Sending to the Photo Stream when not on wireless.

I was really hoping that iOS7 would allow pushing to the main photo stream when your not connected to wireless. I don't mind if you have to manually push so you know your using your data plan, I'm unlimited so I don't care, I just want to be able to push. I think I can use one of the added streams but if I can use those why not the main stream?
Come on Apply fix this.

It's on and I believe I receive the photo stream when on Cellular but it won't send and I'm 99% sure this is by design.
This is really stupid on Apples part and I love Apple. Don't flat out block photostream sending when on Cellular, have a switch so it's the users choice. Sure by default set it to no but once we set it to yes then it's our choice. I have no problem popping up a box askting us if they are sure we want to do it since it will use more data but darn it give us the choice.

    Hello there, Tamghosh.
The following Knowledge Base article provides some good steps to use for troubleshooting the issue you're describing:
    iCloud: Photo Stream troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3989
    Particularly:
I don't see photos in Photo Stream on my iOS device.
    Check the following:
From your Home screen, tap Settings > iCloud > Photo Stream, and make sure the slider is set to the ON position.
From the Home screen, tap Settings > Wi-Fi, make sure the slider is set to ON, and that your device is connected to a wireless network.
Ensure that Camera app is closed on the device where you took the photo. Photo Stream will not upload photos from an iOS device until the Camera app is closed.
Ensure your iOS device has not fallen below 20% battery power. To preserve battery life, Photo Stream downloading and uploading are disabled when the battery reaches this threshold. Downloading and uploading will resume once you charge your device, and the battery charge is greater than 20%.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro D.

  • How can I delete those photos that are just plain oops from my photo stream on all of my devices.  The photo stream does not have a delete option on the iPhone

please help me delete the photos from my iPhone in photo stream that are on my iCloud server.  It is not clear how to delete

I just looked at mine. When I go into photostream, and click on a photo, on the bottom right corner I have a trash can.
    I have iPhone 5 running 6.0.2

  • If I delete a photo on my iPhone will it also delete from the photo stream on my mac in iPhoto?

I have run out of memory on my iPhone. I want to delete some photos on my iPhone but I want to make sure they will stay on my Macbook in photo stream.

If you have your iPhoto library set to automatically import Photo Stream photos
they will not be removed from the library (but will from the  Photo Stream) when deleted from the iPhone).  If you don't have the Autokmatic Import checked the select the Photo Stream photos in your LIbrary and drag them onto the Events icon in the left hand pane to import them.  Then you can delete from your iPhone.

  • Photo Stream showing not my photos

Hi! I suddenly find photos belonging to people unknown to me in my iPhone 4S Photo Stream. I do not use Photo Stream for my own photos. In iCloud on my iMac the Photo Stream option is not even tick-marked. On the iPhone though My Photo Stream, Documents & Data options and Find My iPhone are the only options under iCloud On. I have a very strong password and my home Wi-Fi is also password protected. What is going on?

If the Photo Stream photos that are missing are over a month old, or if you had more than 1000 photos, then they are no longer on the Photo Stream. The Photo Stream is not designed as a backup for your photos. It's primary purpose is to share photos among devices signed onto the same iCloud account. If the missing photos were on your Camera Roll as well, and you have an iCloud backup, you can restore to that backup.
If they were not, and you did not import your photos to your computer, then they are gone. Sorry

  • I can't get my photos from the photo stream to transfer to PC, I can't get my photos from the photo stream to transfer to PC

I am trying to prepare our Ipad2 to give to our mother in law.  I am trying to transfer all our photos to my PC.  I am noticing that all the photos are not appearing on the PC.  I am going to my computer, files, ipad, internal storage, dcim, and several folders come up.  I have already copied and pasted most photos.  However, several recent photos on the photo stream are not appearing under any of these folders?  I am not sure what to do?

probably the best way to get photos from the pad to your computer is to simply plug it in and import them.  if you are using a mac, open i photo - the pad will appears as a device on the laft navigation bar, and will ask if you want to import.  it may or may not be able to tell if they are already there.  (let us know how that works).
If you are using a pc - plug the pad in, and it should appear in my computer as a storage device.  You can move the photos to where ever you are storing them on your PC.

  • Can i add a sound alert or message when someone comments on a pic of a photo stream when i am only another participant (not owner of the photstream)?

    Hi,
How can i add a sound alert or message when someone comments on a pic of a photo stream when i am only another participant (not owner of the photstream)? Thank you. Joana

    Joana,
    that should be automatic.
    See: http://help.apple.com/iphoto/mac/9.4/#pht884a8908
When you like or comment on a photo in a shared stream, a notification is sent to all the Apple devices of the photo stream’s creator and subscribers. You can delete comments you added to a photo by placing the pointer over the comment and clicking the Delete button that appears.
Usually the problem is the other way round - how to prervent spamming all subscribers to a shared stream from being alerted to each comment on a photo in the stream. Quite a few subcribers have cancelled their subscriptions to shared streams, because they have continously been sent alert messages and could not disable them. It can get rather annoying - there is no way to silently add a few comments to photos and then send only one alert.

  • When I create a photo stream in ios6, everyone who is logged in to my iCloud account can see and edit my stream (on their iPhones only). Not just the email addressees that I sent the photo stream link to. Is that how photo stream security is meant to work

When I create a photo stream in ios6, everyone who is logged in to my iCloud account can see and edit my stream (on their iPhones only). Not just the email addressees that I sent the photo stream link to. Is that how photo stream security is meant to work? Is so it means my whole family can see any photo stream I set up. Hence no security? Can't share the pics with the wife then :(

The whole idea to an icloud account is that one user uses it and has all their devices synced together.  Different users need different Apple IDs to create their own icloud accounts.  Note that everyone can still use the same ID for an iTunes account (to share purchases).

  • How come when you delete a photo in photo stream folder (PC), it is not deleted in the photo stream (iPhone)?

If you upload a photo in the 'Photo Stream Uploads' folder (PC), it is automatically imported to iPhone (via Wi-Fi). How come when you delete a photo from the Photo Stream folder (PC), it is not deleted in the Photo Stream (iPhone)?? I mean doesn't iCloud automatically update the changes? thanks.

You cannot delete photos from the photo stream.  You can only log into icloud and in your account, you can delete photo stream and start fresh.  It is rumored that the next upgrade to iOS will allow deletions of single photos from the stream, but not yet.

  • HT201317 I am trying to turn Photo Stream on - on my Mac when I get to the space where you are supposed to click the icon and go to Photo Stream - Photo Stream is not highlighted and nothing happens when I click on it -- what do I do?

I am trying to turn Photo Stream on - on my Mac when I get to the space where you are supposed to click on the Photo Stream icon -- the icon is not highlighted and when I click on it nothing happens --- what should I do?

the space that I am referring is the "screen" that pops up after I go to Apple icon - select System Preferences - the iCloud screen pops up and you are supposed to be able to click on the Photo Stream icon to turn Photo Stream on.  Well, the icon "Photo Stream" is not highlighted and has no check box so that I can select it to get to the screen that will let me turn Photo Stream on.

  • HT5824 When I go to my I cloud accout I do not see my photo stream. I have check my I phone 5 and I have the photo stream I cloud back up on. Should I be able to see my photos when I go to my I cloud accout on line?

Should I be able to see my photos when I go to my I cloud account? On my I phone 5 s I have the photo stream turned on , but cannot see any of my photos in the cloud

No. Photo Stream is no accessible from iCloud.com.
Photo Stream is meant to sync photos between devices and is not in the cloud storage.
You may be able to access Photo Stream from your computer:
Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later and iPhoto 9.2.2 or Aperture 3.2.3 or later
PC with Windows 7 or later and the iCloud Control Panel 2.1 or later for Windows

  • Where are my photos when I save them from facebook?  They are not in the photo stream.

The photos cannot be located in the photos stream in either location.

In what orientation were the photos taken, i.e. portrait or landscape?  As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library.  Import some photos from your iPhone and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

  • HT201317 The photo stream flower icon is not showing up on my icloud account?! Why?

The photo stream flower icon is not showing up on my icloud account.  The only icons are Mail, contacts, calendar and iwrok.  What can I do??

Basically Apple actually took away the Gallery capability we used to have with me.com when they replaced it with Photo Stream. So there is no way to see on the web, nor send a URL to friends to share the pictures like you used to be able to do with Gallery. To do that, you will need to push those photos to an external service such as Snapfish or Flickr or a social media site.

  • How can I send pictures from my I-phone to the photo stream on the I-pad

How can I send pictures from my I-phone to the photo stream on the I-pad

You need to have them both on the same iCloud ID with photo stream ON both devices.  Then when you take a photo with one device it will be sent to photo stream on the other device.  Pictures already taken before enabling photo stream will not be transferred.
