Sent mail shows up on iphone but not on computer in sent box?

When I type a message and send it from the iphone it does not show up in the sent mail box on my computer or ipad.

On my set up, with the mobile me sync panel set to automatic and mail accounts ticked, I recieve incoming mail instantly. (on phone and mac)
Mail Accounts under the Sync tab for your MobileMe account settings is for syncing email account settings with the Mail.app between multiple Macs only. This has nothing to do with Fetching messages or new messages being pushed to the Mail.app or to the iPhone.
The iPhone includes a Push setting, which can be turned on or off. Are you saying if you turn Push access off on your iPhone and leave Mail Accounts selected under the Sync tab for your MobileMe account settings on your Mac, new messages will be pushed to your iPhone with your MobileMe account even though Push access is turned off on your iPhone?
+There is no setting at System Preferences > MobileMe under the Sync tab that has anything to do with the Mail.app.+
+The Fetch setting for the Mail.app is at Mail > Preferences under the General tab.+
+The Mail.app setting that allows for Push access with an IMAP account is available under the Advanced tab for the account preferences - use IDLE command if the server supports it.+
The iPhone includes a Fetch setting, which is used if Push access is turned off. The iPhone includes a global push setting - on or off, and you can enable or disable push access separately for received messages, contacts and calendars with a MobileMe account. I don't have push access enabled for received messages with my MobileMe account on my iPhone, but I do have push access enabled for contacts and calendar events.
The MobileMe sync settings under the Sync tab for your MobileMe account preferences has nothing to do with the Mail.app and checking for new messages or syncing server stored mailboxes with the Mail.app or with the iPhone's Mail client.

  • Gmail Facebook Mail Comes to my iPhone, But Not My Mac

For a few days now messages from people in a couple Facebook groups (and there are a lot of them) come to my iPhone, but not to my Mac or iPad. And they are all using the same router to get to the internet. And all other mail, before and after these messages gets to all three devices.
Sometimes mail to my Mac (in both the Mail application and using Safari to access gmail) is delayed. I'll be sitting at my Mac with gmail showing I haven't got a message in hours, and notice on my iPhone I've gotten a dozen messages. I'll try to refresh on the Mac and no luck. Then maybe 15 minutes later they'll appear. Don't know whether this is related.

    Hi neil43,
If you are not able to send or receive mail on your MacBook because you are being prompted for a password that is then rejected, I recommend trying steps in this article:
OS X Mail: Troubleshooting sending and receiving email messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3276
Tip: If you see a sheet or dialog that states 'Enter the password for user "email address'", this indicates that the email service provider is having an issue with the password being sent by Mail, or there is an issue with the email account. Contact the email service provider for support. Choose Window > Connection Doctor click "Show Detail" then click "Check Again". The information displayed in the "Show Detail" drawer may include details from the email service provider about what the issue is. Look for headers that start with "[ALERT]".
The article continues on to walk you through using Connection Doctor, and based on the results, how to troubleshoot further.

  • Mail message listed on iPhone but not in Mail on my iMac

Today I received a message on my iPhone but when I went to reply to it on my iMac the message did not appear even when I searched for it.
It also shows in my mail server's Webmail. This is very scary. How many other messages am I missing?

  • E-Mail shows up on alert, but not under mail

First time owner of an iPhone...I have the 4S.  I setup my personal and work e-mail.  The "front page" shows 100 new e-mails, but when I go into mail it is on the "welcome to mail" page.  I found one thread that suggests going into Settings...Mail, Contacts, Calendar...choosing account and then going into advance settings and directing e-mail to in-box...but there doesn't seem to be this option.  Any ideas?

  • Podcast PDF's showing up on iPhone but not desktop iTunes

Our church publishes a podcast from Sermon Studio (studio.sermon.net). We include mp3 audio and a PDF with message notes. These PDFs show up in the Podcasts iPhone app but not in iTunes under subscribed podcasts. Any idea why?

Oh, I forgot to mention that music seems to automatically download just fine whenever I buy a song off of my iPhone.  Another thing is, the movies were all bought off of my iPhone.

  • I purchased an album which shows on my iphone but not my macbook itunes

I bought the new U2 album "Songs of Innocence" and it shows as a purchase, but doesn't show in my playlist or list of purchased songs on my Macbook. It does show on my iphone though. I've tried downloading to iCloud, but still can't see the songs that I bought.

Not sure what you mean by 'tried downloading to iCloud'.
The album should show in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your Mac's iTunes for redownloading. Or you can connect your to your Mac's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy it over to the Music part of your library.

  • Purchased music shows in iphone, but not in computer, how can I get them bk

I can't find my purchased music from itunes, they show in my iphone and I can play them as well,
but they are nowhere to be found in my laptop. How can I get them back....It's almost $100.00
    value, need help please!!!

iTunes Store purchases are treated a bit differently than other music in your library. If you have authorized music purchases from the iTunes store on your phone and your computer is authorized for that same account, you can transfer purchased tunes from the phone to the computer -- whether you purchased them on the iPhone or on the computer. You can read more about transferring purchases here:

  • Network on iPhone, but not on computer

I'd unplugged my modem and airport express before I went on vacation. I came back home, I plugged everything in again, but now my Internet isn't working This is the situation:
    - I can see (and use) my network on my iPhone, but I can't see it on my computers (I have several computers at home, both Apple and PC. None can see my network).
    - Modem seems to be working fine, since I can use the internet on my iPhone without any difficulty
    - I've already performed a hard reset on my Airport Express, but it makes no difference.
    Can anyone help me?

I realize your solution helped Mr. Dre, but it hasn't worked for me. I had the same issue - I have an older Dell Lat D600 laptop as well as a new macbook and an iphone, all of which were accessing the internet wirelessly on the previous model (802.11g) of the airport express. When I replaced the airport express, I set up a wireless network with WPA/WPA2 personal security, at which point my iphone was able to access the network with no trouble, but my macbook and Dell laptops could not connect. They could each see the network, but the connections were timed out.
I spoke on the phone with an apple support tech, and she suggested I specify that the airport broadcast on channel 6, after which now the macbook has been able to connect. Still, however, the windows machine will recognize the network but not connect. When I have changed the settings to allow open access, my PC can connect, but it just times out if I use any security at all, from WEP on up. I have tried deleting my connection profiles from the PC and connecting again, but this has still not worked. Is this kind of thing a known issue?

  • My iphone 3g shows up in itunes but not my computer

I have been able to download my iphone camera roll photos for years, but my iphone no longer shows up as a device for Picasa or under "my computer".  But it does show up under itunes as a device, and properly syncs my contacts to my gmail account.  I need to download my lastest pictures (200 plus) but can't.  Is it a hardware issue?  I am also experiencing antenna issues (poor quality, not total loss)

If the iphone shows up in iTunes then the device is not the problem

  • TS4147 My contacts show on my iphone but not in my outlook.

Last week i noticed that I had mistakenly activated my icloud and realized no contact information was physically on my iphone. Looking at the information on the icloud showed that all my information resided there in full. I wanted to have my icloud shut off and to backup on my computer. The contacts were manually pushed to my phone while the problem was investigated. I was called back the next day and walked through the steps necessary to allow my computer to be the source of backing up my data. I noticed, several days later, that I had duplicates of all my contacts. I manually deleted each duplicate entry on my I phone. In addition, I updated information on 8 entries. Now, only the eight entries that I updated show in my Outlook. However all contacts are correct on my iphone.
I have tried to turn on the icloud to allow my contacts to be synced. I even went into my icloud account to update the contact information was correct. My itunes states my contacts are synced via the icloud but the information is not populating the Outlook. I want to make sure this information shows so I can finally shut down my contacts via icloud and use just my computer.

I'd wait.  iCloud (or parts of it) seems to be down today (check the other icloud forums for more posts on email problems).  Perhaps your problem is due to the down servers.  The day may come back - check for posts that claim iCloud is back up.

  • Itunes shows and charges iphone but not ipad2

Third day of working on this... First my ipad would not open apps.  After installing and reinstalling itunes repeatedly I am still at a place where i plug in my iphone and it shows, charges, and syncs.   But i plup in the ipad to the same usb and nothing...

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
    http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Mavericks Gmail account - new mail showing up in Archive but not in Inbox

For a Gmail account, new mail seems to be showing up in the "Archive" folder for that account (which seems to be mapped to Gmail's "All Mail").
However it isn't showing up in the Inbox for the account.
The settings seem identical to another Gmail account where mail is showing up in the Inbox.
Any thoughts of what I might do to get these mails to show up in the Inbox?
    Thanks,
    Doug

I don't know. I've given up for now and am using Mailplane. I will be doing a write-up on it, but it seems to be working much better than Airmail even.
The funny thing about using Mailplane, which is a lot more directly connected to Gmail than any of the other clients, is that for the first time I'm seeing that even the iOS Mail app, which I thought had no problems, is actually lagging quite a lot behind the actual Gmail contents!
I think Mail.app is hopeless at this point. Maybe it's good if you want to transfer an an entire IMAP set of folders between accounts if you are migrating (as is Thunderbird). But basically it's become extremely unreliable under Mavericks. I can't believe Apple let it out of the door.
