Sent email through Gmail server.

I have Coldfusion 9 and I wonder if it is possible to send emails you have in the queue every second.
Currently we send mail through Gmail server and you do not need classified as Coldfusion send spam emails with an interval of one second each.
Anyone can help me?

I will look at the settings in her gmail in a web browser. I assumed there was really only two way for one server to get emails from another.
1. Charter is set to foward all emails to Gmail and keep the email on Charter's serve too. (not what is happening here)
2. Gmail somehow reachs into Charter's server and downloads the mail to gmail. I suppose there would be options to leave the email on Charter's server. (But that doesn't explain why Charter's server doesn't keep the original email).
But instead what is happening here seems to be that gmail reachs into Charter server, hijacks the email and somehow deposits the hijacked mail back to Charter after it performs gmails rules.
Never having used the "unified" Andoid option (and I assume that was how it was done) I would have assumed the unified system would poll from mail from all accounts and put it into one box. But that doesn't seem to be happening here. But maybe they didn't do it from the phone but from the gmail web instead changing Charter's mail to gmail by taking the mail before Charter puts it on the server?
Here is what I want for her. Her phone would poll Charter and Gmail and put all emails in a common folder on the phone without Gmail modifiying the email sent to the Charter's address. Of course if the email was being put on the Gmail server then I would expect gmail to apply their own rules... but not to the email left on the Charter account.
Anyway I thank you for your response and will check her Gmail web setup.
BTW I'm in over my head here. :-)

    Pop account

Check your mail preferences. The example below is from the mail app that comes with mac. In my case I'm using yahoo mail which is a POP3 account. POP stands for post office protocol which is the set of rules used by a POP mail account to transfer mail. You can learn more about it here if interested. If the box below is checked, all the mail will be downloaded to your computer when you check your mail using the built in mail app and removed from the mail server. Here is another page to help you set up your hotmail account for use the the mac mail application. Hope this clears things up.

You can do this however not sure I would recommend that since if people complain they are getting spammed it could effect your production servers domain/IP, i.e. it could get black listed.   Personally I always recommend using a different system for
email blast  to protect my production IP addresses and also to keep the load off of exchange as well as email marketing systems have built in capabilities for reporting, opt in/out capabilities etc.
All of that said perhaps you can tell us more about what exactly it is you want to do and how often?

  • *** Sent emails from GMAIL account appear in Inbox of´MAIL` ***

I just opend an account with MAIL.
The trasnfer of my emails worked, but all emails (received and sent ones) from my Gmail account appear in the inbox of mail.
All sent ones appear only in the sent box, if I sent them from the mail programm. If I sent any email from my Gmail account the always be transferd all in the inbox of the mail programm.
I don´t havy any clue what to do. I already checkes all settings - I guess...
    I need assistance - please!
p.s. it´s a pop account, if this matters...

This is intended behavior with Gmail POP access,
however weird it may seem. Gmail POP access does not
work as a normal POP mail server should (points 4 and
5 below are relevant to your "problem"):
    1. Messages downloaded by any conventional POP
mail client are marked as downloaded at the
server, and no longer available to either the
same or any other mail client.
    2. To make already downloaded Gmail messages
available for POP access again, you must log into
your Gmail account with a web browser and re-enable
POP downloading for all your messages, which will
cause everything (and I mean everything) still
    there to be downloaded again.
    3. Any "Remove copy from server" account settings in
Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Advanced have
absolutely no effect on the messages stored on the
server. The reason is that, after being downloaded,
those messages are no longer available to any mail
client, not even to the same client that has just
downloaded them, not even for deleting them or
checking whether they are still there.
    4. Messages created and sent using the web interface
will be downloaded by your POP mail client as if they
were incoming messages. You can set up a rule in Mail
to automatically route those messages to the
appropriate Sent mailbox (or to any other mailbox for
that matter) if that's what you want. Although this
may seem weird, it's good because it allows archiving
all messages locally in Mail, regardless of how they
were sent -- as long as you don't access the same
Gmail account with more than one mail client, that
    is.
David, thanks for your reply. Yes, point 4 seems to be relevant for my problem. How does it work to "set up a rule in Mail to automatically route those messages to the Sent Mailbox" (in Mail). I want my messages downloaded from my Gmail account to be ordered in the Inbox and Outbox in Mail (like it is ordered in Gmail). The messages which I sent from the gmail account should not appear in the Inbox of Mail...
    5. Messages created and sent using a POP mail client
such as Mail are also treated as if they were
incoming messages for POP purposes, just as in 4.
What prevents them from being downloaded is that
Gmail marks them as already downloaded immediately.
They would, however, be downloaded if Gmail settings
were changed as described in 2 above.

  • How do I stop sent email from Gmail from appearing in my Mac Mail?

I use my Mac Mail to send my personal emails... However I also use it to monitor my work email. However, when I use my work Gmail account to send multiple messages either on my phone or on my computer through Gmail, whenever I go into mac Mail I have 40+ copies of the emails I sent. I tried to look in the setting if there's something that disables this... Can anyone help? It's so annoying. I send more than 40 emails a day... I don't wanna have to sort through what I sent and what I received in my email. Thanks!

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
Have you clicked the arrowhead to the left of the Inbox?
It reveals each account you've set up with Mail.
Just click on the individual account you want to view, and only those messages will be displayed.
To return to viewing all received messages, click back on Inbox at the top.
Same for Drafts, Sent, Trash, and Junk.

  • Can not sent email through Outlook 2003

Over the last few weeks I have been traveling in Canada and logging on through other peoples routers with no problemsI. Today I can access the web through a relations Bell wirless router and can access my mail at BT Yahoo. However when I try to use Outlook 2003 in the usual way I am reciving emails but all my sent emails are hanging in my Outbox. My wife is on a sub account of mine and she is having the same problems.

    PaddyRay wrote:

I have tried Live Chat with a waiting time of 25mins at the end of which I am told "No agent available"
I am not compuer literate, I just want to use my email in the manner I have done on countless trips abroad.
    Hi again.
Can you confirm your smtp settings (mail server) and whether you have set smtp authentication, and make sure that SPA (secure password authentication) is unticked.
Like I said, to use the BTinternet mail servers you typically need to be connected to a BT connection. It does seem strange that you were able to use it before in my view, as it will usually fail.
I've read a few of your previous posts - the desktop help is in my view of very little value and can be uninstalled.
It could be a security package interferring with the process - what package do you have ? (e.g. anti-virus etc).

  • How to get sent mail from Gmail server onto my mac

I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard. When configuring Mail I used POP ( I prefer it) with my Gmail account and it tediously uploaded all my received mail from the Gmail server to my mac mail program. How do I get the sent mails on the Gmail server onto my computer?

Not sure if this will work as I use IMAP. Go to Mail>Preferences>Accounts> click on mailbox behaviour, uncheck 'store sent messages on server' if it is checked. Then try a fetch mail and see if it works.

  • Leaving copies of emails on Gmail server when sync...

    Hi
After fiddling with the Nokia Email app (for 5800XM), it now seems to sync completely with the server.
e.g. if I delete an email after downloading to phone, it deletes from my Gmail account (on the web)
It didn't used to do this, and this was the behaviour I preferred.
    How can I re-initiate this ?
    thanks

The email widget does not sync immediately sometimes.  I find that sometimes there is a delay when I delete the email before it syncs with the server.  From my own observations, it appears that the syncing happens when you receive a new email.  If you delete an email from your phone, it will not sync immediately and the email will remain when you check the gmail server.  Then once you receive a new email in your account, it will then start to sync and delete the email from the gmail server.

Our Answers below them... I scrubbed out the "real servers and email addresses" from the answers..
I know most of this has been sent in an Adobe Ticket by the CF admin, but I see something isn't right!.
Some questions, based on that assumption:
    1) Does the connection to the Exchange server verify in CFAdmin?
    Yes
    2) Have you switched all the mail logging options on, and set to DEBUG?  Anything useful being logged?
    "Error","scheduler-4","10/26/09","16:20:25",,"Invalid Addresses"
    3) Is the email failing to send from CF, or is it failing to be forwarded by Exchange?
It’s being sent by Coldfusion but getting stuck in the undeliverable dir.
    4) Can Exchange log failed / refused connections, and is it logging attempted connections from the CF server?
I trolled all the logs for Exchange, found only one line in months of logs:
    A non-delivery report with a status code of 5.1.8 was generated for recipient rfc822;[email protected] (Message-ID  <[email protected]>).
    10/6/2009

    ourmailserver
    A non-delivery report with a status   code of 5.1.8 was generated for recipient rfc822;[email protected]   (Message-ID  <[email protected]>).
    5) Are the messages getting stuck in the spool dir on the CF server, or being placed in the undeliverable dir, or vanishing (suggesting they're being sent)
They are getting stuck in the undeliverable dir.
    6) What happens if you set up a simple, stand-alone, test rig with a hard-coded <cfmail> test mail to an email address within your own Exchange system?  If that works, try changing it to an "outside world" one.
Tried this and works fine with and address with in our Exchange system and when it is switched to an outside world address it gets stuck in the undeliverable dir like always.
    7) Anything in the CF or JRun logs?
This is what we are getting in the Log files as the problem (but anID @ gmail.com is a valid email):
    "Error","scheduler-0","10/06/09","15:59:24",,"Invalid Addresses"

  • Can't send email through SMTP server

As some others have reported, I recently started having problems sending emails (most of the time) through my regular smtp server (receiving is not an issue). Once in a while it does go out, but most of the time I get a message "Can't send message using the server smtp.XXXX.com". I know it's not the smtp server as I can go out with my browser and use webmail and it sends fine, using the same server.
It only affects this one main email account - my other accounts seem fine (including gmail, mac, and another pop accounts), at least so far.
It is extremely frustrating - saw a whole lot of ideas for fixing it (changing ports, etc.), but don't want to mess up all the accounts that are working. I'm a long time Mac user, but not a real techie.

I know it's not the smtp server as I can go out with my browser
and use webmail and it sends fine, using the same server.
This is wrong. Whether you can send via webmail has nothing to do with whether you can send using a standard mail client such as Mail. The outgoing server that ends up delivering the message may be the same in both cases, but the outgoing server you communicate with is not. Actually, when sending via webmail you don’t even use SMTP to communicate with the outgoing server.
There are circumstances under which you may not be able to send using a standard mail client such as Mail no matter what you do (e.g. because the ports needed for SMTP are blocked by the ISP at the location you’re trying to send from), whereas webmail works fine — and may be your only option in those cases.
If it works sometimes, that means your account settings are probably correct, but you cannot discard that there is a problem with the outgoing (SMTP) server that Mail has to communicate with, even if sending via webmail works fine.

That said, go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network, choose Network Port Configurations from the Show popup menu, and make sure that the configuration used to connect to Internet appears at the top of the list. Leave checked (enabled) only the port configuration needed to connect to Internet and Built-in Ethernet (in that order if not the same), uncheck (disable) the rest of network port configurations and see whether that helps — if it doesn’t, turn ON again the ones you want enabled.
Try using a different method to connect to Internet, if possible, or connecting the computer to Internet as directly as possible (i.e. bypassing any routers that might be present, using an ethernet cable instead of wireless, etc.), or shutting down both the computer and the router/modem used to connect to Internet, restarting, and see whether that makes a difference.
Mail keeps information about outgoing (SMTP) servers in a separate list independently of the mail accounts themselves. The account settings just associate one of the available outgoing servers with each account. Orphaned or dangling outgoing server entries (i.e. not associated with any account) sometimes cause weird sending problems.
Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Account Information > Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), choose Edit Server List from the popup menu, and delete any servers that shouldn’t be there — the Edit Server List panel shows the account each outgoing server is associated with.
If the problem persists and you have more than one mail account, try moving the account that has the problem to the top of the list in Preferences > Accounts.
