no D. and those ones are not being received. Does anyone know why and what I need to do

Hello -- I am on verizon and some of mine have a d and some do not. The ones that have a D i believe are the same carrier (like mine are verizon).

Nokia E7 sending Text problem

Hi,
I recently purchased a nokia E7. When I first got it it was fine and would send messages to people however now after the 2nd day owning it, it is refusing to send messages to anyone. This is reguardless of network, though I am on the telstra network.

I just purchased a new E7-00 because my current three month old E7-00 just stopped sending text messages too. Before I do a hard reset I wanted another back-up phone because this phone is indispensable for my job.
The new phone doesn't have the new mail arrival widget so I need to get that straightened out before I try the hard reset on this three month old phone.
The text message can be changed to a multimedia message and it sends fine. It will not send a text message and I have contacted the carrier and also used other phones with the same sim card with no problem. This can only lead me to believe there is a software glitch somewhere in the system too.
Has anyone had the same problem and come up with a fix other than a hard reset?   I have applications that store information that I will loose as soon as I do the hard reset so I am trying to find a way around that avenue.
Also I am not sure the hard reset will cure the text message sending problem..
Any suggestions?   Thanks in advance!

5300 sending text problem

When I send a text, I get an alert. (same alert as when I receive a text) I dont want this but cant see how to stop it- can I stop it? thanks

Unfortunately to disable the alert sound you will have to disable the credit notification alert. It's the way series 40 nokia's work.
Contact your network operator to disable this alert.

It takes two to tango, maybe it's your recipient that has weak Internet/Cellular connections.

Problem sending texts

I'm having a problem sending texts to certain numbers. I have been able to send them before, but not any more. Delivery report tells me it's been delivered, but the recipient says nothing has arrived. It only seems to happen withcertain numbers.

If the messages are in your "sent items" folder, then they have successfully left your phone and non-delivery is down to either the network or the phone at the other end.
As you are getting delivery reports, I would suspect that the receiving phone has some kind of filtering system like that featured in some Nokia Series 30 phones which is filtering the message into a separate folder instead of the user's inbox.

Problem sending texts on Nokia 2310

I am having problem sending texts on my nokia 2310. I have plenty of credit, and service, and can make outgoing calls. I have looked everywhere in settings and can't find anything wrong. I think some sort of barring may have been put on text messages whenit was in my pocket and unlocked, but i don't know how to remove it. Help would be very gratefully received,

please check the message centre number.if any of your friends are having any phone go to message settings and check for message centre number and key in the same number.it should work.if still it is same you just update it with latest firmware and it should work fine.cheers.

I had the same problem. Kept getting message of waiting for activation or check network connections. I also tried every solution out there and nothing worked. This did though: I download the newest version of itunes (through Internet Explorer - Google Chrome wouldn't work). It pulled in my entire library thank goodness and then I plugged my iphone 4s into the computer. I let itunes find it, did a complete backup in icloud, then did a restore. Entire process took a couple of hours, but I now have imessage and facetime back. I was about ready to give up on Apple and go get a different phone ~

Problems sending texts.....

Bit of strange one, it's got me a bit confuddled, wondered if anyone could help please?
I've got an iPhone 4s, and I've a problem sending texts/imessages...
It sends fine when I'm replying to a thread of messages but if I start a 'new' text and adding a contact to send to, it's not sending. (it says its sending as a text message, normally sends as an iMessage).
Any thoughts/advise please?

So even if you send a message as a text message--basically to someone who doesn't one an iPhone, they still won't receive it? Conversely you are able to reply to threads in messages which send as iMessages.
So when you send a text Bev does your iPhone tell you that it has sent the message? It doesn't say something like "Not Delivered"? Or is it just not received on the other end?
One thing I would like you to try is resetting the network settings on your iPhone. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Once you have done this and your iPhone has rebooted I would like you to attempt to send an iMessage to a person with an iPhone and tell me if it goes through. And than from there I would like you to send someone a text message that doesn't have an iPhone and tell me if it goes through.

SMS text messages are handled by your cellular carrier.

Has anyone have a problem sending text messages and the messages won't get delivered after few minutes? From time to time I would have this problem and it's annoying. I would expect someone to receive it by then and response to my text right away. But when I look up the text it hasn't been delivered and it's in the process. I would hear that the message get delivered after few minutes? What gives? I never had a problem with my iphone 4 i think? Now with iOS 5 it let's me know whether it is delivered or not. I have the same problem when sending iMessages.. Wasnt sure if it was apple or Sprint? But it happens VERY often and I end up having to send it as a text message instead

For reasons which I won't bore you with, I'm trying to send
text from a JavaScript to a dynamic text box in Flash. I've just
spent all day wondering why I can't get it to work, despite
following web guides to the letter. Finally I discovered that I'm
not actually doing anything wrong and everything works perfectly -
as long as it's online. It won't work at all locally or from the
network.
The problem is that this is for learning material which will
be deployed both online and on CD, so it won't always be running
from a webserver. Has anybody got any ideas a) why this is
happening, and b) what I can do about it?

This is a good tutorial on using JSP pages with JavaBeans.
Your JSP page can have all the standard HTML tags and a bean can be set to retrieve any values from form fields upon a submit.
At that point your bean properties are set and your Java application can use that data for whatever processes you wish.
It's really quite simple once you get the hang of it! ^_^

Problems sending texts and connecting to 3G after 6.0.2 update

Since updating to 6.0.2 my iPhone 5 is having problems sending texts (often - but not always - says texts weren't sent and must hit "retry" a couple times) and having problems connecting to 3G even in zones with good coverage. In general it's much slower than before the update when connecting to 3G. I don't know if this is due to Sprint or due to the update? Yes, I have turned it on and off many times and reset my settings, but it hasn't helped. Anybody else experience this problem?

Could be an issue with your Carrier and/or location...
The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart.. Reset.. Restore from Backup... Restore as New...
Try a Reset...
Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release the buttons...

I have moved from uk to Ireland and changed my mobile provider, but I can't send texts to uk numbers. My service provider say it is an I phone problem, not a service provider problem.

They have checked it out by my using a different SIM card, but I still cannot send texts. They say it is problem with my iPhone 4's settings and told me to contact apple. Can anyone help me?

If you can find out what country your iPhone was officially sold in, you could take it there (or if originally sold in the EU, take it to any EU country where Apple officially sells the iPhone) or you could send the iPhone to someone you know in that country who could get it serviced and then ship it back to you. Apple Support does not accept shipments from other countries, and will not ship a serviced iPhone to another country.
This, though, presumes that the iPhone has not been modified as your service provider claimed. If it has, Apple will not provide service for it in any country.
You may be able to find out what country your iPhone was officially sold in by calling Apple Support:

and giving them the serial number.
