Sensor stopped recording data mid-run

I just got my Nike+ kit and took it out for the first time today. I set it to do a timed workout of 30 minutes. After exactly .67 miles, it stopped recording my distance, though it continued playing music and counting my time and the voice kept telling me how many minutes I had remaining. Anyone have an idea why? Is there a way to troubleshoot? My software is all current, and I'm not getting a low battery warning. I'm not using the Nike shoes -- could that be it? And if that's it, why would it work for the first .67 miles and then stop?

How are you using the sensor that usually goes in the shoe? It needs to be by the foot somewhere.
You might have accidentally paused the workout. If this happens the music will continue to play even if you have paused the workout.
I am using the Nike Amp+ now and it has helped with erroneous pausing of workouts for me. Check it out at the following link: http://www.nike.com/index.jhtml?sitesrc=USPL&l=nikestore,grid,pdp,cid-1/gid-161927/pid-161926,grid,f-26005+22004
I hope this helps.

since doing the 7.0.4 update i notice that my mobile data has doubled and i am running out of data mid month.  I've disabled apps s not many running.  Any suggestions?

I am having the same issue even with the newer 7.1. I have a 1-100 KB data push on both my husdand's and my phone every hour on the hour (i.e. my will be at :23 of the hour and his will be at :13 of the hour and it will change). This is whether we are on a WIFI and with all apps, background refreshes, push notifications, etc turned OFF.

  • Does ODI keeps the record of last run date of interface?

    Target:Oracle
    Source:MS SQL
    ODI:11g
My requirement is I have a source table, Whatever operations performed on that (like insert, update etc) table, I want to load those records into the target table. For that I have created an Interface which runs daily at 6 PM.While loading, I have put one filter which loads only those data which got inserted/updated on current date(GETDATE()).Suppose the case, If my ODI has been down(because of any reason) since 3 days. In this case I have no option to load the records who got changed in that three days. On the fourth day I start the ODI then, how can I get data which got changed in last three days.
Is there any place where ODI keeps the record of last run date or something of interface ?
If I use CDC in that case, once the ODI down then the journalism can not able to keep the changed data info.
How can I load the changed data into the target.?
    Thanks,
    Shrinivas

If you have a date column in source and target , I guess you might be having a you are using date , you can use a filter and write the expression like this
    Source_date > (select max(date_created/update) from schema.target_table)
I have validated this expression and it validated by ODI , I did not try running it , please give it a shot

When recording a midi track, why is it automatically creating a loop whenever I stop?
I am using Logic Pro 9 on a MacBook Pro and Yosemite 10.10.1

    Hi
Probably because you have the MIDI Thru parameters set to loop?
Click in the background of the Arrange window, and in the Region Inspector (MIDI THRU) deselect 'Loop'

  • GPS stops recording mid-workout

I must confess to being really fed up with this watch because the primary reason for requesting it as a gift, which was for recording runs via Runkeeper (or Ghostracer) to save having to wear my bulky Xperia 3 on my arm, is redundant thanks to the GPS cutting out mid-run. It also seems to disconnect from my phone regularly which means it is rare to be able to send a text or email via the 'Ok Google' function. Has anyone else had this experience? I find it a bit hard to believe that we're not on version 3 of the Smartwatch, GPS technology is well advaanced yet, this device struggles with the basic. Maybe I should have just opted for a Garmin after all.........

Do you experience the same with other apps? lifelog? fit? etc You might want to reset the SW3 and report back.  http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/SmartWatch-3/New-Android-Wear-5-1-1-features/m-p/992525#U992525

  • OEM stopped recording availability data

I'm currently going through an Administration Workshop for 10g and have a 10g database loaded on a VMWare virtual Linux machine on my laptop. When I view the database using Enterprise Manager and click the Up link, I used to be able to see a chart of the Up/Down/Agent Down times and percentages.
I was gone for a week for other training, and now OEM is not collecting data for availability. The screenshot below shows what I am seeing on that page.
    http://home.indy.net/~mccormm/images/Screenshot001.gif
It still has the previous data in the 31 day view, but the 7day and 24 hour views are blank. Why would OEM stop recording that information when it seems to be recording normally on the Performance pages?
I view OEM through Firefox 2.0, if that makes any difference.
    Thanks!
    Mike McCormick

The important thing to note is that I am not using the full Grid Control version of Enterprise Manager, just the version that manages the database. I just completed training in EM Grid Control, so I understand what you are asking me to do, it's just that those menus aren't available on this setup.
It does have a Management Services and Repository page, though it is rather difficult to find. To get there, I go the Maintenance tab of the Database Instance page, select Collection Status from the Software Deployments section, then System Errors from the Related Links section. This puts me on the Errors tab of the Management Services page.
If I slide over to the Management Services tab, I see this:
    http://home.indy.net/~mccormm/images/Screenshot002.gif
The Management Service is down, with no errors. But when I slide back to the Errors tab there is a number of errors. The first one, for the Repository Metrics component says:
Error occurred with collection for: Targets_not_uploading/Management Services and Repository/oracle_emrep. ORA-04063: package body "SYSMAN.EMD_NOTIFICATION" has errors ORA-06508: PL/SQL: could not find program unit being called: "SYSMAN.EMD_NOTIFICATION" ORA-06512: at "SYSMAN.METRICS_SEVERITY_DUPLICATES", line 1114 ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'SYSMAN.METRICS_SEVERITY_DUPLICATES'
So it looks like a trigger is failing, which cascades down killing the Management Service.
The tricky thing is, I don't know if this service ever worked. In the lab (Administration Workshop), there was no reason to look at this service. There is a chapter on Triggers, I wonder if I screwed something up in that lesson.
I guess my plan of action is to 1) Redo the triggers lab and see if I can undo what I did. If that fails, 2) go into the installer and reinstall the EM components. If anyone else has a suggestion, I'd love to hear it.

  • HELP!!! LOGIC RANDOMLY STOPS RECORDING FOR NO REASON!

WHILE IM WORKING IN LOGIC EVERYTHING WE'LL BE FINE AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN WHEN I HIT THE RECORD BUTTON (ON AN INSTRUMENT TRACK) IT WONT RECORD ANYMORE. I CAN STILL HEAR THE CLICK BUT NO MIDI DATA OR REGION IS BEING RECORDED. NO REGION SHOWS UP EITHER.
ABOUT 25 SECONDS AFTER I STOP RECORDING I CAN HEAR THE SOUND THAT I WAS TRYING TO RECORD
IM RUNNIG version 8.0.2. ITS VERY FRUSTRATING CAN ANYONE HELP? I HAVE A MAC PRO WITH 5 GIGS OF RAM.
IF I CLOSE LOGIC AND RESTART MY COMPUTER EVERYTHING WE'LL BE FINE FOR A WHILE UNTIL IT DOES IT AGAIN. I'VE ALREADY TRASHED PREFS AND REPAIRED DISK PERMISSIONS BUT IT DIDNT WORK. ANY HELP TRULY DESERVES A CASH REWARD... IDEAS ANYONE ?

    Try these ideas.
run disk permsissions repair, and disk repair. Consider getting Disk Warrior, it often repairs disks that other programs, don't find a problem with.
    trash Logic prefs,
log on as another user, see if problem still occurs...
Does this do this all the time?.... I on occassion (only about 3 times in the last year) have created encountered a problem, where an 'invisible mute' or 'solo' has been generated. That is Logic acts as if a mute of solo button is on, even though none are visible.. I rectified the problem, by hitting "undo" a few times.. One time, I had to go back to a previous version of the song, and recreate from there. I never found out exactly why it was happening..
If none of these solutions work, I would trash Logic itself, and re-install.. And finally if none of that worked. I would trash the whole disk, reformat, install OSX and Logic again.. I have had to do that once or twice also.
Another less drastic measure might be to install another OSX and Logic on a different disk, or partition. Consider also, once you get things working OK is to Clone the OS drive to another, and keep that as a backup, in case things sour.
I have had to go the whole erase, re-install, routine twice in the last 2 years, and it seems to take the better part of a week to get EVERYTHING back to normal... Good Luck

  • Capture stops recording but tape keeps playing

Have run into something very odd. I installed adobe CS5.5 Master Collection on my brand new computer and when I am capturing video in Premiere, it periodically will stop capturing the video and the tape will keep playing but noticed the recording has stopped. This is happening to me consistenly. I have purchased a brand new Dell XPS 9100 I-7 Extreme Processor, 12 Gig Memory 2tb 7200 RPM Hard Drive EVGA GEForce GTX 460 SE 1GB GDDR5 PCI- Express 2.0 Graphics Card, and the only programs that are installed on the machine are Roxio Media Creator 2011 and MCaffee Virus Protector and Windows 7 64 Bit. Other than that there is the generalized programs that Dell puts on and I have the Adobe Master Collection 5.5 installed.
I am not sure why the recording part of the capture stops recording but it is getting very frustrating. I know it's not the camera because I uploaded video with no problem via Firewire on my other computer that has adobe premiere CS4 and had no problems.
I really hope someone has a fix for this or can explain to me why this is happening but it is very frustrating.
    Thanks so much,
    Joe

You need to do this for Win7... plus having AT LEAST one more hard drive will help... I have 3
    Legacy Driver and Capture http://forums.adobe.com/thread/869277?tstart=0
    - And a Picture http://forums.adobe.com/thread/727755?tstart=0
My 3 hard drives are configured as... (WD = Western Digital)
    1 - 320G WD Win7 64bit Pro and all program installs
2 - 320G WD Win7 swap file and video project files
3 - 1T WD all video files... input & output files

Trying to use only ONE Hard Drive for Video Editing
You are a music conductor, with a baton that you use to point to various parts of the orchestra... this is like Windows pointing to various parts of the hard drive to do Windows housekeeping or to load program segments for various functions
Now, at the same time and with the same hand... while still using the baton to conduct the orchestra... pick up a bow and play a fiddle... this would be doing something with your video file at the same time as all the other work
You as a person cannot do both at the same time with the same hand
A computer is a LITTLE better, in that it can switch from one kind of task to another very quickly... but not quickly enough for EASY video editing
You need AT LEAST two hard drives (separate drives, never a partition http://forums.adobe.com/thread/650708?tstart=0 for more) with Windows (or Mac OS) and software on your boot drive, and video files on a 2nd drive so the boot drive is not slowed down by trying to do everything
I find that the three drives I use work very well for me, for editing AVCHD video... some people use a 4th drive, so video INPUT files are on drive three and all OUTPUT files are on drive four... I only bought a mid-tower case instead of a full tower case (my bad... but had to fit in the space available on my office desk!) so I use the three drives that will fit
Depending on your exact hardware (motherboard brand & model AND USB2 enclosure brand & model AND external hard drive brand & model) AND the type of video file, you may... or may NOT... be able to use an external USB2 hard drive for SD (Standard Definition) video editing
Steve Grisetti in the Premiere Elements forum http://forums.adobe.com/thread/856208?tstart=0 and Jim Simon in the Premiere Pro forum http://forums.adobe.com/thread/856433?tstart=0 use USB externals for editing
A USB3 hard drive connected to a motherboard with USB3 is supposed to be fast enough for video editing (I don't have such, so don't know) but eSata DOES have a fast enough data transfer for video editing... I have not used this eSata Dock... for reference only, YMMV and all the usual disclaimers

  • Need to record data for 4 hrs at a rate of every 30s

    Hello,
I'm fairly new to LabVIEW and need assistance. I have this VI that manually records torque and temperature by hitting a button. I want to alter it so that when I run the program  I can automatically collect data every 30 sec for 4 hrs and then the program stops. Any help would be appreciated. I have attached the VI.

    Bob_Schor wrote:
One of the most difficult things for people new to LabVIEW to avoid is the temptation to "just start coding" -- as often as not, you end up with a bunch of (often Express) VIs wired together that do something, but rarely what you want it to do.
I recommend starting with thinking about the overall design, asking yourself "What do I want to do?".  In your case, it sounds like "Record data (not yet defined) every 30 seconds for 4 hours".  Now break this down -- what does "record data" mean?  How much data?  How many channels?  What data rate?  What do you want to do with the data?
This might be a "unit" of your code, that is, this "Data Recording Block" might, in some ways, stand alone.  One way this could happen would be if you recorded, say, 5 seconds of data, wrote the data to a uniquely-named file, then stopped recording.  "Aha!", I (don't) hear you saying, "this should be written as a sub-VI called "Save Some Data" that I put in my main program and call every 30 seconds until 4 hours have gone by".
What is this isn't your model?  Maybe you want to start data acquisition, keep it running, and every 30 seconds save some aliquot of the data to a file.  Fine, but that's another Design Decision that you should make before starting to code.  This kind of model sounds liek it might be a Producer (continuous data acquisition)/Consumer (periodic saving of the data) design, with the Consumer "worrying" about saving, say, 5 second aliquots of data every 30 seconds for 4 hours.  This last bit (namely getting the Consumer to "do its thing" properly) might be handled by a State Machine design ("Save to File", "Wait for next Sample Time", "Count Elapsed Time").
Here is a piece of Good Advice -- never put an "Abort LabVIEW" command in your program!  Notice you have a Stop button to stop the loop, and can OR wire the output now going to the Abort to the same Stop indicator.  Use Abort in the rare instance where failure to instantly kill the program will result in someone's death or injury -- you're not yet ready to code at this level.
    Bob Schor
To expand on this idea, I usually write up at least a "casual" requirements document - even if it's just a few paragraphs - and code each "requirement" as a subVI.

  • QT Pro Stops Recording Randomly

I am using QT Pro 7 to record with my iSight camera on my 13" unibody MacBook. It will simply stop recording (time lapse in bottom left hand corner stops and memory used in bottom right corner stop elapsing). However, the video still appears live. I stop the recording at that point and it just hangs. What's frustrating is that I can think I have been recording for a long time at that point because the video remains live, the green iSight light is on etc, and I may have only recorded two minutes of video which is corrupted anyhow. I called Apple and got the run around (apparently NO department handles QT Pro questions).
I know it's a long shot but the recording I lost today (about an hour long) due to this bug was really important to me. Is there any way anyone knows of where I could find the raw data of this somwhere in the computer? Do you think it may have actually still been recording somewhere even though it appeared to stop?

To the latter 2 questons, no, and no.
QT is not the greatest recorder but you might find Quicktime Broadcaster to be a lot more trustworthy and it is free.

  • AA CS6 stops recording

I have a recording problem that keeps recurring with AA CS6 (5.0.2 Build 5).
It intermittently stops recording and the only way I can get it to start recording again is to restart my computer (not just AA).
Even if I quit or force quit out of AA and reopen the program the same problem occurs unless I reboot the whole system.
I am using a Scarlett 2i2 preamp running into my mid 2010 Macbook Pro (OS 10.7.5)
Often when I try to close AA during this problem I get the message, "One or more files are actively processing jobs. Please cancel these jobs or wait for them to finish".
This message comes even when I am opening a new file and nothing has been recorded yet.
Actually I can get Audition to record again without restarting the computer if I switch my hardware preferences from the Scarlett 2i2 preamp to "Built in input".
Then it will record.  But when I switch back to to 2i2 it remains frozen.  The system seems to think that something is processing.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.  I am growing tired of having to keep rebooting my computer.
    Thanks!

    Hi Steve,
I did go to Scarlett and download their fix.  It seems to be working.
I even unplugged the preamp and plugged it in again while I had a file open which has always produced the glitch in the past.
It looks like that may have taken care of the issue!  I will have to give the system more of a test drive bc it is an intermittent problem.
Thanks so much for your suggestion! I think it has cleared up the problem.
    Cheers,
    Owen

  • Why does my nano stop recording my workout?

The past two nights, my nano has stopped recording my workout before I finish my treadmill exercise.  The first night the nano had paused the workout recording and was waiting for me to pick music.  The second night the nano actually just stopped recording the workout, just like as if I had hit the end workout button.  The nano is in my shorts pocket and I know without a doubt that I am not accidentally causing this.  Has anybody else experienced this type of problem?

    Hi newz4,
If you are having issues with your iPad not continuing to record video even with sufficient space available, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • How can I record data from 2 devices synchronously

    Hi,
I've been working on this VI for some time now and I've already recieved some prior help from these forums, so I hope I can get this problem solved.
I have a DAQpad 6020e, a hot wire thermo anemometer, and Labview 7.1.  I need to take voltage measurements from the DAQpad at a scan rate I specify (I have it set to 1000 in the screenshot), while simultaneously taking readings from the anemometer.  However, the anemometer only takes readings every 1.6 seconds, which it sends to the serial port in ASCII.
I have tried many iterations of this vi to try to get the data to come out synchronously.  By synchronously, I just mean I want both measurements to START at the EXACT same time.  Obvisously the scan rates are drastically different so I will have far more measurements from the DAQpad, but that is ok so long as both measurements start at the same time.  I cannot control when the anemometer makes its reading, so what I have attempted to do is as follows:
    1.  VI starts, both reads initialize, then DAQpad scan begins.
    2.  If Scan Rate and "Scans to read" are equal, it takes one second for measurements to start being recorded from the DAQpad.
    3.  In an attempt to synchronize the measurements, I attempted to tell the anemometer WHILE loop (serial) to wait until the first measurement has been recorded from the DAQpad.  (**Note, I have also tried using the "number read" lead off of the AI read command).
    4.  Because I only get 1 reading from my anemometer per 1.6 seconds, I can't predict when the next reading will be.  But I want my measurements to be corrolated in time, so I have attempted to start the measurement file as soon as the case structure starts.  This way, even if the very first reading is invalid, the rest of the readings will be valid and will be taken at times that directly correlate with the DAQpad measurements.
I have run this vi many times, with different results.  I have gotten it to run sucessfully many times, meaning that both measurement files started recording data at the exact same instant, even if the anemometer reading wasn't available yet (I know this because the second measurement was taken at a time earlier than 1.6 seconds, meaning that the file did not wait for a measurement to be obtained in order to assign a value at 0 time).  HOWEVER, other times, this vi does not run correctly.  Sometimes the anemometer readings begin before the DAQpad readings, sometimes after.  In every case where the vi does not work, it appears that the anemometer measurement has waited for its first measurement to be recorded at time 0 instead of starting the measurement file when the DAQpad starts.
I need to know why this vi doesn't run consistently.  I can see it do what I want it to do over and over again, but I can't use this vi if it is not 100% consistent.
    Thank you,
    Jake

For future reference, just post the actual VI.  It is easier to troubleshoot than a print as a PDF.
Given the software complexities of separate threads and serial bus versus PCI bus, I don't see how you can say that the measurements actually start at the same time.  The only way you can say that the measurements started together was if you were using a hardware trigger.

  • How to do validation on multi record block at run time...

    Dear Friends,
I have to do validation at run time on multi record block.
If user tries to enter and save two or more records in same multi record block with same data at run time, it should not allow it and display a message like, " error : Records are having same(duplicate) values. "
I already did validation with the data coming from database table using cursor. But confused about how to do at run time(on one screen only) ??
Please, give details about how to check duplicate records on form block before saving it to the table ????
Regarding details would be greatly helpful.
    thanks,

    Hi...Pankaj
    thanx for your reply..
I already did validation for the data coming from table....
but I need to do it on form only...at run time...
    exa...
    In one multi record block
    record no : column 1 : column 2 : column 3
    1 abc 123 hi
    2 abc 123 hi
so it should check on the form itself, here I m not getting data from table...I am just
navigating from first record to second using down arrow.
    so, may be 2 possibilities.
    1) when user navigates using tab to third record, it should say like two duplicate records.(may be like when validate record or item)
    2) or when user tries to save, it should say two duplicate records.
so, everyting should take place on form screen only.....
    waiting for your reply,
    thanx...

  • HOW TO create a temp table or a record group at run time

i have a a tabular form and i dont want to allow the user entering duplicate
records while he is in insert mode and the inserted records are new and not exsisting in the database.
so i want to know how to create a temp table or a record group at run time to hold the inserted valuse and compare if they are exsiting in previous rows or no.
    please help!

As was stated above, there are better ways to do it. But if you still wish to create a temporary block to hold the inserted records, then you can do this:
Create a non-database block with items that have the same data types as the database table. When the user creates a new record, insert the record in the non-database block. Then, before the commit, compare the records in the non-database block with those in the database block, one at a time, item by item. If the record is not a duplicate, copy the record to the database block. Commit the records, and delete the records in the non-database block.
