Sending video through A/V trasmitter

When you plug in the Apple Video Adapter without a TV attached does the iMac activate the video out port automatically?
I ask this, because I would like to know if you can just connect a A/V radio transmitter (without a TV or VCR attached) to bridge the signal to a remote TV.
Anybody knows or has tried?

I have not used the Video Adapter, but I have used the VGA adapter. When the Apple VGA adapter is plugged in, but no monitor connected, the iMac still recognizes the adapter and even lets me select a few screen resolutions, with no monitor attached.
So, if it works the same way, then just by plugging in the Apple Video Adapter, the iMac should activate the video out power automatically.

  • Can't send videos through text message

Hi, I have an iphone 5S. I'm using ios7. While texting, I can't seem to send videos through. It shows it went through on my end but does not show up on the other end. I'm texting from iphone to iphone.

Correct...   The limit is actual 1.2 megs and any larger files I would say do the email option or dropbox...
I use dropbox and I can share any size files without issues but make sure you set it to sync the images and videos on wifi only to avoid exceeding data.

  • I am having issues with being able to send videos through text message after the update

I have the motorola droid 4 and after the recent update, I am no longer able to change my video settings on my phone. I need to be able to change the quality to low to be able to send as mms, however the option is no longer there? I have went through settings and nothing gives me the option to record a video and send it through text. error says that the video can not be attached because it is too large.  can someone please assist me. The update was 4.1.2 version.

I have the Droid 4, and the 4.1.2 OS; when I open the camera and switch to video, then tap the gear for settings, I can choose HD+ (1080), all the way down to 320x240 resolution (5 different choices for resolution)
I can then go to that video in my gallery, and I have the share option there... how long is the video you are trying to send?  What is the total size of the file?  Perhaps the receiving party's phone cannot receive the video file?

  • Sending video through BBM Z10

It's allowed only 5 to 7 seconds recording only which equal 6 MB to send it through BBM. ,, Why?? ,, and 5 seconds are not enough

Because your friends need a Z10 so you can simply do a video chat.
There has always been a limitation on the video file size in BBM, maybe just send them the video by email?

hey so i been using whatsapp in my nokia lumia 520., i can recieve videos from friends and even forward the videos to others also.
But what i can't seem to do is send other videos that are there in my memory card/internal memory to other users thru whatsapp. when i try to attach a video file.,all i get is the option to record a video.
how do i attach a video and send it to others thru whatsapp..??
    ANy ideas.

I can give you a correct answer.  Forget about sending prerecorded videos using Lumia with Widows OS.
As Window phone does not allow all other App developers to access to its video library.
So it is not possible for sending video  using lumia series for sure.  I have 920 before and just switched to  Samsung Android because of this issue

  • Good Method To Send Videos Through email?

I live in california with my family but will be in china visiting for 5 weeks beginning july 3rd.
i have a macbook and would like to record video of myself and send it to them. What would be the best way of doing this?
I'd record through imovie, and would like to send it with MAIL (gmail account).
Can this work or are there other, and free alternatives?

My favorite app to record videos to send as attachments is through Quicktime. Just record through it (though i think you need to have Quicktime Pro, I dont remember, since i bought it and i dont remember if it was available before that--probably not), the files are not too large, and they look great.
The only issue i've seen with iMovie is that it makes the files just to darn large. So emailing those would be an issue. But if you use a website like www.sendthisfile.com then you can just upload it, and your family can download it.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to send videos through email on iphone 4

How would you send a video saved in your pictures through email on iphone 4?

    Hey taushafromNJ,
The following goes over how to share a picture or video, including via email:
Share or copy a photo or video. View a photo or video, then tap . If you don’t see , tap the screen to show the controls.
The size limit of attachments is determined by your service provider. iPhone may compress photo and video attachments, if necessary. You can also copy a photo or video, and then paste it into an email or text message (MMS or iMessage).

  • IMovie Newbie (send video through iChat)

Hello everyone! I'm a Mac newbie, and I apologize if this should be in the iChat discussions. I just purchased my first Apple (the 13" White MacBook) about 3 weeks ago. I was doing an iChat video session with a friend of mine yesterday, he was able to send a video he previously recorded through iMovie directly into iChat by just dropping and dragging. (I believe his Mac is about a year old). When he tried to guide me through the, it wouldn't allow me, it would just I guess "bounce back" into the iMovie window, and never make it into the iChat window (this after I closed our video chat too).
After that point I tried to send it as a file through iChat, and that STILL didn't work, apparently he received a message saying that I needed to start something, but I never saw a notice, and the transfer box was saying it was waiting on him to accept it, however, he told me he did.
Is there an easy, and simple way to send a movie recorded in iMovie '08 into iChat? Because I tried to send the file via gmail & yahoo and it was rejected (movie was about 3 minutes, but compressed into a small size).
Thanks for all your help, again, I apologize if this is winded, as well as in the wrong discussion forum.

The Mac User on the other end of the chat session is not receiving anything regarding me sending it when I try the iChat Theatre.
There seems to be some confusion here. Are you trying to "send a file using iChat" or "display/share a file via iChat Theater?" If the former, then review the tutorial link above provided by Appleman. If you are trying to do the latter, use the "Help" to get specific instructions for hosting an iChat Theater presentation. As to the recipient not getting appropriate announcements, what OS is that person using?

  • Latitude E7450 won't send video through dock

Updated a driver, and now the laptop no longer recognizes/outputs any video to external monitors through the dock (previously working). Tried another dock and monitor to no avail. I am able to connect the monitor directly to the laptop, and that works, but it will not output through the dock. Tried HDMI, displayport, and VGA.
BIOS is up to date, and latest video driver. Any thoughts?

Also having this problem with a Latitude E7450 on company laptop (Service Tag:  DM9YN32) that belongs to one of our Exec VP's.   We've actually had several problems with this laptop direct from factory which required us to replace both the motherboard & the WLAN.
As of now, this laptop currently has the latest  video driver and hub drivers installed for this mode (which I listed below)  This laptop is docked with two external monitors running both in DVI to the port replicator. Our team has replaced the port replicator, tried different monitors, tried different monitor cables (IE: both DVI & VGA), and also replaced the power adapter.    Historically the monitors would flicker back and forth on and off.  If we disconnect one monitor then it works fine.  But running duel monitors the problem comes back with one or both monitors flickering on and off.  After I installed the HUB firmware update, the problem appeared to have gone away for a couple hours but then came back where the primary monitor shut off for a few seconds.
NOTE:  I realize that there is also a NVIDIA driver for this model of laptop but in this case this driver is not compatible with his laptop so obviously the nvidia GPU chipset is not on this laptop.
Drivers currently installed as of 4/9/2015.

  • How do you set up your iPhone to send video signal to a TV.  Is it done automatically?

Is the phone automatically set to send video through a docking station into the receiver and into the TV?

You need an Apple TV to do this.  If you have one, play a video on your iPhone.  Next to the three control buttons will be an icon that looks like a rectangle with a solid triangle in front of it (kind of like an upside-down envelope).  Press it.  The video will play on your TV.  You can do this with videos and many games, as well as your music.  For games and music:
Press the home button twice to get the app tray to appear
Swipe the tray all the way to the left to where you see the music icon and controls.
Besides the play controls and music icon there will be another icon that looks kind of like an upside-down envelope.  Press it.  The video will start playing over the Apple TV.
    Good luck!

  • Sending pics and videos through email

help whenever I try to send pics or video through email I'm getting the message " Cannot send mail. the server rejected one of the recipient's addresses." I've tried sending this from my mac(mobileme) account and my yahoo account. All the smtp servers are set to "on". I'm new to using the iphone and I was hoping that i'd at least be able to send pictures and my videos through email like i was able to on verizon.... all my accounts(yahoo, mac, and gmail) are denied doing this though. yahoo completely shuts off and closes mail when i attempt to do it and mac gives me the above mentioned message. I'm running 3.1. Please help me if you can I'm not sure how to change things and I don't want to risk losing everything I have by a hard reset or changing things and screwing up the phone....

The error message provided usually indicates the SMTP server being used is being blocked by the internet service provider being used at the time, but all the email accounts you are accessing have an authenticated SMTP server, and an authenticated SMTP server is usually not blocked by an internet server provider including when connected to AT&T's cellular network.
I don't know what you are calling a hard reset, but an iPhone reset does not affect any data or settings. An iPhone reset is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so.
If powering your iPhone off and on doesn't make any difference, try an iPhone reset.

  • Sending pics and videos through MMS

i was watching the tutorial video for this phone yesterday and the guy was sending pictures and videos through MMS but he didnt explain how he did it and i cant figure it out. can anyone fill me in?

I don't get it either, it provides the capability to share low quality images to be viewed on tiny screens, at great expense. I was hoping the iphone would continue to omit MMS (and dump SMS), but if people are willing to pay for this non-sense...
The iPhone camera (or just about any mobile phone camera) is just bad. It's not the fault of Apple, it's just that it would be incredibly expensive to make a phone with high end optics, CCD's, apertures and the such. But to use a bad camera to send low quality images makes no sense to me.
Not to sound like a Luddite, but the dumbing down of our artistic media is just terrible. Music that used to be analog and had an infinite bit rate is now 128kbps. The depth and sound of that music just doesn't interest me. Now we go from infinite bits of photographic detail to a few million. Ansel Adams is probably appalled. Well, if he were alive, he would be.
Look, AT&T is going to charge us for MMS. I wouldn't get it. If I want to take a low quality photo and send it, it's going by email.

  • HT1694 How can I send videos via email (hotmail) that are 55 seconds or more?

Hotmail is supposed to have a 10MB limit and my videos are only coming to 5MB. But I can send a video that is 54 seconds long, but 55 seconds won't send. I also tried sending it through a gmail account and it wouldn't work either. Any advice? I'm using a iphone4. Thank you!

When sending an email the largest size of any file or collection of files is 20MB. A 720p HD video recording from your iPhone 4 for 55 seconds probably hits about 20MB (or just under). There isn't a way to increase the email sizing limit, however there are other alternatives such as Microsoft SkyDrive (Free), DropBox (free) and Google Drive (free) which will let you upload and share your files (like you would with email, only slightly different).
If you have a Hotmail/MSN account, you already have SkyDrive and it's easy to setup and use. Just visit: https://skydrive.live.com and sign in using your Hotmail/MSN account.
If you have Gmail (or blogger, or other Google service including YouTube) you can enable and start using Google Drive easily also, just visit: https://drive.google.com/start
If have neither a Google or Microsoft acount, and have no interest in creating an account with either of them, try DropBox. Found here: https://www.dropbox.com
