Sense of the file FILES.MYD that`s growing permanently

Hello,
can somebody tell me the sense of the file FILES.MYD in the directory
"C:\Documents and Settings\...\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\7.0\organizer70"? Last week this file had a size of 50 MB!!! I got a new user profile, because there also were TMP-Files with a size of 80 MB in this directory that appeared every time after starting the PC though I cancelled them before ...
Now the size of FILES.MYD is growing slowly vom 268 KB last wednesday to 684 KB three working days later - and in some months I'll have 40 or 50 MB again!? What is this file necessary for?

It is interesting that Adobe personnel offer no help on this. It is not exactly safe to delete. This is some sort of comprehensive history of every pdf file you ever opened for Adobe Organizer. I opened Organizer and "Deleted" my history, but it apparently just takes away my ability to see the history. It is still in the huge file. I open the file with a binary editor and still see all the history there. I move the file to a holding location to preserve precious profile space and live with quirkyness when I close pdf files. I get a notification that the application closed due to memory errors. The big problem comes when I try to open pdf files online with Firefox. It just doesn't work. So I have to put the myd file back in it's place and get the online files, then move it out again.
Very annoying.

I have about 65000 music files that i have transferrd from my external to a new laptop internal HD.
I have organised the folders myself as I use a PC and do not want itunes to organise the folders because when I'm searching through music on windows it is sorted out by artists/albums with 'the...(eg The Beatles)' under 'T' instead of 'B'.
Long story short.... Is there any way that I can keep my itunes library as it is on the external HD and copy it to the new laptops C drive, keep all the info (playlists etc) and still have the same folder structure as on the external HD?
Or, is there any way of making windows sort things in alphabetical order like it is in itunes (eliminating the 'the' issue)?

The files that weren't inside the media folder on the original machine need to be copied over to exactly the same paths as they had on the source machine. See this thread for an ongoing discussion of a similar problem. See also this post on migrating the iTunes library.

Someone please help me in getting the file format that is selected in the "save as" dialog. I wanted to retrieve it in the string format.
I tried sAIDocument->GetDocumentFileFormat. But i'm unable to implement it correctly. Is there a better way or How do I implement this? Precisely, I wanna get the value as a string when the user selects "save as .pdf".

Do you really need to know the file type? What about just checking the bit depth?

Aperture has the ability to work with files in their existing location. They are called "referenced masters." When you import images, you should select the "In their current location" in the "Store Files:" drop down box. Have a read of the documentation for full specifics. Unsure how you can resolve your duplication; might be some work but next time have a read of the manual first
Information for versions is stored in the Aperture database (library file). The masters can be inside the library file itself, or they can be somewhere else.

Hi Phani,
It also depends on the type of file you are transfering. If have used the XML file around 1GB and the performance is very low. But we used the Database schema to load the XML data and the performance had increased very well.
I never tried the large flat files load around 1GB.

Adobe Captivate could not open "the file" Ensure that:

Try to open a file a client sent to me.

- The file is not damanged.
-The hard disk has suffecient available space
-The system has suffeicent resources.
Researched the blog and tried 2 suggestions:
1. Clearing the cache. Did not work. I do not have a cache folder. I haven't created a Captivate 5.5 project. I'm just trying to open a file sent to me.
2. Tried deleted bak file. Didn't work. Captivate 5 keeps recreating the file.
Other facts:
Other people have been able to download the trial version and open the file.
I have Captivate 4 on my machine.
Any suggestions?

I'm experiencing about the same problem:
I made a software demo using Macromedia Captivate on computer 1 en sent it by e-mail to computer 2.
On computer 2 I installed a Captivate 5.5 trial and I want to open the file in 5.5.
The file is not locked as far as I know (I right-clicked the file > properties > unlock)
I do have sufficiënt available space and resources. The file contains 135 slides but is not too large as I tried to do the same thing with a 50-slide file > same error message.
I tried creating a new blank project > I copied the slides into the blank project, saved again on a local drive, sent it to computer 2 again, but same error message.
Please help, I'm getting desperate.

Re-installed Windows 7/iTunes 10.7. iTunes sees my iPhone 3gs. Won't sync. I have back ups to the cloud and my computer but moved my music folder. How do I resync with a backup??? What's the file called that I need?

What is the name of the file I need to resync back to what I had before I reinstalled Windows7/Itunes?
I don't want to lose all of my apps. iTunes does see the phone but either has miscalcuated and told me I'm over
the size of my allocated sizes for music/apps, but when I uncheck, it still won't sync.
Best way, I assume is to go back to the last backup. So help me out here, what are the file (s) I need and
where are they best stored? I have all my music now on my J drive, not my C drive.

I backed up to the iCloud and to my computer. Only thing I seem to be missing is a couple playlists. I just didn't want to lose my paid apps.
So what I see in my music folder and then another folder called iTunes and then files like iTunes Library, iTunes Library extras, iTunes Music Library aren't anything that is a back up, I take it, since you said the back up would be under programs? If this statement is true, now I "get" it!
And just to be clear, in iTunes, in my apps, there are all the apps I have gotten for free or paid for. But the problem there was that the Sync was grayed out and if I check it, everything goes crazy with saying I don't have enough room. I unchecked the music folder, and still had problems.
Oh, I hate this part of the iPhone stuff!

Script to create directory based on current file name and then save the file in that directory

I have a need save all my projects in a directory using the name of the main image I am working on.
Manually these are the steps I used:
Save As.
Copy ( press command-c <== the filename is highlighted by default so all I have to do is )
New Folder ( press the new folder button. Brings up a dialog box)
Paste ( press command-v. <== Pastes the file name into the "New Folder" dialog box.)
Save ( press thre save button. Saves the files into the new folder )
Save As.
Change format to JPG
Save
Change image quality to 12
I want to assign these actions to a key
Recording these steps and playing them back does not give me the results I need, snce the original name is hard-coded in the actionlist that was recorded
What should I be doing instead ?

You don’t mention which format the original file is (and figuring that and its current settings out seems too much of a hassle to me) so this would only save the jpgs into the folder (and create one if it does not exist).
If you want to give it a try, paste the following text into a new file in ExtendScript Toolkit (part of Photoshop’s installation, Applications/Utilities/Adobe Utilities/ExtendScript Toolkit CS4 or /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Utilities-CS5/ExtendScript Toolkit CS5) and save it as a jsx-file into Photoshop’s Presets/Scripts-folder.
After restarting Photoshop the Script should be available under File > Scripts and can be assigned a Keyboard Shortcut directly, recorded into an Action, (in CS4 and CS5) be used in a Configurator-Panel or started from ExtendScript Toolkit directly.

How to get the File name that File Adapter is giong to write to a directory

I am really stuck at one pint while working with File Adapter/FTP Adapter.
My requirement is I need to read a message from the Queue and write it to a directory as a physical file using a File/FTP adapter and the name that adapter will give to the file at runtime need to find and inset into the database for audit.
Is any body could help me to know the file name at run time that generated by the adapter?

I got the answer, I am posint this reply here that someone get the answer for this.
I have tested like this...
Create an empty BPEL process
Create two File Adapters (one for Read, one fro Write) operations.
Create a variable of type OutboundHeader_msg ( this message is chosen from the fileAdapterOutboundHeader.wsdl).
Create a receive active and link it to the read operation then create a variable. Make sure this is the first activity so you check the create instance checkbox.
Create invoke activity and link it to write adapter link.
Place the assign activity in between the receive and invoke.
In the assign activity create a copy operation and give your own name to the file name element inside the variable you created above.
Now double click on invoke activity go to the adapter tab and choose the above variable as the Input Header Variable.
This will generate the your own named file in the output file directory.

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MAX\Data

It is a lock file.
When a database starts, one of the background processes locks the file (creating it first if necessary). An attempt to start up the database again will fail because the old background process holds the lock, preventing the new background process from getting it.

Missing bookmarks can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Disk is full, but I can't find the file(s) that fill it.

When I got to my computer this morning it's root partition was full. That partition is over 400G and when I left the computer last night it was nowhere even close to full.
I spent a moment trying to find the files that filled the disk. I tried `du / | sort -n` This tells me the space is taken up by /home/dave. However, there are no files in that directory that would account for all that space. (du reports the directory is ~400G, but reports no files that would account for the space)
Then I rebooted the machine. Then suddenly my space was available again.
What's going on? I'm puzzled and confused.
I should mention that the root partition is EXT3 on top of LVM on top of RAID1, as described http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ins … AID_or_LVM. Is there a bug in this?

I can't recall the exact details, but I remember some disk usage going crazy on one of my own machines. 'du' was reporting more than 'ncdu' (an excellent package in the AUR that combines du and ncurses) or whatever similar tool I was using to see if du's craziness was correct (which it wasn't, of course).
I don't exactly remember what I did to fix it, but I think I rebooted and everything fixed itself.
I'm really venturing out here since my memory of this is so vague, but I might have had a (supposedly) full partition too, but I can't remember that part all that much.
And I run JFS without anything fancy (like RAID or LVM), so there are filesystem-independent issuez somewhere...
