Sennheiser MM 200 & iPhone 3GS os 3.1 incoming calls

Hello, my first post here, so please be nice
I've got iPhone 3GS with OS 3.1. recently i purchased Sennheiser MM 200 bluetooth headset. After few days i'm quite safistied with it, about everything works, part from forward/back buttons on headset, even voice control works.
But when i'm using headset for example listening to music, and i get a call, music pauses, and i get certain ringing voice through headset, BUT also the phone rings!!! Is this normal behaviour?
I can answer the call with headset's buttons, but is there a setting or something, so it wouldn't ring from the phone? Of course i can but it to silence mode, and that works, but am i missing something?
Thank you in advance

Hello Duplatee and welcome to the Apple Discussions.
The above-mentioned behavior is normal; at least, that's the way the phone rings when I am listening to music as well. However, I don't find it curious that the phone doesn't automatically mute, even when it's transmitting a ringtone to your headset that's already in your ear... I could also mention a couple of reasons why it shouldn't, but that's like more of a philosophical chat, rather than plain support, so I'll be off for now.

My iphone 3gs wont send or recieve calls but sms is working.Signal is good & plenty of credit

First step is to clean the iPhone charging port with a clean dry toothbrush, also use a bit of Isopropyll Alcohol, and clean especially the pins which are on top of the dock midrib.
Let it dry for a minute. Then open iTunes on computer, then connect iPhone to computer, then hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone is recognized by iTunes in Recovery Mode. Usually about 20 seconds time of holding both buttons. Restore the iPhone Firmware.

  • My iPhone 4 won't take incoming calls. Everytime someone phones me it goes straight to voice mail. What's gone wrong?

For some reason my iPhone 4 won't take incoming calls and everytime someone phones me it goes straight to voicemail what's gone wrong??

Look at the AT&T VVM User Guide for help setting up your visual voice mail.
If you still have problems, contact AT&T Customer Service at 1-800-331-0500 and ask them to check that your account is provisioned for an iPhone 4.

  • Iphone 3GS not ringing/vibrating when called.

    Hello,
When I call my Iphone 3GS with another phone (while in sleep mode) , the Iphone does not ring nor vibrates.
However, when I push the home button while the call is comming in, the Iphone awakens and starts ringing and vibrating.
If the home button is not pressed the Iphone remains completely silent.
When I restart the Iphone it works perfectly for a few times and then shows the same problematic behaviour again.
I've updated the OS to the latest version, restored the Iphone a few times, nothing helps.
I found someone with the same problem saying that it is a battery related problem, so I've changed the battery and it didn't solve the problem.
The problem also persists after changing to a different opperator. (I didn't switch operators to solve this problem, it had other reasons, but does excludes it as a possible solution)
To me it seems like a software problem. Anyone any ideas on how to fix this?
    Thanks
    Jonathan

  • My iphone 3Gs is disconnecting on outgoing calls on a very regular basis stating call failed. Is this a common problem and how do I resolve the issue?

My Iphone 3Gs disconnects during outgoing calls very regularly when reception is fine. Message on phone is Call Failed. Is there a simple solution for this this or does it require specialist Apple fix

Have you reported this to your carrier?  Perhaps your SIM is faulty.

  • IPhone 4 clicks off during incoming call, drops call within 10 seconds

so i've had zero issues with my iPhone 4 until now; no antenna nonsense, no proximity sensor problems. last nite a friend called me, and i barely got to say "how are you" when the phone made the clicking sound, clicked like when you're putting the screen to sleep from being awake, and the call was dropped. same thing happened today. as far as i can tell, it only happens on incoming calls, i can't get the issue to replicate on an outgoing call.
anyone else with this problem or know of a fix? AT&T reception isn't fantastic where i live, but i typically get 2-3 bars in my room. thanks in advance.

    AT&T reception isn't fantastic where I live
    There's your keywords.
You can try performing a 'restore as new iPhone' if you used 'restore as backup' from a 3GS to i4. Some have reported the backup had more problems than using a 'new iPhone' restore.
Afterwards, try calling your iPhone and pickup. See if it lasts higher than 10 seconds. If your iPhone hangs up, it could be a bad iPhone or it could be a bad AT&T connection.
I would report your problem area to AT&T that you can't make calls and have your iPhone checked. They can have their towers checked for faulty connectivity.

  • IPhone Voice Memos Interrupted By Incoming Calls

I notice that every time I use my Voice Memos software on the 3G(s), if an call comes in, the Voice Memo stops recording and I won't know it till I look at the phone later. Is there ANY way to stop that for that not to happen and you can have perhaps the calls go directly into voice mail so that the Voice Memo feature doesn't get interrupted? It's useless to me otherwise.
    Thanks for anyone's input!

The voice recorder application - just like every other iPhone application, native or 3rd party - will shut down when you receive a phone call. The iPhone operates under the assumption that the device is first and foremost a telephone.
As far as work arounds go, you can always put the phone in airplane mode when you need to use the voice recorder app uninterrupted. This will send all incoming calls directly to voicemail.

  • Iphone 4S; Phone & audio piece; Incoming calls are NOT routed automatically??

When I dial out; no problem the calls automatically goes through ear pice.
When I get incomming calls the call goes to phone, not even to the speaker in in the phone. So I have to
1.Slide  the bar    (then first realizing (again) dam: I hear nothing)
    2. Choose the box for speaker options
    3. Choose my blue ant piece..
By then some callers think I am not picking up or there is somthing wrong..!
My 3 colleaguers have same phone and no such problems. We are at a loss and I could not find reply in community groups. There was note about Iphone 5 and  not correcting to Car speaker automatically. This was noted as a softwre issue Apple might address in next version. But since my colleagues do not have problem with their Iphone it must be either my settings or a weird fault with my phone.
One of my collegues have same ear pice as me, so the issueis not that either.
Is there some weird setting I need to fix to correct the problem?
    Thank you

Are you able to make calls? I would try a couple different things -
    1. Try doing a double hard reset - Press and hold home button and the sleep wake button at the same time until the screen displays the slide to shut down red button. Continue pressing and holding both the buttons until the screen goes black and then the apple logo flashes up. Continue pressing and holding both the home and sleep wake button beyond this point until the screen goes black again. At this point, let go of the home button and press once the sleep wake button as you would to start your phone. See if this double hard reset helps clear out any cache.
    2. If this fails, I would try restoring the phone as a new phone in iTunes. Backup your phone before this so that you dont lose your contacts, etc. You can do a couple test calls once the firmware is installed before setting up the phone, data, apps, etc. If it looks good, try restoring your phone from an earlier backup.
If everything fails, call AppleCare or see a Genius in the store.

  • IPhone 4 Can't receive incoming calls and sms after 3G has been activated

I can't receive incoming calls and sms on my iPhone 4 after the 3G connection has been activated and used actively by me. Outgoing calls and messages do work and as long as I use the Wi-Fi connection everything's fine but the problem appears after switching to 3G. Any help? Thx in advance!

I think the next step is to do a reset by holding the sleep and home buttons down at the same time until the Apple logo appears.  If you haven't done this before, keep holding the buttons when the turn off slider appears.  The screen will go black and after what seems like an eternity, actually several seconds, the Apple logo will appear.  When the logo appears, release the buttons.

  • IPhone stuck because of a incoming call while Synching

Today, while synching my iPhone and my Mac (transfering on the iPhone an application i bought with iTunes), my iPhone got bricked because of an incoming call. Just try it : Ask for synchro and call the iPhone. Everything will freeze (iPhone and iTunes) and the iPhone will not bring back the springboard after a restart. It will keep displaying the Apple logo.
Note that iPhoto sees the iPhone and can still import/delete pictures from the iPhone Library.
I've been restoring my iPhone 21 times for the last 30 days and it is becoming unacceptable.

OK. So i restored my iPhone Friday at night.
Restore from Backup => Gave me a new, empty iPhone (no SMS, no pictures, nada, nothing, rien,...)
So i started to re-enter my emails accounts, reloaded apps and started to setup apps again.
Then, of course, Appstore told me one of my apps was outdated (VoiceNotes). I asked the update and BINGO : back to ALoD !!!! It worked 40 minutes only.
=> New Restore => New Phone => Retype mails accounts, prefs, ...
Please (i don't wont to be moderated again) Apple, can you provide an official feedback for issues with apps/appstore ?

  • Why does my iPhone 4s beep when answering incoming calls or placing an outgoing call?  How do I turn it off?

Starting today my iPhone 4s now beeps when I am making an outgoing call or when I receive an incoming call.  I am wondering if this is due to the recent upgrade to 7.0.4.  My phone is on Verizon.  Does anyone know how to turn this beep off?

This is a new feature of iOS 8 ... go to your iPhone's FaceTime settings and turn off "iPhone Cellular Calls".

  • IPhone 3GS - Video Capture during Phone Call

I just found out that iPhone disables making Videos when I'm on a call.
This really ***** - It lets me taking the photos, but no video option.
It can't be the processing power needed - as this is 3Gs and has lots of power under the hood
I know Video captures Audio as well in the movie - so what - it should still be able to make a video with the voice capture thru the Mic.
This is totally stupid of Apple. Video is a very useful feature and one of the reasons I paid $560 to upgrade and a bad implementation.

I Just ReRead This And It May Seem A Little Confusing. I Am Talking About The iPhone 4 NOT 4S
