Sending texts; will send to one person, not two or more

Just switched messaging client from "Messages" to ATT messaging client. I can receive texts okay, and can send okay... except to just one person. When I add a second name (or more), I get a message that says, "Delivery failed. Tap and hold to resend". When I do that, it sort of freezes... the little wheel just keeps spinning with no end. I have to delete the message.What's up?

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with iMessage. I recommend the following steps for the issue you described:
To resolve issues with sending and receiving iMessages, follow these steps first
Check iMessage system status for current service issues.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure that you have registered iMessage with your phone number or Apple ID and that you have selected iMessage for use. Learn more abouttroubleshooting iMessage registration if the phone number or Apple ID isn't available for use.
Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify data connectivity. Learn more about troubleshootingcellular data or a Wi-Fi connection if a data connection isn't available.
iMessage over cellular data might not be available while on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while on a call if your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls.
Restart your device.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
If you are still unable to send or receive an iMessage, follow these steps
Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
Verify that the contact you are attempting to send a message to is registered with iMessage.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up orforward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact in the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
Back up and restore your device as new.

I would like to be able to close one tab, and go back to the previous tab that I have open, not have to go back and sign in to my email when it should still be open. The dialog Firefox displays when you click the "close window" (X) button doesn't have the option to only close the current tab. Instead, you can use one of these methods to close just the current tab:
* Click the "x" that should appear on the current tab itself
* Right-click the current tab > Close tab
* Press Ctrl+w to close the current tab
(Note: If you accidentally press Ctrl+w twice, you can re-open the tab by pressing Ctrl+Shift+t to Undo Close Tab)

Hello railenemarie16, let's solve this mystery together! Have you tried deleting your contact from her device and then re-adding? Also, have her send you a message manually instead of from the saved contact. Did you have an iPhone previously before the Note 3 and used iMessage? Keep us posted!

I have OS X 10.9.2. and have downloaded Maverick. If I am sending an email message to one person, options for addresses from my Address Book appear. However if I want to send it to more than one person, the potential addresses for the other persons do not show. Can you please help?

Install ClamXav and run a scan with that. It should pick up any trojans.

How to send a message to just one person when it keeps sending to previous group?

I want to be able to send a text message to just one person at a time.
My iPhone 4s keeps sending messages to all the people that have been grouped with the intended recipient, no matter if I put ONLY that recipients name in the box.
I have:
     - cleared out the list of previous messages (even tho I hated to do so).
    - turned off group messaging.
     - shut down my phone, waited 30 min and restarted it.
None of that worked,

You can send the other contacts SMS but not only one contact, Right?
Then the issue is with your contact, maybe the number is not right or not the right format.
So check your contact number with number which you can send SMS.
Maybe it is best to delete that contact and create new contact which the format is the same with the others.

My iPhone won't let me send picture messages except to one person

Recently I noticed that I can only send picture messages to one person. My iMessage setting is turned on, I have shut my phone off and then back on and it will still only let me send pictures to one person. Can anyone help?

Utility to send text file over GPIB, one line at a time?

We are developing instrumentation that receives data and commmands over GPIB as plain text, and returns them as well. I'd like to create GPIB "batch" files and send them over the bus, one line at a time, so I can debug the instruments' behavior. I'd also like to be able to read back responses, one line at a time.
Is there such a utility? I've got our programmer working on something like this, but I'd hate to have him re-invent an existing wheel.

Apart from NI-SPY, I have not heard of such a utility. This may be simple to implement using proper termination. If the instrument is capable of sending line feeds or carriage return, you should be able to easily create a document. Also, using IBWRTF, you could write the ASCII file (containing the termination characters) to the bus. Depending on how you have your timeouts specified, this may be ideal.
Alternately, if you read a static amount of data, you could IBRD chunks of data. the result may need editing for broken words at the end of a line but would achieve such a result.

Why can't I send or receive iMessages from one person but I can from all my other friends?

As of Last Monday I haven't been able to send or receive iMessages for one of my friends when I send the message it says delivered but that person dosent receive it but it works for all my other friends and it work if I send a normal SMS text help pls I'm really confused thanks in advance :)

It sounds like your or your friend had gotten hit by the "iMessage bug" that Apple has confirmed. They state it is only impacting a fraction of a percent of the iPhone users (which means it could be over 90,000 iphone users since 9 million were sold recently). I would have both you and yoru friend restart your iPhones (hold the home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears - it shoudl take about 10-20 seconds) then wait for the iPhone to restart and try sending an iMessage again.

I can send text messages within Australia but can not sent text messages internationally. Has anyone experienced similar problems?

SMS text messages are handled by your cellular carrier.
Check with them.

Can't send text message--Send button "grayed out"

When texting about 70% of the time the send button is grayed out. I've checked to make sure the recipients phone # has the area code.
I have to retype the message several times and with no rhyme or reason that I can discern it's finally sendable. I've reset the phone
and sometimes that works. I called the genious line and was told basically "it's a bug" --not a great answer. Same thing happened on my 3gs
Any thoughts on the matter?

My iphone 4 does the same thing. I keep exiting text messages and then reopening and typing the first letter of my text to see if the send icon will whiten from the grey. Really a pain and waste of time. I thought I would look around here for a solution before making appt with the apple store.

One person not receiving Mail

I only have one person that doesn't receive any E-Mail I send. I do remember a time when the Mac Mail asked me for a password, AGAIN. I may have taken All Accounts Offline but I put them back Online after. I also had the recipient check with their ISP to see if there was anything stopping my emails. I also sent any email through my account using Safari and there wasn't any problem. What is the cause of this and how can I fix it?

I had the same issue pop up suddenly. My daughter, on Comcast, could send e-mails to others, but not to us. It worked if she went through a neighbor's wireless, and if she sent from Comcast website. I checked my Verizon online spam folder, and saw nothing there. Turns out that the spam folder deletes assumed spam immediately. When I changed it to saving spam, it became obvious what was happening. I put her address on the "Safe List," identified the supposed spam as "Not Spam," and everything is working.

Video chat works to one person, not to other

I am on the road w/my iBook G4. I have no trouble establishing a video chat with one person, but can't get it to work when I try to connect to my home machine. My home machine can do a video chat to someone else. it gives me a failed to connect, or the person declined the invitation message. any help?

There a limited number of Hosts who monitor the content for offensive and posts against the Term and Conditions.
There is some evidence that some information is taken from the forums and made into Knowledge Docs, but it is rare.
From the iChat menu there is a link to the iChat Feedback page and 10.4.7 now includes a log creation that you can send to Apple on certian types of connection failure.
As different modems and routers do actually use different forms of NAT (Network Address Translation) used when people use Port Forwarding, Triggering or DMZ then there can be problems with connection when the devices don't "Play Nicely".
We would ned to know more about the devices involved to comment further

HT1670 Sync iPhone/Entourage will only recognize one of my two iPhones?

I have two iPhones. One I have managed to sync no problem, but the second is just not interested! A friend told me that with iPhone/Entourage will only recognize one iPhone, if so is there anything I can do to sync my second phone?
