Sending to Distribution Groups from External Addresses

Hi,
I am trying to send to a EX2013 Distribution list from the outside world. The list contains both internal users and external contacts. If I send it from internally the list gets send out correctly, if i try and send it out from the outside world only internal
users receive the emails but there is no errors or NDRs to tell me why.
I have allowed '<label for="ResultPanePlaceHolder_EditMailGroup_deliveryManagementSection_contentContainer_rblRequireSenderAuthentication_1" id="ResultPanePlaceHolder_EditMailGroup_deliveryManagementSection_contentContainer_rblRequireSenderAuthentication_1_label">Senders
inside and outside of my organization' in the Delivery Management tab.</label>
I do use GFI which shows the emails but just says OK so it doesn't seem like its that which is the issue.
Can anyone help please. I did do a Powershell but cannot remember what it was.

Hi ,
On my side i will not prefer ecp for message tracking. Instead i will prefer EMS.
Below command will be used on the exchange management shell to have a grid-view on the output.
Get-TransportService | Get-MessageTrackingLog -Sender "external user" -ResultSize unlimited -MessageSubject "test" | Select-Object eventid,sender,timestamp,@{Name="Recipients";Expression={$_.recipients}},@{Name="RecipientStatus";Expression={$_.recipientstatus}},messagesubject
| Out-GridView
(or)
Below command will be used on the exchange management shell to have the output on the csv file.
Get-TransportService | Get-MessageTrackingLog -Sender "External user" -ResultSize unlimited -MessageSubject "test" | Select-Object eventid,sender,timestamp,@{Name="Recipients";Expression={$_.recipients}},@{Name="RecipientStatus";Expression={$_.recipientstatus}},messagesubject
| Export-csv c:\nithya.csv

when emailing a photo from the updated iPhoto, how do I find the CC and BCC button, and how do I send to a group from my address book?

The email function from iPhoto is pretty basic. The only Bcc available is to yourself (in iPhoto > Preferences > Advanced), cc: does not appear to be available at all, and it does not appear you can email to a group.
You can change this by going to iPhoto > Preferences > General and next to where it says Email photos using: select Mail. If you do this you have all the options available in Mail including Cc: and Bcc: and the ability to drag a group from Address Book into the mail addresses.
    Best of luck.

  • Mail will not send to a Group from my Address Book

When I use a group in "Mail" to send an email, the email only reaches those with Blackberry's or .mac accounts. I even expanded the list and it still did not send. Can anyone please help???

Hi Zach, and a warm welcome to the forums!
I'm no Mail expert, I only leave it installed in an attempt to help out here, but I do have a couple of questions for you.
Are you dragging the Group to the TO: box, or the BCC: box?
    How many arein the Group?

  • How do I send a group from my address book to someone else?

How do I SEND A GROUP FROM MY ADDRESS BOOK TO SOMEONE ELSE.

Yes you can by creating a group and then dragging the contacts in to it. However, since iCloud, the Edit Distribution List feature has been grayed out. Without that feature, it is not possible to specifically select a single email address for those contacts that have multiple email addresses. A major flaw that will hopefully be fixed.

When I try to send e-mail I get an error message stating that the e-mail address was rejected by the server.  When I send to e-mail from another address, I get back an error saying the e-mail address is unknown.  My e-mail has worked fine for years until yesterday.  HELP!

The specific text of the error message is very important here — I'm not sure exactly you're encountering here.
If you're able to connect to your email server and are able send email to other email addresses and if the failures are specific to one email recipient address, then please contact the intended recipient of the failing email, and confirm their address is valid.  (This is the way I'm reading your question.)
If you are unable to send any email to any other email addresses and this is specific to your email address, then try the web mail client interface (if one is available) to verify your login user and password, and check with your email ISP for assistance.  If your email password works via web mail, follow this Apple troubleshooting guide, then — if everything else fails — I'd probably then entirely remove the email account from Mail.app and re-add it per your email ISP's particular setup requirements.  (Some issue with the setup or maybe a corrupt setting in OS X or a problem at the mail ISP servers is a common problem, but this effects attempts to send to all email addresses via that account.)
An email account setup is specific to an email provider, unfortunately.   If you're using one of the more common email ISPs, then there are usually setup guides and frequently-asked questions posted online.

  • Creating Target Group from External File

    Hello Experts
We need to create target group from external file. (That is to say we will have let's say txt file containing BP that belongs to specific target group and we need to assign these BPs to to specific target group in SAP CRM)
I have searched for it on sdn and found something benefical. I have found BAPI_TARGETGROUP_CREATE, I have checked it but I don't understand how should we use it becuase as far as we understand it just creates target group, we cannot see anything related with Business Partner. How can we relate BPs with the target group we create by this BAPI.
What should we do, is anyone have previous experience about it? or is there a way to do it without using BAPI.
    thanks it advance

    Hi,
You can do this from within the standard Web UI. It's straight out of the box.
Create a profile set and in there create a target group in the target group assignment block just by entering the description of the target group. Then enter edit mode of this target group and click the button "Import Members". Remeber to mark "Change selected target group" unless you want to create a new target group.

  • How do i CC: a group from my address book

when I reply to a message, how do I pick a group from my address list and have the reply cc:'ed to everyone in that group ?
in the "WRITE" box that pops up, there's no reference to address list and when I start typing the name of the group, it does not come up in the suggested completions.
    thanks
    richard

In principle, open a Cc: box in your email message composition window, and add the "group" (aka Mailing List) to that.
Is it OK for all the members of the List to see and know each others' addresses? Would Bcc: be appropriate?
I don't like the sound of the Mailing List not being volunteered as a possible address. What if you use F9 to reveal the Contacts Sidebar and add it from there?

When sending/receiving an iMessage (from gmail address) how can I then receive or access my iMessages on my actual gmail account/inbox?

    Hi,
The Messages app can join 5 different services.
The "iChat Originals" that include AIM, Jabber and Yahoo (although they were added at different times to the app)
The Bonjour account that has been present for LAN based Mac to Mac chat and lastly the iMessages account in the Messages app that iChat has become.
Google email IDs can be used as a Jabber ID in Messages as Google run a Jabber server.
As the Google server does not follow conventional naming formatting it has it's own Add option in Messages.
Effectively all the services are separate.
Any email used as an Apple ID can be the iMessages account.
Of course this may be a Google one like you have that can also be used as  Jabber/GoogleTalk ID or it may be an Apple issued ID (@mac.com @me.com or @icloud.com) that will also work as a Valid AIM Screen Name.
It may be that someone has their Yahoo email as their Apple ID.

  • Exchange 2010 Mail Enabled Distribution Group Won't Receive from External Address

Let me pre-empt the usual first response: yes, I've unchecked "require that all senders are authenticated" on the Message delivery Restrictions properties of Message Delivery Restrictions. I cannot get a message from an external mail server to
send to an internal mail-enable distribution group. It's working internally. I've checked our ironport and the message is being sent to exchange (at least I think it is).
    How can I troubleshoot this?!

Ironport is definitely sending this email to exchange. Please read:
