Sent mail error 452 4.3.1

User sent an email today to several recipients. He got back undeliverable
to just one of the recipients referencing a 450 Host Down error. In the log
I see:
Send Failure: 452 4.3.1 Insufficient system resources
Our resource levels appear to be more than fine. Anything I can do about
this, or just the error being returned from the recipient? TIA.

That's from the recipient. GW doesn't issue such a message.

    Hello, mannatarora.
Thank you for the question.  The easiest way to troubleshoot this issue would be to delete the account and add it back to the iOS device.  Below, I have included two e-mail troubleshooting articles.

  • Sent Mail display error

Just detected an error in the displaying of sent mail messages (both in the preview pane and in the opened message window). When I click on a message that I have just sent to view its content, what the Mail app shows me is an old sent message in its place. I have been backtracking the problem, and it seems to have started yesterday. All the messages I sent don´t show in the preview pane (or window) instead Mail shows me an old sent message, some from 2007. The right messages are being sent. I have talked to the message recipients, and they are receiving the mail I wrote today, and not what Mail is showing. Tried restarting and repairing permissions, but the problem persists. Anyone knows a solution for this?
    Thanks in advance...

You might need to rebuild the mailbox. Highlight the sent mailbox and On the Mail Menu Choose Mailbox and the last option at the bottom is rebuild. Here is a copy of the Help for rebuild:
    *Rebuilding mailboxes*
In some cases, you might need to rebuild a mailbox to update the list of messages in the mailbox; for example, if messages appear to be missing or garbled, or if you can’t find all relevant messages when you search using Entire Message. Rebuilding a mailbox can take a while depending on how many messages are in the mailbox.
    To rebuild a selected mailbox:
    Choose Mailbox > Rebuild.
For Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) accounts, locally cached messages and attachments are discarded and the messages and attachments are downloaded again from the server to your computer. Your mailbox appears empty until the download is complete.

  • Tracking Error in senting mail through SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1

    Hi Gurus,
I am using the FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to sent mails via custom programs.  In many cases, when email id's does not exist or mailbox full for the receipient ID, it is throwing error in SCOT.  Is there any option through which I can track those mail id's which are failed from sending successfully in my program.  Please advice.
    Regards,
    Harish Haridas.

If you have 3 recipients passed through RECEIVERS table to the function - then at the end of the function call - if the RECEIVERS table would contain only the successful receivers. Hence by comparing a before and after snapshot of the RECEIVERS table - you'll be able to identify which are the failed receivers.

  • Iphone 3, sync'd with Exchange, sent mail goes to draft folder

Sent Mail (Exchange Account), is going to the drafts folder

NOTE: This also applies to Exchange 2010
You may want to check that you are getting Event ID 15002 or 15003 logged to the Application event log first before making this change.
    See this
    ExchangeServerPro article for reference.
    Also, see this
Krudler blog post for shortened version.
Please ensure if you are modifying the
"PercentageDatabaseDiskSpaceUsedHighThreshold" value in the EdgeTransport.exe.config file, you should take into consideration the percentage value notified in the Event Log.
    See this
MS Technet article for more technical information.
I had the same error as Shimon1 when using the MailFlow Tool in Exchange, however I did not have event 15002 in my Application Event Log. I resolved this problem by:
Modify the TCP/IP network protocol settings using the following commands
netsh int tcp set global chimney=disabled
netsh int tcp set global rss=disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsh int ip set global taskoffload=disabled
I noticed when viewing individual messages in the queue in Exchange Management Console Queue Viewer, they had this message:
"Error: 4.3.2 432 STOREDRV.Deliver; recipient thread limit exceeded"
This was resolved with the help of this
MS blog on Exchange SP1 improvements.
I made the following addition to the EdgeTransport.exe.config file.
        <add key="RecipientThreadLimit" value="2" />
        <add key="MaxMailboxDeliveryPerMdbConnections" value="3" />

  • Question about Sent Mail folder contents

    Hi Everyone.
this question requires a fair amount of background -- I tried my usually very helpful users' group and didn't get any responses. Here's the story:
I upgraded my macbook pro to Leopard partly because I thought Time Machine would make me backup more regularly (it has). I have a few sporadic backups from prior to the upgrade, and then I backed up right before I upgraded. I had a disk error during my first attempt at an archive & install, found that the disk was wiped, thanked my lucky stars I backed up beforehand, ran disk utility on the disk, and then did an erase & install instead.
After the upgrade, I used the migration assistant to restore my user account from my backup. At some point after the fact, I noticed that my sent mail mailbox in mail.app for my primary email account was missing all my emails except for the period from 3/30/05 to 4/15/05 and from 1/07 to 4/07.
I thought I was hosed, but today I found I had another backup on a second disk, and that one has 10,614 emails in the sent mail folder (to be precise Sent Message (account name).mbox/Messages/). After importing, I have all of those sent emails restored in a folder in mail.app.
However, during this process, I went and checked my Sent Messages mailbox in my current Library folder for this user account. In that folder (Library/Mail/Mailboxes/Sent Messages (this account).mbox), all of the files (content_index, Incoming_Mail, IncomingTable_ofContents, mbox, and tableofcontents) show an incorrect(?) created / modified / Last opened date of 5/26/05. The Info.plist file has the correct dates, and the Messages folder does, too. Those same files are in the Sent Messages folder on both of my backups, and have the same date (5/26/05) listed.
I actually pulled all of the files listed above with the weird dates and removed them from the Sent Messages.mbox folder. That doesn't seem to matter to mail -- everything still seems to be working just fine.
So, my question is, are those files crucial, or are they cruft from multiple generations of OS updates and mail.app updates that are no longer needed? It seems like no new versions were automatically generated when I removed the old ones, and mail doesn't seem to be broken.
I've been using mail.app at least since 2004 and the emails in the sent mail folder trace back to a Pbook G4 that started with OS X 10.1 (maybe even 10.0 -- my memory isn't as good as it used to be) and was upgraded with each major release, then I migrated to the current MacBook Pro and upgraded it from Tiger to Leopard. So I've probably used the migration assistant (or archive & install) to help me move files (or did it manually) through one laptop changed and four OS upgrades.
Any ideas about this Sent Messages question or in general about how I might clean up my Mail folder are appreciated.
    Thanks!

I have both POP and IMAP email accounts.
The IMAP is easy. Until you delete it is visible on both phone and computer. Once you delete it is gone from both, although with providers like Google, you can still un-delete it. Google, among others, provides free IMAP email.
For POP, there is a setting in Entourage preferences, (maybe in mail.app, too) that will let you decide to automatically delete the mail from the server, manually delete the mail from the server, or automatically delete after a period of time. I set my pop account to automatically delete from the server after one month. You set up the iPhone the same way - to leave it on the server. This way, a message will download to both your computer and to the iPhone. If you are working at your computer, you can still manually delete the message from the server so that it does not go to your iPhone, since you have already handled it. But even if you never delete from the server, it will automatically delete in a month so that you do not go over your email limit (if any) for your ISP.
Also, with my POP account, I set up the phone to automatically send a copy to me of all outgoing messages. This way my computer has a copy of everything I send from the phone.

  • Sent mailed not being saved

I have my preferences set to save Sent mail for a month. It is being saved for 2 days only. I have rebuilt the sent mailbox. Restarted, repaired permissions.
Thank you for help with this!

    Hello 17black.
This is an IMAP account, right? Who is the provider?
Do you get the error message while you compose the message or when you hit Send?
BTW, if you’re using Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), as your profile indicates, it would have been more appropriate to discuss this in the Mail & Address Book - Tiger forum. If the discussion applies to both Mail 1.x and Mail 2.x, it doesn’t really matter, but it’s difficult to know that in advance. The Mailbox Behaviors preference pane that you mention, for example, is called Special Mailboxes in Mail 1.x (and I’ll call it that way if we discuss the problem here).

  • Notification Mailer Error

    Hi
We are upgrading our system to linux. Problem we are getting is whenever we clone our system, notification mailer is giving error. When I submit the timesheet, I am getting the following error in the mail
    Error
Your session is no longer valid or your logon information could not be reestablished from your session.
Any faced a similar issue. Do i need to do something extra at the time of cloning for notification mailer

I have gone through all the finishing tasks of the cloning and updated all the workflow related tables and restarted services but somehow a dynamic xml is not generated. That is the reason why we get the error. Mailer, CM are all fine. The error is still showing up in the notifications sent.
Your session is no longer valid or your logon information could not be reestablished from your session.

  • Subscription mails - verification of sent mails

    Hi all,
does anybody know wether it´s possible to prove that subscription mails are really sent to every subscribed user? Means that (like in Sent Items box in MS Outlook) sent mails are stored anywhere? The reason why asking is that my customer have the rule of evidence from a juridical point of view.
    Any hint is welcome.
    Thanks,
    Andre

    Hi Andre
I am not sure that this information is stored in the portal, but it might be stored on the Windows 2003 server, if that is the origin of the smtp-server you are using. And if it isn't stored there pr. default I would assume that it is possible to higher the logging level or whatever, so the sent notifications will be stored.
If the portal does not return any subscription mail error, and the mails have not reached the subscribers, you will also most likely be able to see the mails on the smtp-server.
But if you have to prove that some mails already have been sent, then that is not much help to you.
    Hope it helps.
    Kind regards,
    Martin

  • "Sent mail" label with Enhanced Gmail plug-in

I have noticed the Enhanced Gmail plug-in only applies the label “sent mail” to all replied / forwarded mail, but not to the outgoing messages not related to a discussion. How can this be changed to get the label “sent mail” to all outgoing mails?

    Hi.
You are absolutelly right, a sent email, if it is sent as the first email of a conversation, dont get the flag "sent". You can not see such email in the conversation and in the sent flag filter.
This is a very annoying error of the Gmail RIM plugin, I hope, they will fix this bug very soon....

  • Sent mail is stopped

Suddenly I no longer have copies of mail I sent. I've deleted 90% of old mail and sent mail, still no copies of new mail I'm sending remain. Suggestions? Thanks.

    Ernie,
I am having the same problem. I was in the process of organizing my sent mail (placing important messages into corresponding client folders to keep track of threads) and found that some of the messages couldn't be moved (I got an error message, but didn't write it down at the time). I tried rebuilding the mailbox to see if that would clear it up and ALL of the messages in the Sent folder vanished!
I had a hard drive failure recently, so the system is a clean install of Tiger from the purchased disc, and then updated to 10.4.5.
The contents of my Sent Messages.mbox are as follows:
    - Info.plist - 4KB
    - Messages - 12.5 MB (folder with 111 files ending in .emix and ranging in size from 4KB to 1.6MB)
Clearly, the message files are there, but I can't access them in Mail. Can you tell me how to recover them, and maybe advise on how to prevent it happening again? (is this a bug, or some pre-defined limitation on file size or something?)
Thank you for any help you can provide. Let me know if you need more information.

  • How do I move or archive large numbers of old Sent mail messages?

I've created folders for past years Sent mail and tried moving my messages out of my Sent folder (for several accounts). They seem to move, but then I get a very basic error (with no details..): "34 messages could not be moved to the mailbox "2009 Sent -- On My Mac" An error occured while moving messages to mailbox "2009 Sent -- On My Mac"
I also get a similar error if I try to archive them. Admittedly I got WAY behind on doing this (they're from 09, 10, and 11), but there must be a way. I've tried selecting only a few months worth instead of the entire year and I still get the error. Is it an issue because they're from my Sent folder? Do I need to set up a special mailbox to move them to?
My goal is to get my Inbox and Sent boxes trimmed down.

I don't know what was happening but yesterday I went back and did the Export/Archive function and it ended up doing just as I expected, exporting the mailbox as an mbox format =finally!!!  Not sure why it went haywire but all is fine now.

  • Loosing Sent Mail

    Hi,
I get this message once and a while when I look in my Sent mail folder:
The message from Peter Carry <[email protected]> concerning “Speedline Tech- Electrovert quote and rental” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.
Mail does not say its "Working Offline" when this occurs. The usual fix is for me to exit Mail and re-strat, then I can see Sent mail just fine.
Can someone tell me what the problem is?
Also, related to this, which happened today and caused me great anguish, has to do with deleting sent mail. I typically retain about 3 months worth of sent mail. I just went to delete November's mail. I went into Sent and seleted all the November mail and deleteled. I exited the program and a message came up "Compaction Error, Mail will set back to pre compaction", something like that. Then when I ran Mail again the Sent folder was empty. Holy Cow !!!
This happened before about 5 months ago.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Pete,
On your initial post to start this Topic, your Profile said 10.4.2 -- I took my lead from that. If running 10.3.9 and Mail 1.3.11, then it is a different problem, and is a truly Overstuffed Mailbox. See:

  • "save sent  mail on server" does not work

    Hello,
When I send a Mail by MAIL via my IMAP account MAIL failed to save the sent mail on the server. However I can see the folder where usually sent mails are stored I have send by web mail. In the preferences I positively checked the "save mail on server" box and chose to store sent mails forever
I also cannot save email drafts. I get always an error message that the mail cannot be saved.
I have a similar issue that deleted mails are not moved to the "trash" folder of my mail account.
    Thanks & Regards, Joe

That command is mentioned in the “Renaming, moving, or deleting a mailbox” article, for example, but you wouldn’t find it searching for a solution to your problem in Mail Help amongst other reasons because it’s not a solution, it’s a workaround. Doing that shouldn’t be necessary for Mail to be able to store messages on the server, only for telling it to use a mailbox different from the one it would use by default.
Mail should be able to create any necessary mailboxes on the server or realize that they’re already there. If it doesn’t, it’s because there is something amiss, the problem usually being that the server uses a NAMESPACE feature that Mail doesn’t handle properly and that causes server-stored mailboxes to appear as subfolders of the account’s Inbox, even though they really aren’t — see “Can't create folders, only subfolders of INBOX” in the Courier FAQ, for example. Those IMAP accounts require INBOX to be put in Preferences > Accounts > Advanced > IMAP Path Prefix for Mail to handle them properly.
