About a month ago, most of the Album art on my iPod just up and disappeared.
So, about a month ago, for no apparent reason at all, almost all of the album art on all of the music on my iPod just disappeared and was replaced by the default white art. It even happened to most of my purchased music! As time passed, some of it gradually re-appeared, which is really weird, but most of it is still gone. I have 174 albums on my ipod and about only 1/4 of them have art. Before this problem happened, almost every single album had art. I meticulously spend HOURS adding really nice album art to the music on my iPod, and then this happens.
I'm genuinely quite upset. I use my iPod a LOT and have put a lot of money into Apple. A problem like this should not be happening. I'm actually very tech-savvy (going to be getting a CS degree) but this problem baffles me at every turn and it's extremely frustrating.
So, last night, I tried to fix the problem again. I made an album in my music folder and added the proper information to each song, with an album cover (500X500 - all of my album art is 500X500) in the folder where the songs reside. I then plug my iPod in and open iTunes. I then go into file and add the album to my iTunes library, and then I go to the songs and add the album cover to their information via the "add artwork" submenu of the get info on the songs. I then sync the songs to my iPod normally, and the album art shows up on them. Great. Wonderful.
I then think, "Oh, maybe I can fix all of my OTHER album art manually!".
So I go to my artists on my iPod and find an album titled Asteroid (it's a song by Rameses B) which doesn't have a cover but should. I deleted it off of my iPod. I then plugged my iPod back into my computer and tried to re-sync the song Asteroid back onto my iPod but nothing happened. It WOULD NOT, and I mean WOULD NOT sync that **** song to my iPod. It just sat there like I never did anything at all. My method of syncing is that I find the song and drag-drop it to the iPod menu on the right side of my screen.
So then I kind of gave up for the night. It was midnight and I was done with this **** after trying to get that song to sync for at least 20 minutes.
So I eject the iPod from my computer (SAFELY) and close iTunes normally, bla bla bla, go to sleep.
I get up this morning and go to my music app and ALL OF MY ALBUM ART ON EVERYTHING IS GONE. *POOF*, gone. Including the songs that I'd synced last night! What the ****! How does that even happen?!
Some more information:
I'm running Windows 7 with a fully updated iTunes. My iPod is fully updated as well. As in iOS 7.1.0, non-Beta. It's an iPod touch 5th generation.
So, my question is, how the heck do I get my album art back on my darn iPod?! I have tried manually re-syncing individual songs after deleting them off of my iPod and they won't re-sync. I have also tried re-syncing my entire music library to my iPod, and the result was the same as before. Most of the album art didn't transfer to the iPod.
I'm extremely frustrated at this point. I'm at the very verge of jailbreaking this thing and iFunbox-ing all of my album art over to it forcefully. If Apple can't fix my problem, I will. I'm at that point right now.

I'm a Windows XP convert... switched to an imac about 4 months ago and am LOVIN' it As a graphics designer I did use a feature on my Windows machine which I really miss on my mac... beaing able to see a preview of one of the images in a folder on top of the folder icon. In other words, in Windows, you can see the first image that is inside the folder as an icon on the folder itself. Is there a way to do this on the mac? Maybe some software program that will do it? Thanks for you help!
It would be brilliant if Apple could make picture folders behave like events in iPhoto. You could see a photo on the folder, and also mouse over it to change pictures.
But no, there's not an application I'm aware of that does this. You can manually make a picture the folder icon, but it's a tedious process.
Unfortunately this is another example of how dated and worn out the Mac's interface is. The concept of using a file folder as the icon for a directory of images is so 80's. You could use coverflow, but that only helps once you're in the directory itself. Or use iPhoto or Aperture, although they just do photos. Or try Lyn as an alternative: it has a sort of iTunes-like interface, and makes it easy to organize photos without having to put them in iPhoto. And it can display photos that are already in Libraries.
But you'd probably need a Finder alternative. I use Leap, which displays any type of document. It also does tagging, which is another huge omission in the Finder. More like Windows Explorer (although still no photo on folder icons).
Another very stylish Finder alternative, especially useful for pictures, is FileBrowse. I don't know why it hasn't gotten more attention. It DOES put photo previews on the folders it shows. And allows one-click expansion to show the photo enlarged. It's super fast, and even allow you to group/sort by camera or flash! It really has to be seen to be appreciated. About a month ago a song randomly appeared in my songs list and when I tried swiping to the left to delete the song it wouldn't slide over to show the delete button. The delete slide appears with all of my other songs except that one. The ICloud songs are turned off and it wasn't iTunes Radio. 2 more songs like this have appeared and I can't delete them from both my iPhone or my computer (they don't even show up on my computer). If somebody knows how to fix this that would be amazing! Thank You.

My Apple ID has been disabled. I have set a new password, but it still is saying disabled. About six months ago my itunes was hacked. Itunes replaced the money, but now I am cannot get in. Is there anyone who might be able to help me out? Thanks

About a month ago my wifi switch greyed out. I went through all the trouble shooting and ended up going to the Genius Bar and got a new iPhone 4S. Now the switch greyed out on the new one.. help!

I bought my ipod touch 5 about 9 months ago it is no longer working right there are vertical colored stripes on half the screen and it automatically is clicking things that i didn't want opened. There are third-party firms that do repairs on iDevices, and there are places where you can order parts to DIY if you feel up to the task. Start with Google to search for these. -
Somce an update about a month ago, iTunes no longer shows which songs on a particular album I've previously purchased. Does anyone know why? For example, I purchase a number os songs fro Glee individually. When a new compilation album comes out, iTunes used to indicate which ones I've already purchased. Now it doesn't.

I purchased the Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 about 6 months ago. I want to install it to my new computer which is a Macbook Pro with no CD Drive. How do I install it when I got it in CD form?
I doubt the license is affecting the performance - it might be a case of the software being too old for the machine.

I have a new phone and when asked do i want to start this phone as a new phone or back up from last backup, i chose to back up from last back up and have had my recent photos texts and call replaced with ones from about 18 months ago. is there any way of undoing this?

about a month ago, Mavericks had an automatic update. I have a Windows 7 partition bootcamped on my macbook pro. Before the update, everything was fine. Now, when I attempt to start Windows partition, as soon as I touch the keyboard or mouse the screen goes black and I can't go any further. I have tried to re-load the bootcamp drivers and try again. It does the same thing. Any help would be great.

About a month ago I was trying to get the pics off my husbands phone into our icloud for printing. It recognized it as my ipod and synced to that, erasing all of his pics. We had just been on a trip to Tahiti and there were alot of pics lost. I spoke to a representative at the apple store on Friday that recommended trying something since it was backed up to my icloud. She was wanted me to try to restore the device back to that date or before. Any tips on how to do this? I have trouble right clicking and am not seeing what she was talking about. I'm getting kernel panics each day as I shut down, the message of restarting by holding down the power button appears on the screen - it began about a month ago and. Do you have any ideas of how to solve the problem? I've copied the logs that I found for each kernel panic that still have the message logged. Please help if you can, I have read some of the other comments and perhaps it has something to do with my anti-virus software being on at start up. I have copied the log here. Any advice will be welcome.

Two experiments you can try.
1. Boot in safe mode and see if you can shut down normally. All thise additions won't be running in safe mode so this test would indicate it is one of them causing the problem.
2. Uninstall all the intego VirusBarrier stuff. That's my first guess and the troublemaker.
