Sending videos by email

When I receive a video from someone (YouTube, .wmv, etc), I can send it to a friend by email.
However, when I create a video from my Torch, it doesn't allow me to send by email...only Bluetooth, BBM and "upload to YouTube."
Is there a way to send a personally created video by email?

So, you are doing this directly from the file manager? The video app? Something else?
Try creating an email and then, while creating it, attaching the video file...see if that works.
Also, you say you "see Email" when you try other things...but, do you actually succeed in selecting and emailing those? Or do you just see the option. I'm trying to get you to complete a process all the way through, not just report what you see without actually trying it. There's no way to know if something will work if you don't actually try it...a menu selection is just that...a selection...doesn't mean that it works.

Trying to send Video via email?

I am trying to send a video that I recorded on my Nokia lumia 920 via email as it is to long/big for MMS. The problem is when I go to attach a file from email, it only pulls up pictures and doesn't even show my videos. It happens both on my yahoo and google accounts. I would hope Nokia wouldn't limit this option but I can't think of anything else. Can anyone help with this issue? How can I access videos from my phone and send via email?? Thanks

i think this is due to the size restrictions of videos, as such, it would probably be impractical to send a 40MB video via email in comparison to a 2MB photo. if you need to, you can always upload your videos to SkyDrive and send a link to the desired recipient via that.
UPDATE: i've gone to the gallery and long-tapped on a video and selected Share: and selected Hotmail, and it said it was compressing the video and then added it to a blank email as a .mp4. You can always try that.......

IPhone 4S won't send videos via email.

I tried to send a video to my friend, of course it was in the process of sending but then I instantly got this email
"This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.
Delivery to the following recipients failed."
The same problem happened with Viber. It won't send videos even after being trimmed. It processes the video but then says "Not Sent"

Is wifi connected and working. Are you signed out on other mobile devices and outlook etc. You can be locked out when signed in toomany places atonce. Sometimes you need to sign into your email account from a laptop or desktop computer. This will not work on mobile device. You will need to make sure there are not pop boxes, security info required, etc. Obviously this tests password too. After trying to enter manually as mentioned above, go to Settings>Mail Contacts Calendars>Tap on any accounts saved that are not working or used anymore and delete them. If that doesn't resolve delete the "previously working" account and add account again.

1. You can go into the camera roll and press and hold on the video to copy it and paste it into the email document as a .mov file
2. You can press and hold inside of your email and tap on "inset a video and picture" and choose on the file

Look at your settings iPhoto>Preferences>Accounts
and make changes here or add your email account if not in the list
One thing to look at for sure is the SMTP sever name, I think by default it fills it in as smtp.me.com or some such, which may not be your email outgoing server.

HT1694 How can I send videos via email (hotmail) that are 55 seconds or more?

Hotmail is supposed to have a 10MB limit and my videos are only coming to 5MB. But I can send a video that is 54 seconds long, but 55 seconds won't send. I also tried sending it through a gmail account and it wouldn't work either. Any advice? I'm using a iphone4. Thank you!

When sending an email the largest size of any file or collection of files is 20MB. A 720p HD video recording from your iPhone 4 for 55 seconds probably hits about 20MB (or just under). There isn't a way to increase the email sizing limit, however there are other alternatives such as Microsoft SkyDrive (Free), DropBox (free) and Google Drive (free) which will let you upload and share your files (like you would with email, only slightly different).
If you have a Hotmail/MSN account, you already have SkyDrive and it's easy to setup and use. Just visit: https://skydrive.live.com and sign in using your Hotmail/MSN account.
If you have Gmail (or blogger, or other Google service including YouTube) you can enable and start using Google Drive easily also, just visit: https://drive.google.com/start
If have neither a Google or Microsoft acount, and have no interest in creating an account with either of them, try DropBox. Found here: https://www.dropbox.com

Good Method To Send Videos Through email?

I live in california with my family but will be in china visiting for 5 weeks beginning july 3rd.
i have a macbook and would like to record video of myself and send it to them. What would be the best way of doing this?
I'd record through imovie, and would like to send it with MAIL (gmail account).
Can this work or are there other, and free alternatives?

My favorite app to record videos to send as attachments is through Quicktime. Just record through it (though i think you need to have Quicktime Pro, I dont remember, since i bought it and i dont remember if it was available before that--probably not), the files are not too large, and they look great.
The only issue i've seen with iMovie is that it makes the files just to darn large. So emailing those would be an issue. But if you use a website like www.sendthisfile.com then you can just upload it, and your family can download it.

Sending Videos by email/online?

Hello everyone,
Im trying to put this long video birthday card together for my buddies 30th bday. I want to have 30 of our friends wishing him happy bday and Im gonna put it on a DVD and send it to him in Africa where he's doing some humanitarian work.
Many of our friends are spread throughout N.America so Im just wondering how is a good/best way of having them send their videos to me online? I dont really want to pay for fed ex or mail etc. Is there a way to send 20 second videos?

Sign up for an AIM or Skype account, have all of the people who'll be sending you the videos do the same, and then ask them to drop it onto your name in their contact list. You need to be online at the time.

To add an application to FMS follow the below steps
1. Create a folder "my_app" under "$InstallRoot\applications" directory.
2. For simple server side code... add "main.asc" file inside "$InstallRoot\applications\my_app" directory which has the content like

To add streams to the application, creates 'streams' folder inside "$InstallRoot\applications\my_app" directory, within that create '_definst_' folder and then place your FMS supported streams within the directory. So your streams for the 'my_app' application will be at "$InstallRoot\applications\my_app\streams\_definst_\mystream.flv".
You can connect to this application using the url "rtmp://your_server_name/my_app". To play the stream mystream.flv using video player, use the url "rtmp://your_server_name/my_app/mystream.flv".

iTunes is not used to move photos and videos from an iPhone to a computer (it is used to move them the other direction).
Also note that a connected phone or camera does not show in the Finder on a Mac. It should show in Image Capture or iPhoto.

help whenever I try to send pics or video through email I'm getting the message " Cannot send mail. the server rejected one of the recipient's addresses." I've tried sending this from my mac(mobileme) account and my yahoo account. All the smtp servers are set to "on". I'm new to using the iphone and I was hoping that i'd at least be able to send pictures and my videos through email like i was able to on verizon.... all my accounts(yahoo,mac,and gmail) are denied doing this though. yahoo completely shuts off and closes mail when i attempt to do it and mac gives me the above mentioned message. I'm running 3.1. Please help me if you can I'm not sure how to change things and I don't want to risk losing everything I have by a hard reset or changing things and screwing up the phone....

The error message provided usually indicates the SMTP server being used is being blocked by the internet service provider being used at the time, but all the email accounts you are accessing have an authenticated SMTP server, and an authenticated SMTP server is usually not blocked by an internet server provider including when connected to AT&T's cellular network.
I don't know what you are calling a hard reset, but an iPhone reset does not affect any data or settings. An iPhone reset is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so.
If powering your iPhone off and on doesn't make any difference, try an iPhone reset.
