Sent emails moving

On iCloud, my sent emails don't go in to the "Sent" folder, it went to a folder called "Sent Messages". I looked at the rules and it says that the sent messages go into the "Sent" folder, but they don't! What's going on here?!

Never mind, I fixed the problem.

  • Sent Emails Moved to Undeliverable Folder

I'm experiencing a problem with CF7 occasionally moving into
the Undelivered folder emails that were actually sent (and
received). I have a scheduled task that hourly moves files from the
Undelivered folder back into the Spool folder, and this has
resulted in emails being sent multiple times on occasion. For
example, I have an email sent to me at 3:00 a.m. every morning. I
receieved it 3 times, spaced an hour apart. I would have received
it a fourth time, but I found the email in the Undelivered folder
and deleted it so the routine would not dump it back into the spool
folder at the top of the next hour.
Here are the ColdFusion log entries that document the
situation for the email I described above:

How do I stop CF from moving into the Undelievered folder an
email that actually got sent? Is this a CF problem, a Java problem,
    or a mail server problem?

  • IOS 8 sent emails moved to outbox with recipient removed

    Hi,
I've been trying to send emails with iOS 8 (iPhone 5S).  I'm finding that the email isn't being sent, but is sitting in the outbox. Strangely, the recipient address has been removed too.  It seems that if I try a couple of times (adding the recipient address again while the email sits in the outbox) I am able to make the recipient stick and eventually it will send!
    Any help would be appreciated!
And yes, I have tried deleting the email accounts from the phone and setting them up again So far I've avoided a full restore of the iPhone though...

I have exactly the same problem but nothing to do with the keyboard.
I notice that it happens if I send email and the phone is not able to send them at that time (plane mode or simply out of coverage) as soon as I have back the coverage the mail remains stacked in the outbox with no destiny address

  • Apple Mail (10.7) Sent Emails...where are they

I have sent over 140 emails since August 3rd using OSX Lion and NONE, Yes NONE are showing in Apple Mail's "Sent" files.
As usual I went back to Outlook 2011 and all 142 sent emails are there.
What the heck is going on with Apple Mail??????
    ....Cannot search for anything
    .....Cannot find sent emails
    and more..
Hate to say that so far Outlook 2011 is MUCH better, but I hope that this is not true and someone can give us a reason why so far Apple Mail is a HUGE disappointment.
    Thx Much

I have this problem with our exchange 2007 accounts. Since I installed Lion I noticed the sent folder didn't contain any of the exchange accounts, I carried on for a few days but the sent folders never appeared. So I deleted each of the four exchange accounts I use in my company and set them up again. Hurrah! the sent items appeared but after a few days they disappeared again. Here is my screen shot of the settings used, which by the way i havent changed.
Just to end I'd say that I like Mail in Lion but this bug? is making it unusable so I've moved to Outlook while it gets fixed.

  • Sent email not recieved on othere end

A week ago I sent an e-mail that was never recieved by the reciepient.
It is still in my outbox, and is no showing up (asa it normally wouldn't becuase it would be deleted after sending) in my verizon.net account online.
Is there any way to track what happened to it and where (verizon - the receipients provider  - proof that it got transfered to their inbox...)?

Sorry to hear about your email not being received. This email did not get to their  inbox. Emails in the outbox are pending to be sent. Once it has been sent, its moved to the sent box. Please check the recipients email address and make sure there are no typos or any extra characters in the TO: field that shouldn't be there. If additional help is still required, please reply back.

  • Retrieving Sent Emails (read further description...)

    Hello
Okay, Apple's "Mail" wasn't receiving new Emails, so I did as it said in 'Help' and moved all inbox items to a newly created Mailbox folder, before deleting my Email Account. But I wasn't thinking!! I had no idea it would erase my Sent items! (Duhh!)
I re-added my Email account and am pleased to say it now receives new messages, but, yep, all sent messages are gone from my previous year's use of Mail.
Is there any way ... ANY way at all I could get them back?? I also have a Time Capsule and Time Machine backs up every hour ... any chance I could use this somehow to retrieve my Sent emails? Or perhaps someone knows of a program which would retrieve deleted emails?
Thanks so much for any helpful answers

If you have a Time Machine backup, just launch Mail.app, select your Sent mailbox and invoke Time Machine. It should load your mailboxes in the Time Machine interface, from where you can select your sent messages and restore them to your mailbox.

  • Sent email box empty even though I've snet an emai...

On my Nokia N8 once I've sent an email I cannot see it again in my 'sent' box. I know that people are receiving the emails but I have no record of them.

    I'm having this problem too.
    I have a Nokia N8.
To clarify, my sent items are being saved, but to a folder on the phone rather than the IMAP folder on my server.
By going through settings, I am able to download the folders from the IMAP server, but there is no option to select which folder is the default for sent email.  So I can now see the items in sent items on my phone, but I can't set the phone to save sent items to this folder.  There also doesn't seem to be a way of moving messages from the Nokia sent items folder to the IMAP sent items folder.
My friend was showing me the settings he has available on his iPhone, he has a screen which lets him choose the default folders for his inbox, sent items, deleted items and drafts.  Naturally, he has all of his defaults set to the server rather than the phone.  This would be invaluable, being able to draft a message on the train and then just keep working on it in Outlook at the office for instance.
This seems like such basic functionality.
Come on Nokia, get your act together.

  • Mail is putting multiple copies of sent emails in my drafts folder, or in trash.

Mail is putting copies of emails successfully sent in my drafts folder, sometimes multiple copies, sometimes in trash.
Also, new email keeps entering my inbox after I've moved it to other mailboxes or to the trash or junk mail. Also, if I search for a name to which I have sent or from which I have received an email, the results shows a copy of each mail in all these mailboxes: Important, All Mail, Sent Mail, Sent G-Mail. This is a recent phenomenon. For every sent email I get 5 copies in my trash box.

I phoned up Appe Support yesterday and i discovered that SOME (not all) of my trouble was caused by my 2 Gmail accounts, which werent correctly designated as Gmail Server WITH the correct password, it was set to use the server from one of my other accounts.
I do still have another problem which doesnt go away, i open Mail normally and there is ghost Open Window, which cannot be opened, to view my Mail i have to open a NEW viewer window, even though there is a Window open all ready, the Ghost window !

  • Sent emails dissappeared

    Hi,
I've let my sent email box get too large and now all the emails have dissappeared. Not realising that all the emails were going into one file, which I now know is the mbox file. My mbox is 1.96Gb,
I've tried updating from Panther to Tiger, tried rebuild and moved the mbox file to another computer to see if that will open it and all the appears are my emails sent in the last 48 hours from when the problem started.
Any help would be very gratefully received as this is driving me mad.

OK, I haven't really tried it, but I've taken a look, and it seems to accomplish the same that importing the old mbox files using the Other import option in Mail 2.0 would. I guess all mail came up as unread and some "deleted" messages could have reappeared as well.
What probably makes this utility useful is that it guides you trough the steps that must be taken, making the transition process to appear simpler, despite it actually being more convoluted. It's a neat and clever way of being able to import mail into any mail client, nevertheless -- provided the old mail is available in mbox format, that is.
BTW, the product is made by Weird Kid Software. Emetrix is the provider of the e-commerce solution they use for their web store.
    Thanks for the feedback.

  • Missing sent emails

    Hi
it's my first time writting a topic here, but I just want to know if I am the only stupid in the world suffering this problem.
I have configured my Mobileme IMAP account on mail Mail.app 3.6
I have changed the smtp server with the configuration of my office email, so when I send an email it seems I do it from my office email account.
    Until there everything works perfect.
But, every now and then, when I send an email, it won't be saved in the sent folder. It is actually sent (because I have answers to the email) but it just won't appear in the sent folder.
This is very inconvenience to me, because sometimes, the sent email is the proof of e.g. a booking or whatever, and I need the email ....
I have been fighting against this problem for months, and I don't know if this is a Leopard problem, a Mail.app problem, a Internet connection problem, a general IMAP problem, a configuration problem , a mobileme problem...
A couple years ago, I used to use entourage as mail software, and I don't remember having this problem, although I don't remember either if the account was configured as an IMAP account.
I have partially found a "solution" setting me always as a Cco, and making a rule that all emails coming from my address have to be moved to a folder I have created (sentbackup). So I always have a copy, but this is just more trafic, more space,...
Is this happening to anyone alse? do you experts know what could be the problem?
I would really apprecite if you help me on this
Muchas gracias and greetings from Spain!

    Hi APK25,
If your Sent messages aren't showing up where you expect them to, you may want to take a look at the following article:

I have an iMac 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 with 16 GB memory and 1.12 TB storage running Yosemite 10.10.1 & Outlook 2011 for Mac.  For a while, sent emails went to a sent folder on the iMac so I have a collection of sent emails there.  I have attempted to move those sent emails from the iMac to my email server (IMAP), but without success.  Is there a way to move them to a sent box on my server so I can see them on other devices?  Many thanks for any help you can provide.

Go to: Apple > System Preferences > Universal Access and in the Seeing tab make sure that the Display Enhance contrast: is set to Normal.
Alternatly, try holding the  ⌃⌥⌘ (control command alt) keys and then pressing the , (comma) key a few times.

  • In my MacBook Pro "sent" mailbox emails are listed by my email address but on my iPad the "sent" emails are listed by the sent email address?

On my MacBook Pro in the "sent" mailbox emails are listed by my email address but on my iPad the "sent" emails are listed by the sent email address.  Very hard to look at the address where the message was sent to?

After upgrading to IOS 7.0.3 the problems gone.
There is no mention of this being a bug or a fix so im thinking a software glitch was the issue.
When I look at a message in my inbox and it says "To: JB Manz" - I click my name and it shows my contact info including my 4 email addresses and the address the message was addressed to is highlighted blue, others all black.
Not sure how it got fixed but it's working like it used to.

  • In Mail where can i find my sent emails? How do I open this send box?

In Mail how do I open the send box? I need to find and forward my sent emails.

If you hold the iPad in landscape orientation you should see your email account id (or Mailboxes if you only have one email account set up on the iPad) shown top left. Tap on your account id (or Mailboxes), and then tap on Sent to show your Sent emails. You should then be able to select an email and Reply/Reply All/Forward/Print them via the arrow icon top right.
