Sending to members of group, "can't send" to some

I have an address book group of about 180 members of an organization, to whom I periodically send emails. I am accustomed to getting "could not deliver" emails back, when addresses are defunct or mis-typed.
But what is up with Mail telling me that the server me.com "did not recognize" certain addresses, which I know are good addresses? I am given the option to try another server; when I tried my gmail account, there were dozens of addresses "not recognized".
The connexion is fine, checked that with Connection Doctor and looked at the detail display but couldn't tell what was going on.

I can't use "group" email aliases on my primary (gmail) account. This is even true when I enter gmail through Safari and choose the option at the bottom of the page that says "desktop". This allows me to see what I see on my laptop while using the iPad, but it does not allow me to send to a group, nor does it allow me to enter any text in the "message" part of the email. Very terrible for me, as I am about to travel with my iPad and had promised to write travel journal to a large group of friends. Now I see this may not be possible with iPad. That *****!

    Thanks for that 'sberman' - because my iPhone is backed-up to my work computer (only at this stage) I have had to call our IT Department in Adleaide. (4 times this morning). The last guy managed to get the phone into 'DFU Mode' - no more recovery mode screen - (kind of 'asleep' perhaps) from my understanding of same. I am awaiting a call again from IT so they can get my computer to actually recognise my iPhone on the C Drive. This also happened to  one of my colleagues in Newman (WA). She got so frustrated with the whole process that she bought another phone the next time she was in 'civilisation.' She hasn't had any problems since. (Cross fingers).
    Thanks again, Sandra2474.

    Can any send me some docs on BAPI. If possible please send the docs on ID :- [email protected]

    Hi Dilip
    I am sending you some material on BAPI, pls go thru it.
    Pls reward pts if help.
    Regards
    Deepanker
    what is BAPI?
    BAPI stands for Business API(Application Program Interface).
    A BAPI is remotely enabled function module ie it can be invoked from remote programs like standalone JAVA programs, web interface etc..
    You can make your function module remotely enabled in attributes of Function module but
    A BAPI are standard SAP function modules provided by SAP for remote access. Also they are part of Businees Objest Repository(BOR).
    BAPI are RFC enabled function modules. the difference between RFc and BAPI are business objects. You create business objects and those are then registered in your BOR (Business Object Repository) which can be accessed outside the SAP system by using some other applications (Non-SAP) such as VB or JAVA. in this case u only specify the business object and its method from external system in BAPI there is no direct system call. while RFC are direct system call Some BAPIs provide basic functions and can be used for most SAP business object types. These BAPIs should be implemented the same for all business object types. Standardized BAPIs are easier to use and prevent users having to deal with a number of different BAPIs. Whenever possible, a standardized BAPI must be used in preference to an individual BAPI.
    The following standardized BAPIs are provided:
    Reading instances of SAP business objects
    GetList ( ) With the BAPI GetList you can select a range of object key values, for example, company codes and material numbers.
    The BAPI GetList() is a class method.
    GetDetail() With the BAPI GetDetail() the details of an instance of a business object type are retrieved and returned to the calling program. The instance is identified via its key. The BAPI GetDetail() is an instance method. BAPIs that can create, change or delete instances of a business object type
    The following BAPIs of the same object type have to be programmed so that they can be called several times within one transaction. For example, if, after sales order 1 has been created, a second sales order 2 is created in the same transaction, the second BAPI call must not affect the consistency of the sales order 2. After completing the transaction with a COMMIT WORK, both the orders are saved consistently in the database.
    Create( ) and CreateFromData! ( )
    The BAPIs Create() and CreateFromData() create an instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. These BAPIs are class methods.
    Change( )
    The BAPI Change() changes an existing instance of an SAP business object type, for example, a purchase order. The BAPI Change () is an instance method.
    Delete( ) and Undelete( ) The BAPI Delete() deletes an instance of an SAP business object type from the database or sets a deletion flag.
    The BAPI Undelete() removes a deletion flag. These BAPIs are instance methods.
    Cancel ( ) Unlike the BAPI Delete(), the BAPI Cancel() cancels an instance of a business object type. The instance to be cancelled remains in the database and an additional instance is created and this is the one that is actually canceled. The Cancel() BAPI is an instance method.
    Add<subobject> ( ) and Remove<subobject> ( ) The BAPI Add<subobject> adds a subobject to an existing object inst! ance and the BAPI and Remove<subobject> removes a subobject from an object instance. These BAPIs are instance methods.

    Bdc to Bapi
    The steps to be followed are :
    1. Find out the relevant BAPI (BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE for VA02).
    [for VA01 use BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2]
    2. Create a Z program and call the BAPi (same as a Funtion module call).
    2. Now, if you see this BAPi, it has
    -> Importing structures.
    eg: SALESDOCUMENT: this will take the Sales order header data as input.
    -> Tables parameters:
    eg: ORDER_ITEM_IN: this will take the line item data as input.
    Note :
    Only specify fields that should be changed
    Select these fields by entering an X in the checkboxes
    Enter a U in the UPDATEFLAG field
    Always specify key fields when changing the data, including in the checkboxes
    The configuration is an exception here. If this needs to be changed, you need to complete it again fully.
    Maintain quantities and dates in the schedule line data
    Possible UPDATEFLAGS:
    U = change
    D = delete
    I = add
    Example
    1. Delete the whole order
    2. Delete order items
    3. Change the order
    4. Change the configuration
    Notes
    1. Minimum entry:
    You must enter the order number in the SALESDOCUMENT structure.
    You must always enter key fields for changes.
    You must always specify the update indicator in the ORDER_HEADER_INX.
    2. Commit control:
    The BAPI does not run a database Commit, which means that the application must trigger the Commit so that the changes are read to the database. To do this, use the BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT BAPI.
    For further details... refer to the Function Module documentation for the BAPi.
    Bapi to VB(Visual Basic)
    Long back I had used the following flow structure to acheive the same.
    Report -> SM59 RFC destination -> COM4ABAP -> VB.exe
    my report uses the rfc destination to create a COM session with com4abap. com4abap calls the vb.exe and manages the flow of data between sap and vb exe.
    You need to have com4abap.exe
    If com4abap is installed you will find it in sapgui installatin directory , C:\Program Files\SAPpc\sapgui\RFCSDK\com4abap.
    else refer OSS note 419822 for installation of com4abap
    after making the settings in com4abap to point to the vb program and setting up rfc destination in sm59 to point to com4abap session , you can use the following function modules to call the vb code.
    for setting up com4abap and rfc destination please refer to the documentation for com4abap.
    Invoke NEW DCOM session
    call function 'BEGIN_COM_SESSION'
    exporting
    service_dest = service_dest "(this will be a RFC destination created in SM59)
    importing
    worker_dest = worker_dest
    exceptions
    connect_to_dcom_service_failed = 1
    connect_to_dcom_worker_failed = 2
    others = 3.
    call function 'create_com_instance' destination worker_dest

    exceptions
    communication_failure = 1 message g_f_msg
    system_failure = 2 message g_f_msg
    invalid_instance_id = 3
    others = 4.
    then close the com session , using
    FM delete_com_instance
    FM END_COM_SESSION

    i have all the correct settings for my e mail but i can't send for some reason it keeps taking my outgoing server offline can anyone help

    If you can receive mail and your connection to your ISP is otherwise working, but cannot send mail, then your SMTP settings are incorrect; the SMTP server port is wrong, your SSL setting is wrong, or the username or password credentials don't match what the ISP has, or your attempted accesses are being blocked or your ISP SMTP server is offline.
    And in general, don't use port 25 for your outbound mail, unless your ISP specifically requires that; these days, that port is best left to communications between mail servers and (usually) not used by any mail clients.

    Firstly SAP Mail
    A SAP mail is a mail internal to the SAP system. It is a very good forum to exchange information with other users. Using a SAP mail in ABAP code facilitates exchange of automatic messages at various stages of the business process. It is easy to use and saves many hassles involved in using workflows for exchanging messages.
    The ABAP code to send a sap mail is built around the FM SO_OBJECT_SEND which has the following pattern.

    Classical Report is a normal report which just displays the output.User cannot interact with that report.
    Interactive Report is nothing but, a user can interacte with the report.After a basic list is displayed, user can click on some field on the list which generates a secondary list giving the necessary information relevant to that field.
    ALV Report is to provide users with a consistent, user friendly and functional method of manipulating the data, which appears on report lists. ALV provides more advantages than the normal report

  • Would you like to send me some Document about ALE EDI IDOC

    hi experts:
    I am learning about ALE,EDI,IDOC,would you like to send me some Document about ALE EDI IDOC?which can include the details of Steps,best it can have the Pictures,thanks a lot.

    Hi Niel,
    There may be a problem with the definition of the rule to delete the characteristic. If you go to transaction RSMRT
    and use the 'check' option to check the rule you created are there any errors for the check?
    If not when you get the error message that you mention is there any additional error messages created in sm21
    or dumps in ST22?
    If not there may be a problem with the consistency of the cube if you goto RSRV>All Elementary tests>Transaction data
    and run these tests for the cubes are there any error messages? If yes please try to use the repair function in RSRV
    to correct any errors.
    If none of the above helps you should delete the run you created, make a dummy change to the cube (e.g add a '.'
    to the description of the cube, save the change and then activate the cube, please then try and create the
    remodelling rule again.
    Best Regards,
    Des.

  • Combing members to group on one line

    HI,
    I am running into a problem that I hope somebody can help with. I am using CR 2008 with BW as a datasource. What I am attempting to do is combine multiple members from one dimension and then group on that set in one line.  I have been able to combine the members using both the concatenate function and also a combination of text variables but when I group on the set what I get  is (assuming the set is members A,B,C)
    Key Figure
    GH1 Member A      10
    GH1 Member B       20
    GH1 Member C       40
    What I am looking for is
    Key Figure
    GH1 Member A,B,C            70
    It seem like the makearray function might work but when I try to do that I get an error message saying that "the result of a formula cannot be an array".
    As always, any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Andy

    Hi Jason,
    Thanks for the info. I am very new to crystal reports so please forgive me if I am readng the formula incorrectly but I do not think that variable will work for what I am trying to do. It appears that variable is building an array of all customer ids that resets each time the group data item(country changes). I am trying to combine two specific members  and group them on one line with a total for both members.
    The report I am building requires a crosstab set up with each line being a specifc node (and in one case 2 nodes) on a hierarchy. The problem is that the layout is not the same as the hierarchy layout so that node 14 of the hierarchy is placed after node 18 so I can't just group on the hierarchy. Grouping by specified order isn't working for me (or I can't make it work for me) for a host of reasons.
    Anyway, I have been able to specify the individual nodes by creating a variable to pull the hierachy node names. I then created a series of If then statements like
    If {node variable} = "Node 14" then "Node 14" else null. I then group on each of the individual formulas and suppress null values. This works great except for the one row that is comprised of 2 nodes.
    Like I said I can write a statement that pulls both nodes together but when I group on that item they get split back into 2 seperate rows rather than just one with the total for both members .
    Once again, thanks for your input.

  • Mail won't send to some addresses from Macbook

    I have the correct email address but sometimes my email will not send. I have noticed it happening since I got my iPhone. The recipient I see it the most happening is to someone else who has an iPhone. My messages will send fine to the recipient from my iPhone, but from my macbook, it will not send. A message pops up where I have to select server. I have tried all 4 that they have given me. Some days the emails do send, but some days out of the blue, they will not send.

    For some reason, Mail prevents sending to multiple
    addresses (if they're in a group) if you've indicated
    in "preferences" (under "composing") that you do not
    want addressees' names to be shown in the "to" field.
    The only way to send to a group is to allow the names
    to be shown.
    I, and others, have mentioned this ever since Mail
    arrived. Apple has not yet fixed the
    bug.
    This royally bites! I had this same problem before, and was told that by upgrading to Mail 2, (Tiger), it would fix this!
    I sure as heck don't want all the names listed, that is very unprofessional.
    Will it work if the addresses are "shown", but are in the BCC window?

  • Server constantly sending out some thing!

    Hi all,
    In my last few days, or nearly two weeks I guess, my server is sending out some thing constanly. Do you know what is that? may be this is FlashBack behaviour?
    And I check Activity Monitor\ Disk Activity almost is equal 0,  and Activity Monitor\ Network is almost sending out.
    I hope this is not virus or malware!
    Any help is appriciate, thanks!

    Hi Hoffman,
    I truly appreciate the time you are taking to assist me, great helper as usuall!
    I am using latest Snow Leopard 10.6.8, included fixs from Apple about FlashBack.

  • Please send me some good links on System Function Calls

    Hi,
    I want to know more about System Function calls. Please send me some good links on the same.
    Eg : CALL 'C_DIR_READ_NEXT'
          ID 'TYPE'   FIELD file-type
          ID 'NAME'   FIELD file-name
          ID 'LEN'    FIELD file-len
          ID 'OWNER'  FIELD file-owner
          ID 'MTIME'  FIELD file-mtime
          ID 'MODE'   FIELD file-mode
          ID 'ERRNO'  FIELD file-errno
          ID 'ERRMSG' FIELD file-errmsg.
    Rgds,
    Raghavendra.

    Hi,
    <u><b>CALL - Call a System Function:</b></u>
    <b>Note</b>
    This statement is for internal use only.
    It cannot be used in application programs.
    As of Release 6.20, you should use Kernel Methods instead of system functions.
    <b>Syntax</b>
    CALL cfunc.
    Addition:
    ... ID id1 FIELD f1 ... ID idn FIELD fn
    <b>Effect</b>
    Calls the system function cfunc. The relevant function must exist in the file sapactab.h. If you change or recreate a function, you have to compile and link the SAP kernel again. For this, you need the C source code files.
    Normally, external programs should be called by RFC with CALL FUNCTION ... DESTINATION.
    <b>Addition</b>
    ... ID id1 FIELD f1 ... ID idn FIELD fn
    <b>Effect</b>
    Passes fields to the called program by reference. With "ID id1", you specify the name of a formal parameter, and with "FIELD f1" the relevant field from the ABAP/4 program. If a formal parameter expects an internal table, the latter is passed in the form "FIELD tab[]".
    Example
    DATA RESULT(8).
    CALL 'MULTIPLY' ID 'P1'  FIELD '9999'
                    ID 'P2'  FIELD '9999'
                    ID 'RES' FIELD RESULT.
    <b>Note</b>
    With some critical C functions, the system automatically performs an authorization check. If the user does not have the appropriate authorization, a runtime error occurs. You can check the authorization with the function module AUTHORITY_CHECK_C_FUNCTION.
    <b>Exceptions</b>
    Non-Catchable Exceptions
    Cause: You do not have the authorization to call this C function.
    Runtime Error: CALL_C_FUNCTION_NO_AUTHORITY
    Cause: The system function specified is unknown.
    Runtime Error: CALL_C_FUNCTION_NOT_FOUND
    Cause: The system function SYSTEM is deactivated (in CALL 'SYSTEM')
    Runtime Error: CALL_SYSTEM_DISABLED
