Sending UTL_SMTP mail with Multiple attachment

Hi,
My Environment ----> Oracle Database 11g r1 on Windows 2003 Server (64Bit).
The below script i used for sending mail with single attachment now i am trying to send mail with multiple attachment please tell me how to achieve this

Thanks for your reply, below script i used to send mail with multiple attachments, plsql code is executing without any error messages and i am also able to receive mail with the multiple attachment.
i used your code which u posted in OTN then i changed little bit as per my need, output is ok.but the problem is if i want to add one more file then i have to add more varaiables in the code. i want to make the code which i can add more attachments without adding more varaiables i don't know the way to do this. can u please give me some hints.

Take a look at the documentation of FM 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1' for parameter PACKING_LIST. I think you should set t_packing_list-head_num to a different value than 0 for the second attachment.

How to send mail with multiple attachment. The documents are in a table column BLOB. Read and attach in to mail directly.
We dont want save the documents into hard disk and attach to mail. Please Help

Thanks for your reply, already tried this methods, Its not working for my requirements. Because my attachment is can be any type like pdf,doc,txt,xls,jpg,.
And also the Utl_mail is very slow. Its using RAW type.
I can use the javamail package to solve this problem, this javamail package needs to download into server from there you can attach thus documents into mail. But I want fetch the documents and ate the same time I want attach to a mail. Like yahoo attach or msn attachment.

But the problem is , it is sending the mail with attachment of the file name i give, it takes and creates that file and sends as attachment not from the actual file location. Sending mails with multiple files as attachments.

You need to start from the app, assuming that it has an email function, that contains the files that you want to send as attachments. The Photos app allows you to send up to 5 photos on the same email, but if you want to send multiple file types then you need an app that supports all those file types. I use the GoodReader app which supports quite a few document/file types (e.g. PDF, Excel, Word, pictures), and from that I can select multiple files (including different types) and attach them to the same email.

I have some requirements from our clients.
1) Can we send email with multiple existing attachments to employee?
I know that we can send email with attachment but how to add existing attachments to the email and send it to user.
2) Can we enhance the standard embed component and add some standard fields under it?
Here below under the Account TI screen Activity tab ->E-Mail Section
I want to add the Category filed exist under the E-Mail Business object in this E-mail Section ( Account TI screen embed component )

For the other requirement, you need to identify wich screen is used in the section that you are referring, and see if you can add custom fields in this screen using extensibility explorer.

Send a mail with in Attach a formatted XLS

Hello gurus,
i have this problem.
I send an email with an XLS attach using the function SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1.
Into the XLS file I put two currency type columns.
The problem is that using this function when i open the XLS file the currency values haven't yet the two decimal after the comma if they are '00'.
For example:
if my currency field (DMBTR) is 345,00 into the XLS file I have 345 ;
if my currency field (DMBTR) is 345,20 into the XLS file I have 345 ,2;
if my currency field (DMBTR) is 345,25 into the XLS file I have 345,25 ;
I coud correct it selecting the EXCEL column and changing the format from general to number with two decimal, but i need that the field is alrdeady correct when arrive to the recever by mail.
I've seen that the function GUI_DOWLOAD doaes it automatically setting FILETYPE = 'DBF' but i can't download the XLS file in local and then upload it using GUI_UPLOAD.
So, what can i use to create a perfect XLS field where the columns have the rigth type without dounload it in local and after attach it in a mail?

I am trying to send a external mail from SAP. Mail is getting posted correctly with attachment having type excel. If attach file has more than 1 records then in mail it is coming in a single lines. it is not getting wrap.

How to send Java Mail with EXCEL attachment?

I tried the following:
ByteArrayDataSource bs = new ByteArrayDataSource (is, "application/excel");
as my datasource (all other apis are fine)
But when I send this message with this datasource as attachment,I get a ParseException with the VM complaining about malformed headers.
Please help

Exactly when do you get the ParseException, and what's the message
with the exception?
BTW, "application/excel" is not the correct MIME type for Microsoft Office
Excel files. The correct MIME type is "application/vnd.ms-excel".

Mail shuts down when sending e-mail with large attachment

I am trying to send an e-mail with a zipped folder (468 MB) - but once I click send, the e-mail does not appear anywhere (ie.sent folders or outbox). Then, two minutes later, mail shuts down unexpectedly and a message asks me whether I'd like to 'reopen' or 'try again'.
I don't know whether this happens often or not, but I'd appreciate any help because I really need to send this e-mail some time today.

That happens to me all the tiem. I don't try anymore because I guess Mail just doesn't take large files like that. You should try sending it from your email provider on it's website, as you would without Mail or Outlook Express.

Yes this is possible. This is what the packing_list parameter of this function module is for. You put all of your content together into the contents_bin or the contents_txt (or a combination of both). You then add an entry into the packing_list table for each individual element. Here is some code samples for filling in the packing_list:
          objpack-transf_bin = 'X'.
          objpack-head_start = body_counter.
          objpack-head_num   = 1.
          objpack-body_start = body_counter.
          objpack-body_num   = tab_lines.
          objpack-doc_type   = extention.
          objpack-obj_name   = objhead.

We keep a counter for each element. We have to supply the starting position of each element and its total lenght.
